Utrolig hyggelig vertskap som gjorde alt for at vi skulle trives. Oppgraderte til større plass uten ekstra kostnad.

Wat een leuke opzet. Een boerderij omgetoverd tot een klein dorp waar allemaal verschillende huizen en schuren tot hotelkamers zijn verbouwd.

Herzliche Begrüssung durch Ligia! Aussergewöhnlicher Frühstücksraum und reichhaltiges Frühstück stilvoll serviert 😋 Die Farm liegt ausserhalb der Ortschaft, das Zentrum war aber zu Fuss gut erreichbar.

Het landelijke karakter. Het zijn allemaal verschillende type verblijven. Zeer uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt (allemaal tegelijk om 9 uur). Het is 'anders' maar daardoor juist ook heel leuk. Ligging is goed (op loopafstand van centrum).

Balkon van ons appartement was klein.. Maar je kon zonder probleem gebruik maken van de grote tuin met zit en ligstoelen.

Πρόκειται για το ομορφότερο κατάλυμα που έχουμε μείνει ποτέ!! Ένας παραδεισένιος τόπος για να χαλαρώσεις και να έρθεις πιο κοντά στη φύση. Μόνο όμορφα σχόλια μπορώ να κάνω γι αυτό το μέρος…τα ξύλινα σπιτάκια μέσα σ´ ένα καταπράσινο τοπίο,τα επιβλητικά εντυπωσιακά δέντρα, τα χρώματα των λουλουδιών ,η διακόσμηση με τα ρουστίκ έπιπλα που σε παρέπεμπε σε Far West ,τα άλογα …Όλα ήταν απλά μοναδικά!!! Βέβαια ,το μέρος αυτό έχει και κάτι άλλο μοναδικό …μια οικοδέσποινα που μας αγκάλιασε και μας καλοδέχτηκε ,μας φρόντισε σαν να ήμασταν δικοί της άνθρωποι!!!! Εγώ και η οικογένειά μου της ευχόμαστε από καρδιάς να είναι πάντα καλά και να συνεχίσει να δίνει αγάπη, καλοσύνη και χαμόγελα σε αυτούς που επισκέπτονται αυτόν τον τόπο!!! Ευχαριστούμε για όλα!!!!

Wohnen wie im Freilichtmuseum, aber mit dem Komfort des 21. Jahrhunderts. Die Apartments der Hesla Farm sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und bieten entschleunigte Ferien. Gastgeberin Ligia umhegt ihre Gäste von früh bis spät. Das gesamte Gelände ist mit viel Liebe bewirtschaftet und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Man mag nicht einmal unter Tags weg.

Very charming place. Wonderful breakfast in the open. The host was very welcoming and friendly. It is a good place to bring children.

Unieke locatie, alles met smaak en liefde ingericht. Ook het ontbijt werd met veel zorg en aandacht gemaakt. Een hele belevenis om hier 2 nachten te zijn.

Personalet (Ligia) var en fantastisk vert. Følte oss ivaretatt og møtt på alle måter. Utrolig koselig plass med sjarm som er verdt ett besøk!

Het lijkt wel ‘n Noors openluchtmuseum. Geweldig mooie accommodaties, en uiterst vriendelijke gastvrouw. Uitstekend ontbijtbuffet.

Fantastisk stemning på gården med kombinasjon av dyr gamle hus med modern preg. En hjertegod vertinne!

Stedet er sjarmerende og nostalgisk 🤩 Flotte stabbur med overnattings muligheter. Perfekt beliggenhet i forhold til sentrum.

Beautiful ground floor apartment, huge, 2 bedrooms, functional kitchen, nicely decorated, clean, free parking, good breakfast, beautiful location. Potentially a perfect option in summer, but off season checking in comes with a lot of hassle and stress. Host should communicate details about check in before arrival or at least be available by phone for the process. I'm still giving it a big score because besides this, everything elese was perfect.

Although we announced our arrival time and communicated with the host on booking.com, there was absolutely no one at the Farm and the host did not respond to phone calls, including those from booking costumer care. Desperately, we just tried entering all rooms (they were unlocked) until we found the apartment that was similar to the photos and just checked ourselves in (booking was paid in advance). There was another couple that waited 1 h without being able to contact the host and they just left very angry. And later there were other tourists that could not get ahold of her and we were the ones that helped them check in. It was the most unusual check in. To be totally onest, she did contact us eventually, but that was 1 h after we arrived and were already in our room. It was a stressful experience after a whole day of traveling. I don't mind self check in, but please provide info beforehand if you're not going to be at the location and don't turn your phone off when expecting guests. Also, communication was difficult because the host doesn't speak English very well.

Sehr herzliche Bewirtung, herausragend gutes Frühstück. Die Häuser sind außergewöhnlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Gute Matratzen, die Betten sind aber ggf für sehr große Menschen etwas kurz. Moderne Klimaanlage/Wärmepumpe und schnelles 5GHz WLAN trotz Museum Ambiente.

Auf der Landstraße neben der Hesla Farm ist auch nachts mehr Verkehr als man vielleicht erwartet. Auf dem Gelände und in den Häusern hört man aber nicht übermäßig viel davon.

De enorme gastvrijheid en het werkelijk fantastische ontbijt gemaakt door de gastvrouw zelf! De Noorse authenticiteit is heel bijzonder om te zien in dit prachtige landschap.

A most amazing place to stay. Our farm cottage was about 400 years old, but nicely renovated without removing it's character. Breakfast was great

Var på besøk hos familie, trengte overnatting

Beautifully converted old tradition farm house. Clean, warm and good kitchen and bathroom. However, when I booked it, I thought the breakfast is included, but there was an automatic message came in straight away ask if I need breakfast. I sent multiple messages during 2 weeks time with no answer at all. At the time we get there, we were told breakfast is not included, it will be 400NOK per person.

Schöne Farm mit verschiedenen Tieren zu bestaunen. Sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeberin und sehr liebe alt-moderne Häuser/Apartments, mit top ausgestatteten Küche (nur ein Küchentuch hat gefehlt) und Bad. Bei der Ankunft war alles liebevoll mit frischen Blumen dekoriert und wir haben einen sehr guten Willkommenscocktail erhalten.

Vi hadde et veldig fint opphold. Ble tatt godt imot og fikk en leilighet som passet oss ypperlig. Det var en veldig usjenert uteplass med utsyn til to beitende ponnier. Stort og fint og alle mulige hjelpemidler. Her måtte man trives. Og de ansatte var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Absolutt et sted å anbefale. Da vi hadde vært tilstede i en vielse i kirken var dette et ypperlig sted å slappe av noen dager etterpå før hjemreise. Må anbefales noe helt annet enn et vanlig overnattingsted.

It is a unique experience, expect a warm welcome. These are the nicest owners I’ve met travelling, they were so kind to me and my son. Absolutely charming place.

There is absolutely nothing I didn’t like.

This property was very close to the town of Gol and it was a very convenient ride to get up to the farm via Google maps. The room spacious because we got our on little house with a dining area, living area, kitchen and bedroom, and a cot was provided for the baby. There was sufficient kitchenware and induction hob to cook simple pasta and boil water, make tea and coffee. Also there was a fridge and freezer. The breakfast was amazingly prepared with great hospitality, our favorite item was the freshly made bread with butter and jam. Lots of space in the property to walk around

Flott nostalgisk sted i gangavstand fra sentrum. Gode senger og alt en trenger av kjøkkenutstyr for et kort opphold.

Accommodation was a beautiful old hut in a country setting. Quaint and cosy. Staff were very friendly and would do anything to help. We were given a welcome snack and breakfast was great. We were driven down to the train station at the end of our stay.

Stairs were steep and narrow but we had the option of moving to another hut and we chose this one. Low ceilings meant bumped heads do we had to be careful.

Everything! Host was fantastic! The place was adorable historic and plenty of antique things everywhere. Breakfast was to die for. Just loved everything !!!!!

A perfect stay at this quaint farm with charming historical buildings. The breakfast, homemade with fresh produce from the farm, was outstanding, and the hostess, Ligia, was wonderful.

Historic buildings and furnishings, creative decorating and meal presentation, charming hostess. Walkable distance to town center. Gol is a lovely town. Nice to be able to do laundry.

We were totally happy with our rustic accommodation. Staying on an old farm was exactly what we expected and hoped for.

Wat een leuke oude huisjes, heel authentiek. Leuke vriendelijke ontvangst. Bed had een beetje een kuil. Een lekkere hamburger gegeten. Helaas vonden we het gouden ei niet (eieren zoeken ivm Pasen). Bedankt voor deze leuke ervaring!

For en fantastisk opplevelse! Det idylliske hotellet har en unik atmosfære, spesielt med den spennende bruken av en gammel låve. Stedet oser av sjel – virkelig utrolig mye sjel! Alt er velholdt og nøye ivaretatt, noe som skaper en lun og autentisk stemning. Dette er absolutt et sted som er verdt et besøk, og jeg kommer veldig gjerne tilbake!

Lovely cute cabin/hut set near Gol. Very warm and welcoming owner. The hut is very clean and tidy but is somewhat small. Anyone tall will have to bend a lot. That said, it was warm inside and cosy and the surrounding area very beautiful.

Staying at Hesla Farm was like traveling several hundred years back in time, only we were lucky enough to have a slightly more modern kitchen, heating system and bathroom! Fresh warm bread, jam, fruit and newly hatched eggs were served every morning- just remember to ask if the eggs are raw or boiled!! Warm and accommodating hosts. I admire their desire and ability to restore a part of Norwegian architectural history.

Our bed was a little hard but our host bought a new matress the next day and we slept like princesses the next night!

The property had no record or a reservation for us. Fortunately, they did have a room, just not one of the picturesque stabburs.

It was historic and quaint. Our room was spacious, modern restroom and clean. The kitchenette was a plus.

It was not clear if breakfast was included or additional cost.

A quirky, place which is probably fun in summer.

As we were there in September- no breakfast was served. When we arrived, we couldn’t locate the owner to get the key, waited about a half hour.

Great atmosphere and location. Oozing old Norwegian farm culture.

To be fair, I must state that the owner was away and their stand in didn’t know which room we were booked into or how things worked. We were given a room which was cold and the heating didn’t work. The receptionist said she would check with the owner and give us a warm room, while we went out to eat. The room we got was the room we had booked, but was still too cold as most of the heaters had not been turned on while we were out eating. We turned the heaters on and it was soon warm. In the morning we tried to take well needed hot shower, but the was hot water wasn’t even luke warm. The receptionist didn’t answer her phone or reply to an SMS when we tried to contact her. We left both smelly and dissatisfied. The free WiFi didn’t work. The TV reception was very poor. The front door was very difficult to lock and unlock An internal door needed slamming hard to get it to close. The chest of draws was an antique but on the verge of collapse if one tried to open it. The bed creaked horribly.

We were picked up from the bus station and taken to the railway station the next day. Despite the confusion caused by booking.com property description the lady owner put my daughter and I in a fantastic lodge with two double beds, a kitchen and bathroom. This was a unique experience to stay in an old building that had all the modern amenities. We needed an early breakfast and what a surprise at the spread provided of fresh produce including egg, salmon and fruit. We recommend that if you are ever in Gol you must stay here.

Lovely environment and pretty old buildings

They didn’t tell us that a party booked out 90% of the rest of the hotel area, so when they were playing loud music late at night my friend and I weren’t happy to be put in the position of the “bad/complaining guests”. They also didn’t speak any English, only Spanish and Norwegian.

We liked everything about our experience. Especially the hostess. We felt truly cared for. I hope we are fortunate and can visit again. It was amazing!

Great hospitality, serene place to relax and the best breakfast we have ever had. Dinner, soup and chicken (very delicious) and drinks were included in the price! Highly recommended!!!

The hosts were so lovely and helpful. They helped us feel at home. The farm is beautiful and breakfast was delicious. Lots on offer. The animals on the farm were a real treat. Would love to come back for longer.

The room we stayed in was "amazing" - rustic, offbeat and actually a bit hard to get into (up steep old stairs) but as a historical old building but with modern amenities it was just lovely. Grounds & surrounds were also lovely. Some of the other rooms (all stand-alone ex-farm buildings) looked "nicer" on the outside than ours but we didn't see inside them.

We just used the queen bed but I think had we needed to use the loft in our room as an extra bed as well e.g. if we had a child, that would have been a bit tricky. And my partner was less keen on the roosters crowing at 4:30 am! But it's a farm.

Probably my worst paid accommodation ever. I booked and paid my room approx 1 month ago based on pictures and reviews. When I arrived they’d lost my reservation. Got a room after all, but it looked nowhere close to pictures presented at Hotels.com, The standard was completely worn down. It was in the basement of a tired house located 150-200 yards from the reception at Hesla Gard , and in between was a construction site. The house was maybe from the sixties and, and I don’t think much has been done to the apartment since. There was a TV, but it didn’t work. It was cold and I tried to put on some heat, but the only thing that worked was the bathroom floor. I only checked glasses in the kitchen and they were so dirty that nobody would consider dinking from them without doing the dishes first. Furniture was old and tired, but nothing like antiques. Bathroom carpet so old and dirty that it should be burned. They have a kitchen, but had no place for me for dinner. Breakfast was similar but, but I was offed a ”quick breakfast “ consisting of coffee and a waffle. I skipped it and will definitely drive past this place next time.

A very unique place to stay. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful food - amazing presentation.
