Reviewed Sep 4, 2026The owner is nice, the location is good (quiet and secure, close enough to Mahébourg to get there on foot), and a different breakfast is offered everyday (it consists of one salted item and one sugary item, plus fruits).
The room is not overtly luxurious, but is clean and decent, with AC and hot water. The pool is very nice, but tends to attract mosquitoes.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Pokój z dużym łóżkiem i balkonem z widokiem na drzewo mango... W pokoju lodówka, sejf, czajnik, herbata, kawa. Dużo miejsca pod prysznicem. Codziennie świeżo przygotowywane śniadanie. Codziennie coś innego. W pobliżu duży supermarket, blisko do centrum. Miła właścicielka.
Osobiście wolałbym bardziej wytrawne śniadania... :)

Todo súper limpio y cada día te ofrecen un desayuno diferente y recién hecho. Los dueños son realmente agradables y muy buenas personas, que te facilitan y ayudan en todo, un trato inmejorable. Tiene también piscina

Das Personal ist sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Der Balkon ist mit Balkonmöbeln ausgestattet, sodass er auch genutzt werden kann.

Reviewed Feb 8, 2026L'accueil a été fantastique avec cocktail de bienvenue, la chambre est très bien équipée avec un frigo, un grand bureau, une belle terrasse, une salle de bain bien spacieuse également, tout nous a plu dans cet établissement. Le petit déjeuner de très bonne qualité et différent tous les matins, sucré-salé servi avec chaleur humaine. Le personnel vraiment très agréable. Nous avions même une place de parking à l'intérieur de l'établissement donc en sécurité. Et il y avait également une piscine très chouette dont nous n'avons pas pu profiter faute de temps mais les familles présentes s'y amusaient bien. Vraiment un établissement à recommander pour tout ça et pour le rapport qualité-prix. Top +++++

Reviewed Jan 2, 2026Proprietaria gentile, buona la colazione. Si trova in una zona residenziale tranquilla e silenziosa, ma un po' scomoda se non si possiede un proprio mezzo: il centro (mercato, stazione degli autobus, etc) è raggiungibile in 20/25 minuti a piedi.
Le camere sono impersonali, anche se ampie, dotate di cassaforte, aria condizionata e terrazzino privato. Stanza pulita, ma datata: avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescata per essere resa più accogliente. Rispetto ad altre soluzioni nell'isola ho trovato che il rapporto qualità prezzo non sia ottimo.

Reviewed Dec 21, 2025La cortesia e la buonissima colazione variata hanno contribuito a rendere il mio soggiorno molto piacevole. Posizione ottima vicino all’aeroporto e alla stupenda Blue Bay. Il letto era molto comodo, c’era sempre acqua calda e l’aria condizionata funzionava bene. Sicuramente se tornerò alle Mauritius tornerò in questo B&B.
Mi ha disturbato un pochino il rumore della strada e dei condizionatori esterni.

Reviewed Dec 21, 2025Das Personal war super freundlich! Einmal waren wir zu spät zum Frühstück (wir dachten es geht bis 10 Uhr, ging nur bis 09 Uhr). Es wurde dann extra für uns noch etwas zubereitet. Ansonsten eine einfache Unterkunft mit sehr gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, die etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums liegt, was uns gut gefallen hat.
Das Frühstück ist ausreichend aber kein Highlight, was bei dem Preis jedoch auch nicht zu erwarten war.

Reviewed Dec 17, 2025Very helpful owner, delicious freshly made breakfast every morning (we had crepes and waffles) with a portion of fruit and good coffee. The room is a bit small and basic but clean and fine for a couple of nights. Parking available on or next to the property.
The A/C released a strong smell of mould anytime it was turned on. Luckily the smell did not last but a cleaning would be useful.

Reviewed Dec 15, 2025Really good value BnB just 20mins walk to mahebourg, 5min walk to bus stop with frequent buses to Mahébourg and to blue bay. We enjoyed the surprise of a different breakfast every day. Always a fruit salad, a savoury and a sweet treat. Savoury might be eggs, omelette, ham toastie or garlic bread. Sweet included waffles. Pancakes and home made cake. Our room was clean and bright with a cute balcony where we could watch the world go by. The bathroom was clean, the shower perfect after a hot sticky Mauritian day. We didn't try the pool but it, and the garden was kept beautifully by the friendly chap there.
The road in front was quite busy but we didn't hear it overnight.

Be able to provide food services at any cost for strangers in a new city.

You need a car to move from the hotel. But there is a parking so it is convenient.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2025The location of Le Bovallon was perfect for us. It was a short walk to Mahebourg and far enough from the town to be nice and quiet. There are a couple of good restaurants and a supermarket within a 5-minute walk, and the beaches of Pointe d'Esny and Blue Bay (best snorkelling on the island) are a 5-10 drive away. Our apartment was clean and quiet and had everything we needed. Breakfast was interesting and nice, consisting of drinks and toast you helped yourself to, and a surprise breakfast of the day that was prepared fresh (waffles, pancakes, omelettes, fruit salads, etc). Le Bovallon was excellent value, and the host and staff were friendly and went beyond what was expected, even allowing us to have a shower after we had checked out due to our late flight. We loved it, thanks everyone x
