Reviewed Sep 2, 2026La struttura è immersa nel deserto omanita, che regala una vista pazzesca.
Essendo bassa stagione noi eravamo gli unici ospiti della struttura e questo ci ha permesso di goderci ancora di più il soggiorno qui.
Amer, il proprietario, e tutto il suo staff ci hanno accolti e fatto sentire come a casa.
Durante la serata abbiamo visto i dolcissimi cammelli e le caprette, per poi proseguire con l’escursione al tramonto.
Nonostante il cielo fosse totalmente nuvoloso, appena abbiamo visto un piccolo spiraglio di sole Amer ci ha portati di corsa su una duna dall’altra parte rispetto a dove eravamo pur di darci la possibilità di ammirare il sole scendere, è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa.
La cena e la colazione, incluse nel prezzo, erano buonissime con porzioni super abbondanti.
Unica pecca, dovuta alla stagione, il caldo estremo.. noi avevamo prenotato una tenda ma al nostro arrivo ci è stato detto che avremmo soggiornato in una delle casette perché nelle tende avrebbe fatto troppo caldo.
Nella casetta c’era una ventola sul soffitto che però non ha raffrescato minimamente, nonostante fuori ci fosse un bel venticello e la nostra porta spalancata.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Desert Wonderlands. Nous nous étions trompés de date, mais le propriétaire a été extrêmement gentil et arrangeant : il est venu nous récupérer et nous a conduits jusqu’au camp.
Nous étions les seuls et avons été installés dans une mini maison très agréable. À noter : il n’y a pas de climatisation, car le camp fonctionne entièrement à l’énergie solaire, ce qui est compréhensible. En revanche, les petites piscines individuelles permettent vraiment de se rafraîchir, ce qui est très appréciable.
Le personnel a été aux petits soins tout au long du séjour, avec une mention spéciale pour Victor et toute son équipe, qui ont largement contribué à rendre notre expérience aussi réussie. Les petits-déjeuners, déjeuners et dîners étaient excellents.
Dormir à la belle étoile dans un tel cadre est une expérience incroyable. Le prix peut sembler élevé au départ, mais selon nous, cela vaut vraiment le coup. Un superbe séjour que nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Les chambres sont spacieuses, modernes et confortables et decorees avec gout.

Rien a redire. Malgre la chaleur extreme (fin mai), tout a ete fait pour notre comfort.

Reviewed May 24, 2026We got an upgrade to a lovely bungalow with a pool! When it got too warm inside the house they even built a bed for us under the stars. I definitely recommend this place if you want to visit the desert in Oman. Thank you for this magic experience!

Reviewed May 16, 2026We stayed here for one night, and I thought both the camel ride and the Sunset Desert Tour with pickup and drop-off service were excellent and reasonably priced. Although we originally booked a tent, they kindly upgraded us to a deluxe room for free, possibly because it was the low season, and we really appreciated that.
The desert at night was absolutely beautiful, and they also provided delicious dinner and breakfast. Honestly, the quality of the food was much higher than I had expected.
If any of my friends visit this area in the future, I would be very happy to recommend this camp to them.
Struttura pulita. Erano presenti solo le quattro costruzioni con la piscina, non le tende in quanto non c’è più molto turismo. Servizio ottimo il trasporto, abbiamo lasciato la macchina e per 15omr siamo stati portati in struttura dal proprietario. Bellissimo campo in mezzo alle dune. Anche cena e colazione tutto ok.
Manca l’aria condizionata e c’è solo la porta di ingresso quindi l’aria non gira. Peccato perché di notte le temperature scendono, ma l’abitazione resta un forno

La maison avec la piscine privée est magnifique, seul bémol pas de Clim et donc nous avons passé une nuit très chaude. Sinon c’était super et je conseille le sunset tour c’était magique

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026Amur e lo staff sono quanto di meglio si possa desiderare per un soggiorno rilassante e senza pensieri nel deserto. Sono stati disponibilissimi per ogni nostra richiesta e ci hanno fatto sentire a casa nostra e coccolati. Cibo ottimo e abbondante e l’alloggio era spazioso e confortevole. Sunset tour col 4x4 superconsigliato, come le altre attività. Struttura estremamente pulita e ordinata, RITORNEREMO sicuramente!!!

Abbiamo incontrato l'host al punto di incontro e ci ha condotti con il suo 4x4 attraverso le dune fino al campo tendato. La nostra tenda era super confortevole, spaziosa e ben arredata. Vincent ci ha poi portati prima a conoscere gli animali allevati nell'area e poi a vedere il tramonto sulle dune più alte. Sia la cena che la colazione sono state abbondanti e davvero deliziose. Consiglio vivamente questo campo e le esperienze che hanno da offrire.
Nulla, è stato tutto perfetto.

Super komunikatywny właściciel bardzo szczegółowo opowiadający o życiu na pustyni i swoich wielbłądach. Ciekawym doświadczeniem była przejażdżka po pustyni w roli kierowcy dzięki uprzejmości właściciela. Super doświadczenie w komfortowym campie na pustyni.

В пустыне очень интересно, мы около кемпинга есть дюны, до которых не сложно добраться, чтобы посмотреть на рассвет и закат. Также в кемпинге есть животные, можно посмотреть на верблюдов (свободно ходит мама-верблюдиха с верблюжонком), коз, баранов, куриц. Палатки очень комфортные утром, вечером и ночью, днем жарко, но можно пойти в центральное помещение, где есть вентиляторы. В палатках есть огнетушитель. Естественно, в палатках нет электричества, но доступны пауэрбанки, также есть вайфай. Роутер в центральном помещении, но у нас получалось подключаться даже из нашей палатки. Питание супер, на завтрак предлагается яичница, сосиски, фрукты, овощи, бобы, сыр и различные намазки, на ужин шашлык и люля из разных видов мяса, гарниры, овощи, фрукты, лепешки, запеченые лепешки с мясом, соусы. Еды много, она разнообразная и вкусная, подходит и для детей. В бронировании было указано, что будет только завтрак и ужин, но нас также покормили обедом, что стало для нас очень приятным сюрпризом. Вечером зажигают костер. Сотрудники очень приветливые и отзывчивые, помогали нам с детьми. В общем, это чудесное место для того, чтобы расслабиться и отдохнуть.

The location of the camp is amazing, right in the middle of the desert where it feels like there is nobody else around for miles. The tent was really comfortable and the food served was also really good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Emmanuel who served the food. It's incredibly peaceful out there and a great place to get away from it all.
It would have been nice to have a little more instruction on dinner/breakfast time, but really a small thing and didn't detract from the experience.

The camp is located in the desert (15 min drive through the dunes) and can only be reached with a 4x4 or pick-up by the camp staff which needs to be arranged beforehand. It really feels like staying in the middle of the desert with no other camp to be seen. The tents are quite big and nicely decorated, each with a private outdoor bathroom connected to the tent. In the evening at 8pm there is a buffet dinner with a bonfire afterwards. Highly recommend!

Nocleg na pustyni w namiotach, więc oczekiwania należało dostosować do okoliczności. A te nie zawiodły oczekiwań. W sumie niecodzienna przygoda warta polecenia: cisza, spokój, najpierw gorąc dnia, potem zimno nocy, widoki, wyjątkowy zachód i wschód słońca, zupełnie wystarczająca kolacja i śniadanie, sprawny transfer.
Na minus - brak ciepłej wody podczas wieczornej kąpieli.
Waren 1hr30 te vroeg op pick up plaats (prima aangegeven door google maps) voor als je zoals wij geen 4x4 hebt. Toch direct opgehaald!
Goede sunset dunebashing. Eten ok.
Oryxen, schapen, drommedarissen.
Losse wc bril en geen warm water in de rudimentaire buitendouche, maar in de woestijn is dat een detail.

The main frustration for me comes regarding the ”sunset tour” it is 35 OMR and they drive you to 2 spots where you see sunset for maybe 45 minutes. You can do this for free if you have 4x4 (we did this next day and was not hard) more frustrating for me was I asked the staff ”does the sunset tour include dune bashing” ( because most otker camp’s offer a high adrenaline activity you drive up and down the dunes crazy style) and the staff said ”yes”
My girlfriend and I thought ok the price is very high but if we get some dune bashing maybe it’s worth it. Finally we did not do any dune bashing at all, just drive to 2 view pointsfor 45 minutes and pay 100$. The next day I talked to him about it and he said ”if you look at the texts I told you sunset tour, not dune bashing” ( see the screenshot ) Complete waste.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026Großartig!!! Man bekommt einen Meetingpoint genannt und wird dort abgeholt. Es wird sich um den Reifendruck und alles gekümmert und wir konnten bequem in Kolonne zum Camp fahren. Über die Dünen hat das richtig Spaß gemacht! Im Camp sind alle unglaublich bemüht um uns und bieten neben leckerem Essen und tollen Zelten auch immer noch kleine Randinfos - welche Düne zu welchem Sonnenstand, was man noch machen könnte und so weiter. Dabei ist aber niemand aufdringlich. Da das Camp etwas abseits liegt und nicht ganz so groß ist, haben wir gefühlt auch mehr unsere Ruhe. Es gibt Kamelreiten und Co, aber unter angenehmen Bedingungen für Mensch und Tier. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen!
Aufpassen- nachts wird kalt!

Wenn man auf hohem Level meckern möchte - die Betten sind sehr hart. Finde ich persönlich im Zelt in der Wüste jetzt aber auch völlig okay.

Het personeel dat er werkt is erg vriendelijk .
Wij werden op het opgegeven ontmoetingspunt opgewacht en begeleid naar de locatie , zelf hadden we dat echt niet gevonden in de woestijn.
Het is van 2 eigenaren die zich eigenlijk nauwelijks bemoeien met de gasten . Wij werden niet geïnformeerd over praktische zaken als tijdstip van ontbijt of over mogelijkheden van sunset tour etc. Dit moesten we allemaal zelf navragen. Dat kan echt beter.
Bedden zijn echt enorm hard en sanitair zeer primitief en valt bijna uit elkaar .

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026De locatie: midden in de woestijn, geen andere kampen te zien waardoor je je echt in volledige rust waant. Je slaapt in een tentenkamp waarbij de eetruimte en chillruimte in het gebouw vooraan plaatsvindt. Perfecte locatie om een prachtige sterrenhemel te zien.
Het eten: heerlijk uitgebreid buffet bij avondeten en ontbijt, lekkere verse producten. Gepresenteerd in de gezellige eetruimte waardoor je echt rust vind na een reeds drukke doorreis.
Het personeel: superlieve mensen, die steeds met een brede glimlach klaarstaan om je te helpen.
Activiteiten: wij hebben de extra activiteiten niet meegedaan, maar wanneer we vroegen of we een wandeling konden maken buiten het terrein, kregen we wel de tip om eens te gaan kijken naar de kamelen en het kersverse jong die geboren was. Dit was prachtig, gecombineerd met een mooie zonsondergang.
Een hard bed en koud water in de douche.
Weinig tot geen communicatie bij aankomst (zoals een onthaalboekje of een algemene info over de tijdstippen van het eten/activiteiten) waardoor we alles moesten vragen.

Reviewed Feb 13, 2026Great location, we made it there in a crossover SUV with AWD it was not too challenging - watch some YouTube videos on sand driving, adjust your tyres and car's driving modes, bring Google maps and a compass you'll be fine. Pickup is also offered for a reasonable price
The activities were great and the staff were so welcoming and lovely. Food was also good there was camel for dinner but plenty of other meats available if you like
There was wifi and phone charging in the main building. No phone signal
Very hard beds I woke up with slight pain
The shower wasn't heated, you should shower when you arrive in the afternoon because it's the hottest time of day
No sockets in the tent so bring a battery or charge in the main building

Reviewed Feb 11, 2026Wspaniałe doświadczenie już od pierwszych chwil - spotkania w umówionym miejscu i podróży własnym autem 4x4 za samochodem właściciela. Camp jest niesamowity, czuliśmy się iście bajkowo. Namiot był bardzo komfortowo urządzony, kolacja i śniadanie pyszne, a szef kuchni to istny Anioł (serdeczne pozdrowienia ❤️ ). To nasze najlepsze doświadczenie w Omanie. Prywatna łazienka pod chmurką też ciekawa.
Trochę twarde łóżka, dla osób nieprzyzwyczajonych może być mniej komfortowo. Ale całościowo jest tak super, że ja przeoczyłam ten jeden mankament ☺️
A comfortable yet authentic desert camp with very few guests, which makes the whole experience even more magical. A nice, traditional dinner followed by a lovely fire to sit by under a starry night sky.
Nice Welcoming Staff, they try to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

Hosts were super friendly and they informative and were happy to take special care of us.
We were the only guest which was lovely but may have been better to have more atmosphere with more guests. There are lots of camps to choose from but this one is fully licensed, the food is good and the tents are nice. If you don’t want to go for the overpriced, “luxury” options, this is a great place.
Bed linen was nylon so gave static shocks. Quite fun seeing the sparks but cotton would be more convenient

Reviewed Apr 3, 2025Naser and his team are great hosts. The whole communication and process were smooth. We drove our 4x4 car to the meeting point, he was there to wait for us. He guided us to drive in the desert and help us to adjust the tyre. We had the sand dune and sunset tour, it was worth it. The sunset view was stunning. He shared his knowledge about desert life, vegetation, animals and so on. He is passionate and knowledgeable about the desert and what he is doing. His team prepared delicious meals and helped us where we need.

We took a tour for sunset with the owner of the camp and it was definitely worth it - he told us some stories of the place and the landscapes were exceptionally beautiful. We also enjoyed driving on the dunes. Dinner and breakfast was also nice.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2024Pickup to the desert, original beduine camp with fire in the evening. The guided tour into the desert with looking the sunset was amazing. Our guide told us much Information about Vegetation, animals and all about living in the desert.
We were been on fullmoon so we can't see the Stars so good, it was to light for sleeping outside ;-)

My group was 7pax and we ordered transfer but we got only 1 car so the 7pax could not fit in...
A great place to experience the desert. It’s secure however it can be improved a lot. Washrooms were clean and we had the open air experience (no roof)
The sunset drive on the desert on 4x4 suv was very good.
Food quality needs to be improved. No Internet & cellular access. More lights esp at night would have been great.

It provides a genuine taste of the desert (great sights of dunes and starry nights, a sunset trip to the dunes with the extra perk of dune riding on a jeep), but also offers enough comfort for those who are not too keen on camping. The tents are large, clean and equipped with soft beds and even a small restroom (where you can truly shower under the stars). The staff is very nice. Absolutely recommended.

Reviewed Jan 21, 2024- highly recommend booking the desert drive for 30 OMR (per car), this included the transfer to/from the camp from the parking lot. The drive to the camp includes a serious uphill section, a cheap 4x4 rental got stuck several and couldn't make it. The desert drive is lots of fun, the driver will drive to 2 viewpoints (for sunset) with fun dune driving in between.
- Beds pretty uncomfortable, could use some new mattresses
- Despite the picture on booking.com, the 2 person tent does NOT have a private bathroom. In our case, 2 tents shared a bathroom between the tents

Reviewed Dec 23, 2023The desert camp is well located to see the extraordinary beautiful sunset. The camp tents are big and comfort to shelter 5-6 people with open sky showering room. Delicious Omani dinner with loads of fruits provided and we specially like the Omani tea and coffee. Camel ride and sunset ride on a 4-wheels car are great experience too.

We took a transfer into the desert, which included a sunset tour. Nassar was great, driving around the dunes and telling us all about the desert and how it has changed over the years. We even met his camels, who were very friendly and loved a pet! Sunset was really beautiful, I would recommend taking the tour if you come. The tent we had was great - large and very comfortable. For food - dinner and breakfast were simple but very well cooked, flavourful and plentiful food. Tea, coffee, dates and water are available around the clock. Lastly, all the staff at the camp were very friendly, attentive and helpful.

Staff doesn’t speek English, so it’s hard to communicate but they do try
We tried sand boarding, but it’s not really possible. After less than a meter you get stuck in the sand. Luckily we did it for free.
Great location out of everything in the middle of the desert. A short climb to the top of the big dune with amazing views. Nice staff, though they speak only basic English. Nice dinner, tasty and sitting by the fire enjoying the stars later. The tents are clean ans spacious with roofless bathroom attached. Great for spending a night away from almost everything.
The transfer (15 minutes) from the meeting point is pethaps a bit on the expensive side ( 15 OMR).

Reviewed Oct 29, 2023The desert camp far exceeded my expectations for an experience in the desert. The location was quiet and secluded which gave me plenty of time to catch up on my reading. At night the dinner served was amazing and I spent several hours stargazing from outside of my tent (the stars are so visible here, I ended up seeing 3 shooting stars!). In the morning the breakfast was also fantastic and a great way to start the day. The owner and staff were very helpful and happy to assist.
The only thing that I would change with my stay would be the pick up location for the shuttle to the camp needs a sign to indicate that you're in the correct location. I've included a photo of where this location is for anyone who might be unsure when they arrive.

Reviewed Oct 27, 2023Friendly managers and especially the working staff was amazing. Decided to take our own car to the camp and got to enjoy some sand driving. Booked a sunset tour which was great fun and beautiful. Got up early to walk up the big dune for the sunrise (ca. 20min walk up).
Should have turned the lights off in the night in order to facilitate enjoying the night sky.

The dune bashing was interrupted by late passengers arriving.

The location in the middle of the Dunes, the simple yet authentic camp, and the kindness of the owner really made our stay memorable.
I would definetly recommend to anyone looking for the true bedouin experience!

Reviewed Sep 9, 2023The camp is located between stunning sand dunes where you can go watch the sunset, sunrise or the beautiful starts at night. The drive with our 4wd SUV was made easy thanks to Nasser’s help, and that drive itself is already a memorable experience.
We were alone in the camp, being still low season, but we were greeted with a tasty dinner and breakfast, comfortable beds, perfectly working shower, friendly staff… unbeatable value. There is also the possibility of sleeping under the stars in a platform with mattresses and pillows.
Great and more than enough food. Own is very friendly and easy communication through WhatsApp. He also offered us to sleep outside under the stars on a podium to be safe from small animals - would 100% recommend to do it. Also nice and safe hiking possibilities to top of dunes on your own.
It’s a bit unfortunate that not many people from staff could speak English.
Small improvements, e. g. mirror in bath or some hangers to dry cloths would make a big difference.

Reviewed May 28, 2023Had an incredible time here. Nasir was very helpful and responsive when I was running late for my transfer. The place was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were all nice. I loved getting to see the sunset over the dunes and then sleep under the stars!
