Very aesthetic and relaxing

Room was very comfy, clean.

The bungalow rooms are very rustic. Old bathrooms w old tile but clean. Linens were nice as were bed firmness. Air conditioner just barely enough to keep room tolerable. Poor lighting unless you open all the wooden shades but not well lit at night. Great beachfront location convenient to walk to town and stores.

Me pusieron problema al entrar porqe no reciben tarjeta de credito AMEX. Por otra parte en ningun lugar dicen que hay que dejar un deposito de 50 dolares con tarjeta para consumos de minibar, con reintegro supuestamente que al dia de hoy no han hecho.

Fantastic hotel at the beach, well located at walking distance from the center (10 min walk along shoreline). We booked the very spacious garden bungalow equipped with a powerful rainshower, AC, ceiling fans and beds with mosquito nets. Warm welcoming during check-in. Amazing gym in the middle of the garden. Breakfast with sea-view (only the orange juice was dissapointing, the rest of the food was splendid). After check-out we were still allowed to use the beachbeds and the shower at the reception. Highly recommended!

Great location. Staff is super friendly. Didn’t like the bar style swinging doors separating room from bathroom. They are in your way all the time.

La situation de l hébergement est parfaite, calme face à la mer, personnel à l écoute et agréable. Le moins est le petit déjeuner, pas varié, pas de jus de fruit frais, et le restaurant qui ferme à 18h .

Me pidieron hacer un depósito por $2000 al check in, al hacer mi check out no me regresaron ese depósito, me dijeron que ya habían cancelado el pago y que mi banco me lo regresaría días después, situación que no ha sucedido ya que ellos no han cancelado ningún cargo, todo lo contrario me cobraron los $2000 más $900 de un consumo que realizamos

Superbe hôtel intime en bord de mer. Idéalement situé en face de la plus belle partie de la plage. Très bonne restauration. Climatisation peu performante en raison du type de chambre, mais ça vaut le coup pour le dépaysement :-) On reviendra !

Nice hidden gem! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was a nice option right in the beach. The rooms look better in person. The area is fantastic and short distance from town where there are a ton of great bars and restaurants. Loved this trip.

We had the best time at Blue Holbox Hotel. Nothing could have been better. All was ideal.

We had a 7 night stay here (first time in Holbox) and the Superior beach front, second floor has a stunning view of the ocean and grounds. Beautiful grounds with a rustic vibe. The room was spacious and had a great shower and ample closets. Bed was comfortable but linens were a bit scratchy. Definitely rustic and we loved it—but you need to be okay with a glamping experience. Walls are really thin and you can hear the ocean waves (yes!) birds and the loud golf carts (less great) through the walls. The rooms are special and the hammocks and beach loungers are comfy and clean. Restaurant is fine but nothing special. Breakfast was ample and fine. We had lunch and dinner here once, I wouldn’t recommend unless in a pinch. The drinks are great and they will deliver yo the beach for you. We had a leak under the sink which was tended to but it leaked the entire stay. I kind of expect this in Mexico near the beach as I’ve had the experience in the past at other hotels. Front staff is helpful and reserved transfers to and from airport. I would definitely come back to the property.

This beach front hut was exactly what we were looking for. It is rustic but beautiful and excellent view from your bed. We loved housekeeping, so kind and helpful, absolutely amazing. The front desk always replied yo my messages right away and were friendly. The restaurant staff was amazing, worked extremely hard, excellent cold drinks and great fiah tacos

Nice hotel with a pretty beach in front. It’s in a quieter area away from town but still a pleasant walk to get back. Second time staying here and we’ll be back again.

Hicimos hace meses la reserva, en la web de hoteles figuraba el pago hecho. cuando llegamos al hotel no estaba acreditado el pago. Nos dieron la posibilidad de retirarnos sin costo alguno, ya que la habitacion (no nos dejaron entrar, solo verla desde afuera) y el complejo no era lo que esperabamos. Al dia siguiente nos cargaron el pago a la tarjeta sin habernos alojado. Hicimos el reclamo en el Hotel, y en la web de Hoteles.com, sin ningun tipo de respuesta. Hace 10 años que alquilamos continuamente con Hoteles.com, nunca nos paso algo asi. Un desastre total.

The location of the property is great. Away from the hustle and bustle of Holbox town it’s nice and quiet and at the bottom of the resort is the lovely hotel restaurant and sand area and then the beach which is lovely and clean. Lovely lounge beds and the staff will bring you cocktails by the beach or food if you like. The restaurant was really convenient as the main town is a good 20 minute walk away, not always possible with a toddler. The pool is a really nice size and covered in enough shade and great for children. Our own bungalow was beautiful and had good mosquito nets. The bathroom is basic but has lovely charm. We had our own balcony to our bungalow with hammock which we could relax on in the evening. The staff were really lovely and friendly at both the restaurant and front desk.

Best spot on the island!

My husband and I had a great time at Blue Holbox. A horrible hurricane hit the island two days before we arrived. The staff did an extraordinary job to make the stay amazing. The resort is right across the road from the beach. The food and staff were awesome. We were walking distance from downtown.

This stay was beyond our wildest dreams!!! Felt like we were in a giant tree house!! Waking up to the sound of birds is awesome! Breakfast buffet was fabulous and a great restaurant with amazing drinks!!

This is a great place to stay. The beach here is much cleaner than the areas towards town with lots of seaweed. Staff is great. I will definitely stay here again

The room was dark and mosquito net had so many holes might as well not have one. When they charged me for the room they charged 72 dollars extra because of the exchange rate. I travel a lot and use expedia and this has never happened to me. They refuse to refund me and claimed it was their policy. They said I should discuss this with expedia. Food was just ok and drinks weren’t good either. I will never stay here again.

Location of the beachfront bungalow is the positive part! Service is terrible - per whats app! Overall service super limited and not according to the high cost! Breakfast choice very limited and staff unfriendly. Overall not worth the cost!!!

Property nice, but LOUD. Dirt road between lodging and beach full of golf carts and people all hours. Construction of cabins left lots of gaps for noise and wind to permeate. Food service was a struggle. Breakfast Buffet was never loaded, folks complaining - best option to order eggs-omelette as desired. Fried fish snack revealed bones that friend nearly choked on. All in, a nice property, close to town. First time visit, so did not know any better. Would look for property on the beach next time

Wonderful experience all around-the spacious room overlooked the ocean and had a lovely balcony - the breakfast was included and was a delicious buffet. The staff was so friendly and helpful with our return transportation - it was a great trip to Holbox made all the better by a perfect hotel.

Hotel charmant tres bien place probablement un des meilleurs emplacements , nous étions dans un bungalow ancien Confort , et propre , Petit dej bon que à partir de 8h , impossible d avoir un café avant 8h ni au restaurant ni dans les chambres pas d équipement , jolie piscine pas très équipée , restaurant correct , travaux Bruyants pdt notre séjour , non indiqués lors de la resa. Nous avons emprunté des vélos une heure factures 50 usd , non précisé qu il n était pas free Petite embrouille pour 10 usd au moment du check out !!!!! Ns sommes restés 8 jrs , moyen Il y a un jeune serveur parfait et adorable !

We stayed in the older, garden view section. The accomodations are dated but nice bungalow style. Staff, especially Gustavo at the front desk, were very responsive to issues. Charlie, Roy and Damien, the waiters at the bar/restaurant, were awesome - engaging and fun. We enjoyed our stay very much and the location was awesome.

The reception staff has absolutely no idea what customer service is about. For starters, they did not help to have the reservation charge split into two different credit cards as requested, they gave all sort of excuses to not do it and even had an attitude when I complained about it. Neither the room's door lock nor the safety box worked, they were broken and had to be replaced once I noticed when I tried to use them. The bed sheets and bathroom towels had stains, and the mosquito protectors had holes. We had to leave the hotel after 2 nights even thought we had planned to stay 7 nights. The front desk staff would not even attempt to do a partial refund for the nights that were left free. Do NOT stay in this hotel, it does not feel at all like 4 stars, more like 3 and with very bad service.

A short walk to great restaurants. The beach on the other side of the small sandy road is stunning. The pool could use a little clean up from the sand that’s accumulated. Overall, I’d stay there again.

Holbox is an amazing place, the hotel is in a great location, just by the beach. However rooms are not very comfortable, it's quite basic for the price paid. Also, I felt the reception was looking for any opportunity to take advantages of us ...like I booked a taxi 4hours before my departure and he said he could order it 10min before ( island very small), I finally found one myself and ask him to cancel the one he was going to call like 1hour before, he was trying to make me pay for it while he said he would order it 10 min before...there were few small things like this, that doesn't give you a great impression of the staff/ hotel. He also tried to charge me for the safe in the room..

Blue Holbox is one of the island's hidden gems. The hotel is a perfect paradise escape with the most wonderful staff. It is the perfect balance between high quality and a casual relaxed feeling.

This place was so wonderful to stay at and the staff was beyond helpful with their arrangements, promises, service, and friendliness. The bungalows are adorable though the hot water water was lukewarm at best. Toilets dont flush well at all however, its island life. The staff arranged our transit from Cancun to the hotel and back and helped make contact with an amazing Doctor that provided aid with Covid Testing as well. The beaches were clean and beautiful and the location provides a really perfect beach setting fot he the island. STAFF. A

What a disappointment! The price of this "hotel", more like a motel, was equal to a 5 star resort in Mexico, but it was so far away from that! First, when I was just booking it, I called the property with a question. A Spanish speaking woman picked up the phone, but because she could understand me, she simply hung up. I called second time, third time, but every time, someone was dropping the call. That should have beena red flag from the starts. When we arrived , it was a cold welcome from a front desk girl. The morning breakfast was strangely hostile. The guy serving us was so angry, unpleasant and irritated, he mixed my order, then finally brought it to us. Never apologized. The next morning it happened again! But this time he started ARGUING with me that I was the one who didn't know what I ordered. Well, coming from a person, who keeps doing it two days in a row! When I told him that his attitude is very unpleasant and customer service is the reason why I would never come back to this hotel or recommend it, i asked for his name, and he said it was Carlos. He also never had a courtesy to apologize for messing up or ruining my breakfast time. At the front desk I asked about him and what his name was, this time it was Christian! I was very confused, because it seemed like one of them was lying. But if you are staying at this property, you'll see a tall skinny arrogant dude in a fedora hat, who obviously doesn't give a damn, you'll know who I'm talking about!

Hotel beach is perfectly located and was never crowded. A lot of sunbeds etc.

Ideal location, far enough from the town that it is not in the hustle and bustle but close enough that you can easily walk there. Bungalows are a great asset for privacy and for creating an intimate setting as there are only 20 of them. The pool is small so get there early. The grounds are immaculately kept. Breakfast is a treat, the view from the restaurant is dreamy and makes up for the relaxed service. Staff is very welcoming and receptive to any requests. The gym is also in a bungalow open on all sides and is well equipped. Peculiarly, there are no bedside lights and lighting in general should be improved in the bungalows. It’s a great place to stay in Holbox.

The hotel is nice but very expensive for what it offers. The girl at the reception was a little bit rude.

Amazing location with a lot of potential. Our 2 night stay was almost perfect. The room had a foul smell the entire time. Housekeeping were spraying it down with air fresheners as we walked in. 20 minutes later we figured out why. The foul smell began overpowering the masking odors of the air fresher, and never went away. Air conditioner (which was right over the master bed headboard) dripped on the bed just enough to awake you from a slumber. Those two issues that completely took away from the ambiance and location of the hotel. On top of this, We stayed in #14, which was directly next to a busy back road. Saturday night, golf carts and 4-wheeleres screamed by until 3AM. That coupled with the odor and the leaking A/C made for a rather unpleasant experience. Upon checking out I was informed that I had to pay an additional occupancy fee for our 15 year-old daughter. I showed the front desk manager that the reservation was made through Hotles.com and I selected her as an additional guest. The manager told me that I had to contact Hotels.com for a refund. This made no sense since I had to pay the hotel directly. After several attempts to charge me an additional $56(US) they conceded to the fact that there are no additional charges levied when booked through Hotels.com. In summary: Holbox is amazing. The beach is excellent. We would definitely return and recommend the island. Just not this hotel. It's really too bad. The rest of the staff were friendly and aimed to please.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Most spoke enough English to communicate sufficiently. Hotel is on the more beautiful side of the island I thought. Beach was amazing. Property was lovely and clean. We will be back. Would definitely recommend. Only downside is very little water pressure and no hot water. But that is the case everywhere on the island I believe.

The resort was quiet and the staff were extremely attentive. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. This is our new go to spot!

I loved the individual huts, you're not in a massive hotel with hallways, it's great to have your own home. Beds are extremely comfy, I wanted to steal their mattress and take it home. Absolutely wonderful staff! Loved them all. Blue Holbox had only been open a few weeks when we stayed so there are a few improvements that should be made. Handles to get in and out of the pool, small broom in each room to be able to sweep the fine sand that finds its way in between cleanings. Also some palapas directly on the beach for shade would be nice. Again, small things. All in all, fabulous place.

The cabins were neat. Some of the lights didnt work. It was clean and the grounds were pretty well kept. The staff were friendly enough. I couldnt get a receipt becayse the machine wasnt working.
