I love this hotel. They have managed a perfect balance of old world elegance with a hint of modernity, without the usual snobbishness that accompanies a well established institution such as theirs. We had room 211 which had a gorgeous view of the sea (out the first balcony especially), was quiet l, cool and calm. The pool and spa are small but perfectly formed, and the connection to the courtyard garden from the pool was a nice touch. The bathrooms have Guerlain toiletries which smell absolutely lovely. The hotel were also attentive to our request for two duvets and arranged this with no issues, and took great care of our car when taking it away for overnight parking.

It was a little disappointing that our room was not ready at the proscribed checkin time of 3pm; and we needed to wait on the terrace while it was made ready. This is understandable, given it was mid August and one of the busiest days of the year, but i would have expected to be offered a drink on the house for even a minor delay in such a quality hotel, and this was not offered.

This is a high quality hotel with excellently trained staff who collectively enhance your stay. The bedrooms are very comfortable and ensure a good night’s sleep.

The hotel has a beautiful garden terrace on the first floor providing an oasis of calm for residents, rather incongruously on every Friday evening they employ a DJ to operate a loud disco more akin to Ibiza than a classy 5 star hotel?!

2 réceptionnistes femme moyennement aimables (sèches) . Chambres non faites à 14 heures 30. Éclats dans la peinture de la salle de bains, intérieur de certains placards …deco tristoune.

This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel - the facilities are pristine, the location is perfect and the rooms are generous and quiet.

My only criticism is that they made a terrible first impression when we arrived—admittedly, on one of the busiest afternoons of the year. We arrived an hour or so before the official check-in time after a very long and strenuous cross-country car journey and, quite understandably, our room was not yet ready and we were asked to return in an hour; we were happy to do so. On our return to the hotel at the official check-in time, the room was still not ready, which I can, again, understand given how busy the hotel was. However, the team really dropped the ball at this point, as we were then left hanging around in a very uncomfortable limbo for the next hour and a half without being offered any refreshments or use of the facilities to freshen up while the room was being prepared. Mistakes do happen and things can be overlooked but the Barriere holds itself out as a cut above the rest, so I would have expected them to take better care of all their guests, even when under pressure. This introduction was very disappointing and coloured the rest of our short stay in Dinard.

La chambre était spacieuse, parfaitement propre et très bien insonorisée. Le personnel s’est montré accueillant, attentif et souriant à chaque instant, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus agréable. Le petit-déjeuner, varié et de grande qualité, mérite une mention spéciale.

The hotel is well appointed and located with great views. The swimming pool and spa was perfect as you could use it at any time with children. The restaurant and bars were superb also.

Tout était parfait . Seul regret : l'impossibilité de dîner sur la terrasse qui surplombe la mer . Dommage de dîner dans la salle de restaurant alors que la température permettait de profiter de la terrasse et de sa vue sur la mer.

Un accueil exceptionnel, personnalisé, bienveillant et prévenant dans un écrin splendide, face a la mer et à St Malo. Un hôtel adapté aux familles qui propose absolument tout ce dont on a besoin : piscine et spa luxueux, club enfant, bar avec vue et services à tout heure. Les chambres proposent tout le confort nécessaire et sont très agréables et spacieuses et avec vue.

We keep coming back to this hotel, it's pure old school charm and the rooms are perfect, most comfortable beds and so many beautiful amenities, the balcony with chairs ensures you have a beautiful view of the gardens and sea. Cocktails are fantastic and restaurant is also excellent! Spa is also fantastic.

Definitiv DAS Hotel im Ort! Wir haben wunderbar geschlafen, super ruhig (auch dank der zweiten Tür (zum Schlafzimmer), tolle Betten, geschmeidige Bettwäsche! Turn down Service am Abend, alles ohne dass man etwas davon mitbekommt (wie es sein soll). Lage ist hervorragend! Direkt mit Blick auf das Wasser und in der Nähe der Anlegestelle nach St. Malo oder Dinan, ebenso zur Shoppingstreet und Restaurants. Valetparking ebenfalls verfügbar, für alle, die mit dem Auto anreisen. Jeder spricht sehr gutes Englisch, manche auch deutsch! Jederzeit wieder!

Top hotel. Excellent service. Spacious , tasteful rooms. Worth the money. Reminds me of the five star hotels of the good old days.

My room was modern and very nice. The spa is great! The 333 as well as the main restaurant offer good quality food.

The gym is definitely too small.

A delightful stay in this hotel in Dinard. A short walk from the shops and beach and just above the ferry over to St Malo. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was large with great facilities. Everywhere was very clean. The pool was great. We ate in the restaurant which served superb food with very friendly staff. Would highly recommend this hotel

L’emplacement face à la mer. Le réveil était très agréable comme les chambres sont exposées est. Le personnel est très agréable et souriant! Le petit déjeuner est parfait avec beaucoup de choix. Le lit etait très confortable.

Dommage que les TPE ne prenaient pas les cartes sur téléphone en sans contact. Le restaurant principal est fermé le midi et la carte du bistro est bonne mais assez limitée. La chambre n’était pas bien grande mais très agreable.
