Breakfast was excellent with wide range of traditional food. Hospitality was good. Preeta, Richard in the reception, muthu in room service n ladies in the restaurant were exceptional in their service. I was bit apprehensive as I came with my young daughter but i was completely at home. Thank you chola heritage for making our stay memorable n pleasant.

Breakfast was good. I am not comfortable with the location.

The rooms could have been more clean. Experienced little creatures inside the room The hotel doesnt have its own restaurent. We have to order outside for lunch and for dinner we have to give prior information to them.

Not much to dislike

A room looks nice. The staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast was buffet style with different south Indian dishes. There's a supermarket opposite the hotel.

There were some misunderstandings because of the staff's limited English. The breakfast is late, starting at 8 and even then only some food is ready so you don't have much choice. The room is just a bed and a little side table so it's not too comfortable (especially if you consider its quite a high price).

Very nice ambience and good service

Overall, it's a great resort for families. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast is excellent with delicious food. Although there is no swimming pool at the resort, the overall experience is very good.

My husband and I visited Karaikudi for the 1st time and chose to stay at Chola Heritage - so glad we did because we feel that no other place would have made us feel at home like the staff and environment at Chola Heritage. Special mention to Mary & Muthu, in addition to every single staff who prioritises the guests more than anything else. We didn't have the heart to leave Chola Heritage or Karaikudi and will definitely visit both again! Highly recommended stay!

Un hôtel dans l'ambiance Chettinad avec un prix plus abordable. Les chambres sont belles, bien décorées , confortables Le personnel aux petits soins qui accueille avec une limonade fraîche . Le petit déjeuner est varié et délicieux. Un vrai coup de cœur

Breakfast was really good.

No chair or table in the room

It is grand and certainly displays the chettinad culture. The breakfast was class! Bowsami and Sheela were the chefs and did a great job preparing food. Clean rooms courtesy of Shanti ! And cleaned daily. Mary, Preetha and Veli were the front desk staff and were absolutely awesome! And of course all the other staff were great as well. I could go on but this should suffice!

Personnel peu attentif aux demandes comme le prix du dîner par exemple et qui a été facturé 400 Rs pour quelques morceaux de poulet 65. En guise de poulet en sauce, essentiellement des os. Pas de dessert disponible. Vérifiez la facture ! Quatre repas facturés pour trois convives !!Restaurant extérieur donc exposé aux moustiques. Par ailleurs, la présence d'animaux dans le parc et les sacs de nourriture qui leur sont destinés et laissés à proximité des enclos attirent immanquablement les nuisibles. Au petit-déjeuner, pas d'autres fruits que la papaye.. Les chambres mériteraient d'être mieux entretenues. Le bâtiments n'a pas le charme d'un établissement ''héritage'' hormis les coursives menant aux chambres.

Hôtel avec du charme, chambre spacieuse, gentillesse du personnel, la présence d'animaux dans le jardin, bien situé pour visiter le Chettinadu.

Présence d'une ligne de train à proximité (mais pas trop dérangeante). Comme visiteur non indien, manque de variété dans la cuisine.

Breakfast was not upto our Expectations. Appam, Idiyappam and Uddin Vada Missing. Pongal was not upto the Mark. No filter coffee.

Very beautiful hotel, with a nice garden (with rabbits and ducks). The room was clean and comfortable. The showerhead was a sensorial rainshower. The breakfast was plentiful.

Improvements reqd in the dining hall table linen cleanliness. A cupboard should be provided in each room. A shower closet would also be a good addition.

Service petit-déjeuner complètement désorganisé et très très long.

Accueil très moyen. Chambre sans fenêtre. Le train qui longe l'hôtel et qui klaxonne fortement jour et nuit. Les coupures d'électricité la nuit (problème quand on dort avec un respirateur). Repas du soir uniquement idli et dosa.

Staff doesn't speak English which was quite inconvenient for us as we needed help booking a car for sightseeing and booking a car or a train to our next destination. Both morning we stayed at the hotel, one of the staff members was blasting music at 7:30 am through the speakers right next to our room's door, and were very surprised when we asked them to please turn it down. We really wanted to like this hotel, but was quite a let down, especially for the price we paid for the room.

Les chambre sont certes jolies mais sans lumière naturelle, il y a 17 interrupteurs dans la chambre … et surtout malgré le joli jardin pas un seul petit coin salon( avec qlq fauteuils) dehors pour lire, écrire… et sortir des chambres sombres. Accueil juste sympathique ( première fois en 2 semaines) … peut être à cause de la fin de Pongal ?

Being able to cancel the second night I had planned to stay at this hotel.

Hygiene & Comfort: Cockroaches in the room and no hot water (the hotel lacks a boiler).Strangulation smell in the room Safety Issue: Exposed electrical wires just 10cm from the head of the bed. Faulty Equipment: Lights that wouldn't turn off and extremely loud AC from the neighboring room restarting every 15 minutes. Noise Disturbance: Proximity to the train tracks and loud music blasted from reception starting at 7:30 AM. Service & Catering: Breakfast not ready until 8:15 AM. Unhelpful staff (no assistance with luggage, emails left unanswered, no local information). Management: The manager was dishonest, denying the pest issue until shown photographic proof, and failed to follow through on promises.

No soundproof, sound from adjacent room and corridor could be clearly heard. Since the property next to railway track...Too much of noise

There were a couple odd things that I write off to cultural differences but everything was clean and people were helpful. As for the strange things, the only one I'll bring up is that I don't want to be pressured to write a review on site when I'm checking out.

The stay was really good with friendly staff who took good care. The breakfast spread was also very good.

Really happy with the stay! Ms. Preetha and her team were so warm and caring. The food felt like home, simple and tasty. Definitely great value for the price.

The place is very quiet and the staff is all nice and helpful - especially Miss Preetha 🥰💕🌸 I did celebrate my birthday there and each person came to congratulate me !! They were all so nice with us ! We received good advices and tips for where to eat and what to visit. They have a tasty food served for breakfast - and you can also order food in advance, at the kitchen, for lunch or dinner ! At breakfast time, the bath of the geese, is a must watch !

The geese do have their own free-time each day ... But the sight of the rabbits and parrots in their cages was a bit difficult to accept ... Pierre Perret l'a dit avant nous : Ouvrez, ouvrez la cage aux oiseaux - et aux lapins !!

I stayed lot of hotels around the world... This is my memorable stay in my life. Because lot of heritage works inside the rooms. It was making different feel. Corner table, bed, Elephant theme, old model kettle, tea cup, phone stand, bathroom fitting each one giving more vintage wow feel. I dont like to checkout from there... Not only me! When i talked the another guest they also said same. I Love this place❤️

Fantastic hotel and amazing staff. My friend and I loved this place, so much character and charm. It has been beautifully restored and it was a very special place to stay. Special thanks to Sheela and Chef Priya for a superb evening meal and a very memorable evening. Staying at the Chola Heritage is one of the highlights of our journey round Southern India. Highly recommend.

Food Quality is very good as Chef Priya was excellent.

When i had sent the advance long time back, they went on asking me when i will be checking in & they were not confirming my accomodation. Even after long talks & WA msgs, they found out I had paid then their MD confirmed our accomodation. The reception staffs does not understand English. In reception, they need to have staffs who can talk at leadt in English at least. They call this Heritage which is a misnomer. This hotel is a new building.
