Leonardo Plaza Hotel Jerusalem

The room was very comortable with view and high level.The food was very good.

When we came at 18:00 there was only one person at the reception and we have been a little bit in a hurry because two hours later there was a show and we waited a long. we decided to make a late check up at 23:30 when we came back and we took our bags with us till the late check up.

A stay that fell far short of expectations We booked and paid for a 5-star room specifically requesting a quiet, clean room. Instead, we were placed in a room right on the main junction, with heavy traffic noise every single night. On top of that, construction work in the hotel started early every morning, adding to the noise. If the hotel is undergoing renovation, it would be better to simply close rather than keep guests staying through it. The area is extremely noisy and on top of that there are construction sites all around the hotel making the access very difficult. We saw disabled people forced to use the stairs to access the hôtel with no one volunteering to assist! When we asked to change rooms, we were repeatedly told the hotel was fully booked — though it was clear this wasn't true. They placed a movement detector (on top of a fire detector) that flashed with a bright red light non stop at night just opposite the bed! I have never seen anything like that in a hotel. Staff repeatedly knocked on our door despite the "Do Not Disturb" light being clearly lit in red, and despite us refusing them entry, they insisted they had "checks to do." This happened more than once and felt like a total disregard for basic privacy. Reception staff were unhelpful throughout our stay and dismissive of any request we raised. Housekeeping was a major issue: our room was not properly cleaned, and the bedsheets were old and rough — hardly what you'd expect when told they were "spotless clean." Every single day, housekeeping sprayed a heavy, cheap perfume in the room. We asked multiple times for this to stop, but the request was never respected — it seemed like even the most reasonable requests got lost in the overall chaos. Food quality was consistently poor. Breakfast was bad, with food that wasn't fresh — even the bread was stale.

In general, everything was really good: the bed was super comfortable, the little treats in the room were a nice touch, the room size was good, the breakfast was generous, the pool was clean, the water temperature was at the desired level for an early-morning swim, and the view from the room is breathtaking and exciting (though to enjoy it, you really have to stick to the window).

The small details were a bit disappointing. The room is spacious, but it feels empty. Next to the decorated table, there was only one chair (and it was uncomfortable to sit on), even though there were two of us in the room! There was one armchair in the corner of the room (I did not understand its location or purpose), and the shower accessories were uncomfortable to use. The refrigerator was wet and damp. I should note that I received a redesigned room. At breakfast, the cold drinks (orange juice, lemonade, and cold water) were served in plastic cups... Very environmentally unfriendly and uncomfortable.

שילמנו תוספת של 600 שח על מנת לקבל חדר שמשקיף על העיר העתיקה ובמקום זה קיבלנו חדר שמשקיף על בניין מכוער.אישתי התציידה בצבעים על מנת לצייר את העיר העתיקה , התמונה תראו משקיבלנו. אני מצפה להחזר של ה- 600 שח.

Tout était très bien , l’emplacement , le petit déjeuner et la chambre .

La personne a l’accueil Omar , pas très sympathique , ne comprend pas l’anglais et c’est très difficile de communiquer.

Excellent Experience at Leonardo Plaza Jerusalem I had a very pleasant experience at the Leonardo Plaza Jerusalem, even though I did not stay overnight. I spent time at the lobby bar, which has a lovely atmosphere and excellent service. The lobby was very clean, elegant, and well maintained. A special mention to Karim from the lobby bar, who was friendly, professional, and made the visit especially enjoyable. I would also like to recognize Ayman from Housekeeping for his professionalism and attention to cleanliness and detail. Overall, a beautiful hotel with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent staff. Highly recommended.

המיקום מאוד מרכזי, להכל אפשר להגיע ברגל, בית כנסת המלון מאוד פעיל, אוכל טעים ובשפע, שירות טוב.

החדרים במצב גרוע, תחזוקה לא טובה, במיוחד המקלחת מיושנת מאוד. היה לנו חור בתקרה שנזל ממנו מים. בקיצור מלון מצויין רק שהחדרים חייבים שיפוץ בהול!!!

המחיר של ארוחת ערב גבוה לזוג. רצינו ארוחת ערב והמחיר היה ממש גבוה. 460 ש"ח לזוג, לא היה בבריכה מסעדה פתוחה והיו עוד אנשים שרצו לאכול בצהריים בסביבות השעות 14עד 15 ולא היה אף אחד בבריכה, למרות שבקבלה אמרו תרדו למטה ויש אפשרות להזמין אוכל.ונאלצנו לצאת החוצה למד רחוב לאכול לא היה חדר עם מרפסת

This hotel is in a great location. The rooms are nice and the service is excellent. The breakfast buffet is very good variety and quality. The pool should be updated and open until later in the afternoon.

המיקום של המלון מצוין ונוח לטיול בירושלים, אך לצערנו זה היה כמעט הדבר היחיד שאפשר לציין לחיוב.

לצערנו זו הייתה אחת מחוויות האירוח הגרועות שהיו לנו. כבר בצ'ק-אין נאמר לנו שנקבל הודעה כשהחדר יהיה מוכן, אך ההודעה מעולם לא נשלחה. לאחר שחזרנו מסיור בעיר גילינו שפשוט שכחו לעדכן אותנו. כששאלנו על הבריכה נאמר לנו שהיא נסגרת בשעה 17:00. במלון ברמת 5 כוכבים זה מאכזב מאוד, במיוחד כשקיבלנו את החדר רק בסביבות 16:00, כך שכמעט ולא הייתה לנו אפשרות ליהנות מהבריכה. בשעה 17:30 ניסינו לנוח בחדר, אך החלו רעשי שיפוצים חזקים מאוד מהחדר שמעלינו, כולל קידוחים ודפיקות. פנינו לקבלה והמנהל אמר שיטפל בכך, אך הרעש נמשך גם לאחר מכן. יש ברשותנו סרטונים שמתעדים את הרעש. בחדר עצמו מצאנו שקיות קפה שכבר היו פתוחות, דבר שהעלה אצלנו חשש לגבי רמת הניקיון וההקפדה על הכנת החדר. בארוחת הבוקר עדכנו מראש שאשתי טבעונית ונאמר לנו שיהיו אפשרויות עבורה. כשהגענו נאמר לנו שכל הגבינות הטבעוניות בדיוק נגמרו. בנוסף, בעמדת הסלטים היו מלפפונים רקובים, וגם לכך יש לנו תיעוד. בזמן הצ'ק-אאוט המנהל פאדי אמר שמנהלת המלון תיצור איתנו קשר ביום ראשון כדי לטפל בנושא. עד היום אף אחד לא יצר איתנו קשר. לצערנו, השירות, הניקיון, התחזוקה וההתנהלות הכוללת לא תאמו כלל את הציפיות ממלון 5 כוכבים. לא נחזור למלון הזה ולא נוכל להמליץ עליו לאחרים.

שלא הצלחנו לישון כמו שצריך וקיבלנו השקמה משהע בבוקר של קדיחות על עבודות במלון שלא נתנו לנו מנוחה ועשו לנו רעש איום ונורא

There was very loud construction near the building and outside the building making it difficult to stay in the room during the day. It’s a chutzpah to charge the prices they charge for rooms whilst this construction is going on. The hotel is difficult to access by foot if you have a stroller. Staff were very unhelpful when we complained about the noise

Breakfast: Sunday not the best day for service because so few tourists now, Monday was better because a group was coming we heard. There was more staff monday. They were very good when they were present! A new nice dark hair door manager is a good addition, very polite and professional, the other long haired one too. The front desk needs a refresher course on people skills. "Good morning, how was you stay, | etc or "I understand" to say to customers. One woman was pretty lacking in that. It's nice to have "people skilled staff", "thank you for staying with us again" to say to the clients etc. HOWEVER management is amazing, Ronit and the night manager (ami?) sent us fruit and wine and apolgized for the work being done which is noisy and dusty (you gotta know that)/ So the upper management is irreplaceable and fantastic and the waiters are great etc. The deep tissue massage (woman gave it) is excellent, The upgraded rooms are very very nice and just be sure they are not working near your floor as rennovation is going on, so make sure you call and write exactly what you need. The new carpet is really lovely.

Just they need to do a bit of fine tuning at the front desk to make it a better experience for special needs and communication. Israelies are misunderstood very much so they need to work on people skills in hospitality. That will help alot, The "sofa" listed in Booking.com is not as a Western sofa, it is a big nice chair which sits only one person and streches out to a bed (I give it a 5). So your other chairs are not the best for sitting long times. There are many Heavily Orthodox so very strict with foods eaten and enforced in separate rooms. We had to eat meat outside because the coffee bar is milk only. It was windy. The Jewelry store is really good, ask for John, family owned for decades. I wish the spa was better decorated in the hall on the way. It is most bland, it needs bright pictures leading to the spa under the stairs area. The dining area you can see everyone in their bathing suits and the pool. I do not think that is good because there is lots of immodesty today. Not ideal for a young child to see all that with the family or honeymooners. The pool area is not exciting enough, it needs some color, umbrells in orange and yellow and make it look appealling!! It could be MUCH better and needs a Jacuzzi next to it. The train is being built and the center of Jerusalem is a nightmare as a result. Ask for Ronit if you need anyhting special, she really is the pillar of the hotel and such a blessing that she is still there. We do love the hotel, because of Ronit and staff.

Very disappointing and not a place we would recommend.

One of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. We booked this hotel based on the information provided on the website, which clearly stated that check-in begins at 3:00 PM. However, upon arrival, we were informed that check-in would not be available until 10:00 PM. This completely disrupted our plans and was unacceptable. What made the situation even worse was the attitude of the staff. The employee Bashar at reception was unhelpful. At no point did he try to assist, show understanding, or offer any alternative solution. We genuinely felt that he did not care about our situation at all. Unfortunately, the manager was no better. Instead of trying to resolve the issue or find a reasonable compromise, he made no real effort to help. We were left feeling ignored and unwelcome. In the end, we had no choice but to leave and spend part of our day searching for another hotel. What should have been the start of a pleasant stay turned into a stressful and frustrating experience.

The location was ideal. Close to Ben Yehuda Street, Mamilla and the Old City. Great buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Clean, updated rooms. Great amenities. And the staff truly aim to please. I look forward to staying here again!

פעם שלישית שלנו במלון. מרוצים מאוד משירות של צוות המלון והאוכל. בנוסף, היינו בחדר משופץ - חדר יפה. זאת ועוד, הייתה לנו בעיה להגיע למלון בעקבות חסימות של הכביש עקב הצעדה של יום ירושלים והיינו אמורים לפספס את א. הערב ורונית עזרה לנו ודאגה לנו לא.צהריים בשבת במקום חמישי בערב ורק שילמנו את ההפרש.

The breakfast was wonderful, the room was large, and the location is hard to compete with. The service from the staff, especially the service manager, was exceptional.

Good location. Room size was fine. Comfortable beds. The staff tried to be helpful, but clearly there is a problem with the overall upkeep of the hotel.

Overall, the hotel has seen many better days. Our room was dirty. Furniture scratched and in some cases broken. Had to be asked to switch room several times, but each room had similar problems. Very disappointed. Honestly, we feel that we should have been compensated.

I was charged a lot of extra fees that I had no choice to pay since we arrived tired and right before Shabbat. I just swallowed hundreds of dollars more into our stay. I booked for 2 adults and 1 children. I was forced to pay a lot of money for the child even though the child was under my reservation.

Run down disorganized dirty place

We went for my granddaughter's Bat Mitzvah. The accommodations are acceptable, only one person in the front desk knows how to help the guests properly. I had a luncheon for my family and I went over the desired menu with Yonatan and everything we discussed was not followed. We didn't have any of the Sephardic dishes I requested. After returning home I found a charge of 488 Shekels which I couldn't recognize. I asked the Hotel, I asked Expedia and nobody could help me. American Express fraud unit found that an extra charge was put on my card by one of the front desk personnel and when I complained, they produced a fictional statement for 2200 Shekels and said that the 488 charged was VAT tax. I never charged 2200 shekels for anything. I tried asking the hotel directly and they wouldn't respond. I asked the Fattal group for help and they wouldn't help. I would never stay in any of their hotels again. No Leonardo, no Herods...... I prefer to do business with honest people that don't product dishonest employees.

Friendly staff, good food, comfortable beds, most importantly felt safe.

I had an amazing experience. The food was delicious and the chef and staff in the restaurant were so helpful to all my needs since I have several food sensitivities. This was by far one of the top hotels I've been to who took care of every detail. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

Great experience overall, better priced than other hotels in the area. Was perfect for our trip, from the Location to the food everything was super!! Would definitely stay there again!

Breakfast was outstanding. huge variety of salads, egg types, coffee and sweets. I don't think you can get any better than that. rooms was specious and clean with great view of Jerusalem. would recommend without hesitation.
