Grote, goede bedden en alles uiterst schoon. De ruimte voor ontbijt heeft een goed uitzicht over de stad.

Quiet, end of road location. Clean with great shower and towel warmer. Evelyn, the host, was super sweet and a great source of information. Exceptional value at about a third of what the hotels with a restaurant and bar charge, so if that’s not needed you would be crazy to pass Hostal Buenavista up!

Tiny language barrier as my Spanish is poor, but Evelyn can get the message across and translation apps are always a solution.

Host was flexible with check in and communicated frequently. Hostess had good English which made communication go well.

We had a comfortable room (#3) with a great view of the city. This is a small hostal, very quiet and a short 15 minute walk to downtown. The room was cleaned and beds made every day around 11am. The owner Evelyn was very helpful to us. We were pleased with our stay.

Très joli, moderne et confortable petit bed & breakfast. L'hôtel est très bien entretenu et fait avec goût. Facile de se garer juste devant dans la rue. Quartier calme dans les hauteurs de Punta Arenas. Jolie vue mer depuis la terrasse. Petite cuisine pratique. Accueil chaleureux.

I was charged $15 for a little sandwich and one small coffee Poor communication with the host Apparently the sandwich was for another guest But no one indicated the sandwich was not for all the guest I would not go back

Aussicht war top aus unserem Zimmer, stets Top sauber und angenehm warm. Da wir etwas später kamen, war es etwas mühsam zu kommunizieren über die Hotels.com Seite, wann wir ankommen und ob wir einchecken können. Als wir dann da waren, klappte jedoch alles super. Uns wurde direkt aufgemacht als icj anrief. Frühstück hatten wir nicht dabei. Zentral ist es, man muss jedoch stets den Hügel hoch spazieren. Service war top

We enjoyed our stay at Hostal Buenavista. We had plenty of street parking for our two motorcycles. The room and hostel were clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast room is sunny with an amazing view over Punta Arenas and Strait of Magellan.

The room we had was small and tight with our luggage. It's outside of the main tourist area which depending on your preference could be good or bad. We prefer to be away from the center so we were fine with its location.

Room was comfortable and warm at night. Modern bathroom and no problem with hot water or anything else.

Refrigerator had a lock on it so not very welcoming for guests who want to put milk in the frig overnight for cereal for breakfast.

Good location (15-minute walk from downtown), facilities are good, the view is amazing. Friendly host!

This is a very small guesthouse in a very quiet area. The house is spotlessly clean as is the room and bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. Although the bathroom is small everything functioned and there is plenty of hot water. The owner is a very pleasant and helpful person and very welcoming.

It is quite a way from the centre of town up a hill overlooking the town. However if you don't mind using Uber then it's fine. The breakfast was dire.

I was surprised breakfast was not included. It was when booking, then it was not in the contract detail. It is a good hostel, kind attention but clearly overpriced. No idea what they mean by “design room”.

Nice comfy rooms

Very nice rooms and bathrooms with private access to your room and key to main entry. Sits atop a hill with a great view of the town below. Relatively short walk to several restaurants. Friendly staff.

Great communication! Tidy and clean, this hostel is well designed and efficient. Up on a ridge, the view from the deck is beautiful. Breakfast is simple and healthy and they make up a Togo bag for early tours. I would stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights in December 2023. Fantastic and friendly host who went above and beyond to work with our schedule. Breakfasts were good and varied. Room was spotless and very comfortable with plenty of space. View on the balcony was fantastic, we enjoyed that multiple times. Location is easy enough to walk to different parts of town, including the bus station. Out of the four places we stayed during a recent trip to both Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales, this was our favorite, possibly our favorite from the past year even. Highly recommended!

It was all great! Just a note that while it wasn't a problem for us, walking up the hill to the property could possibly be challenging for people with mobility issues.

I highly recommend! I’m travelling solo and felt safe, relaxed, warm & comfortable. The host was friendly, rooms modern & ultra clean, breakfast & coffee delicious! Bed was comfortable and amenities perfect. It is a little walk from the centre of town (10 min) which was perfect for me but up on a hill so maybe not great if you have mobility issues. I would stay here again! Thank you!

Nice hostal with only 4 rooms which makes it very quite. It has a nice view indeed (so the name „Buenavista“ is quite fitting). Good kitchen appliances which can be used by guests. Clean room and good private bathroom. Close to walk to the city center. When we had an early day trip, the host prepared us a small breakfast to go, which was nice. She also organized a taxi to the airport, which was a great help.

I received advice on where to eat and what to see, how to get there. I was kindly provided with a breakfast package if I left too early. Atmosphere of care for every guest!

The place is so clean. The breakfast area is beautiful. Our host was at the door to greet us when we arrived. She was very hospitable and helpful!! Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!!

Nice small hotel about 1K from bus station. Also close to Mirador Cerro De La Cruz. Double room is small but nicely decorated with amenities in good order. Continental breakfast served is also good with fresh fruits.

The host was really nice and helped us with a late check in and also to organise activities in Punta Arenas. Room really clean and comfy, good breakfast.

The location is up on a hill and a little out of city centre. But town is not that big so everything is easily walkable.

The bed was comfortable, bathroom was contemporary and clean , the place was well kept. It had a nice outdoor eating/sitting area but it was too cold and windy during our visit. Our hostess was very helpful in arranging a laundry service for our group and a ride to the airport. It was an enjoyable stay.

It had security monitors so it felt like we were constantly being watched. A minor observation but a modern necessity.

The room was modern, spotless, and fresh. Everything appeared recently remodeled. My room was significantly better than my friend's room at the Plaza Hotel near the center of town. The staff was amazingly helpful and even arranged transportation for me a couple of times. The kitchen area is quaint and clean and the back deck had a good view. An awesome place to stay!!!

Comfortable beds, spotless and modern bathroom. Flexibility of getting packed breakfast if you have to leave the hostal early in the morning.

Walkable to city centre (15 minutes) but the pedestrian walk down to the bus station is on a slope and a bit bumpy.

we stayed coming to Torres Del Paine and coming back from Torres Del Paine. Our host was very helpful and friendly. the location was great. away from the noise of down town but an easy walk to the bus station. there us a great view point just a few blocks away and a great view from the back deck. It was very clean with a modern European feel to it. There was a tiny pizzeria just two doors down. the pizza was delicious.

The hostess Evelyn is fantastic. Se is always at your service and solves any possible problems. She suggested great restaurants in Punta Arenas, directed us to currency exchange offices, suggested and booked a fantastic excursion on very favorable terms, booked a taxi to the airport. We had room No. 3 with a beautiful view of the city. The kitchen, where a good breakfast is served, is also a pleasant place to work or enjoy, and in front of it is a terrace where it is pleasant to drink coffee in sunny weather. Coffee or tea can be made at any time. The price is also very reasonable. Wi-fi is very good.

Hostal Buenavista is a great hotel, ran by a very helpful owner. The rooms are new, the location is quiet (slightly away from the centre of town, on top of a hill - great views!) and breakfast was very generous. Couldn't ask for anything else. Highly recommended
