A nice comfortable bed with cotton bedding. Irma was very welcoming and helpful. A lovely log stove! A good radiator in the bedroom
It was rather cold in the eating and sitting area, though there was plentiful heating in the bedroom.
Ubicacion
Reserve para miércoles... Llegue al hostal y no había nadie... Nadie me contestó el teléfono... Tuve q ir a otro lado...
Good location, very friendly staff
Very clean, lovely garden to relax in, rents out bikes and suggests routes, very friendly owner, clean room and comfortable bed
Hot water ran out at the end of the day

Hostess was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. Room/bathroom was clean and towels were provided. Kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of details on what to do around town and also have bike rentals.

100 % recomendable
Lovely cozy hotel right in the middle of Santa Cruz. The host booked us on one of our wine tasting at the vineyard near to town.
Lovely staff. Thank you Irma. Good vibes
The whole hostel is very lovely with nice and spacious rooms for a good price, a well equipped kitchen and a really nice garden that invites for a chilled day. The location is perfect! Just 2 blocks from the center and supermarkets and with cafés next door. Which made the stay especially worth it was the welcoming staff - If we think back to Santa Cruz we will always think back to Ivan, who really made our stay here worthwile!
It was close to the centre. Parking was a bonus. It had a nice yard in which to hang out and relax. Yvan was very helpful.
Smoking in the yard drifted into the room when the window was open to let fresh air in. It was a little noisy at night with a group of people in the yard.
A hostel that feels like a home. I had a wonderful stay. The host was super helpful providing loads of information on local vineyards, also the bikes you can rent are really good quality. Helmut, lock and bike bag included so you can easily cycle back with bottles of beautiful wine from the tastings. The hostel was clean and the kitchen well supplied.
There was a bit of a queue for the bathroom most mornings as there was just one to share but that wasn’t the end of the world.
A sweet little hostel. Hostess gracious and knowledgeable. The bike rental was a great service. Everyone staying here is here for wine. So while it’s definitely not a “party” hostel it is definitely very sociable, in all the best ways.
I had a wonderful time at Casa Suiza. It’s a small and cozy Hostal and often all guests would sit together in the garden at night. The staff was very nice and helpful with organizing tours to the wineries and the bike I rented was in a good condition. There’s no breakfast but a kitchen for shared use and a very good cafe right around the corner.
Wei stayed 4 nights and loved Casa Suiza! Bike rental was fab - newer, well maintained bikes great for exploring the beautiful vinyards around Santa Cruz. Place has nice outdoor areas, is super clean and has a well stocked kitchen for the option to take a break from eating out. Gracias!
Nice hostel in a good location, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the bike hire was excellent and the outdoor space was really nice. Kitchen facilities were good. Overall really lovely!
It would be good if there was an option for a room with a private bathroom, but the shared ones were always available for use so not a big issue!
Nice kitchen to prep our own meals. Shady courtyard useful on a hot day. The host was able to assist with her tools when we awoke to a flat tyre (we did have our own but was nice od her to help with a large basin of water and a large pump.)
The bed is very comfortable. I slept well.
Very kind hosts, nice outside area and living room with guide books and book exchange. They organise bike tours and wine tasting. Though the bathroom was shared there were plenty for the number of guests and they were very clean. Clean kitchen for preparing simple meals.
Room was a little small but fine for one or two nights.
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Suiza very much! As the owner Moritz was in Europe at this moment, Iván took care of us as a host. Also thanks to him, we felt quickly like at home. He explained to us many interesting information about the region, its wine and people. In addition, the accomodation has a very nice common area with a chimney and comfortable seating. Thanks again for this wonderful stay, Iván! Nina & Andi

Really great find - super friendly, lovely and warm shared lounge/kitchen. Loved the tour they organised for us and good quality bikes.
Nothing - great addition of radiator in the rooms for warmth!
Great location, lovely to sit out in the garden, Moritz was a super helpful host. Comfy bed, hot shower
Very nice and helpful staff. Clean room. Great bikes!
Nothing.
Good location, clean, nice private rooms, reasonably priced for Santa Cruz.
Felt very pressured to pay for the bike rental in cash. We did because she had seen we had cash and kept asking for it, and wasn’t getting the card machine out, even though we had it out and asked. But we shouldn’t have been so British about it as it’s put a real downer on our feeling towards the place, and we struggled with paying tolls etc after. Cash isn’t cheap for tourists - we pay fees. Staff weren’t as friendly as previous reviews. Needs more mugs/wine glasses in the kitchen - being fussy.
Moritz is a very nice and kind owner he can help you with anything! Nice terras and garden to sit. Bikes you can hire are in good condition. Our dobble bed was comfortable.
Nada
Fantastic hostel with great facilities. Moritz was a friendly relaxed host who helped with booking a vineyard tour and runs a bike hire business from his hostel. I recommend cycling to a vineyard.
Staff was very helpful and friendly and made you feel right at home. Definitely do the bike self-guided wine tour, if you have the time (Maquis winery was amazing). Even though bathrooms are shared, there are plenty compared to the number of rooms. Very good value for money.
It is missing a personal locker/safe.
Helpful staff
Basic room without private bathroom, no breakfast, bit overrated on booking
The caretaker Ivan was the one that made this stay special. He helped us with booking the long distance bus, we talked a lot about wine and he has a vast knowledge of Chilean history and the Colchahua Valley. I
Really great place to stay. Greeted on arrival by Ivan - what a pleasure talking with him and he’s a wonderful host. Self guided tour of vineyards by bike organised by the hostel and can thoroughly recommend. All facilities great.
Nothing- all excellent
Everything was as described We could walk everywhere in Santa Cruz including a winery We also had a tasting at Casa Suiza which we enjoyed
The hostel is located in a calm area of the town, but very close to the center. The rooms are quite spacious and there is only four of them in the whole house, so there is almost a family atmosphere. The common kitchen is small, but satisfactory for a tea/coffee or a simple meal. The landlady Irma is always willing to help in anything you might need. Additional services are also provided (laundry, bicycle rental, wine tours...) for a fee. We did a self-guided cycling wine tour and it is highly recommended.
No breakfast options. The bathrooms are shared, but we never had to wait to use one and they are always perfectly clean. The equipment has seen better days (wardrobes are a bit hard to open/close, shower head is a bit wobbly...). Irma, although an absolute sweetheart, is only Spanish-speaking - a few words in any other language (English, German...) would be a real help.
Really nice house with comfortable common areas and a very helpful host that has loads of recommendations.
All was good
Really comfy room, incredibly welcoming, lots of advice and flexibility
Probably the best hostel we stayed at, felt really at home (cozy but not cramped). Host was really nice and set up the TV for us to watch rugby! Good info pack on wineries to help choose and did a tasting at the hostel too. Good value for money. Nice common areas inside and our.
Owners were very kind. We barely speak spanish so she made sure she was understood and even got us to talk to some english people for english explanations. The bike and wineries visit day was lovely.
Rental bikes where great. Person working there was very nice. Location was good. Practical info about winerys and cycling routes available.
Lights of rental bikes where empty after a while. After dinner riding back was a bit dangerous without lights.
Friendly owner, good bikes for rent
Not fornus but One could see it as a problem - lack of TV
Great location, really helpful owner, comfortable room, in house wine tasting (pay extra)
All good
Nice terrace and garden, very clean, bike rental, host helped with reservation of wine tasting tours.
Only 2 bathrooms, kitchen tiny, only one person has the space for cutting etc.
Very close to Square and very friendly staff.
extremely clean, comfortable room, lovely shady garden, friendly knowledgeable staff
A small hostel with everything what you need. Close to the city center. Nice garden.

Very nice, helpfull and welcoming owner Clean and comfortable
A lovely homely hostel with great facilities
the outdoor area was perfect for a quiet break
super friendly owner, very comfortable beds, great Wi-Fi, just the perfect stop in Santa Cruz for Colchagua exploring on a bit more of a budget
The hotel is close to the casino, a bus terminal that leads to Santiago. We take a 4 persons room with shared bathroom, the good point is the location that allow us to visit different amazing vineyards.
Comfy beds and really nice rooms! The host is very welcoming and helpful! Had a great stay here :)
