La gestión de la dirección del hotel, empezando por la gerente (prepotente, soberbia, altiva y muy maleducada). Lamentablemente, vivimos el terremoto mientras estábamos alojados en este hotel. Cuando nos entregaron el equipaje, faltaban dos relojes, un anillo y una pulsera. Tuve que entrar personalmente a los dos días del terremoto para recuperar el anillo y la pulsera, con el riesgo que conllevaba el acceso; pero misteriosamente, los dos relojes que estaban en la caja fuerte y que dejé abierta cuando salimos despavoridos, nunca aparecieron, y las únicas personas que entraron en la habitación tras el terremoto fueron los empleados del hotel.

Breakfast and dining area was great. The facilities like the gym and pool were clean and spacious.

Rooms were very plain and dull. Overall it felt over-priced for what it was.

Not a 5 star hotel, maybe for Pereira but please don’t expect something equivalent to The Mandarin Oriental. It is very much a 3-star hotel, 4-star at a push. The hotel must improve its overall facade if it is to remain competitive - the rooms are dusty and tired with 4 hangers for a large room accommodating 3 people. The dresser style drawers smelt stale and damp so we didn’t use them. We lived out of our suitcases for 5 days! A thorough vacuum and mop under the beds and furniture, along skirting boards and inside the wardrobe would not go amiss, and a refresh of paint would work wonders to improve the overall feel. There is a distinct lack of artwork in the rooms - even of the surrounding coffee region - which makes rooms feel stale. The shower doors would benefit from being better sealed - water escapes where the doors don’t meet in the middle. The room also smells damp, something proper A/C might fix. The air conditioning is rather noisy and gave all 3 of us a cold and cough. Not because it was particularly cold but I think the quality of the unit is poor. We did not use the A/C again after day 1 of our 5-day trip. The staff are nice here. There are perhaps too many during breakfast wandering around trying to look busy. The breakfast offering is ok. Colombian breakfast with a good fruit offering. They are not great with getting the mango out at breakfast, and when they do, it is chopped into small cubes seemingly yo make it last longer and slow to be refilled even though the hotel was busy and we were early to eat (6:30am). It is always on sale and cheap at the local supermarket/ street stalls so not sure what the problem is. Colombian guava is by far some of the best I’ve eaten, as is the pineapple. Keep up the fruit offering and keep replenishing! The dinner at the hotel was ok. We ate dinner and it was just average. The soups were thick, could us been thinner. The seafood stew was fine, over-salted with no fish (just prawns, two mysssels and squid). The squid was perfectly cooked whilst the muscles were not fresh and larger prawns overcooked. The bread served with it was so heard and I suspect cooked earlier and not fresh at all. The restaurant gives the impression of being fancy but it is not. If you arrive before 7pm you can only order from the room service menu which is so odd, but given how long everything takes here we managed to order from the à la carte menu and it arrived within the hour (as we expected!) The location is convenient for amenities. If you are a light sleeper the hotel is not for you. The noise of cars and traffic builds up early and the windows are single-glazed. We were on the 6th floor. It is a bit further out for those wanting to visit Salento and Cocora Valley, but not too bad for our 4-year old. If I were to stay in the coffee region again I might opt for Armenia as it is a bit closer to the main sights, and a bit quieter. The only other thing I would mention is that we were situated in a room away from the lift/ elevator which we requested. On our last night they decided to appoint a couple in the room next door, bearing in mind there were other empty rooms which we knew from how many tables are set at breakfast. This couple were frisky as hell - and kudos to them - but we discovered that the walls are thin, there is a huge gap under the locked adjoining door so we heard everything. A little common sense would have helped in allocating a room even one room away. Overall we won’t be staying here again. The response will be that they take feedback into consideration etc but from some of the feedback I’ve read they haven’t and won’t. We have travelled a lot as a couple and as a family. As Colombia becomes even more popular as a destination this hotel will nee to improve their game if they wish to keep up with expectations and what customers expect for their hard-earned money.

Del Movich me gusta que tiene gimnasio y Spa. El desayuno está riquísimo y la gente en general es amable.

No me gusta que a pesar de que el hotel tiene sitios donde casi no circula gente, el único sitio destinado para los fumadores es un cenicero en la entrada del hotel sin ningún sitio para sentarse.

I stayed at Movich Hotel Pereira for three nights and, unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing compared to what I remembered from previous visits. During my entire stay, the air conditioning in my room did not work properly. The heat was unbearable and made it extremely difficult to rest comfortably. For a hotel of this category, this is simply unacceptable. Additionally, before making my reservation, I called the hotel to confirm that pets were allowed and specifically asked about emotional support dogs. However, upon arrival, I felt that some staff members were dismissive and unwelcoming toward my dogs. I was even told that I could not walk them in common areas because the hotel is not truly pet-friendly. If a hotel chooses to accept pets, they should be welcomed with respect and kindness. Otherwise, it would be better to clearly communicate that the property does not offer a genuinely pet-friendly experience. What makes this even more disappointing is that I stayed at this hotel about five years ago and had a completely different impression. Sadly, I feel that both the facilities and the overall level of service have deteriorated significantly. The Movich I experienced this time is not the Movich I remembered. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my recent experience.

Como buena Pereirana, Cafetera , me esperaba un delicioso Pan con sabor a Café. Como dice ahí en el buffet. Pero lo unico que tenía Cafe, creo que era el colorante del pan. 🥴 Recomendacion: mejorar la receta o no hacer el ridiculo con los turistas ! Porque literal, es un pan Café no con sabor a Café. — 1000 ⭐️

Location, general overall beauty of the facility.

Room needs door card to turn on lights, tv, air conditioning. It also turns on a bank of lights behind the bed that runs the length of the room. There is no switch to turn it off. So you sleep with lights in or no a/c, tv, etc. only 1(one) electrical plug in the entire room and it’s located away from the beds. You either get to charge your phone or keep it by your bedside.

The staff at check in and check out were friendly, professional, and efficient. The breakfast buffet was the best hotel breakfast that I've had in years. I'd stay at this hotel again just for the breakfast. Although it's an older building, it's been updated, and in particular, the lobby looks great. One of the massage therapists in the spa spoke English well, which was helpful.

The pool service could be improved. While friendly, the pool service was slow, and the price of a gin and tonic was a bit of a shock, too.

De faciliteiten zijn over het algemeen goed voor een hotel van die klasse. Het restaurant is ok en er is een, zeer uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet.

Het hotelpersoneel en met name het management heeft een boek te leren over hospitality. Wij hadden een lekkende airco zodanig dat de kamer vol water stond. Het was zogezegd gerepareerd maar 10 minuten erna was de boel alweer aan het lekken. Na een derde incident waarbij we midden in de nacht in plassen water moesten lopen in de kamer had ik aan de receptie gezegd dat het moest gefixt worden of een andere kamer moest geregeld worden tegen de namiddag, als we terug waren van onze uitstap. Ik vroeg ook het management te spreken, verschillende keren, maar die "waren er nooit". Toen we in de namiddag terugkwamen wist de receptie van niets. Na veel bellen werd ons verzekerd dat het probleem definitief opgelost was. Toen we na het diner laat in de avond op de kamer kwamen stond alles weer onder water. Pas toen werd ons een ander kamer aangeboden. Het was laat en we waren doodmoe dus we vroegen om een vlugge herstelling omdat we niet laat op de avond al onze bagage wilden inpakken om te verhuizen. Management gaf weer niet thuis. Tijdens de nacht moesten we alles vol handdoeken leggen omdat het lek alsmaar erger werd. Uiteindelijk kregen we dan 's ochtends toch een nieuwe kamer, maar nog steeds geen management, geen excuses, niets. We kregen wel een suite. Technische problemen kunnen natuurlijk voorkomen, maar de manier waarop ik als klant behandeld ben vond ik onacceptabel. Telkens moest ik alles opnieuw uitleggen en er kon op geen enkel moment een verontschuldiging vanaf. Mensen verstopten zich achter elkaar en het management was compleet onzichtbaar. Ook geen compensatie voor het ongemak op de beter kamer na de laatste 2 dagen van onze week verblijf. Er moet veel geleerd worden daar, want nu is het 5 sterren hotel met een 2 sterren service.

I liked the kindness of the staff, the breakfast is outstanding and the hotel is in silence all the time. Really good to have good rest. The location is awesome also. I recommended it a lot.

Español y Ingles. The English version is below. Como cliente recurrente que ha elegido este hotel en varias ocasiones, me siento muy decepcionado. Llegué y mi habitación no estaba lista —me hicieron esperar más de 2 horas— aunque había otra habitación disponible y solo pedían 20 USD más por el cambio. No me habría importado pagar esa diferencia, pero después del trato recibido decidí que no pondría ni un peso más en este hotel. La gerente, Beatriz (puede que no esté escribiendo bien el nombre), demuestra no entender el valor de la lealtad; debería aprender a apreciar a clientes que no solo vienen ellos mismos sino que traen a muchas otras personas al hotel. Tras este trato, no volveremos ni gastaremos un solo peso más aquí: después de años de hacer negocios con ustedes nos trataron como a desconocidos y todo ese tiempo no significó nada. Falta de profesionalismo y de aprecio por clientes habituales. No lo recomiendo hasta que cambie la gestión y el trato al cliente. As a repeat guest who has stayed at this hotel several times, I am very disappointed. I arrived and my room was not ready — I was made to wait over 2 hours — even though another room was available and they only asked for an extra $20 to switch. I wouldn’t have minded paying that difference, but after the way I was treated I decided I will not spend another peso here. The manager, Beatriz (I may be misspelling her name), clearly does not understand the value of loyalty; she should learn to appreciate guests who not only come themselves but bring many others to the hotel. After this treatment, we will not return or spend another cent here: years of business meant nothing when we were treated like strangers. Unprofessional and unappreciative of regular customers. I do not recommend this hotel until management and customer service improve.
