Had a really nice stay at Kubu Artha Bungalow. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the whole place had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved the garden and the vibe! The accommodation was nice and got cleaned daily. Breakfast was good and for a good price (25k). The staff is lovely and very welcoming. Renting a scooter from the owner is possible and communication via WhatsApp is easy. Possibly my favorite accommodation in Indonesia so far.

No drink water refill unfortunately. The location is a bit away from the center so renting a scooter is recommended. For me that was nice but it was still a bit noisy from a beach club nearby. If there had been free drinking water and a table I would have extended my stay for a while because it was really beautiful. Suggestions for improvement: It would be very helpful if there was some more storage space or if the cupboard was cleaned inside too to put your stuff there. And some hooks would be practical as well

Kubu Artha Bungalow was one of the highlights of our stay in Nusa Penida. The property is surrounded by nature, making it incredibly peaceful—you wake up to the sounds of birds instead of traffic, yet restaurants and other conveniences are still just a short ride away. The bungalow is clean, cozy, and a perfect place to relax after exploring the island. What truly made the experience special was the owner, Gidi, who treated us like family from the moment we arrived. His kindness and hospitality made us feel completely at home. One of my favorite memories was having one fresh coconut per person every day, included with our stay. Picking the coconuts straight from the trees and drinking them fresh was such a unique experience that made us feel connected to the island. If you need a scooter, renting it directly from Gidi is easy and convenient. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic Nusa Penida experience.

Tout était parfait ! Gidi est très accueillant et nous a même offert des noix de coco et des goyaves ! Les cabanes sont magnifiques et très propres. Le cadre est idyllique sous les cocotiers ! Petit plus : le petit déjeuner est servi sur la terrasse pour seulement 25 000 rm ! De plus le logement ne se trouve qu'à 5 minutes à pied de la plage. Je recommande vivement ce logement ! Il y a la clim dans le logement donc là température est parfaite.

I had a wonderful stay at Kubu Artha!! The room was spacious, as was the restroom. The breakfast was great. The property is about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The couple who owns the property are wonderful!! Gede was sooo nice!! He helped me find a snorkeling tour, he took me there on his scooter (no charge). On the day I had to leave, he drove me to the port, at no charge!! I felt so grateful to stay with him and his wife. Also, his wife showed me how they open a coconut and I was then able to drink it. Overall, I had such a nice stay at their home. I would come back and recommend others to stay with them.

The lack of lighting in the room and the key getting stuck in the door.

It is in a great location, especially for those who love diving, as it is close to several diving centres in Nusa Penida. The host (Mr Gede) was so welcoming and even waited for us due to our late arrival. The room was cleaned every day. We loved the breakfast (banana pancake with strong Balinese coffee). We were impressed with how good the Wifi connection was. We enjoyed our stay here.

It can be a little hard to find, especially for first-time visitors. The bungalow can be accessed via a much quicker route off the main road. It would be advisable to have a torchlight as the path is dark in the evening, although it is safe to walk.

The host was an amazing guy, and his family were experts in hospitality. They made us breakfast, lunch and diner for a good price. The host explains lots of things about the culture if you are interested. He even brought us to a traditional ceremony together with his son. The accommodation itself was clean, and you can really find yourself in peace here. That is if you like to be in nature. In the night, you will hear animals (birds and geckos), and the roof can be quite noisy. Also, there are lots of insects outside, and we encountered a spider in the bathroom. This was a very fun experience for us, and we would recommend this to anyone.

the location is ok if you have a motorbike, not comfortable for walking or even with car. there was no furniture to put on bags or clother, no hanger, this should be added for comfort.

We had a wonderful time at our bungalow. It was such a cosy cabin and Gede was an incredible host. He gave us great tips about the island and was in general such a lovely person. Always in for a talk and we even got to taste fruits from the garden. He also took us on a trip to Tembeling beach which was really cool. The bungalow is close to lots of restaurants and the beach. In the night it was really quiet so we could relax. The beds were good and the shower had good pressure with warm water. In the morning we were provided with a basic, but good breakfast for a small price. Overall a great experience, would recommend! :)

Made a nonrefundable booking and paid in advance for a double bed, only to be told that it was unavailable and offered two single beds. Not enough power outlets. Poor soundproofing. Free shuttle service is stated in booking but is not provided.

Kubu Artha is set away in the jungle in a very peaceful but only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. very close to beach clubs which let you use their loungers etc if you buy a drink, and very close to a lot of dive centres. the beds were comfortable, the aircon was good and nice and quiet. Gede could not have been more helpful with helping arrange our departure back to Bali

The location and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. They were very attentive to our requests, and helping us plan out our days.

I wouldn't recommend using the taxi service they offer, but we are very appreciative for their help in booking our ferry.

The bungalows are located in greenery, just a few minutes from the beach and restaurants. The owner is nice and helpful. Upon arrival, we received a free fresh coconut, which we could pick from the tree ourselves. Every morning, they bring breakfast directly to your bungalow at the time you prefer. They also provide scooter rentals at a good price. WiFi and the air conditioning works well.

When I was doing something on my laptop in the evening, sometimes I could barely see the characters on the keys. - Pillow too high There were 2 pillows on the bed, both of which were way too high. So, at night I laid my head on a towel. - Terribly slow WiFi last evening The last evening, I couldn't do anything with my laptop because the WiFi was very slow. - Relative expensive - If you are a certified diver: The diving in Kommodo National Park is much better than off Nusa Penida. There you see a lot more (manta rays, sharks, turtles, all kinds of fish), the visibility is much better and there is no thermocline (water is suddenly only 20 degrees instead of 26 degrees 5 seconds ago). Don't waste your time diving off Nusa Penida, go straight to Kommodo National Park. It's worth it.

Beautiful property, very well looked after. Hosts were very polite and friendly. Property located in a perfect position, not too far from anything.

Amazing staff, they were extremely helpful and always very friendly and approachable. The daily breakfast with home grown ingredients was also 10/10. Will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Nusa Penida

The location is literally in the middle of the jungle with nothing surrounding it. You would need your own scooter or then pay for the driver, otherwise it’s hard to get anywhere from there and I would’ve personally been scared to walk back in the night. The AC was not working too well!

Location is good - about 10-15 mins ride from jetty and 3 mins walk through a sparse forest from the main road. Do take note that the walking path is very dark after sunset. Was advised to use own mobile to lit the path, or as a last resort, ask for a lift by scooter. Room was clean and spacious, and hot shower was working well. The couple - Gede and his wife - who runs the place was polite and helpful.

Room was really quite bare. Wish there was another chair or some place to hang clothes in the room.

Personally, I would not recommend staying there and even left one night earlier. During the night it was very noisy because of traffic & animals (there is a cock very close by) and I never got a good night sleep. The breakfast is very simple. It’s in the middle of the jungle and I felt quiet isolated. However, this is just my very personal opinion and apparently lots of travelers very much liked it there.

Kubu Artha is a wonderful place. The bungalows are very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was very large and sometimes there was warm water. But who needs warm water with these temperatures... The room is cleaned daily and the wonderful owners are kind enough to leave fresh mangos and coconuts in the room. At night the place is quiet despite it being close to an area with shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Also the wifi is really good and fast. The location for me was perfect. Not too far from the port and close to the beach and relaxed beach clubs. I rented a scooter to explored the rest of the island. Kubu Artha can help arranging everything and the communication is friendly and fast. Initially I booked for 5 nights, but ended up staying 12 nights. So highly recommended from my side. Excellent value for money and I would definitely book again.

I made a small suggestion to Gede the owner and that is to eventually look into putting a small fridge in the room. It would be great to be able to cool some water / beers / soda's or melt sensitive candies ;). However I understand this cannot be realised easily and it would definitely NOT be a deal breaker for me to return to lovely Kubu Artha. And if you want stuff cooled then Gede offers to use a general fridge which he has on the premises.

Great property, good location and a very comfortable stay. Gede and his wife were superb hosts, he even picked me up from the harbour and allowed me to pick my own coconut to drink from their beautiful garden. Breakfast was served early to me on request, yummy banana pancakes! And they provided me with a scooter to rent on site…Fantastic! I would recommend this property to anyone!

Gede was a super nice host! He arranged good tours to a reasonable price. The breakfast was delicious and on top, Gede has the best mangos and coconuts in his garden. The room was clean, the space enough, the area in front of the room was nice too. It's close to the beach (3 mins walking), where you have great restaurants, and to the Banjar Nyuh harbour (walking 25 mins).

The room was quite dark, not many lights, and looked quite practical, but not very lovely. But this is complaining on a very high level, we definitely recommend staying here!

The location is excellent for local food and western.food alike. Close to everything. The hosts are a lovely local family who can help you with scooters, tours and general information. We had a real relaxing stay. Thank you Gede and his family!

The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious! It's nestled away in a very quiet spot. The room is large and stays cool in the evening. The bed (king size) was probably the most comfortable I had during this two week trip. They also helped us to organize tickets for the ferry at a good price and arrange a reasonably priced scooter. What more.would you want ?! 😁

The owners were lovely people. It was a 4-minute walk (short cut) to the area with restaurants. Breakfast (banana pancake) was brought to the bungalow each morning (bananas were from owners plantation).

Gede and his family are very nice and are eager to make your stay super comfortable. If it’s Mango season you might even snatch a couple of Mangos from their tree in the backyard. The bungalow is also very comfortable and has more than enough space. It’s located in a side street off of the main street and is surrounded by trees. If you want a simple, comfortable and heartfelt stay, this is the right place.

The hotel it’s near by Muriti habour. And near the beach. If you don’t hire a scooter the owner can send you to wharf or restaurant.

If you want water need ask them. Maybe water it’s not included. Don’t know.
