Reviewed Jul 23, 2026We love stopping here as our overnight between the Cape and North West. Sylvester is so friendly and welcoming that you instantly feel more relaxed on arrival
The fluffy pillows are a bit hard, which when you are trying to get some sleep before an early wake up, it makes it hard to get a good rest in. I would say to have one or 2 extra pillows in the cupboard so that if the guests find them too hard (as I know this is a personal preference) then it's easily swappable.

Reviewed May 11, 2026Communication is a big problem. Although we arranged for Breakfast the next morning and explained that we have to leave early, it was not ready as promised. The electricity also kept going off -terrible to prepare for a journey in the dark.

There was no water in the morning, but despite that, they really made an effort to accommodate us and offered to move us to another room where there was water.

Les logements sont spacieux et propre. La piscine très appréciable. Petit déjeuné très bon ! On recommande nous avons passé un très bon séjour ♥️

Reviewed Jan 26, 2026Only had accommodation as the stay was on-route to ultimate long-distance vacation, so the stay-over was adequate, a bit overpriced, but in season is acceptable.
For the location, they are above average, these small towns are not there for anything else but on-route stayover for most, so in general everything was acceptable. however, the restaurant that was recommended to us, was exceptional Leroux where the lamb was a grat experience.

The guesthouse does not provide dinner. After a long day on the road, we arrived after 6pm. No places in Victoria West were open where we could eat dinner or even buy a takeaway meal. Beds were uncomfortable.

The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed, with air-conditioning, a private bathroom, and lovely views of the garden and surrounding landscape. The work desk and mini-bar were thoughtful additions, and the free WiFi worked well throughout our stay. The outdoor areas are a real highlight. The garden and terrace are beautifully maintained, and the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing after a long day of travel. It’s a peaceful and family-friendly environment, with plenty of space for children to play. The staff were friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and we felt safe and well looked after throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend Victoria Oaks Guest House to anyone passing through Victoria West or looking for a relaxed and welcoming stopover.

Reviewed Jan 10, 2026Location excellent traveling to the WC. The staff very friendly setting breakfast outside for us with our dogs. The pool was a great relief after traveling the whole day! I appreciate the security team acting fast on street beggers.
Perhaps consider motorized gates. Although the gate was locked during the night. I was a bit nervous with leaving our vechile not fully unpacked.

Reviewed Jan 5, 2026Vrij gedateerd allemaal. In Victoria Wes is echt niets te doen. Ik denk dat er op de maan meer te doen is. Maar als je er dan toch komt is dit best te doen. Al is het maar vanwege de lieve mensen die er werken. Silvester is een perfecte gastheer. Wat een leuke vent. Ik hoop dat de eigenaren dat ook zien en hem hier goed voor belonen !!
Het was gedateerd en alles mag wel een opknapbeurt hebben. Badkamers zijn erg oud.

There were a lot of mosquitos in the room when we arrived, and no insect killer. That would have helped a lot.
