Sheikh Mousa Bedouin Camp

Ich bin total begeistert! Super nette, hilfsbereite Menschen, eines der besten Essen, das ich in Ägypten bisher gegessen habe, es war einfach aber unfassbar lecker und super zubereitet! Ein mega netter Koch und eine wirklich schöne Anlage mit viel Platz zum Entspannen und Tee trinken. Ich habe mich schon bei der Kommunikation vorab rundum wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Die Zimmer waren groß und sauber. Die Touren auf den Mosesberg und ins Kloster (Abdallah) und der Transfer (Abdelrahman) von und nach Sharm waren super organisiert, pünktlich, professionell und sehr freundlich. Den unglaublichen Sternenhimmel nachts direkt vor der Zimmertür gibt's einfach so dazu. Wir bedanken uns bei allen sehr für diese wirklich schöne Zeit!

Fällt mir wirklich nichts ein. Wer ein fünf-Sterne all-in Resort mit Büffet und Pool erwartet, ist hier allerdings wahrscheinlich nicht richtig.

If there is an opportunity, it is better, of course, to settle somewhere better. Here you will find unsanitary conditions in the toilets (by the way, the water is very bad, it is better to wash with bottled water), in the room itself and in the kitchen (the food is very tasteless, we did not eat breakfast, it was disgusting (((dishes dirty). There's a stained bed in the room itself. We are disappointed.

I was so happy to come back to Sheikh Mousa Bedouin Camp after several years, and if anything, it was even better than I remembered. Some places change over time, but this one has kept all the warmth, authenticity, and special atmosphere that made me fall in love with it in the first place. The owners and staff are some of the kindest people you'll meet. They make you feel like family and genuinely care about their guests. It's the perfect place to slow down, relax, and experience the real spirit of Saint Catherine. If you're visiting the area, look no further. This is a truly special place, and I already know I'll be back again.

Have to choose the room w bath, others are hot and damp. Beds awesome, great to have running water, fine chill out areas.

The owner was promising to organize a trip to the mountains which unfortunately never materialized. Bit pushy but not unfair, the rest of the staff was kind and accommodating.

La propreté du lieu n'était pas adaptée. Les draps des lits étaient pour enfants et ne faisaient pas la bonne taille pour les lits. Le lieu est très mal indiqué sur le plan, tout le monde ne connaît pas l'emplacement. Enfin, à part la personne qui gère la réception (sûrement le responsable), personne ne parle, ne serait-ce qu'un peu anglais.

The staff were amazing, local food and rooms simple but comfortable. Great backpacking location, good plave to meet people from around the world.

The nice and relaxing atmosphere and kind people. Mohamed helped us organise some really nice trips.

We loved everything about this place. The food was excellent, the staff was very helpful, and the rooms and Bedouin tent were very cute and comfortable. We wish we had more time here.

The room is a little basic but it's expected for a camp. You can't get to the place without a taxi when exiting the public bus.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay at the accommodation, from organising hiking days with a Bedouin guide (including the hike up Mount Sinai, and a fantastic day walk to Jabal Abbas Basha with tea and lunch) to helping me with taxi transport to SES airport.

Lovely place in the mountains. Mohammed, who owns and runs the camp, was super welcoming and explained everything about the camp and the tours. I booked the main hike and a smaller waterfall hike through him, and both were great experiences with great guides. I really enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious and simple, and I was lucky that a room with a bathroom was available, so I upgraded.

The worse food i have eaten in Egypt! With breakfast included, i didn't eat but had 2 nescafe coffees and had to pay them, a first in my life. Shower draining very dirty.

Sehr einfach und rustikal. Dusche nicht nutzbar, da total verkalkt. Bretthartes Bett. Einfaches Frühstück, einfaches Dinner.

Гостеприимный семейный отель. Учитывая труднодоступность места, сотрудники отеля обеспечивают удобный трансфер. Отель расширяется, модернизируется. Есть бесплатный Wi-Fi. Много туристов из разных стран, в том числе из России. Сотрудники отеля помогают с организацией походов по горам и поиском гида. Отдельное Спасибо управляющему mr. Mohamed и гиду-проводнику mr. Shabaan.

Сотрудники отеля пока ещё не говорят по русски, при том, что русских туристов очень много.

Bienvenue chez les bédouins ! Ils sont partout et très sympathiques. Dépaysement garantie. Aucun problème d’insécurité, tout le monde se connaît dans la vallée. Sentiers de randonnée à proximité du camp.

Le prix des excursions a fortement augmenté. Obligations de partir avec un guide dans les montagnes ( obligations mise en place par le gouvernement et la police ). On ne comprend pas pourquoi certains chemin de randonnée sont fermés par la police.

All staff takes care so that the camp facility is in excellent condition. The breakfast and the afternoon meal were excellent. The room was spacy and tidy. Usually at the evening the seating room is an excellent choice with tea offered next to the fire.

Die Lage und die Menschen mit denen man dort zusammenkommt. Sie haben sehr flexibel reagiert bei einer Änderung zur Wanderung auf den Mount Sinai. Sehr hilfsbereit und nette Atmosphäre.

Vegetarisches Abendessen war etwas lieblos und wenig von der Menge da einfach das Fleischgericht weg gelassen wurde.

Le personnel est chaleureux et accueillant. La chambre est correcte et simple, ce qui est très bien pour un camp. Le petit-déjeuner est typiquement égyptien. Très bonne expérience, je recommande.

Le charme du camp était top ! Il y a beaucoup de lieux de convivialité permettant d'échanger et de faire de belles rencontres avec d'autres voyageurs. Les repas servis étaient très bons.

Nous avons séjourné ici en dernière minute, nous avons bien été accueilli. Le déjeuner était en extra, 5$ par personne et pourtant il n'y avait rien d'exceptionnel un peu de frites un peu de thon, pommes orange .. en réalité ce n' est pas vraiment un déjeuner.. c'est dommage ! Le petit déjeuner le matin est inclu c'est sympa

Logement simple mais propre, situé tout près du monastère, ce qui permet vraiment de découvrir la région. Mohamad et Fauzi ont été d’une grande gentillesse et efficacité pour nous aider à réussir notre séjour. Nous avons passé 3 nuits sur place (avec chaque soir retrouvailles autour du feu dans un salon bédouin protégé du vent) : monastère et ascension du mont Sinaï le premier jour, balade dans un wadi et les vergers du monastère le 2eme jour et retour à Dahab en jeep, en se promenant dans les canyons Zigzague, Blanc et Coloré le 3eme jour. Cuisine savoureuse et copieuse. Que des bons souvenirs, je recommande vivement !

Robinetterie fatiguée - du mouvement pendant la nuit notamment des chiens, qui nous ont réveillés.

La movilidad que contrataron para regresar a El Cairo. Muy incómoda.

Merci Saleh, Moussa, Fares, Mr le cuisinier dont je ne veux pas déformer le nom et bien d'autres qui ont essayé de rendre notre séjour au mieux. Ce séjour dans les montagnes égyptiennes étaient au top et vaut le détour.

In most places in Egypt I did not feel safe, but my experience here was different. Mohamed introduced me to his family, I met his sisters, they offered me tea and food. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and comfortable, they always treated me like family. Prices are high (especially for taxi and guide) but this is normal if you travel alone. Before coming it is a good idea to call the property and ask if there are other guests, so you can share costs. For two or three people it will be more reasonable. As a tourist in Egypt you always pay more, but you should not focus on that. Because anywhere in the world it is rare to find such warm, welcoming and trustworthy people. I felt very good here and I am grateful for everything.

Location was amazing

Not much hot water in the shower for 3 people. Also from uk transfers cost £50 1 WAY .i get that drivers dont know exact location but there is no signs or post to let you know. Also if driver does call staff little annoyed. But prices from the camp is $90 which is much much more for 1 way. If it was little cheaper you would use the camp transfers.

Shower was not good . Needs fixing. After a long day you need a good shower. Balcony furniture is bad, no kettle in the room. Can be hot in the summer.

Holy Land of Sinai, St.Catherine and the best place to stay is definitely Bedouin Camp! Staff. The quarters (living). The camp itself - the design - architecture - set up. The spacious relaxing open area to chill in a traditional Bedouin atmosphere. The general location. The staff! Helpful, positive, genuine and caring. So many little favours they did whilst I was there they’re uncountable. Mohammad (the owner) made me feel at home from the first phone call once I landed, arranged the transport from sharm-el-sheikh (2.5 hours!) at last notice and back - and got me set up nicely. 10/10 would stay again - and met some lovely people along the way

Little I didn’t like - just remember there’s a charge for the coffees which were hidden until payment.

A well informed welcome to St Catherines with well-thought out trips and tours around the area. It was a quiet and peaceful place with plently of communal areas for guests to relax in the outdoors. The trips and tours were well times and at a reasonable price! Thank you!

Well located. Full of character. Family business. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is traditional and good quality. Their hospitality is outstanding.

The location was really good for hikes. Booked for 5 nights and enjoyed the surrounding while meeting fellow travelers.

It's not very hygienic, the blankets, the bed, all look and smell dusty. Frequent problem with water in the bathroom. Also one time I woke up with a huge black bug next to my pillow, scared the hell out of me.

Excellent location for exploring Saint Catherine Monastery and Mount Sinai. Staff make you feel like family. Hearty homemade breakfast and dinner. Staff help to organise guide to climb Mount Sinai and any other excursions. Warm and cosy environment and overall lovely hotel for the price

- Cleanliness of bathroom could be better, and maybe more amenities (shower towel , soap) - i would suggest to maybe set a quiet time in the afternoon/evening where everybody (including staff) would go on quietly and not be loud, to allow guests seeking some peaceful time on the outdoor settings to have it :)

The place is very nice, with comfortable room, good space outside to sit and chill with amazing views. The food is great, with options for all meals. The staff is very kind and helpful, they help me with everything, as solo traveler I felt very safe. Since there is no ride by apps, they arrange all the transportation. It was a beautiful experience, the place is surrounded by mountains, with a lot of hiking options.

Seriously the best experience! Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I felt like they were very helpful and not trying to scam us. Our room was Very clean! The Food was delicious! The views are insane! The Tours were very organized and put together. Overall 10/10 experience definitely recommend staying here!!

Great people that help you organize everything, including tours and a bus to Cairo! In general the place feels cozy and you get a nice experience with the local beduins. The rooms have heaters - a must for freezing cold nights! I would stay again here. Rather in warmer months though 🙂

The location was stunningly beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The staff were attentive and it was ideally placed for trekking.
