Las instalaciones son muy acogedoras y limpias, el desayuno rico, fresco y natural y la vista es simplemente impresionante. La atención de Ignacio fue excepcional, siempre dispuesto a ayudar y con una sonrisa en el rostro. Nos encantó la ubicación del hostal, muy cerca del Mirador entre Volcanes, lo que nos permitió disfrutar de la belleza natural del lugar. Sin duda, es un lugar ideal para relajarse y conectarse con la naturaleza. ¡Lo recomendamos ampliamente!

Sorprende el Hostal por su pulcritud, diseño, vista hacia el Estuario. Todo está en perfecto orden y harmonía. Un lugar de ensueño para recuperarse de un viaje agotador. La vista desde la habitación es hermosa y en la mañana te sorprende una grata temperatura dada por una estufa a pellet de última generación. Toda una experiencia
Llegar no fue fácil, me quedé esperando afuera del Hostal un rato antes de que apareciera el anfitrión. No tenía señal para hacerme avisar y no quise entrar sin aviso. Todo lo demás fue muy bueno

Like many places i the Lake District, the Eco Hostal is up a steep gravel road. It can be a tiny bit tricky to find in the dark but isolation equals quiet, stars, birds, peace. We loved it there!

Reviewed Feb 12, 2026We loved our stay at Las Bandurrias! It was the last night of our 3-week honeymoon and we were SO happy we made the trip here. There are only 3 rooms, so it is was very quiet and felt private, away from downtown (but not too far so you could still go to town for dinner!) We loved sitting outside reading at sunset enjoying the incredible views and listening to the birds. Ignacio prepared an incredible breakfast with bottomless coffee and yummy breads with cheese and jam. Would highly recommend this hostel for anyone passing through Cochamó and looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay.
No notes - all was incredible!

Reviewed Jan 29, 2026Las Bandurrias is heavenly! We arrived in the sunshine to find the most magnificent views and a place exuding warmth and homeliness. Ignacio could not have been a kinder, friendlier, more helpful host. The breakfast was delicious and it was so relaxing listening to background music. On day 2 when we had rain and low clouds, the wood burner had been lit making it very cosy. The only problem - I’m not sure how any other accommodation in Chile will match this!

Reviewed Jan 6, 2026This was really the best of all the accommodations of our whole Chile journey. We can highly recommend it! It's situated on a hillside above Cochamó and offers a phenomenal view down to the fjord and to the hills and volcanoes on its edges. The room was absolutely clean, well fitted and comfortable and Ignacio, the host, was absolutely welcoming, friendly and helpful to us! He made a very good breakfast, gave us lots of advices for our tours and was worried when we came back late after a hiking in the mountains.

Reviewed Nov 25, 2025Ich nenne dieses B&B The One Million Dollar View – denn von diesem Ausblick kann man einfach nicht genug bekommen. Nach unserer Ankunft haben wir es genossen, draußen zu sitzen und bei Kaffee und Kuchen den Blick über See und Berge schweifen zu lassen. Zahlreiche Vögel begleiten die Ruhe hier oben, die Atmosphäre ist einzigartig. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, und ein großes Plus ist die Möglichkeit, die Küche zu nutzen. Wenn es kalt wird, sorgt Ignacio dafür, dass der Ofen gemütlich brennt. Parkplätze gibt es direkt vor dem Haus. Wir haben uns rundum wohl und sicher gefühlt. Eine absolute Empfehlung – wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen. Der Ausblick verändert sich jeden Tag, und die Sonnenuntergänge von hier oben sind schlicht grandios.
Absolute Empfehlung! Das Frühstück besteht aus zwei Brötchen, einem Ei, Butter, Marmelade und einem kleinen Obstsalat. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt (wir waren drei Nächte hier) könnte es etwas abwechslungsreicher sein – dennoch war alles frisch und liebevoll serviert. Ignacio ist sehr bemüht und sorgt dafür, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt.

Reviewed Apr 3, 2025This place is very special, the view is spectacular you get panoramic views of the valley and mountains - the bedroom is very comfortable, the en-suite is great, everything is very clean and attention to detail from the owners is super - they’re attentive when needed and also let you have your privacy which is a nice balance. Lived sitting in the outdoor decking to read and enjoy a book, the gardens are peaceful, hummingbirds at breakfast - it’s a delightful retreat! The shared living space (living room / dining room / kitchen open plan) is great to use and it was nice chatting to others using and sharing ideas and thoughts. The road up is a gravel road and super manageable. There is a nice hike walkable from the accommodation and by car or foot into the town you have what you need (supermarket small but fine, tourist info etc). Once again the views! One of our favourite stays in Chile!

One of rooms was a little warm but cooled after window opend. Drive to get to the property is somewhat long, but no issue with any type of vehicle.

Problems with the wifi on our visit. The road to the accommodation from the main road is a 3km gravel road. Our hire car wasn't really suited to it.

Reviewed Sep 29, 2024We had an excellent stay at the Las Bandurrias Eco Hostal. The hostal located at a plateau above Cochamo offered a beautiful view from our room and the terrace to the Reloncavi estuary and the surrounding volcanoes. After a long day on the road we were happy to find a warm and cozy place. Our spaceous room with a private bathroom was very clean as well as the shared kitchen facilities. Ignacio was such a wonderful and caring host. He was very flexible in order to prepare an excellent full early breakfast at 6:00 am as we had to leave early for a hiking tour. He also provide great support in order to organize gasoline for our rental car from a neighbour.

Reviewed Feb 16, 2024Sylvi is a wonderfull and kind host. The location is all nature, wonder and tranquility. Beautyfull view on the fjord and surrounding mountains. Good star watching spot. Buildings and rooms are all wooden structures, clean and comfortable. Good shower facility. Sylvi will help you anyway she can to answer your questions.
The road up is quiet steep with a lot of deep put holes to be reckoned with. No complaints further.

The location was in a beautiful setting with breathtaking views. The accommodation was exceptional, exceeding our expectations. Our room was spotless, the beds were very comfy, the living area was spacious and beautifully designed with great outdoor seating. We couldn't recommend this place enough.

She is kind, thoughtful, funny, and a joy to chat with. She had great suggestions for things to do in the area. She made us feel at home. If you are considering booking here, just do it!
