Parking was easy and secure
Many shops
Excellent value, modern clean rooms, polite staff, good shopping and restaurants close by. Safe for families, but no drinking water in room.
clean, nice area, staff nice and friendly.
Clean and great staff service. Affordable and great location.
Doormen were extremely nice and polite. Front desk staff were plesant. Room was clean. Bathroom drain not draining fast enough. I just don't like standing on half inch of water while showering. Only 1 pillow provided, had to ask for 2 extra pillows. No hand towels, no face towels; just bath towels. No bottled water either. They sell it at concierge for P20/bottle. Bedroom was small but clean. Ok for short stay, but bring your own toiletries.
Love this hotel
Very friendly staff, extremely clean rooms, and convenient location. Will be going back. :)
Staffs are very accommodating
Great staff attentive and very helpfull- a true Gem
I checked into Red Planet BGC – The Fort around 9 AM after a red-eye flight from Jakarta. My stay was for 3 days and 2 nights, from July 25 to 27. For a budget hotel, it really impressed me where it mattered. + Check-in was smooth, even with my early arrival. The front desk handled it efficiently -I Have to wait until check-in time due to no rooms availabel for early check ins. no big deal, since they offer to store my luggage so I can go around the BGC area. +The room is compact but cleverly laid out. There’s a comfy bed, reliable Wi-Fi, good lighting, and plenty of power outlets. The aircon cooled the room fast, which was much needed after stepping out into Manila’s heat, except for my first night where the storm rages on. +The bathroom was clean, with strong water pressure and consistent hot water. And yes, this hotel has a bidet. I repeat, a bidet. Whoever designed this bathroom deserves blessings. Blanket and pillow are provided, and the bed was firm in a good way. I had no problem catching up on sleep even after a bumpy red-eye flight. Speaking of which, my flight came in during Typhoon Co-May (Emong) at its peak speed. The plane was surprisingly stable, and so was my sleep afterward. -No *free* bottled water, slippers, or closet. But that’s expected for this price. Just bring a water bottle and your own house slippers. for slippers they sell the comfort kits at the front desk. +Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. Close to Uptown Mall, Mitsukoshi, and other malls that I cannot name and BGC hotspots like mcd, kfc, jollibee, dunkin, lawson, bonchon, with a 7-Eleven just across hotel for last-minute essentials. 💡 Tips: * Bring your own drinking water or grab one from 7-Eleven. * No closet, so pack light or use your luggage creatively. * Use the Red Planet app for faster check-in and discounts. * Umbrella, waterproof backpack covering and/or raincoat or at least water resistant jacket *is*a*must* when travelling to Manila * If your phone doesn't support IP68, your choices either buy a waterproof case or suffer in silence, you have been *warned* Overall, this is a solid pick for anyone who just needs a clean, cool, comfortable place to sleep without unnecessary frills. I’d happily book again for quick trips around BGC.
Good, clean for short stay
I had a nice stay
No frontdesk personnel answering phone after 6pm??? What if the guest has an urgent need to call you??? And the adjacent room is noisy...
Clean but only two pillow for king bed
Affordable. But there is no function room, no dining room, no breakfast. No AC in the elevators and hallways. I guess they put all of it in the lobby (it was cold). It is located near to almost everything. McDonald's, Starbucks, church is just across the street. Grocery/mall (Landers) is just a block or 2 away. They don't provide any information about tours. Their ride is from a third party.
Hotel is cleaned Rooms are small but have everything you need No breakfast When you you cant cancel
It was dirty, we arrived and on the way to our room there was trash all in the hallway. Then got to our room and found hair everywhere. I was thinking ok this is what you get for cheap but moved the sheets and it was obvious that they never changed the sheets. Someone just slept in that bed. We decided to lose our money and checked out.
Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Room was clean with comfy bed
Good area, clean and friendly staff. We stayed a couple of times here before and after island hopping. My only complaint is that during our first stay the shower soap was empty and we asked them 3 times to fill it over 2 days and no one did it. We eventually asked the cleaning staff to do it on the hallway.
I like the location, a few steps to church and fast food chains, bell boy are very polite and attentive , the smile of people from the reception area couldn’t miss at all that really shining.
love the place
Friendly staff. We stayed almost a month and no complains.
Happy with my stay at the hotel
👍
Great hotel stayed 3 months joyful staff ,attentive great options around for dining and shopping.
Very good service
The staff always smile, property is clean, its accessible to everything. I am sure, I am coming back.
For the price point this hotel is a gem. If you like to stay in BGC without breaking the bank then this hotel is for you. It's is in the edge part of BGC though. A block away from the not so developed area. It's probably why it's cheaper. The staff treatment is like a 5 star hotel. All smiles, opens the door for you, meets your taxi and helps with luggage kind of stuff. I initially had a room without a view and asked the front desk kindly to move me if possible and they were so accommodating, they did move me. It's modern and clean without frills. I would compare it to the affordable chain hotels in Japan like APA but bigger in size and the bathrooms are not modular. And they don't come with toiletry kit, you have to buy them for 45pesos. It does have built in soap in a dispenser in the shower and sink area. There's a 7 eleven, Starbucks outside and a cafe downstairs. I just wish it was closer to High Street or Burgos, but other than that this is a great choice.
Great stay
I would have given a perfect score if the air conditioning system is better/cooler. Short & sweet stay. Walking distance to Xylo and other amenities. Clean,. staff are friendly.
First time to stay at a Red Planet and I learned that They don’t accept walk-ins. Rates are based on occupancy surges. Telephone located near elevator - had to change sheets upon arrival due to stain issues but was quickly resolved. Easily asked for extra pillows at no extra charge. Also asked for late checkout- was given an extra hour for free. Rooms were bare minimum. A chair, tv, ac, bed, shower with 3-in-1 shampoo pump, kettle with 2 mugs, 4pc hangers on wall to hang whatever- no closet and refrigerator. Very nice location (not central BGC but about 4 blocks from mega world mall) for it’s price- nearby McDonald’s, Burger King, Dunkin’ Donuts, a cafe, atm machines, grab food locker on-site. Lots of available parking slots! Friendly and helpful staff.
Great stay in BGC
Property is simple, clean and friendly. It is for those who are minimal accommodationsNo frills . Staff is very professional and friendly. In nice quiet surroundings. Walkable to 9th street. 9th street remind me a bit of the vegas strip. Lots of shops and restaurants
Place was minimalist, clean, great location at BGC. No hand soap, no cable or on-air tv, un-air-conditioned hallways...perhaps their way of being eco.
the area itself and the staffs
Perfect location, walkable to BGC area and food locations, very clean
The hotel itself is pretty new and I’d say the best part is the staff, extremely polite, helpful and efficient always, my only critic are the size of the rooms because I wish they’d be a bit bigger but to me honest with e the price point and location I guess i really can’t ask for much more, the location of this hotel I say is also another strong asset, nested in the heart of BGC it is within walk distance to 3 malls, restaurants and parks, access to the airport is also very easy but take always traffic into account
The hotel is clean and the lobby smells so good. The room is just enough for two. i just wish they provide two card keys
New and location is perfect.
Red planet is clean and is in very good location. Ricci from the front desk is excellent
The hotel was located near great establishment, walking distance to Uptown mall and easy to get everything we need. My parents had an awesome stay since the hotel was so clean. Everybody's friendly and accommodating, from the all smiling guards, the fresh people from the conceirge, cleaners and up to their nice management.
Love this hotel!

Great for one night stay. The check in process could've been a bit better. I was waiting for a good 20 minutes to get my key. It would also be good if there was a water dispenser on each level so you didn't have to always go to reception to fill up water. But great amenities around the area.
Excellent Customer Service. Convenient and safe storage facilities. Great staff, so proud! Thank you all for our wonderful stay!
Rooms are small and tv dont work
very nice, clean hotel, convenient ,walkable to good eating places, convenient store, friendly, helpful staff, close to first class mall, easy to get transportation.
The room was small but it's clean. The other thing is, you can hear the voices and any sound from your neighboring room. Other than that, staff are friendly. The location is convenient to the mall and other food stores.
Perfectly fine place to stay but I wanted to be closer to the heart of BGC and this is closer to the outer edges of it. There’s plenty of staff but some not that friendly. Three elevators but one isn’t working so on busy hours, getting an elevator takes a while. You have to go through seven floors of parking space before you get to the rooms so it’s not like I can quickly walk down to the lobby instead. If those don’t bother you, the hotel is great. The location itself is okay. There are restaurants everywhere, it’s close to a mall, parking spaces are fine.
1. The room is small and clean. 2. The towels are quite old and used. 3. The walls are thin so you can hear people outside and in rooms next door. 4. Worst experience is that housekeeping people would stay/hang-out in some rooms that are unoccupied. I've seen them actually coming out of rooms even when not cleaning. I suppose this is because there's no CCTV in the hallway. I could hear them talking and the chairs scraping the floor all the time. I thought at first that the noise was from other hotel occupants but I repeatedly saw and heard them around even at night. What a unique experience.
Been to other Red Planet branches in the country and outside the country. The service is consistent, very hospitable and good customer service. All the staff are very nice, the rooms are always clean, great value for money and highly recommended for budget travelers. The location is very good too.
Staff accomodating
Very efficient hotel with free parking and clean rooms. Worked for our short stay.
W
It is a good hotel but rooms are very small.
I like that I got it for a very affordable rate. The room is fairly clean. Except that the sheets smelled musty like it wasn’t dried properly. The room is small, good enough for just a place to sleep for a night or layover.
Need wash rags Rooms too small
Accessible to amenities and clean..
Walking distance to a lot of things. Very convenient. Staff was also wonderful. Would stay again!
Great layover hotel option!
VERY DISAPPOINTING, I booked for 5 days and left after day 1. I complained to Expedia but hotel management refused to give me a refund. Issues: 1. Front Desk receptionist was very distracted & inattentive. She kept chatting with her co-worker and not focused on my check-in process. I arrived early and asked to be registered early and leave my luggages. The receptionist quickly interrupted me and stated very irately at least 3x that there are no rooms and check-in is not until 3PM. I explained that I was asking if I can be registered and leave my luggages until 3PM. Very unprofessional. 2. Room has no phone. If you need call them, you need to walk to the elevator to use the phone; imagine during emergencies. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. 3. Room is very small. I have 2 luggages I have to put on the bed (very unsanitary) because room is too small. 4. AC is faintly blowing cool air. I lay at the foot of the bed where the faint AC is blowing. The lobby is very comfortable, it is very deceptive --> wait until you get into your room. I stayed at the lobby most of the night because room is just not tolerable. 5. Bed sheets and towels are worn out and need replacement. Only provided two towels: floor towel and bath towel. 6. I was deceived by the excellent rating on their front webpage. Digging deeper, there were TONS of negative reviews. Hotel very defensive stating that they are a budget hotel. I did not see a notice on their webpage that they are a budget hotel. DECEPTIVE AD?
Hotel is centrally situated in GBC. The universal spirit of Filipino hospitality and warm smiles are truly palpable. It was a great stay.
for the location and price it was simple, clean, friendly, and I would definately come back very satisfied
Room was very tight.
Its good
Amazing staff! Great value for the money
This hotel gave the illusion online of being of a class that fits in among the other hotels located in that area. In reality, it fell far short of my expectations for the following reasons: - Very small room - TV doesn’t work. Will only allow you to mirror from your phone. - No face towels or no hand towels. - No phone in room. So I can’t call down to the front desk. - In order to have your room cleansed, you have to walk down to the front desk and request it. - There are 3 elevators, but only 2 work. And they move very slow. - No closet - No lotions - No breakfast (or food at all for that matter) - 11th floor hallway looked dirty.
I like that it was in the nice and clean part of town. There is a 7-11 and Starbucks across the street. I like that I had access to cable TV. The AC was cold. The bed is big. I like the desk and chair because I was able to do some work. I like the waterfall shower and a regular sized shower and I liked the glass divider instead of a shower curtain. The elevator was acting up a bit. It would pass our floor even when we pressed the button. I wish they had coffee and condiments; all they had was a hot pot but no coffee. There is a small refrigerator and safe.
Room was rather small, but it was clean and priced great for what was offered, no complaints other then size
May be the most inexpensive but actually one of the best places to stay at in BGC area
Accessibility and the staff are nice
Great affordable hotel in a good neighbourhood. Quiet in the evenings for Manila. Convenient. Helpful staff. I look forward to returning.
Some what close to everything. Price is ok
Location
Super clean, very comfortable, well designed hotel in a convenient location at a great price.
good
cleanliness
When I arrived, there was only one person at the reception, and it took 40 minutes just to check in! The room was ridiculously small—no space to open my suitcase, and I could barely move around. The bathroom was so cramped I couldn’t even close the door properly. There were flies in the room, no slippers for the bathroom and no water offered. It felt like they put zero effort into basic hospitality. The experience was so bad it made me want to leave early, but they wouldn’t let me leave or refund the nights I didn’t use. All they cared about was keeping my money. I ended up leaving anyway and losing my money because I just couldn’t stand staying there any longer. I tried contacting management so many times over the days I was there but they never respond. They just take the money and be quiet. The useless reception couldn't do anything and told me to contact management who never respond. To make it worse, when I was checking out (with a taxi waiting!), they wouldn’t let me leave until they inspected the room. Meanwhile, I saw other people just hand in their key cards and go. It felt like discrimination because I’m not Filipino.
Felt like many hotels in Japan.
"No-frills" hotel, perfect for those who don't mind skipping the extras. If you’re the type who loves amenities, this is not your place. The rooms are so small that even the twin room feels like a game of Tetris with your luggage. And forget about doing yoga in there; there’s barely space to stretch your arms, let alone your suitcase. The toiletries are as basic as they get. The shampoo is a 3-in-1 concoction that might leave your skin itching if you’re not used to it (I wasn't). For anyone who’s accustomed to separate shampoo and conditioner, my advice is simple—bring your own. Your skin will thank you later. As for the bathroom design, let’s say it’s a bit of a head-scratcher. Half of the shower stall is covered in glass, but the other half? Nope. So, water splashes all over the floor, and you’ll end up with a soggy towel in the bathroom. If the cleaners don’t make it to your room (which can happen), you’re stuck with the wet towel until they do—just something to keep in mind if you’re not a fan of damp surprises. But hey, it's not all doom and gloom! The hotel’s location is stellar. You’re just a short walk from the mall, High Street, and many fantastic breakfast spots. So, if you’re a foodie or a shopper, you’re in luck. The hotel security guards deserve a special mention—always smiling, always greeting you.
This time my stay was not as good as last time. It was late check in and my beddings and towels have marks or stains. I will still stay though as it’s reasonably priced given it’s in BGC.
It’s close to up town mall eating place
Reasonable rate although it is not at the heart of BGC
The service and view plus convenient city location
The staff made the whole stay worth every penny. The hotel was clean and the entire staff made me feel at home. They also remembered my name within the first couple of days of my visit. They also helped me with choices of restaurants, transportation and local places to visit during my stay.
I was disappointed in the check-in process and the amount of time that I had to wait.
Reasonable & fair price for a modern facility
If you are food fanatics, you will enjoy this place.. So much to do and see. You can always grab a cab if you need to go somewhere. Make sure to upload grab ( white color) app. You can order/ delivered food if you don't feel like going out. Staff are very helpful and nice.
The receptionist and all the staff down stairs were amazing!!!
Great stay
Three nights stay; no cleaning, no waste can even request had been made. Not really clean.
Front door staff were so friendly and helpful..made getting into the building easy. Front desk were helpful too. Cleaning staff always provides towels immediately they were amazing. Please pay all these staff more money! They were excellence communicative and helpful! I will be back!
Affordable and good location
Excellent staff!!!
Felt like it was more of a hostile than a hotel. Rooms very small and amenities nonexistent. Into watch tv at night, one needed to care video from handheld devices. Housekeeping was by request, but they don’t tell you that upon check in. Left 5 days before my check out date. Although the staff were fine, knowledge was limited as I suspect they don’t have the experience. But one can’t fault them for it. Nice group of people overall.
Nice property in a very nice area of BGC
Easy check in. Water fountain available at the lobby. Everything is nearby.
Property conditions & area was fantastic as it was perfectly located. Only con - took nearly an hour to check in and 30 mins to check out as it was very busy. There needs to be more than 2 staff on the front desk at peak times.
It’s a good enough place to stay.
