Holiday Inn Philadelphia-Cherry Hill by IHG

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend with my son. There were some positives—the bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed the pool. The room itself was generally clean, but unfortunately, the bathroom was a completely different story.

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend with my son and unfortunately had a very disturbing experience. The room itself was generally clean, but the bathroom was a completely different story. Throughout the night, bugs were flying and crawling out of the bathroom ventilation vent. This occurred between approximately 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM. I personally killed approximately 100 bugs during that time, and many ended up on the bathroom mirror, shower, sink, and surrounding areas. I have numerous photographs documenting the condition. Because this was happening in the middle of the night, there was not a reasonable opportunity to go downstairs while the issue was actively occurring. I reported the problem to the front desk afterward and was told the matter would be addressed. Unfortunately, there was no meaningful resolution offered, and despite requesting that management review the situation, no one from management has contacted me. I find this extremely disappointing. I should not have to spend the middle of the night killing bugs coming out of a bathroom ventilation vent, especially while staying at a hotel with my son and paying the price charged for the room. I am not expecting a full refund, but given the severity of the pest issue and the lack of an appropriate response from the hotel, I believe some form of partial refund or meaningful compensation would be reasonable. The most disappointing part is that I gave the hotel an opportunity to address the situation directly, but I have yet to hear from anyone in management. I would strongly encourage management to take this type of complaint seriously and ensure that appropriate action is taken.

Clean and quiet.

One of the two beds was so soft, it was not slept in. Glad there were two beds in the room, the soft one would have been awful for our backs.

There was a gentleman there at the front desk who was outstanding. He was working at about 2:30 on 8/21 when we arrived. I had trouble with my debit card and he was so understanding. Loved him

I honestly can not think of one thing. The room was spotless. The staff that I dealt with was exceptional. Very nice experience.

The pools were great and they have an ev charger on site that charges the same as going elsewhere. Staff was friendly when I need help.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. Employees were kind and helpful. The kitchen staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and meet our requests. A great experience.

Broken elevators; breakfast is only put out once no reloads on food as large as the hotel is and the small selection of dry food. U end up with no breakfast u paid for so go for no breakfast n save your money. Room was not clean. TV remote was missing found it in the sofa bed sheets, trash on rug which showed not vacuumed. No carts to bring luggage up asked desk she said idk I been to busy to notice. Over priced n not worth the stay. Cherry hill nj I expected much better

Serious problems with my reservation and the worst Front Desk people ever. Didn’t have my unit ready and they didn’t apologize for that and then after hours, somebody knock on my door grown apartment. It was a crazy moment.

We stayed 2 nights in a king suite top floor. The 500+ sf suite was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. Dinner at the restaurant was very good. The breakfast, unfortunately was barely edible. We plan to stay at this hotel again whenever we travel to the area. Couple of practicle considerations: consider bringing a firestick or other device for access to streaming service as their TV set up was not working at the time; the walk-in shower was fine but requires some gymnastics to set water flow and temp without having to get in first; the garbage disposal opening was large enough to permit an adult hand to be inserted if the safety plug is not used; and, finally, be prepared to ignore repeated text and email instructions/demands to complete the precheck-in as it asks for info you do not have. The staff is aware of the problem and is not in a position to fix/change it. Check-in at the desk upon arrival as no problem.

I stayed with a group of 75 high school students and chaperones and it was perfect for our group! All of our rooms were ready and keys sorted upon arrival. No issues with any of the rooms. The front desk staff was always friendly and accommodating, especially Amanda who worked in the evenings. I know it can be overwhelming when 75 people all show up at once asking for towels and buying snacks, but Amanda always assisted all of our students and staff with a smile. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Philadelphia!

The room offered to us did not have properly functioning air conditioning. The AC unit was unable to cool our room below 85 degrees on a very hot day. Management could not replace or repair the unit and refused to offer us another room. They said it was just a very hot day. We decided not to accept the room, and checked out to stay at another property. We would like a refund for our hotel booking. The room was not used and was vacated within the hour of our arrival. The staff informed us that any refund was a matter between us an booking.com as the third party.

I am driving down the east coast on vacation and after a day of driving Amanda at the front desk made my day! She was personable, funny, charming and made the whole check in seamless. Thank you Amanda for providing excellent service. Holiday Inn is lucky to have you representing their brand.

Very clean. Nice seating areas for games and conversations in lobby between hotel and restaurant. Staff was friendly and efficient and check-in was smooth.

Restaurant was seriously understaffed, with only one server on a busy weekend. The server was pleasant and efficient but very much on her own. Our group of nine waited patiently for dinner the evening we arrived, but had to leave without the breakfast we ordered the next morning in order to get to the funeral we were in town to attend.

Breakfast. This hotel management needs to seriously consider how they handle breakfast experience for their guests. Some of our party had paid for breakfast to be included in their stay. We had stayed at this hotel to attend a funeral. Knowing that we would need to leave at a specific time, we informed staff that we needed to be out by a specific time. We allotted 1.5 hours to have breakfast. If service could not have been provided in that timeframe, we should have been informed that they could not accommodate us in that timeframe. Instead, they took our drink and breakfast orders at once. We sat and waited. We received our coffee but never our food. Service was extraordinarily slow. We only ever saw one server. While we sat, we didn't see any other tables receive any food either. Some other guests, not of our party, got up and left. Ultimately, we unfortunately had to leave the restaurant without our food. We arrived 10 minutes late to the funeral home. I believe the waitress was unsupported and overwhelmed due to being basically on her own which is unacceptable in a hotel as large as this one. We felt regret for needing to leave but had no other option. If you plan to offer breakfast, you should bring back the buffet or provide full disclosure about how understaffed and slow service will be.

Front desk said breakfast was served until 11am, as did the sign in the lobby. I paid $20 extra to have breakfast included and we made our way downstairs a little before 10 and everything was empty. They never refilled it, either. There was cereal but no milk, coffee was empty, only two slices of bacon, and the bagels and bread for toast was empty. The bartender said breakfast ended at 10, but the sign clearly said 11. I will ask the property for a refund.

I had an amazing stay at the Holiday Inn Cherry Hill during Memorial Day weekend on Sunday night! From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff provided exceptional customer service and made me feel welcomed right away. The check-in process was smooth, professional, and friendly. As a Platinum Rewards member, I truly appreciated being recognized and even receiving a complimentary upgrade to a king room, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The room was spotless, comfortable, modern, and very relaxing after a long weekend. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was well maintained throughout the hotel. What stood out the most was the hospitality from the staff. Even during a busy holiday weekend, everyone remained professional, attentive, and genuinely caring toward guests. It’s not often you find a hotel team that goes above and beyond the way they did here. I also appreciated the late checkout accommodation, which made the experience stress-free and convenient. Overall, this was one of the best stays I’ve had in a long time, and I will absolutely return again in the future. Thank you to the entire team at Holiday Inn Cherry Hill for making my Memorial Day weekend stay such a great experience!

We had come to Philadelphia on vacation from the UK, in order to see and visit the attractions relating to the forthcoming 250th anniversary. We deliberately chose a hotel on the outskirts of the city for better value for money, and easy & free parking. The hotel was lovely, clean and well presented, with everything that we needed. Our room on the 6th floor had a lovely view of the city skyline in the distance. Although we didn't eat evening meals at the hotel, having the bar was very welcome. Staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful, dealing with a few very minor issues plenty of FREE parking. . If I ever come back to Philadelphia, I'd have absolutely no hesitation in booking to stay here again.

When using the sink in the bathroom the water took an awful long time to come through HOT, but when it did, it certainly was hot enough.

The location s very convenient. The hotel is generally quiet at night and the staff is friendly and responsive.

The restaurant has changed management and the breakfast is not as good as we have previously had with prior stays. The breakfast buffet did not include all the normal offerings. The eggs in the chafing dish were cold. No waffles or oatmeal and the coffee was not available for self serve.

That I wasn't able to control the lights of the room for my bed terrible not being able to turn off the light from your bed.

The “queen” beds are double beds. The beds were way too soft. The water pressure in the shower was low. The free wifi was unusable. The room had no water or toothbrushes.

Well the man at the front desk would not even take my name or reservation and told me check in time if 3pm to only come back then! What you cant even look or check me in until my room is ready? Well that was part 1. They said there are no rooms because they were full and need to clean. Well they did not clean our room because when we got in. We saw bugs. And in both beds there was makeup stains, black stains, hair clumps under the sheets. We could not get a refund on booking.com so had to stay. I dont have enough words but then the pool, there was no clean towels and 15 kids unattended splashing and fighting in the pool. I reported it to the front desk but they did nothing but look and leave. Needless to say we could not sleep and it was horrible. I told the front desk about the room condition and pool and they did nothing. Will never stay here again, we were so grossed out and felt so unsafe and we did not want to stay and just drive home.

The beds are a good height for wheelchair users to transfer to and from.

Wheel chair accessible roll in shower could use a little more room. Wheelchair accessible rooms could have a Hoyer for transfer to make life easier.

Good location for exploring Philadelphia and its surroundings.

When we called to check in, the person we spoke to on the phone told us to hold for a moment and then forwarded our call to a "rewards" group that was adamant about trying to get our credit card number over the phone. It seemed like a scam, and the man we spoke to was incredibly pushy. Because of this, we won't stay at another Holiday Inn. We didn't ask for that and to be quite frank, it was ridiculous and inappropriate.
