Reviewed Apr 18, 2026Everything is to like about Dongshan Free Garden. The lady owner is sooo friendly and lovely that she makes you feel at home straight away. We stayed at her place 3 nights during our first visit, and we stayed again last night on our way back to Taipei. The house and surrounding is calm and special, the room itself is massive, well decorated, very spacious, a lot of natural light, and absolutely spotless. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. The water pressure is perfect, wifi in the room with tv if you need. You have a kettle in the room with tea bags, coffee available downstairs with water fountain and more tea bags. The breakfast? A massive plate of delicious food, and you don’t need lunch after that. You have access to a walking track near the house. To make it even more perfect, there is an adorable black cat that is super cute. Everything is special about Dongshan Free Garden. But what makes it even more special is the friendliness of the owner and the staff we have seen during our stay. We would love to come back during our next visit in Taiwan.
That we had to leave 😩

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026

Reviewed Aug 30, 2025
