Reviewed Sep 14, 2026We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Right from arriving at reception we were made to feel welcome. Our room on the fifth floor was very spacious. The location is great. Turn left and it's an easy 10 minutes walk to the lively old Town.
The only negative for me was having music inflicted on me while I was trying to eat breakfast. Silence is lovely in the morning

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026Great location. Lovely big rooms. Great that the junior suite had a twin option as not all of them do. Lovely big towels, comfortable robes. Staff were lovely. A particular shout out to Pedro in reception who was always ready with a welcome joke or smile or advice when we needed it.
If I had to be picky it’s a bit dark in the rooms. An option for a brighter overhead light would be good for getting ready. Also tea and coffee facilities in the room. Neither of those would turn me off staying again but would be good additions.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026De suite was voldoende groot, fijne badkamer en ruime seperate wc. Goed bed. Goed ontbijt met Nespresso koffiepads machines. Zeer aardige ontvangst bij de receptie en goede service bij het ontbijt.
In een suite verwacht je een espresso machine en een water koker voor thee, maar dat was helaas niet aanwezig. Verder is het hotel bijzonder zakelijk ingericht zonder iets van kunst. Zowel in de lobby, ontbijtzaal als in de kamer, bijna alles is grijs/zwart, geen schilderijen of beeld te bekennen. De minibar was compleet leeg. In de suite stond 1 flesje water, dat was het. Dit kan en moet echt beter voor dit geld.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026El hotel resultó ser bastante más mediocre de lo que esperábamos teniendo en cuenta su valoración general y el precio de la habitación. El principal problema es la **muy mala insonorización**. Da la sensación de estar durmiendo directamente en una calle muy transitada y no en una habitación de hotel. El ruido del exterior se escucha claramente y dificulta bastante el descanso. La habitación también es bastante básica en cuanto a equipamiento: **ni siquiera dispone de minibar**. Otro aspecto decepcionante fue la cama. Al hacer la reserva solicitamos **una cama doble**, pero nos encontramos con dos camas individuales simplemente juntas. La separación entre ellas se nota, por lo que dormir en pareja resulta bastante incómodo. El **desayuno es muy escaso** y, en mi opinión, no corresponde a lo que se espera de un desayuno continental. Ni siquiera hay una selección básica de verduras frescas, y tampoco ofrecen tortilla, huevos revueltos, huevos fritos u otra opción de huevos calientes. En general, considero que **la valoración del hotel está claramente sobreestimada**. Cuando el precio de la habitación está por encima de la media, uno espera un nivel de comodidad, equipamiento y desayuno considerablemente mejor. **No recomiendo este hotel si el precio de la habitación está por encima de la media.** Por ese precio, en Gijón se pueden encontrar opciones bastante más cómodas y con una mejor relación calidad-precio.

J'ai trouvé la décoration de la chambre et la peinture grise assez froides pour un hôtel (c'est subjectif). N'ayant pas bénéficié d'une promotion, j'ai payé très cher la nuitée et je considère que le rapport qualité-prix n'était vraiment pas bon.

La habitación en sí es bastante oscura y le falta iluminación. Las ventanas dan a un edificio residencial. No está claro cómo se sube la persiana que cubre la ventana; nosotros no conseguimos subirla. Al caer la tarde empezó a hacer frío en la habitación. Tampoco conseguimos poner el aire acondicionado en modo calefacción, ya que faltan instrucciones para utilizarlo.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026La ubicación es buena. Descansé que era lo que necesitaba en mi viaje, aunque si hubiera sido un colchón de fakir hubiera descansado igual, llevaba 36h sin dormir.
La decoración es demasiado oscura. Tuve que esperar 10 minutos y recorrer el hotel buscando a alguien en recepción. A las 14h no tenían aún preparada la habitación, es cierto que esperé poco, pero si esperas en recepción a que alguien aparezca y finalmente reclamas que alguien te atienda recorriendo tú el interior del hotel y luego sumas la otra espera a que te den la habitación...pues como que no es lo que el hotel intenta ser. Pedí habitación tranquila y me dieron la habitación en la primera planta (esa calle tiene mucho tránsito nocturno, restaurantes, bares de copas...). No percibí amabilidad en el personal sino más bien molestia por haberle ido a buscar para que me atendieran...la recepción de un hotel de la categoría que intenta ser el Moderne no debe estar nunca desatendida, menos a las 14h que es la hora que el mismo hotel fija para entrar a la habitación

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026This is a beautiful hotel, and the staff went out of their way to welcome us to the eclipse. While room prices were elevated due to demand, we did feel like we got great value from the hotel. It's stunningly beautiful, well designed and well maintained. The breakfast is delicious, the rooms are well equipped and everything was great.
The only thing we did not love was that the suite had the toilet and shower in separate rooms on opposite sides of the suite. It was a bit awkward. Also, like most hotels we stayed in in Spain, there are no USB or USB-C outlets, so bring an adapter.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Zeer vriendelijk personeel, zeer behulpzaam en goed in Engels. Elke dag flesje water en een tas, chocolade en een waterfles als welkomstcadeautje.
Voor 5 nachten heb ik € 470 per nacht betaald, dit is echt veel te duur. Je verwacht meer voor dit geld. Er was geen mini-bar op de kamer, geen koffiemachine of waterkoker, geen badslippers of badjas. Veel muggen op de kamer en veel overlast van spelende, rennende kinderen op de gangen en kamers, met deuren gooien, zeer gehorig. Voor deze prijs verwacht je gewoon meer en kun je een veel beter hotel vinden. Klopt gewoon niet.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026El hotel está bien ubicado, el servicio es muy bueno y la habitación está bastante cómoda y es bien oscura a la hora de dormir. Tiene muchas alternativas para ir a conocer sin necesidad de transporte.
Que no tiene estacionamiento, a la habitación le falta un poco de luz y la vista de nuestra ventana era a otro edificio familiar que estaba muy cerca, entonces, por privacidad no se podían abrir las cortinas y hubo algo de ruido en la madrugada proveniente de ese edificio.

This was very small and I imagine an issue no matter where you go in Gijón, but the AC did not seem to have humidity control. After a while things felt a bit damp. Lack of hotel parking was challenging in high season, but this is common for most city hotels.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026This boutique hotel is sleek, stylish, and professional. The front desk staff (Marco) was excellent. He was welcoming, efficient, and provided great recommendations for what to see and do in Gijón. Our room was large, and we enjoyed the dark decor and strong A/C because it made for a very cool and comfortable sleep. The location is great too - just a five minute walk from the old town!
While we loved the dark decor, it might not be for everyone. The rooms vary in size considerably, so choose your room carefully. It was also a bit expensive: wonderful, but perhaps a tad overpriced.

Всего за 20 евро доплаты нам дали отличный двухкомнатный номер! С прекрасным видом! Все было великолепно! Отличный душ, новая сантехника! Очень большая и удобная кровать! Отличный матрас! Все здорово!!!

No había cafetera de cápsulas o café soluble con hervidor de agua en la habitación, lo que es llamativo porque los hay ya en cualquier hotel de 4 estrellas. El inodoro estaba bastante distante de la zona de la cama y en la zona de lavabo y ducha no había taburete ni donde sentarse lo que lo hacía ciertamente incómodo.

Breakfast was amazing and it was lovely to sit in the bar of an evening, enjoy a relaxed environment and watch the world go by! We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again!

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026Lo más destacable es su ubicación céntrica, al lado del puerto deportivo y a un paso de zonas comerciales y de restaurantes. Excelente su personal, amable en todo momento. El baño de la habitación, excelente, y muy silenciosa a pesar de estar en una calle muy céntrica
Me sorprendió ver que no había un minibar en la habitación, algo inexplicable en un hotel de esta categoría (no sólo sirve para tener bebidas frescas, ya que un cliente puede necesitar medicamentos que deben estar refrigerados) o un pequeño servicio de café o té en la habitación. También he de señalar que tienen unos tickets de descuento para un parking público cercano, ya que el hotel no tiene aparcamiento propio, pero en dos de las ocasiones no funcionaron, por lo que tuve que pagar la tarifa completa.

Las habitaciones muy oscuras y al estar en el ala lateral no podías abrir cortinas pues te veían los vecinos incluso con el store bajado. Otra cosa que no nos ha gustado es que en la habitación no había nevera , en un hotel de 4 estrellas me parece un poco cutre.

The room that we get was on the 1st floor. We were said that all the rooms with double bed are only on this floor, which kind of strange… Apart from that room misses any kind of mini bar facilities or at least small fridge.

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026Las habitaciones son amplias y con camas muy cómodas. Está todo muy limpio y con una decoración muy agradable. El edificio parece de estilo art Deco, es fantástico. Está muy bien situado, muy cerca del centro y a pocos minutos de la playa de San Lorenzo.
Quizás un poco más de luz no vendría mal. Es elegante y confortable pero el baño por ejemplo, al tener paredes tan oscuras, se comen la poca luz que hay y se ve muy poco. El desayuno me pareció algo escaso y sin cocina (No había huevos, bacon o similar).

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Het is een zeer mooi hotel vlak bij de Atlantische kust. Het is erg modern en we hadden een ruime kamer. De kamers zijn zeer ruim ingericht. Het ontbijt is goed. Er is veel keuze in de vorm van een buffet. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Het hotel ligt aan de rand van het centrum. Het is vlakbij één van de twee stranden in Gijón.
Er zijn geen minpunten op te noemen, alleen een koffiezet in de kamer zou een meerwaarde zijn.

Faltou um frigobar no quarto e lenço de papel. Poderia ter um pouco mais de iluminação no teto (spots).
