The breakfast was ok comparing what I had from other similar hotels. Location is ok. The view was good because I booked lake view room.

There is no hot tub, so spa. Only single vanity. Food can be improved. I booked with executive room. When I checked in (the room was not ready by then), I was told to put in 9th floor executive room. However, when I picked my key. I realized it was on the 9th floor. I asked the reason and the front desk didn't provide a reason. Sigh!

Hi, I was a guest at your hotel from 28-30 March 2024. The service from check-in to departure was very warm and professional. In particular, I would like to compliment your staff, Mr Roger 余田生 for his excellent service (28 March) at Marriott Kitchen where I was having dinner. Roger has great initiative, is very attentive and is very responsible. He was able to make very good recommendations on food options and anticipate his guests’ needs. His product knowledge was also top-notch. He checked on his guests frequently to ensure they are very well taken care of without intruding into their privacy. I felt I was treated like family. Besides Roger, I would also like to compliment the Marriott check-in and concierge team for their professionalism and extraordinary service. I appreciate that they went the extra mile to make sure I get to my destinations. The staff who handled my check-in also took the initiative to break and exchanged my RMB100 note for smaller change when he heard I will be taking a taxi and will be paying the driver in cash. On my day of departure, a lady manager (forgot to get her name) ensured I could get to the airport on time. I wish the team all the best. They are doing excellent work. Best regards, Clara Singapore

Very nice hotel, cleanliness needs to be improved Amazing rooms, with bath tub, shower, WiFi…. Not much to do around there, they have 3 places to eat, including a bar. Make sure to download the Google translate app because English is not frequently spoken. The rooms, need to be slightly cleaner. I wiped the bathroom floor with a towel… it was all black. The showers need to be cleaned too! The breakfast there is really good.

The service and most of all the location

The hotel needs a major renovation. The room furnitures are old and worn out. The bfast buffet is mostly if not all Chinese, extremely limited western options, except for pastries and coffee.

So happy I have been travelling to China for 20 years and this hotel and its location was great. I actually felt like i was on holiday but it was work. Its a tonic after being in built up cities. Room was great. I would book this hotel again in a heart beat.

Hotel safe was not working when I checked in. This should be have been checked before a hotel guest checks in. Spent an hour waiting for this to be resolved. There should be a shuttle bus to the Wuxi Train Station.

This hotel is extremely new and it really shows - everything is very clean and in amazing condition, with very well trained staff. It is ~30 min by taxi from city center but really close to the lake and Li gardens, so perfect for a relaxed retreat! My stay here was extremely relaxing and as a new Bonvoy member convinced me of the value of the program. There are buses into town right outside of the hotel as well though. Here's what I noted: 1) I was immediately upgraded upon check in as a Gold Elite member to a Lake View room that was spectacular! There was an amazing view of Lihu Lake and the mountains behind it. Super relaxing. 2) The room was very new and in fantastic shape. There was a great very clean tub which I used nightly for amazing soaks. The TV swivels out so you can be in the tub, drink some tea (I requested a tea pot and cups from the kitchen from the front desk and they brought it), see the mountains and watch TV. I spent my last day this way and was extremely pleased. My only suggestion here is that they add a spa as I would've 100% used it while there! 3) The gym was very new and in fantastic shape. The machines are the same as in the Equinox I go to in the US. There is a Smith Machine, free weights, ellipticals, bikes, treadmills, etc. There's a steam room and a sauna and a fantastic looking pool and hot tub with lots of great looking lounge chairs that I unfortunately couldn't partake in because I didn't have my swim suit (although they have them for sale, I didn't go for it). There's also two amazing ping pong tables in the "Kids' Area" including an adorable tiny pink ping pong table for kids! The paddles are new and in great shape. 4) Loved the overall look of the hotel - it is really new and beautiful and with great water features and details on the walls and doors. 5) The lounge and food were also good. The only thing I would recommend is that they improve training of the bartenders, my cocktail was pretty awful even though the description sounded good. I ended up with a wine instead that was reliably good. There was live music in the lounge every night which was great! So was room service, great portions and good food. 6) Finally, staff were extremely solicitous and helpful! They helped me get taxis and ensure that they went to the proper location I wanted to go. They helped me with every request that I had. Staff at the gym were great. Overall HIGH level of service. Had no problems with the bed or water pressure.

First stay at this hotel. I had been staying at the Sheraton in Wuxi but it was fully booked so I chose this hotel. Seems to be a fairly new hotel. It is modern, clean and comfortable. I was given a view of the lake. Too bad there is so much smog otherwise I am sure the view would be great. Room is modern with USB ports & good tv. Nice shower and comfortable bed. Location is not the greatest. There is nothing around this hotel but I short taxi ride will get you back downtown. I didn’t give this 5 stars because of location, hvac system didn’t work well and internet is terrible. I still enjoyed my stay and will be returning in the future.

It was a nice property, close to the main tourist attractions. Getting taxis sometimes weren’t that convenient as they don’t drive inside unless the taxi was dropping someone off. It’s very clean and well maintained building. I booked a room for 3 people but they kept only providing 2 sets of towels, so there were a lot of phone calls for additional towels.

The property is nice service is great room is small bed ok. Shower has low water pressure. Vegetables and fruit selection at breakfast was ok. The call center speaks almost no English. People were smoking in the elevator and threw the cigarette buds on the floor. Check in and check out was quick and efficient

It is my second time to stay at Marriott Wuxi, and it impressed me a lot this time. I have to say the check-in and staying experience was not very good, because of the attitude of the receptionist and poor quality of the first room they arranged. As a new hotel, there is still a little off flavour, and in the room they gave me, there was a strong irritating smell. However, things were tackled perfectly with the efforts of their amazing staff. And I am writing this review mainly for introducing their amazing team instead of the hardware property (since it has been a lot). Catherine is one of the most professional duty managers I have encountered. She was caring, helpful and considerate. After knowing the problems of the room they arranged, she spent nearly the whole afternoon getting a solution. It made me a lot bit frustrated, but fully gratitude for her effort. Club Lounge manager Sophie is kind and intuitive. She could put herself in guests' shoes to offer assistance, with a genuine smile. Cherry Zhu was amazing as well, leading her team to deliver high-quality service. Special thanks for those amazing ladies. To be frank, we choose Marriott for staying, not only because of its great properties but also for its high standard of service, and the service is actually the key to impress us, to make us feel home. There will inevitably be issues occurring in a new hotel, it is those amazing people that make the issues no longer issues. I highly recommend this property, and if you encounter any problems when staying, I believe they can address them nicely.

The property is beautiful! Conveniently located close to Yuantouzhu (go to Fairy Island!). And only about 5 miles from the city center. The rooms are awesome, with great decoration and comforts! The staff when we arrived at the hotel was super helpful and all fluent in English. The second day, however, only one staff member spoke English and it was limited. The Golden Keys concierge made no attempt to understand my request to store our luggage for the day, even when I used a translation app. Finally when we came to collect our luggage, he didn’t even understand his own notes on the luggage ticket and had to search for a missing item for several minutes. I would stay again as it is extremely comfortable and beautiful, but I expect more from a global brand in terms of service. Even if you don’t speak English, there should be more effort to gain understanding of the guests’ needs

Property: Hotel seemed almost brand new. Really high quality rooms and lobby. Service was great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was easy/efficient. Gym was well equipped and large. Also has a nice big swimming pool. Location: amazing right along Lihu lake. Walking distance to liyuan and short drives to most other tourist attractions Breakfast: delicious with very large spread Will definitely come back and stay at this hotel again

I stayed here for 1 night. It is only 2-3 months old. The rooms are nice, the gym is not huge but has all new equipment. The lounge is a good size for the size of the hotel. The location of the hotel has nice views of the lake

I have been a long time SPG Plat and now since the programs are combined, I started to shift some of my stays to Marriott. I saw on the Marriott app that there's a brand new Marriott hotel in Wuxi and decided to give a try since the pictures of the hotel looked fantastic. Booked a quick two night stay and unfortunately I was quite disappointed. The hotel offers free parking (for now), but the elevator from the parking to the hotel lobby was quite hidden especially with the doors constantly closed. I was asked for my employee ID upon check in since I used a Corporate rate, which fortunately I had with me. As a Marriott Platinum, I was upgraded to a garden view executive floor king room, despite the fact that rooms with a lake view and even suites were available at the time according to the Marriott app, I didn't really argue too much about it since I was pretty tired, and I didn't have that much expectation of Marriott to follow its own upgrade rules. Anyhow, what really made me quite unhappy is the condition of the room. Despite of being less than 2 months old, there are so many wear and tear in the rooms. None of the electric sockets were working properly - significant amount of brutal force was needed to get any of them to take my chargers. Water pressure was unstable anytime the toilet was flushed, and the rainforest showerhead didn't work at all. Ah, and none of the staff I met during my two days stay said hi to me or even smiled to me when I walked by. The executive longe was very beautiful, and I did felt welcomed in there when greeted by the very welcoming lounge staffs. The happy hour spread was kind of midcourse in Asia standard, but overall the lounge experience was the shining spot of the entire stay. Overall, the hotel was quite beautiful, but the soft product needs significant improvements.
