Byland Star Hotel

What i didnot like is about Booking.com .I paid around 17537 rs from India which the receptionist told they will refund at the time of check out.But at the time of checking out they said what u paid it's to booking.com ,they haven't received any money though I have paid online and I have proof.They told to complain in customer care of booking.com.From next year we will not book from India,rather prefer to book Buland on spot. .Thank you

Very good property, they should revise price because other nearby property are charging very competetive price.After two night stay we have to move to other hotel.

They gave one room and after 2 days they are asking to change the room because its reserved for someone. Then who am I? Nonsense talk and unprofessional manners.

Great service Great location

Отличный отель, все чисто и аккуратно. Мы из Казахстана были единственные. В основном проживают там индусы. Нет запахов, номера хорошие и нет шума с улицы. Рынок Футиен рядом, завтраки отличные. Так как в этом городе я не нашёл хорошую кухню, только завтракал. Жили в трех местном номере, кровати удобные, постельные принадлежности чистые. Там же в фае можно купить местный номер.

Рядом только индиская кухня, нет центральной азиатской или европейской кухни. Рядом в шаговой доступности нет ничего интересного и нет продуктовых магазинов.

in all the means propety was amazing. Vey close to yiwu international trade center. Lot of Indian restaurants just outside the hotel. easy to commute anywhere

The Location of the Property is Good very near to Famous Futian Market. Lots of Indian dining options near hotel.

Property is good. Staffs were friendly. Loaction is perfect as all the Indian restaurants are nearby.

The negative part is the breakfast. Very limited options for Indian food. That too very average taste. The property also requires renovation now. Washroom upgradation too.

Dear Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding a recent incident during my stay at Byland Hotel, which has left me both frustrated and disappointed. On [09-23 of April 2025. Incident happened on 13/04/2025], my companions and I checked into your hotel. Upon our departure to another province, we were charged an additional 200 RMB for what was claimed to be a stain on our bed sheet. We paid this amount under duress, as we needed to continue our travels. We had specifically requested that the bed sheet be kept with our luggage, assuring the staff that we would address the issue upon our return. When we returned to the hotel two days later, we inspected the bed sheet and discovered a small blue pen mark—essentially a line with two dots. We were taken aback, as we had not carried any writing instruments with us during our stay. Despite our attempts to explain, the front office staff remained adamant that the mark was our responsibility. Their refusal to consider our explanation was both unhelpful and discourteous. I find it hard to believe that a hotel of your reputation would handle such situations in this manner. It is concerning that the staff did not even consider the possibility that the mark may have been inadvertently created by someone else or that it could have been a pre-existing condition that went unnoticed until our departure. This incident, coupled with the harsh behavior of the front desk staff, has marred what should have been a pleasant experience at your hotel. I urge you to review this situation and consider refunding the 200 RMB charge, as it seems unjustified given the circumstances. I hope you take this matter seriously and ensure that your staff is trained to handle such issues with professionalism and courtesy in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. No need to charge 6rmb for a glass of water which was broken by mistake. They did charge me 6rmb bcoz there was a crack on glass. And also when u can to know that the glass is broken, you must replace it by new one. So atleast client can use it. Broken glass can harm the client. SO BE AWARE NEXT TIME. NOT ALL THE CLIENTES YOU RECIEVE ARE THIEVES, TRUST IS IMPORTANT. ALL THOUGH VERY GOOD HOTEL, EVERY TIME I VISIT CHINA, I STAY AT THIS HOTEL. STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL.

We didn’t have breakfast due to an early start but there were lots of complimentary fruits and snacks and coffee.

Byland Star Hotel is a nice hotel for international business man so stay, they offer best service than almost hotel is Yiwu. Especially, I want to say that Princess is a kindly lady and manager. When I finished my breakfast, she is waiting here to ask my experience and suggestion,that's make me fell this hotel will be better and better in a long time. Have been staying in Byland Star Hotel at cheng being lu Yiwu from many years now, one thing I have noticed that the quality and variety of Indian breakfast has been drastically going down. Indian food is usually cold which is not a good thing for a hotel where so many Indian nationals come to stay during their visit to china. The hotel needs to improve its services and update it's rooms keeping in mind the opening of few new and modern hotels in its vicinity which could sway away it's loyal customers.

Breakfast never had much of a choice most was based on Indian style or Asian nothing continental to offer on the table.

But more understanding of English to serve customers coming from nonlocal backgrounds. The booking desk was unable to find our booking made through booking.com but later located it and moved us to a room which was quite small.

Poor service. We were told by booking.com that your room is upgraded but we were given down graded room.

Only had 1 time real breakfast though i stayed for 2 days because they start breakfast after 7..should start 6.30am as in many other hotel in China, because I have to go to station by 7.15...but the staf were nice enough to let me into breakfast hall at 6.45..though had nothing except egg n tea..but this is fine for me. the welcome biscuit n coffee in the lobby n nice staff are a plus point for this hotel.

what i dont like about the room..it is a big room with a game table..the game table is what is disturbing...we are not gamers..as we are on biz, they should be table n chair for biz..

Poor maintainance. The phone in the room was not working. Complained twice but it was not fixed. AC becomes too hot during winters.
