Lovely cabin in a most beautiful scenic setting, efficient wood burner kept us toasty , the outdoor hot tub in the rain was a fab experience This was a place of calm, back to nature experience…if you want to switch off and reconnect with your self, this is the place to go to.

The 3km access Road was quite bumpy … but even that was part of the appeal of this wonderful experience

From the first hello to the last goodbye, we were greeted by friendly dogs and warm smile. The hosts went above and beyond helping us book a last minute volcano hike! The room and the view is expectional, highly recommend.

El buen servicio, la paz del lugar y la vista maravillosa.

El lugar es especial, muy tranquilo y tiene una vista privilegiada al volcán y al lago Villarrica. Un segundo aspecto destacado es que la cabaña está dispuesta para apreciar de la mejor manera el paisaje y a su vez está muy bien equipada en su interior (buena ducha, buena cama, buen baño). La guinda de la torta de las instalaciones es la tinaja que la mantienen caliente permanentemente y, además, cuenta con una ducha al aire libre, con agua caliente, y también con vista al volcán y al lago. Otro aspecto a destacar es que en el entorno de la parcela hay árboles nativos, huertos, animalitos domésticos que circulan libremente y que no afectan la estadía de los pasajeros. Es de destacar que en cuanto a las comidas, el desayuno es bueno y se puede reservar cena, que fue lo que nosotros hicimos. Los anfitriones nos sorprendieron con platos originales y sabrosos. Finalmente hay una piscina muy bien mantenida y que también tiene vistas al volcán y el lago. Por último, se agradece la cordialidad y amabilidad de los anfitriones.

Alles in Ordnung

Hosts were super welcoming and helpful, the views spectacular and cats, dogs and hens delightful. Meals were some of the best we have had during three weeks in Chile. Beds comfortable, peaceful all around

Road to property not paved, so apart from shaken constantly, inhaling dust at great volume, even through air conditioning. Needed a better car! Punctures a possibility.

Steffi und Much sind außergewöhnlich herzliche und nette Gastgeber, bei denen wir uns superwohl gefühlt haben. Die Tips und Karten von Much haben uns an wunderschöne, tolle Orte geführt, die wir sonst nicht entdeckt hätten. Die Lage der Lodge ist einmalig, und die Sicht auf den Vulkan Villarrica unbezahlbar toll. Frühstück war klasse, gesund, und die gelegentlichen Abendessen wie bei Freunden. Falls Ihr das hier lest: Danke nochmals, Ihr seid toll, und wir denken oft an Euch und Euren Ort! C. + P.

La vista y el entorno te transportan a un lugar soñado, lleno de paz, naturaleza impresionante y calidez que entregan sus sueños. El volcán y el lago es lo primero que ves al despertar y al anochecer mientras tomas un baño en la tinaja.de. Tu cabaña. Está lo suficientemente alejada de la ciudad para promover descanso y relajación pero a 20 min de Villarrica y de todo el atractivo turístico de la zona. La atención directa de sus dueños que te acogen como familia y te hacen sentir como en casa, pero respetando tus espacios de privacidad es la combinación perfecta : desayunos y cenas hechas en casa que nada tienen que envidiar a mejor restorán que hayas conocido y preparados con ingredientes de su propia huerta. Todo muy sano y delicioso. Quiero agradecer también especialmente a Leo por su hermoso trabajo con las pulseras que el mismo diseña y hace según lo que le pidas.. Gracias Steffi y Magui. Nos veremos muy pronto!!!

Beautiful secluded space with a familiar feeling and great hosts, Michael and Steffi, who spare no efforts to provide all the relevant info and practical tips to help their guests making the most of their time in the Lake Region in Chile. The private spa suites are cozy, with sauna and a mesmerising view to the Villarrica Volcano. Staying there was truly an unforgettable experience.

Not having stayed more days!

I loved the owners and their hospitality! It feels like you are staying with family! The property is gorgeous and very relaxing. You can see beautiful birds from your deck and also the gorgeous volcano.

Nothing it was Perfecto!

The lodges were greatly done, they were stylish, eco friendly, comfortable and cozy. The facilities there including the hot tub, outdoor shower, etc made it all the more special! I also loved the set up close to the house so we could pop in if we needed anything which was never a bother!

Nothing at all - it was a great experience

Te reciben Much y Steffi, una pareja de alemanes, con mucha amabilidad y buena disposición. Tienen una tinaja y ofrecen cena casera. El desayuno está incluido y es muy rico. La cabaña cuenta con una estufa a pellet y una vista preciosa.

No sabíamos que la cena tenía costo. Es de 25000 pesos chilenos. La cabaña no logra mantenerse caliente (hacia mucho frío) cuando la estufa no estaba prendida. El agua de la ducha no sale muy caliente (con el frío esto hubiera sido más agradable de tener). Por la noche se escucharon ladridos.

Quiet country setting with wonderful views across the lake to the volcano

Wonderful view, exceptionally helpful and friendly hosts with good English language. Much holiday-enhancing information and hand-drawn maps have proved invaluable. They provided a delicious home-cooked meal and wine on arrival and prepped our own hot tub located on terrace so had great views of stars and sunset. Rooms very comfortable with the additional bonus of Mt Villarricci in full view (weather-dependent) on opening curtains in morning.

Barking dogs. Quite an out-of-way location but this contributes to its charm.

Spectacular views of volcano, amazing cabins, but best were the hosts who were very helpful in pointing us to the nearby national parks and walks that we wanted to do, to the extent of kindly giving us very helpful handwritten maps.

A remote place to switch off or to relax after visiting the sights in the surrounding area (of which there are many). The owner Michael and Stefanie escaped crowded Europe and created their own little paradise in perfect peace in nature, to share it with their visitors, who have their privacy but feel like visiting old friends in their home. Their welcoming hospitality goes from heartily prepared breakfasts and - in case you choose for - delicious dinners with healthy ingredients from their garden over millions of tips and advises for discovering the area and to preparing the hot tub for your return in the evening. They pay attention to every little detail in order to give you the perfect holiday experience. We will certainly remember the days at them as one of the most beautiful hosting experiences and never forget the perfect peace and quiet while sitting in the hot tub in the evenings under the Milky Way with the red glowing top of volcano Villarrica. I loved my experience at Karibuni Lodge. The hosts are special people who really care about their guests. Much is an amazing chef, most of the food is from their garden, the eggs from their hens etc. The view over lake and volcano Villarrica is stunning, the hot tub at sunset fantastic.Steffie und Much even arranged my excursions. I highly recommended

Nothing really, I was very happy there

Sensational place and amazingly friendly people. We felt like family on Christmas Day and throughout our stay. The owner of the accommodation prepares delicious healthy dinners. It's amazing to sit in a hot tub under the stars and watch the Villarica volcano do its little harmless eruptions.

Nothing. Everything was the best.

The view over the lake is fantastic. The cabanas have a nice interior design, including a good-sized shower and a sauna, as well as a personal tinaja outside. It is very quiet at night, and the amount of stars on a clear night is amazing. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Michael and Stefanie are some of the most amazing people we've ever had the pleasure to meet. The location is like a piece of heaven on earth. Their hospitality knows no limits. They were kind enough to even research and execute exquisite vegan dishes for my girlfriend. Their attention to detail paired with their incredible conversation and company made this trip an unforgettable one. I cannot recommend this place enough. It exceeded all expectations and left us wanting to stay at Karibuni lodge forever. We even extended our stay there simply because we couldn't get enough of this heavenly part of Chile. I will definitely come back one day, and hope everyone gets a chance to experience this magical place.

Everything about the location, the views of the lake and villarrica volcano, the most clean comfortable bed, amazing home grown gourmet meals, hot tub and big bathroom. Worth every penny and the hosts and owners were amazing human beings. Romantic for a couples getaway

Loved everything

Great place! Owners are really helpful and knowledgeable about the area - they can give you great tips on how to enjoy your stay! Breakfasts are really delicious too! This is also great value for money - you might spent a bit less but here you get a full newly built cottage with a hot tub, I wouldn't miss it 😉

View, beds, hosts, food absolutely everything!! These hosts are the best. They know and love what they do and it’s felt from the first moment of arrival. Michael drew maps to help guide us to our destination’s. The food is plentiful and very healthy as well as tasty. Bed was best we had in our two months in South America. Volcano glowing at night with the stars and hot tub was always a wonderful end to the day. Best view in the area.

You will need a car to get there, it’s on a dirt road. Not an issue in Chile

Karibuni surpassed our expectations considerably! Expecting basic cabins, we were chuffed to discover a spacious suite in the guise of a cabin. The view from the picture window is a perfect symbol of the tranquility and beauty of the lodging. If you wish to spend your time watching movies or in Pucon town centre day after day, then this isn't the right accommodation for you. If you wish to relax in serenity, read, explore, walk and enjoy private access to the lake and utter peace, then this is very much the place for you! My Husband climbed the local volcano and was delighted to relax in our private hot tub that same evening. We were inspired by the owners who moved from Europe to set up a 3 cabin place in Chile along with organic kitchen garden. Due to the deliberate low occupancy, there is a personalised approach to serving breakfast and, if you chose it, dinner using fresh ingredients and made with love. Our best evenings in the Lake District were spent with our warm, intelligent and interesting hosts and fellow guests. Typically, we are not very sociable on holiday but joining on certain nights felt natural. This is a special place with a great story and incredible views!
