Hotel Hamlet

We were meant to stay for one night but were happy to return to the hotel following a disruptive flight cancellation. The hotel is within walking distance of the medieval centre, train station, free 24 hour car park, museums & stunnig Kronborg Castle. Isabelle, Denis & Petina on the front desk were a pleasure to deal with. Rooms are on the small side, functional and with old world character. Beds were soft but comfortable. When we returned after a sleepless night at Copenhagen Airport - abandoned by our Irish airline - the hotel allowed us to check in four hours early and at no extra cost. Overall, a great few days. And we intend to return to Helsingor; and this particular hotel.

There's ongoing building on the street outside - not the hotel's fault. And it didn't really inconvenience us.

Hommikusöök oli väga maitsev, värsked soojad saiad ja piisav valik. Toad olid väga mõnusad ja hubased, dušš hea survega. Teenindus oli sõbralik, eriti meeldis see, et hommikusöögi alal sai pärastlõunal vabalt istuda ja kohvi võtta ning ka oma sööki tarbida. Ka hotelli asukoht oli väga hea.

Kuna majutusime päris mitu päeva, siis mõni väike asi oleks võinud hommikusöögil ka vahelduda. Iga päev oli täpselt sama valik, mis oli siiski väga maitsev!

Locatie was geweldig, openbaar parkeerterrein dichtbij en niet duur, kleinschalig hotel, goed ontbijt.

De prijzen in Denemarken voor een Hotel zijn duurder dan in de rest van Europa en dat geldt ook voor Hotel Hamlet. Voor dit geld heb je een te kleine kamer en redelijke bedden.

Really nice locaion and the roadworks which were going on outside were not as 8ntrusive as expected.

Very old hotel with tiny rooms - must say the beds were very, very comfortable. Breakfasts were great and location was good. Not a place to relax after a busy day... I might add that having 4 days of rain didn't help matters.

The tiny, tiny room made it all but impossible to relax. I thought it was quite expensive for what was offered.

Very friendly staff. Clean and functional room with very clean windows. Good location for all attractions. Fab city.

There were roadworks happening outside but cannot blame the hotel.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral direkt in der Stadt, wodurch man direkt vor der Tür verschiedene Möglichkeiten hat, zu stöbern. Das Zimmer war sauber und es war alles, wie beschrieben. Es gibt viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe. Das Frühstücksbuffet war lecker und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich.

Leider gibt es keine Parkplätze vor Ort, was die Anreise mit dem Gepäck etwas erschwert hat, aber das muss man wohl in Kauf nehmen, wenn man so zentral ist. :) An der Unterkunft an sich gibt es nichts Negatives zu berichten.

Zentrale Lage am Bahnhof und in der Altstadt.

Sehr kleines Zimmer für den Preis. Föhn war defekt und der Wasserhahn der Dusche war so verkalkt, dass man die Wassertemperatur nicht mehr einstellen konnte.

Room was spotless anac beds were very comfortable. We don’t usually select breakfast in hotels but we did here. They had. Great selection including fried eggs and we used them both mornings. Having n elevator was great and the staff was helpful.

This was nothing the hotel could control. There is major street construction in front of the hotel with the street totally blocked off so we spent more than n hour trying to get to the hotel to block off our luggage which we never accomplished. We parked at the 24 hour free parking place which was an 8 minute walk away. Since we are 84/77 years old the haul with all our luggage was difficult . When we left we discovered that we could bring our car all the way up Strandgade to the very end where construction begins and we were practically at the front door of the hotel. This made a world of difference as the walk to the parking lot with no luggage was a breeze.

Rooms can get stuffy especially with no extractor fan in bathroom.

Exactly what I’d want from a small city hotel, we had a great sized room with street views.

Værelset og badeværelset var slidt og der lugtede af skimmel og klam parfume (måske for at dække over lugten). Der er støj fra gaden - fulde folk. Ingen tilhørende parkering. Det var svært at finde en ledig plads i nærheden.

Väldigt trevlig personal som hade hand om incheckning och så. Lugnt och tyst på hotellet och jag fick en fåtölj på rummet som jag hade begärt.

En av kvinnorna i köket var tämligen sur och tjurig. Frukosten var torftig. Inga kokta ägg, ingen kaviar, ingen sill. Men det som fanns var smakligt och gott.

the location was great. parking worked out well. the staff was caring and professional. the room was well appointed. it is in a historic building, so there are old stairs and antique furniture which fits the style. Breakfast was good and worth the price.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but there were very few restaurants that were open during our stay or they closed early. that was a bit surprising.

Frukosten var utmärkt och sängarna var sköna. Vänlig perrsonal och mycket centralt område. Lite slitet men vinner i charm och trevnad.

Badrummet var litet o trångt som en liten korridor, med toalett, handfat o dusch längst in.

Lovely old building, creaky floors and lots of character. My room was a single and I felt like I was in a ship's cabin (although not all that small, it had wood panelling and ceiling beams). The breakfast was plentiful- great bread, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bacon, eggs etc, and the staff were friendly and replenished the hot dishes regularly. Nice dining room. I liked the way reception left a selection of tea bags etc out to pick from and take to the room.

The bathroom was pretty old, not in a good way. Definitely needs refurbished soon! Not the hotel's fault, but they are digging up the streets in the old quarter and there was a water pump running all night, presumably to keep the giant hole outside from getting waterlogged. Not a particuarly quiet street in any case, as there are a couple of bars nearby and groups of presumably Swedish young men over for nights out before getting late ferries back to Helnsingborg. I used ear plugs!

Proximity to station and ferry and everything. Staff was kind. Tea selection is nice.

Really old rooms with only a surface fix up. Could hear everything from room above us and was very cramped. Construction on street made it hard to enter and wasn’t informed until arrival day. Shower is odd configuration, messy and bath needs a fan. Overpriced for what you get and I do not recommend unless it’s your only option. Next time we would stay across water somewhere in Helsingborg, Sweden or south closer to Copenhagen.

L’Hôtel et surtout la salle du petit déjeuner présentent beaucoup de charme avec un style ancien nordique en plein centre de la ville. Très bien situé.

La salle de bain est un peu triste.

Hjælpsomt personale. God beliggenhed og meget god morgenmad med få men gode, veltillavede ting. Hotellet er lidt “slidt i kanten” og det ses flere steder. God seng.

The location (and friendly greeting at Reception) saves Hotel Hamlet. Proximity to train station, Kronborg Slot and ferry terminal are also positives. I would also say that the view from my particular room (reasonably proportioned) was great. Secure bicycle storage in a historic wine cellar is a plus.

Wardrobe door in my room was not properly secured and came away when opened and the hand soap/body wash seemed to be watered down and a strange mix of different aromas, like it had been topped up and/or diluted. A reasonable attempt was made at breakfast but sadly it was cold. Storage of room servicing trolleys in upper lobby compromised available circulation space. By no means terrible and perhaps several of the "faults" are due to the historic/compact nature of the building.

Struttura situata in centro a Helsingor e vicina ad un ampio parcheggio. Seppure la struttura sia di piccole dimensioni la colazione è variegata e curata. Camere old style però confortevoli. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile, ci ha aiutato a risolvere un problema

La posizione super centrale. Le receptionist molto gentili. Le dotazioni in.camera/ tè, caffè, caramelle all'ingresso, guide turistiche.

La doccia era scomoda. Mancava una tenda ed essendo il bagno mansardato non si riusciva a stare in piedi!

Hyggeligt hotel med lækker morgenmad

Ville gerne have haft oplyst at der er en konstant brumme lyd i familieværelset. Når man lider af tinnitus, er det ret relevant.

Jättegod frukost, perfekt läge mitt i stan, mycket prisvärt, trevlig och hjälpsam personal!

Historical building. Great location. I arrived by bicycle and they had a secure spot for storing my bike.
