Atlantica Caldera Palace - All Inclusive

Veldig bra!

Very nice and posh hotel. But we arrive late so missed dinner, and they left us a couple of sandwiches in the room and some sweets. We ordered a picnic for a day out and didn't have any actual food on it. Only rice cakes and nut hars. We requested a late checkout and it wasn't recorded. They put the request day before and was confirmed. Paid 150 euros (missing 2 meals we could have been offered a discount). We went to bedroom after lunch and card wasn't working because they didn't update in reception the late checkout request. I have to givev4 stars because food was amazing and 3 restaurants included. Daily activities not announce, not much offered. We had to contact social relations manager to get information, but not very helpful at that point.

Amazing stay at this resort- the swim up room was a definite must have! The food and staff were also amazing!

This is a great family resort not sure of you dont have children. The beach is right outside 2 mins walkaway

The stay we had at Atlantica Caldera Palace was amazing. The hotel itself was not far from paradise!! The staff were great and there were lots of places around the hotel complex to relax. There rooms were spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels etc. We would definitely return.

We booked the family suite with private pool. The rooms were really nice; clean and spacious. Had a slight few problems with the lighting control as the whole suite (living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms) were connected so it was complicated to use. Aircon was also a problem as it kept switching off. The private pool is quite small. Staff are ok, not rude but not welcoming either. Mini bar in the room only had 2 bottles of water so we asked for extra 2 as we had 4 people in our suite. The staff was very hesistant and said they only give 2 bottles a day. He then gave us 1 extra "this time only". All inclusive does not mean all inclusive. There are alot of subcharges. All restaurants and cafes close at 10.30/11pm so if you arrive later than this or feel hungry after this time, then you'll have to pay for food (room service). The main restaurant where we ate breakfast lunch and sometimes dinner, was good. Breakfast and lunch are usually the same more or less, but they have different cuisine each day for dinner. So all in all, a good choice of food for the week. We managed to get booking for the greek BBQ (€15 per person) which was really fun. Live music and performance. Would definitely recommend. There are other restaurants in the hotel that doesnt charge extra - we tried the tex mex and thai. Both are ok, not the best but not terrible. Indoor pool, sauna and gym are all extra costs. They are located in the spa area and we was told it was a €25 fee to use.

Just completed a weeks stay at the Atlantica Caldera Palace, our first all inclusive. Very much a fly and flop holiday (so no excursions / exploring). Caldera Palace was fantastic, a great room, lovely facilities, great food and exceptional staff (always smiling and helpful) - would we go again, absolutely; would we recommend, definitely.

Struttura molto bella e tenuta bene,vacanza perfetta.

Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sehr positiv ist uns das Personal aufgefallen. Äusserst freundlich und immer hilftsbereit! Die Unterkuft hat so ihre kleine Macken. Mal eine Fliesse defekt im Pool oder eine Poolleiter schief. Das Zimmer war riesig. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Swimup Pool Inland view (mit 3 weiteren Zimmern geteillt). Das Zimmer hatte ein riesen Bett und einen weiteren Raum mit 2 Schlafsofa. Vor dem Zimmer hatten wir einen eigenen Sitzplatz mit Tisch und Stühlen sowie 3 Liegen und separaten Pooleinstieg. Der Pool war eher kühl und mit Salzwasser gefüllt. Für die 4 Zimmer ist der Pool sehr gross dimensioniert mit ca. 6x15m! Leider war unser Zimmer nahe der Hotelanlieferung was durchaus höhrbar war, zumteil auch frühmorgens! Es gibt ein Hauptrestaurant mit Büffet wo man immer essen kann. Die Besuche in den den Resraurant sind A la carte. Die Besuche in den a la carte sind je nach Dauer des Aufenthalts beschränkt und müssen vorgängig reserviert werden. Uns hat das Buffet mit versch. Themenabenden ausgereicht. Es gibt Bereiche nur für Erwachsene, 2 Pool und Essenbreich im Hauptrest. Ebenso ein separates Frühstück nur für Erwachsene. Der Sandstrand ist schön aber mit Steinen gespickt. Wir würden dort wieder Ferien machen! Der Transfer mit dem Sammelbus (Danos) war aber sehr schlecht. Unbedingt Privattransfer oder Taxi nehmen.

Το περιβάλλον είναι υπέροχο το δωμάτιο ήταν ευρύχωρο καθαρό με πολλές ευκολίες το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ καλό ένα από τα πρόβληματα ήταν σε μια πισίνα που είχε υπερβολική δόση χλώριο με αποτέλεσμα να μου κάψει τα μάτια ευτυχώς είχε νερό δίπλα και τα ξεβγαλα γρήγορα αλλά για 40 λεπτά είχα θέμα με τον ήλιο βέβαια το ανέφερα στην ρεσεψιόν αλλά 3 άτομα έπαθαν το ίδιο. Το φαγητό δεν είναι και το καλύτερο έχει καλά πιάτα αλλά σε γενικές γραμμές χρειάζεται βελτίωση

Brilliant staff serving to the beach, along with most of the staff we came across, with a other notable mention for the maid we had. A la carte dining options were well worth doing and much better than most other all inclusive hotels weve visited, although booking on the system was difficult and could be improved. Lovely hotel with nice modern rooms. Only other point to families, is that the pool area next to the beach is the adults only zone, which is a large area of the pools that are available- the size of this area wasn't overly clear when booking. All in all though a really nice place which is run well

We booked a sea view swim up and the terrace had significaht amounts of rodent droppings. We had to move room but they could only offer the same block and there were still rodent droppings on the terrace. Not at all even 2 star standard. Very dissappointing. The family pool area was very cramped and dirty and the adult only area was much more spacious and luxurious. Other guests with families made comments very similar to us onbthe family pool area. I have been to several hotels in this area of Crete and for the reasons above this was by far the worse. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to any family. In additoon some of the staff were rude when asking for basic things.

I stayed with my family in this resort for a week. I loved everything from the room to the pools to the beach to food service staff everything was excellent thank you so much for making my vacation unforgettable

Beautiful place, great areas for family time and for adult time. Baby club was wonderful, staff throughout the property were diligent and kind. The restaurant staff were so impressive. We loved our time here!

Property was disceiving upon arrival. After walking around the first day we realized how large and beautiful this property really was. We were helped daily by a person on their staff named "Efrosini". She provided sooooo much information to my wife. She assisted us with everything. Efrosini definately needs to be nominated for employee of the year !!! So friendly, so quick to assist, always with a smile. Glad we chose this resort and Efrosini made it that much more enjoyable 🙂

We were fortunately upgraded to a private pool (5m by 4m) which was a Godsend because by 930 every (literally every) sunbed was taken. Partially because I noticed people taking two or three (a couple in one pool with one hotel towel over them and then a couple at another pool with personal towels over them). If you don’t get a private pool / swim-up then DO NOT book this hotel unless you are willing to get up at 8. Apart from that - drinks choice was good, all premium but Pepsi rather than coke, food was acceptable - somewhat average and the buffet choice very limited and often empty. There are lots of bars and restaurants outside so this isn’t one of those hotels you are “stuck in”

Die Hotelanlage und der dazugehörige Strand ist sehr weitläufig, gut gepflegt und schön gestaltet. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und ebenfalls ansprechend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Einzige was zu bemängeln wäre ist, dass die Zimmermädchen leider nur sehr oberflächlich arbeiten und einige Ecken im Zimmer entsprechend nicht richtig sauber waren. Es fehlte an kleinen, aber entscheidenden Details in Sachen Sauberkeit (Badematte, Tüten in den Mülleimern, dreckige Leisten im Bad, dreckige Scheiben an den Schiebetüren des Zimmers, fremde Haare auf den Zierkissen etc.) die man einfach in einem 5 Sterne Hotel, auch in eigener Landeskategorie, erwartet. An sich haben wir die Zeit dort aber sehr genossen und würden definitiv wieder dort Urlaub machen. Die Defizite im Zimmer wurden durch die Anlage wettgemacht.

This is the worst 5 star hotel I have been to in all my years of travelling. This hotel deserves a maximum of 3 stars. The room is the only positive thing about the hotel as it was reasonably fresh. However, the beds were hard. The food is a disaster. It is the same food in the main buffet every day. The only thing that is varied are the sauces for the meat itself. Most of the meat was pork, so there wasn't much else to choose from. Tired of the food after just a few days as there is no variety in the food. I also got food poisoning after a few days and I'm still not recovered after I got home from the trip and it's almost been a week. Avoid eating at this hotel. Also, unpleasant staff and unpleasant treatment. They are only nice to Greeks. Felt uncomfortable every time I ate in the dining room as the waiters gave us ugly looks. There is also salt water in the pools that are meant for children to be in, which is completely insane. There is no information that there are many saltwater pools and only a few "regular" pools. The children's pool is also at the far end of the hotel, which makes it very difficult for children to walk such a long distance with all the stairs in the strong heat.

Loved it. Definitely coming back next year .

My family absolutely loved our vacation at this resort, they set the bar for all future holidays. The staff was so attentive and patient, always going above and beyond. The food was outstanding, the shows, the spa. I could go on and on. We didn’t want to leave!

I had the most wonderful stay at this hotel, we had a swim up suite which was perfect with a great view of the sea. The food was amazing and the staff so brilliant. The only downside was the drinks and I wish there had been an option to updgrade to a premium package as it did spoil the holiday a bit. The best thing about the hotel was the lovely entertainments team in the evening, a special mention to the brilliant Jorje who delighted us each evening with his singing and even serenaded me on my birthday. What a lovely guy! Andy was also fabulous and the saxophone player all 3 super talented. Some parts of the hotel could have used a cosmetic update but honestly I loved the hotel and would come back.

A nice resort however the location is an issue unless you have a car. It feels rather remote and the beach didn’t look amazing here like what you would expect. Need to go out and visit some beautiful beaches and everything felt so far away… Could hardly secure sun-beds in the adults only space which was frustrating. Annoying that you can’t swim in pools after 6pm and no shaded areas in any of the pool areas.

it was not so good the ac was not working and they did not change the room but keep on sending the technician who could not do anything for two nights the restaurants were understaffed and they could not provide us reservations for another restaurants

The service we received at Atlantica Caldera Palace was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with mojitos for us to enjoy while we checked in. The hotel wasn’t certain what time we would arrive, so had arranged food and drinks to be provided for us in our room. It was also our honeymoon and the hotel wasn’t aware before we arrived. On our second night we returned to the room to find a bottle of wine, fruits and other snacks and a letter from the hotel to congratulate us and offer us special offers to use in the hotel which was a very thoughtful gesture. We arranged different dinining options at the a La carte restaurants with Veronica on the PR desk. She was very helpful and arranged everything for us and also made some recommendations for places to visit. The service really could not be faulted throughout the hotel. The housekeepers were expetional and every evening we returned to find our beds had been turned down and chocolate left on the pillows. Katrina, one of the waitresses, was incredible. She was so friendly and personable and made such an effort for our stay. She insisted we tried different local liquors and told us a bit about each one. She really was an asset to the hotel. There were a number of other waiters and waitresses and bar tenders that were brilliant in the adult bar and the adult dining area.

Our stay was exceptional! From the start, we had ongoing communication prior to our arrival, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Despite our short notice, the hotel graciously accommodated an early check-in. To celebrate our girls' trip, which included a birthday and a bachelorette, they went above and beyond by sending complimentary fruits, drinks, and cake to our room. We were thrilled to receive an upgrade to a room with a private swim-up pool, making our stay even more special. The staff and services were just exceptional! Although we encountered a minor issue with our key entry and had to wait an additional 15 minutes for maintenance, the staff immediately offered us free drinks, which was incredibly generous and unnecessary but highly appreciated. Their accommodating nature and dedication to making our experience beautiful truly stood out. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a memorable and delightful stay. Thank you to everyone who made our trip unforgettable!

Séjour agréable dans l'ensemble mais ne pas s'attendre à un "vrai" 5 étoiles. Points positifs : - grand hôtel mais réparti sur plusieurs bâtiments donc les couloirs ne sont pas bruyants et la circulation assez facile - plusieurs piscines - plusieurs espaces adultes - chambre grande et propre - parking gratuit - serveurs serviables Points négatifs : - pas beaucoup d'informations sur le fonctionnement de l'hôtel au moment du check-in - beaucoup d'enfants donc assez bruyant à certains endroits, surtout au buffet malgré le coin adultes only - la qualité de la nourriture des restaurants est vraiment moyenne (possibilité de réserver certains restaurants mais souvent complets) - choix des alcools bas de gamme dans la formule all inclusive - fléau de tous les hôtels : réserver les transats tôt le matin - ce qui devrait être interdit car certains transats restent vides jusqu'à 15h Je recommande pour les familles avec plusieurs enfants mais pas pour les couples ou entre amis.

Amazing hotel, we had a private pool which was great. Staff were so helpful, food and drinks were also amazing. We had an amazing holiday and would return.

During our stay we had a very enjoyable time. Visited for my wife’s birthday and had a great experience, the staff was kind and helpful, and added to the fun. The amenities were awesome, on my wife’s birthday the hotel made a great gesture sending her a cake with some certificates to the on site spa and discounts at the on site jewelry store a very sweet and kind gesture that made her birthday all that more special. The various pools to visit were amazing and the short trip to the beach was great, morning coffees with a spectacular view. Thank you for an amazing experience

Expedia hat uns gerettet und aus dem Hotel befreit. Zu viele Treppen zum Zimmer. Dreckige Räume, Insekten im Bad, Schimmelspuren im Badezimmer, kein Essen nach 21:00 auch wenn man spät im Hotel ankommt, Personal kennt sich im eigenen Hotel nicht aus. NIE WIEDER! FINGER WEG!

Decent option but not 5 stars. Restaurant reservation system left a lot to be desired. Everything full the moment they were available. Literally within 1 minute of opening only times we’re 9pm and even those options were limited. Staff didn’t try to be helpful. If you’re similar to Cancun all inclusive, this will fall short.

Lovely modern property, beautifully laid out. Lots of pools including adults only areas. Several different restaurants. All inclusive food was excellent. Nice beer, shame about the included wine. Own segment of beach just outside property. Small village nearby to wander around. Would recommend to families and couples of all ages.

Great hotel, and I especially like how Adult area is segregated from kids one (swimming pools and a bar). The sea is fantastic! Staff is very helpful, rooms are big and are very clean.

This is a great all inclusive resort! When we arrived, they surprised us with a free upgrade and gave us a family suite which was amazing. It even had a private pool! They received us with juice for the kids and sparkling wine for me and my husband. They gifted us a wine bottle and a fruit basket. The food in all the restaurants was a little bland for my taste but good. They have many pools, so it never feels crowded. My kids were entertained during the day at the pool and in the ocean. In the evenings, they enjoyed playing in the gaming room very much. They ran around the resort by themselves, and it was very safe. We were mostly in the beach where they have bar service and a water fountain. The lifeguard was always on watch, and we felt very safe swimming in the ocean. The beach is beautiful, and the ocean is calm. From the resort you can see the amazing sunsets. I would go back in a heartbeat!

After a short notice booking we were worried that we might have made a hasty decision when choosing this resort. The moment that we arrived those fears disappeared. Absolutely fantastic property. Service is superior to any other resort that we have visited in this world. You will be doing yourself a disservice not to book this resort for your next family vacation. We can not stress enough how wonderful this resort is for a family vacation

Wat een fantastisch hotel! Personeel zeer kindvriendelijk, leuke activiteiten, aan het strand, heerlijk uitgebreid buffet! Aanrader!

The resort is extremely clean and well maintained. The staff are very kind and accommodating. I am glad we chose this resort as it had tons of pools, seating options and a huge delicious buffet. Pools are very cold in May but still was a beautiful resort with ocean view and easy access. There are lots of excursions that can be easily signed up for, the quadding tour was very fun! I wish we had been informed when getting there that dinners need to be reserved if you want to go anywhere except the buffet. Even though we didn’t go during the very busy time it was near impossible to get a dinner reservation so we ended up eating at the buffet a lot but there was always a large selection there at least. There were lots of children which wasn’t a problem for myself or my husband and there are a few options for adult only areas but if you want a resort with no kids running around/swimming/yelling then this is not the place for you. The little shop on the resort where you can buy sunscreen etc is very expensive but there is a shop directly across the street from the resort that sells everything for half the price. It rained a few days so we looked at the spa at the resort but all of the treatments were extremely overpriced and the spa staff were a tad pushy. Overall, everything considered, I would recommend and go back to this resort!

Just arrived back from an amazing stay at Atlantica Caldera Palace. The staff at this hotel are the best there is, nothing is too much trouble. A special mention to Alyssa for the special welcome she arranged for us when we arrived. To all the guys at the Guru Bar. Also Nicole on Thursday evening. She was fantastic and definitely made the night a great night for everyone. We stayed a week and from the reviews from others I can honestly say they didn't stay in the same place as us. All the A la carte and the main restaurant were excellent, always fresh and very tasty. We loved this hotel so much that we are already looking to re-book for next year.

Loved the room - we had a family suite with private pool. the adult areas (bar, pools) were lovely and quiet and we really liked the adults only breakfast in the Greek restaurant.

מלון הכל כלול מעולה, המסעדות מעולות (נדרש להירשם מראש לאלו שמגישים תפריט), החדר אוכל המרכזי מגיש את האוכל הכי טוב לטעמנו, אין מה לעשות בקרבת המלון (במרחק הליכה) אך יש במלון בלי סוף בריכות וחוף ים מעולה ככה שלנו לא היה צורך, השתיה החריפה מגוונת ויש הכל (גם בהכל כלול), הצוות מאוד נחמד ושירותי, המלון מוכוון לקהל הבריטי כך שצוות הבידור וההפעלות לילדים הוא אנגלי, יש שירותי שמרטפות והפעלה לילדים בין 3-7 ופעילות ללא הורים עד גיל 12 (צריך להירשם מראש), המלון עצום ויש חדרים מבודדים ומרוחקים כך שכדאי לברר אם החדר קרוב לבריכות המרכזיות. ממליץ מאוד על המלון אנחנו היינו 4 לילות - זוג וילדה בת 2
