Reviewed Sep 13, 2026The hotel ( guesthouse) was nice and clean, including the room, bathroom is well. The breakfast was fine.
The self check in is horrible after a long day. Around 9pm no body’s there for help, I had to find out my reading glasses, typing in a lots of details, what I doesn’t want to share with them. End of the process, I have got a piece of paper with code, no card, no key, a piece of paper. After that, a difficult door lock… At the room door code again in a dark corridor. No lift in the building, go up to the third floor with packages, lovely. On the morning we have got a not too kind staff in the restaurant. It was the worst experience in germany, never going again to this place!

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Titisee is a beautiful and charming place.
Titisee is a beautiful and charming place. However, after driving more than 1,000 km, we never expected to end up sleeping in an attic room that was hotter than the temperature outside, which was already 41 degrees. The self check-in process was smooth, and the location is great—close to both the town center and the lake. However, when we entered the attic room with our dog, we honestly felt like we couldn't breathe. The bathroom was even worse; it was unbearably hot and had almost no ventilation. We wanted to leave immediately, but after traveling over 1,000 km we were far too exhausted. Our dog had already spent so many hours in the car, and instead of being able to rest, we felt like we had brought him into a sauna. It would have been fair to clearly mention in the booking description that the room is located in the attic, has no air conditioning, and only a small fan instead of proper ventilation, which was completely insufficient to cool the room—even though we stayed for just one night. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and an unfortunate way to end our holiday!

Nessun riferimento umano e cartelli solo in tedesco.

Cleanliness
6/10Multiple guests reported unclean rooms (trash under beds, stained towels, traces of previous guests, reports of pests), although a few reviews noted the room was clean and spacious.
Service
9.5/10Mixed experiences: automated check-in caused problems for some and breakfast staff were sometimes curt, but several reviewers praised helpful on-site staff and specific staff members who assisted (e.g., Laser Game staff), indicating strong responsiveness when staff are available.
Location
10/10Consistently praised across languages: excellent, central location, very close to Titisee/center and convenient for excursions.
Room Quality
6.8/10Varied room quality: some rooms clean and comfortable, others had issues (too hot attic rooms, malfunctioning windows/doors, very soft mattresses, noisy party disturbances).
Amenities
7.2/10Amenities are mixed: parking and family rooms available, but several guests reported missing fridge/air conditioning, closed leisure activities on some days, and no lift for less mobile guests.
Value for Money
8.7/10Generally seen as good for families and as a base for excursions given the location; a few guests found the price a bit high, but many felt the location and family facilities justified the cost.
Food and Beverage
7.6/10Breakfast received mostly 'okay' to positive comments (buffet liked by some), but several guests requested more variety (more yogurt types, better selection) and described limited choices.
Overall Experience
9/10Overall stays are positive primarily due to the excellent location and family-oriented facilities, despite recurring issues with cleanliness, occasional noise and check-in automation problems.
