Hotel Sarathi

The room was good, food was mediocre , overall clean and spacious.

Before arriving, I called the hotel and specifically confirmed that my Deluxe Double Room with Balcony was ready on the 6th floor with a double bed. The staff confirmed this two hours before check-in, and knew we were already on our way. Upon arrival, however, we were taken directly to a room on the 2nd floor without any explanation. Only when I questioned it did the staff inform us that the confirmed room was no longer available and that they were assigning us a "Junior Suite" instead, presenting it as an upgrade with two balconies and additional sleeping arrangements. The room was clearly not an upgrade. It had outdated furniture, a poor layout, and looked nothing like the photos on Booking.com. One small room contained a single bed, another contained a double bed, and both balconies faced only the parking area. For a room costing nearly NPR 9,000, the quality was extremely disappointing. After comparing the room with the listing photos, I confirmed that it was completely different from what I had booked. When my partner asked whether the hotel could provide the room we had reserved or if we should leave, the staff finally stopped trying to justify the room and started making calls. We were then taken to a different building and shown another room on the 3rd floor. While it was closer to what we had booked, it still did not fully match the advertised photos. The room had two single beds instead of the requested double bed, and the advertised mountain-view features were missing. Only after further discussion did the staff agree to improve the bed arrangement. What disappointed me most was the way the situation was handled. The hotel repeatedly confirmed my room before arrival, then attempted to place us in a much inferior room while presenting it as an upgrade.

We stayed at Hotel Sarathi for over a week while enjoying day hikes in the surrounding area. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and always willing to help with any request, which made our stay especially pleasant. Our room was comfortable and featured a balcony with a lovely view. The restaurant offered both breakfast and dinner with a good variety of options, which we really appreciated. We would happily recommend this hotel to others and hope that many more people will find and enjoy it as much as we did.

Nous n'avons pas pu accéder au bar extérieur, privatisé à cause d'un mariage, dommage !

Lovely big room, friendly, helpful and attentive staff, and the view from both the room and terrace is amazing! Good location for hiking and walking into Dhulikhel old town. Food was very good too (even the Western menu items) and craft beer on tap. What’s not to love.

The pool could do with being heated in the winter months and the jacuzzi was also out of operation due to technical issues when we stayed.

I loved everything especially that I was given the option to have my breakfast in my room which was truly amazing not to mention that I could do this whilst enjoying the awesome Himalayan range views. Truly magical

Not many things to do in the area except the thousand steps and we'll it was too cold to.use the pool. But the staff was amazing and offered to show me around the little village

This place is incredible. If you’re coming to Dhulikhel for a night out, you should definitely stay here but make sure you book a room in the Mountain Wings building. The rooms in the other blocks are quite small. From Mountain Wings, you get a stunning mountain view, and there’s a cozy rooftop bar where you can enjoy drinks with an amazing vibe

The Deluxe rooms are quite small and feel more like a bus-park lodge

great location - magnificent views ( when the fog cleared ) spa treatments were very enjoyable restaurant had a great buffet but also good al-cart menu Local town is a 15 min walk

The property is fantastic. Large gardens and rooms with nice views of the eastern ranges. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. Dinners made by the restaurant were delicious.

One of the best hotels in Dhulikhel and totally affordable. The food is the best in Kathmandu hotel and reasonably priced.

Hard to get a car from inDrive as it is remotely away.

Very good location with clean and comfortable rooms. We stayed in the new building where rooms are bigger and with a balcony. Amazing view with a clean pool. Staff and food are also good

It was clean, everyone was exceptionally friendly and we had a very relaxing city escape. The kids liked the pool, which was also spotless.

We went there to celebrate our anniversary. We liked that all the staffs were so welcoming and kind. We especially liked the restaurant and the staff there because he recommended dishes and also suggested what might go well with it. Food was great and the ambience was top notch.

Food quality, service and hygiene were not up to par. There are better nearby options elsewhere like dhulikhel lodge resort.

I have the worst experience in terms of service and staff behaviour. The night security was so rude. The food was pathetic and I ended up getting diarrhea.

The recently constructed bathroom showed signs of poor maintenance. Additionally, ongoing construction work created disruptive noise that began early in the morning. Moreover, a discovery was made of hair found on food.
