El peor Hostel en cuestión de limpieza que he estado , la cocina compartida daba asco , nadie limpiaba nada y todo estaba sucio y desordenado , nunca quise cocinar allí , mucha gente joven irresponsable y el Hostel tampoco hacía mucho por solucionarlo. Un día vi a la señora de la limpieza firmar en la hoja de limpieza que hay detrás de la puerta del baño como que ya lo había limpiado y no lo limpió . Hostel muy chulo pero jamás volvería ni lo recomendaría por la limpieza

Per la doccia serve il gettone, la struttura è molto grande e ci sono tanti posti letto, quindi nonostante i bagni siano grossi spesso puzzano e sono dovuto andare a chiedere la carta igienica alla reception. Il personale ha talmente tanto da fare che non ti presta molta attenzione e sono tutti un po esauriti, c’è troppo via vai bell’ostello per i miei gusti. La cucina non era il massimo, se prendete un hamburger vi consiglio vivamente di chiederlo se non ben cotto, almeno cotto!! Anche la colazione non mi è piaciuta un granché.

Nach meinem Check-in setzte ich mich zur Entspannung an einen Tisch vor der Rezeption. Kurz darauf wurde ich jedoch aufgeschreckt, als die Chefin ihr Personal lautstark anschrie. Immer wieder – insgesamt mehr als 15 Mal – rief sie: „I'm a professional – this is a professional conversation!“ Dabei schubste sie mehrere Volunteers durch die Tür in den Bereich, in dem ich saß. Aufgrund des Geschreis der Chefin kamen sie nicht zu Wort und Einige von ihnen weinten. Wie sich später herausstellte, hatte sich zuvor eine Freundin der Volunteers verletzt. Die Volunteers wollten sich zu ihr setzen und ihr Beistand leisten, was die Chefin nicht guthieß. Die Reaktion der Chefin empfand ich als derart verstörend, dass ich am liebsten sofort wieder abgereist wäre. Als ich die betreffenden Mitarbeiter später traf, versicherten sie mir jedoch, dass alles OK sei. Da am nächsten Tag meine Reise weiter ging, weis ich nicht, ob dies öfters vorkommt.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026A hostel located along the road leading into Sagres, with a young and very laid-back atmosphere. We arrived before check-in time and were able to leave our luggage at the property while waiting for our room to be ready. We had a private room, which was spacious and comfortable. The welcome amenities are very basic and include towels and a complimentary non-alcoholic fruit drink served at the bar. As with Sagres itself, surfing is a big part of the atmosphere here. The property offers several facilities for surfers, including a coworking area, a surfboard storage area, a station for washing boards, a bicycle maintenance area, and a swimming pool with sun loungers and a ping-pong table. It is also possible to have dinner at the property, although we only stayed for one night and did not have the chance to try it. The property also offers surf lessons and equipment rental. We particularly enjoyed the holiday-resort-style concept, with a different activity every evening, such as karaoke, Burger Night and Game Night. It is a fun idea that creates a very social atmosphere and makes it easy for guests to meet each other. Breakfast, however, was the weak point of our stay. There was not much choice and the presentation was not particularly appealing. This was definitely the only significant negative aspect of our experience. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is young, lively and fun. Overall, we had a good stay and would recommend this place especially to solo travellers or groups of friends rather than couples. Pros Young and social atmosphere Great vibe and plenty of activities Very well suited to surfers Swimming pool and good common areas Cons Breakfast could be much better, both in terms of choice and presentation Location Sagres does not really have a traditional town centre, and the main attractions — beaches, the lighthouse and restaurants — are spread throughout the area. Overall, they are all within roughly a 15–20 minute drive.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Avevamo due camere doppie con bagno privato e piccolo frigorifero. Spaziose e comode. Ci siamo fermati 8 notti e sono state pulite a metà settimana con cambio biancheria. Ci é piaciuta anche la colazione. Simpatico il corso di salsa. Comoda la possibilità di cucinare nella cucina condivisa. Molta attenzione per la pulizia dei locali comuni. Atmosfera allegra e rilassata. Clientela giovane e internazionale. Torneremo sicuramente.
Prenotando con booking abbiamo poi acquistato le lezioni di surf a parte per tutta la famigllia, 4 persone . Abbiamo chiesto se ci fossero sconti visto che abbiamo prenotato in tot 10 lezioni e abbiamo soggiornato 8 notti, ma non non ci hanno scontato nemmeno un euro.

Nous avons des allergies alimentaires dans la famille qui n’ont pas bien été considérées par le personnel. Des plats vegan contenaient des produits laitiers et heureusement le pire a été évité grâce à notre vigilance. Le personnel a par la suite fait ce qu’il a pu pour servir un repas ne contenant pas de produits laitiers. Ce message a pour objectif que l’organisation et la communication en interne s’améliore afin d’éviter que cela se reproduise pour d’autres clients. Pour le reste, l’établissement est top et je ne peux que le recommander pour un passage dans la région.

I booked 5 nights but because of their booking error and they asked me to switch rooms after night 1. I thought I would get my new bed at checkout but needed to wait until 4pm. Was inconvenient! Also they messaged me mid stay if I had already left the hostel. Unorganised reception! Facilities not so good!

Había que hacer uso de una moneda para la ducha. Se restringían las duchas por día. El horario del desayuno no estaba acorde con el inicio de las clases de surf. Algunos trabajadores eran poco flexibles y muy rígidos con el horario, el cual el dueño les indicó que si podíamos iniciar el desayuno. La recepción algo mediocre, poca comunicación, que puede dar lugar a malentendidos

Localização fica um pouco fora do centro, embora exista a conveniência de ter um supermercado nas proximidades

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026Het is een heel schoon en netjes hostel en ik was ontzettend blij met mijn kamer en bed. Ook het zwembad was fijn om te hebben. Het ontbijt was prima, basic.
Het feit dat je moet betalen om een yogamatje te gebruiken en dat je muntjes moet gebruiken om te kunnen douchen viel me tegen. Ook het personeel leek niet echt betrokken of geïnteresseerd. Ik miste ook een chille plek om samen te kunnen komen als gasten, waar je gewoon met elkaar kunt hangen. Als ik deze punten vergelijk met een ander hostel waar ik ben geweest in Sagres, vond ik het qua prijs eigenlijk niet in verhouding.

The hostel layout felt a bit weird. Reception, dorm rooms and showers all in different directions. Orientation involved a lot of walking. It's a pity the pool is not heated - no use in April.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026When the automatic laundry machine turned out not to function, the personnel had my laundry done by housekeeping. This is proof that this company is customer oriented. This was one of the few places on the Fisherman Trail where breakfast was included, and the breakfast was varied and good.

Duschen mit Coins. Selbstversorger Küche erst ab 08:30 geöffnet. Frühstück erst ab 08:45 und sehr spartanisch, minimalstes Angebot.

Não dão alternativa de pequeno almoço para quem faz check-out antes das 8:30 (hora de início do pequeno almoço). Na recepção não falam português.

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026The facilities were clean and comfortable. They seem to have many activities. The location is near a very nice supermarket. The beds were comfortable and provided nice privacy.
I was told to use a token or €1 for ten minutes for a shower. I paid $35 for a bunk bed. I should be able to enjoy a nice shower. 🤔

Chyběla zásuvka v koupelně pro fén nebo jiné věci. Nechtěla jsem rušit ostatní na pokoji. Ale byla možnost nástěnného.

Reviewed May 30, 2026I stayed on night while hiking the Fisherman's Trail. The dorm room was nice. The four bunk room felt spacious and open. Curtains on the bunks provided some nice privacy. The room could have used a couple chairs. Bathrooms were clean and well laid out. Showers are limited to one ten minute per day. A nice crowd of people, mostly surfers. The private rooms are lovely.
There is only one washing machine. It would have been nicer if they had a few more machines as the line to wash was long and there is no system to reserve the machine. I wanted to relax by the pool, but I was waiting for someone else's wash to finish so we could grab the machine.

Reviewed May 30, 2026L'établissement est très sympa dans l'esprit surf. La fréquentation est très jeune. Ideal pour des jeunes qui veulent faire du surf. Le personnel était très agréable. Le petit déjeuner très copieux.
Le bruit est problématique. Le bar sur place est ouvert jusqu'à minuit voir 1h du matin donc impossible de dormir avant entre la musique et les gens qui parlent.

Het huren van een yogamatje was veel gedoe en de keuken voor algemeen gebruik ging pas 08:30 open.

Reviewed May 28, 2026Had a fantastic week at Sagres Sun Stay. A special mention to Miguel, Paco, and especially Ilja for the surf lessons — great teaching, positive energy, and an excellent atmosphere throughout the sessions. The dinner package was also a great surprise, especially the homemade burger, complemented by outstanding service from Galatea. The highlight for me was the surfskate initiation with Ilja. Although it was arranged separately and not part of the original package, it turned out to be an excellent complement to the surf lessons. Practicing carving and surf turns on land was both fun and genuinely helpful for improving surfing technique. This could definitely be a valuable addition to the regular experience at Sagres Sun Stay.

Reviewed May 27, 2026Lo mejor era el personal, joven, simpáticos, con un buen rollo impresionante, parece que no están trabajando si no disfrutando de su trabajo que suele ser difícil. La piscina aunque tenía el suelo un poco fastidiado, cumple. El desayuno simple pero con lo necesario. Hay juegos de mesa y karaoke para entretenerse. La habitación era amplia. Lo único que había bastantes hormigas. Aparcar es fácil y aunque no este en el centro como tal esta a dos pasos.
Lo único a destacar el tema de las hormigas.

Kúpeľňa by sa už potešila renovácii :) ale ja mam dost vysoke kriteria. Rozhodne sa starali o čistotu.

Reviewed May 26, 2026We hadden een fijne tweepersoons kamer met terras. Onze fietsen mochten binnen staan. Er is een fijn zwembad met ligbedden.
We waren er een uur voor de officiële inchecktijd (16.00) en waren nog niet welkom.

Reviewed May 25, 2026Das Frühstück wurde als internationales Buffed angepriesen. Davon lag es meilenweit entfernt z.B. gab es kaum Graubrot und war dementsprechend schnell weg. Danach gab es nichts mehr. Auch alles andere war mittleres Niveau
