It’s convenience.
LOcation in the centre of the town is a great positive as one can walk everywhere
Great location, just off the main square, but secure and quiet. Room was well equipped and beautifully decorated. Hosts were very friendly and gave lots of advice
Nothing
Comfortable room and extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Walking distance to restaurants and town centre.

Very cosy and comfortable with places to relax together outside the rooms. We were made very welcome!
Our little cottage was cosy and very well appointed. The property was in a great location in the centre of town, with a restaurant just across the road and the pub and shops all in easy walking distance.
Central and homely
Noisy due to trucks on the main road during the night
The hosts were absolutely phenomenal, and made us feel so welcome and at home! The rooms are all beautiful, and the location is super central on the main road. Would definitely stay here again!
The hosts were lovely and welcoming. Mark has a great sense of humour and immediately made us feel welcome. Our room was upgraded to the honeymoon suite and it was great having a kitchenette and a Nespresso machine... We had a verandah and a little braai place, will great views of the mountains.
Nothing.
I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the location near to everything in town. The decor and style of the property is beautiful. The views are also stunning.
Because it was winter, the veld was bleak and brown. Would love to see it after the rains. Not the property's fault, though!
Friendly management, clean, great location
Didn't want breakfast

It is the perfect rest stop between Pretoria and Sodwana Bay. The hosts are lovely, the property is beautiful and the room was super comfortable.
The standard of room was very good for the price, and Karen was a very helpful and accommodating host.
The rooms are close together, so noise can travel.
A wonderfully comfortable self catering cottage. Well equipped and thoughtfully appointed.
Friendly hosts. Very comfortable room
Loved the decor . Mark and Karen were lovely hosts .

Venue was convenient for a first time visitor to Wakkerstroom.
Door hooks on floor and lock provided some challenges.
the owner is really lovely - very friendly, helpful and can't do enough for you. room was fantastic and felt very unique. very comfy bed and excellent shower.
nothing! very impressed.
The location was very central with safe parking. We chose to have dinner which was outstanding. The house had a nice atmosphere and our host (besides being the chef) was very pleasant and helpful.
Good location nice and clean
The bathroom/ shower is very small a big person will not fit between the shower wall and basin to go to the toilet
Great location close to all the restaurants etc in town. Mark and Karen were very welcoming and hospitable.
Everything was very comfortable and warm cosy feel.
No fridge anywhere to keep meds and drinks cold!
Lovely views
Location, clean and comfortable, very cozy, would highly recommend. Would go again!!
The rooms at Dekotzenhof are beautifully decorated and the facilities exceptional. Fresh flowers in the room. The gardens are beautiful. We were disappointed that we had only booked one night and wished we could have stayed longer to explore the area.
Nothing.
Very friendly hosts, made us feel at home. Beautiful room and very comfortable bed. Thanks Mark and Karen

Great hosts, great location, in the middle of town, but still quiet and peaceful! If you stay there, please ask them to make dinner, Mark is a fantastic chef! Safe place for families, couples or solo travelers!
For us, everything was great! 😃👍
very good stay with Karen and Mark. Big dinnner and breakfast. Good sleep. Wakkerstroom is a nice little place. Very good for a stopover from St Lucia to Johannesburg.

We had a lovely stay at DeKotzenhof. Karen and her husband are very friendly, and will definitely walk the extra mile. You will see us soon again.
nice and skilful rooms. very warm welcome.
The quaint little town, the friendly hosts, the sizzling hot fire going in the lounge, the electric blankets and heater in the bathroom, boiling hot water, warm water bottles and flask with boiling water ready for coffee and hot water bottles due to town electricity being off, etc.
We loved everything. It was just a pity that the specific day of our arrival, the towns electricity was off from 7am that morning and only came back on after 8. We wanted to go eat out, because of the electricity (and thus a water issue), the hotel was nit able to offer any food. Luckily I had bread, cold meat and cheese in our cooler that we could prepare at candle light. I am sure the owners would have offered food if we asked. The situation was out of the hosts control & they went out of their way to make us comfortable.
Karen and Mark where very welcoming upon our arrival. The Deli is stocked with delicious home made cookies and treats and has a very warm and homely atmosphere. I would most definitely recommend them as they really go the extra mile with service and serve a delicious breakfast.
Nice and Cosy
No milk
Did not have breakfast
Water pressure
The rooms are well thought through and bathroom more than ample. Breakfast was wonderful, thanks Chef Mark. Perfect stop over place as you can walk to anywhere else in town easily
not the fault of the establishment but because of loadshedding, there was no water in the morning as the pump station had tripped. there were containers of water available for such times but it must be terribly inconvenient for any establishment to work around and very annoying for foreign tourists who are not accustomed to our new normal
Really friendly hosts Super comfortable and cozy bed Delicious breakfast Lovely garden
very friendly hostess
evening three course meal not what we wanted but recommendation to local restaurant great
Karen is amazing, helped us a lot beyond expactations
Lovely spacious property with interesting garden
Room was a little cluttered
