This facility was great! The history is well preserved and beautiful still! The staff were all wonderful and very accommodating with every aspect!
location great! whiskey tasting in lobby and cruise room are great! clean rooms, albeit older but charming
step up into bathroom, no fan or window in bathroom.
Being greeted by amazing valet. The beautiful atmosphere and room. Location couldn’t be better.
Rude front desk hosts, checking then checking out. Triple charged for my room with zero responsibility on their end. Zero compensation. Breakfast is samples of what breakfast should be.
Beautiful historic hotel
Nothing
great staff, great location, great breakfast.
It was beautiful and clean. They provided free drinking water and discounts to shops in town. Breakfast was good and light. It was quiet and the location was very convenient.
There was no safety deposit box in the room. The doors were not so easy to lock and open. Seating at breakfast should be made more comfortable.
Emplacement et le côté historique de l hôtel . Très loin des hôtels de chaînes
Le petit déjeuner est servi dans le lobby était par contre insuffisant
The property is beautiful and historic. It feels like you’re right in the gilded age. The spa is very nice too and the clawfoot tub was lovely. It’s a great location. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating and saved the day when I booked the corner room only to find that because of the additional windows and proximity to the bars / clubs below that it was very loud. I can’t recall her name, which I regret because she was so kind and helpful, but she managed to switch me to a different, much quieter room that still had the tub for me to enjoy.
If you’re a light sleeper like me, the corner rooms might want to be avoided. As a historic hotel the soundproofing is limited so it’s good to keep in mind. The only other thing I wouldn’t say I didn’t like, but was a bit disappointing for such a nice hotel is they only have a continental breakfast included. It was very tasty but there’s just something about having a full breakfast that’s special and would make it close to perfect.
Beautiful, clean, convenient. The front desk and valet service were excellent
Nothing
The history of it.
The step up to the bathroom wasn’t easy for my mother.
Great location close to the wonderful breakfast options at, surprisingly, the train station. Roomy bathroom with good shower.
It's one thing to preserve ah historical property and respect its "good bones". We found the huge, dark furniture pieces oppressive and the sole bedroom window looking out onto essentially a shaft or alleyway gave the room an overall gloomy feeling. I was especially disappointed as I asked for a bright room. Mix it up! Make it fresh and welcoming. You don't have to be a slave to w/w carpeting and dark period furnishings. Use a little imagination and aesthetic options.
Gorgeous building
We used the train to get to and from airport, so location was great. Also close to shuttle pick up for Red Rocks.
Beautiful building—meticulously restored yet with modern creature comforts
From the moment we arrived, The Oxford Hotel exceeded every expectation. The architecture alone is breathtaking, a rare blend of historic character and modern refinement that makes you feel you've stepped somewhere truly special. Every detail has been thoughtfully preserved and elevated. The location could not be more perfect for experiencing everything downtown Denver has to offer, with the best of the city right at your doorstep. But what left the deepest impression was the staff. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel welcomed and valued at every turn. This is, without exaggeration, one of the finest hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The Oxford has set a new standard for what we now hope to find in every future stay. We are so grateful for the wonderful experience and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Hotel has a lot of character, great decor. Great location, easy access from Union Station (making trip from DIA super easy). A/C in the room did not work well. Sink very small in bathroom. Breakfast was pretty thin.
Great staycation! The room was very comfortable. The bed was so nice, and the bathroom and personal amenities were a great addition. Enjoyed the bourbon tasting with local distilleries. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with a lot of choices including a delicious gluten free pastry. It was also fun to sit in this historic place. Easy walk to many places downtown - food, bars and shopping
We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff- from the valets to the front desk. The building is gorgeous and historic. The location is excellent. We appreciated the free bourbon tasting n the evening and delicious breakfast is the morning. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. The attached restaurant was superb. We would definitely stay there again!
Flew in for a 3 day Red Rock Amphitheater trip. Oxford was obviously the best choice. Amenities were very nice, staff was pleasant and very efficient. Room was clean and we enjoyed the history of the building. Most importantly, the bed was very comfortable and provided a perfect restful night after an epic experience at the venue. Thank you!
Everything was perfect no issues at all I would stay here again it’s very quaint I really enjoyed the daily whiskey tastings. The hotel bar was great has a speakeasy/prohibition era vibe we stopped in every night we came back. It’s also a short walk to Coors field and Union station.
Danny, Toby and Jennifer were excellent with valet and bell desk services. Danny gave a great hotel micro hotel history, while bringing our substantial luggage’s up to room 205. Toby, a true professional, immediately welcomed and made us feel like royalty. He even offered a photo moment of my wife and I with Union Station as a backdrop. On checkout morning, Jennifer was graceful and managed our early morning departure well, in spite of being in the weeds supporting multiple other checkouts and ringing phones. She deserves a gold medal for balancing so many responsibilities on her own, so early in the day. Loved seeing the local mini bar offerings, even though we didn’t partake in them. The bagel chip lox spread during the lobby breakfast offering was a great touch, too. Only issue experienced was the in-room phone didn’t work, until we realized a prior guess had unplugged it, probably to charge a personal device A-plus work Oxford team. Next time we are back in Denver you are a strong contender for our repeat, roadtrip business. Thank you!
Great location. Comfy beds. Great AC.
Breakfast was a lot less than I expected.
I won't stay here again though I go to Denver often. The reason: an irrational reaction to their early check in policy. I turned up at 1:00 PM, not expecting to be let into my room (I was prepared just to drop my bags) but no harm in asking. I was told my room was available but there would be a $50 charge for early check in. Huh? The room was ready. It was going to incur no effort on their part to give me the key. I could understand if I'd called in advance and asked for it. But this was just opportunistic gouging. So much for treating me as a guest; I was just a mark to hit on for revenue. The above was enough to turn me off the place for good. But a few other annoyances would probable have done it. 1) On the second day, the Wifi kept rejecting me and dropping the connection. It kept asking me to consent to the hotel having my data so they could market to me (see screenshot attached). I would decline; my internet connect would drop. I ended up using my phone as a hotspot. It just enforced the sense that I was a mark for their commercial enterprise, and not a guest. 2) Rooms are characterful, which I like. But in my room (300) there was a step up to enter the bathroom. Not something I enjoyed in the dark.
We stayed for my daughters wedding. The ceremony and reception were at The Oxford. The rooms were spacious and the entire staff was exceptional. It was a beautiful experience and we can't thank them enough.
Outstanding property! Among our favorite hotels to stay. The history and charm combined with location make it a perfect choice. The staff are always warm and welcoming - several who have been with the hotel for many years. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. Plus, a bourbon tasting each evening is a nice touch. Highly recommended.
The Oxford Hotel has a lot going for it. The location is convenient, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the included perks, like the bourbon tasting, were a nice touch that made the stay feel a little more special. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the noise and the surrounding area. The windows don’t seem to seal well, so outside noise comes through very clearly. We were awoken in the middle of the night by extremely loud music that literally shook the room. While still trying to fall asleep, we heard gunshots on the street below, right next to our room. The incident resulted in two people being injured, and while that’s obviously beyond the hotel’s control, the lack of sound insulation made the situation even more unsettling. We had booked the hotel for a romantic getaway, but the constant noise and overnight violence outside made it anything but relaxing. The hotel itself has many positives, but based on our experience, we wouldn’t choose it again for a quiet or romantic stay.
The hotel was very nice. Our room was big and so comfortable. The staff was eager to help in any way and very friendly. The location was absolutely perfect! It is just a few steps from union station with everything at your fingertips. Lots of wonderful eateries in easy walking distance.
Wonderful experience start to finish! Beautiful decor, helpful staff, breakfast was fantastic, I even loved the lotion in the bathroom:). Hope to return again!
A bit on the pricey side, but the staff was friendly and helpful! It was also in a great location. Very close to Union Station.
It was the absolute perfect place to stay for our trip! An elegant atmosphere in the middle of everything. We were across from the Union Station where we met our rides to various activities. The room was beautiful and very clean,! The beds were very comfortable, and the staff were especially accommodating! Can’t wait to go back!
Great stay! Staff was amazing and the location was perfect. Restaurants and activities were nearby, and the hotel shuttle/Lyft partnership made navigation so easy! Highly highly recommend!
Great location and such a wonderful place to stay. The room was clean and the staff amazing!! Loved it!!!
Not a thing!!
Keep your receipts. I was promised that my incorrect charge was taken off at check out only to see that I was charged for the wrong amount. Lost time I don't have disputing the extra charge. Location is great, staff is trying. Hotel is old, has some mystery/musty smells. We go to Denver often, won't stay here again.
Prior to the stay at The Oxford, but well after I made the reservation and backed it up with a credit card, a staff member from the hotel emailed me to say my card wasn’t going through, that I had provided to make the reservation. That email contained a link where I could enter another form of payment to take care of the reservation. I did not try the link. Instead, I called Capital One, to ask why the transaction wasn’t processed when I had a zero balance on that card and my limit was well above the transaction from what The Oxford required from me for payment. The credit card company emphatically stated there was nothing preventing the transaction from going through. And, that nothing had been presented from them in any attempt to gain their deposit for this request. So I contacted The Oxford to report what happened when I put everything together from the call to the credit card company. The staff member at the hotel was curt to begin with, almost incredulous in tone that it could be by any fault of The Oxford, and was happy to end EVERY sentence with a “no problem.” tacked on to ensure I was aware of their intent to inform on the fact they were superior and this was beneath them for having to go through, and why didn’t I just use a card that worked from the start. Incredible. But I continued the call wanting this resolved considering the reservation wasn’t for myself, but, a friend of more than two decades that I was surprising by getting her the Presidential Suite at The Oxford to stay in while she was here visiting. The staff member on the call continued and I provided my American Express card instead, wanting to ensure everything worked out perfectly. We concluded the call by me providing, once more, my friends name that would be staying at the hotel, which wasn’t on the reservation, despite knowing I had initially provided it online, and the staff member again stating “no problem”, at the conclusion of their teaching me I was an idiot who not only must have bad credit, but accentuating I must be an idiot, as well. Call finished. No problem. My biggest concern was ensuring my friend would be taken care of, not someone so rude and unprofessional they didn’t understand the premise of how one should approach adversity while being employed in a service based entity. The day my friend arrives, she enters The Oxford, begins the check in process and the entire thing falls apart, all over again. With none of the information I called in to take care of previously being followed and my friend being made to look like an idiot, too, despite having nothing to do with making the reservation. She was told the MasterCard wouldn’t go through, despite all the time it took along with the admonishment by their staff toward me in straightening out the reservation. I changed it to the American Express. But no one was listening. She was told her name wasn’t on the reservation. It absolutely was. But no one was listening. She was told that she, not the hotel, would have to contact me to iron this out. Everything eventually gets fixed. The card went through. My friend is in the suite I originally reserved. However. The level of lacking professional experience, support and attitude will never get me to ever recommend, let alone stay at The Oxford. I, too, work in a service based industry. I architecturally design and then renovate, as a general contractor, historic buildings and homes, most of which are listed with the National Historic Society. So I travel. A great deal. I work with many people of varied backgrounds and circumstances involving every level of emotion during a grueling process attempting to make something beautiful out of something old and sometimes unfit to occupy. Empathy is crucial. And it really is effortless to project. There is a way to comport oneself in any circumstance, in any industry, when someone reaches out for help and you seem to be the sole holder of the key to making everything okay again. The Oxford is bereft of empathetic staff with anything closer than expertise running a failing Motel 6. A card not being processed correctly on their part. Attitude and unprofessionalism on their part. Lack of communication on their part in providing new information to correct the situation. Unbelievably turning someone away and making them go fix the situation when it was completely a transaction between myself and the hotel. Helping to make my friend feel uncomfortable, checking in at night in a city she doesn’t know, in a place of business that touts itself as premier yet is absent when a customer needed them most. If the utterance “no problem” is the foundational driving principle of what The Oxford stands for, the market will sort them out soon enough. No problem.
The Oxford lived up to its reputation from the building, ambiance, staff, and food. We got a free upgrade and our room was amazing. We loved the food and the 5 o’clock Bourbon tasting led us to purchase a bottle. We will be back and highly recommend.
This hotel was excellent! And the moment we arrived, the valet took our car, and we were greeted at the front desk and checked in where we received a really neat original key for the room. We had a corner room so the windows were incredible. The room was clean, and honestly better than I expected. The vibe of this hotel, elegant nostalgic. Highly recommend
My team stayed here during our company offsite. The vibe is curated and classic, but my room was refinished and modern. All of the staff were extremely friendly, greeting us on departure/arrival. Good gym. Location was perfect for a short visit to Denver, with a ton of food/cafes/activities within walking distance.
Great Old Style Hotel that treats you very well! My only complaint would be the noise from outside the hotel, even at 3:00 AM. Very convenient to Union Station.
Cost very high. Location incredible. "Old-time feel" really good. Enjoyed the continental breakfast and the bourbon tasting. Two ladies on the staff we dealt with most of the time were extremely friendly and very helpful.
You can't beat the location or the friendliness of the staff. Less than a block from Union Station and the 16th street corridor with its free shuttle makes almost everything in Denver close by. Lovely old hotel with many original features. The Oxford has its own style - which we loved.
What a grand atmosphere Beautiful rooms Super breakfast! DoorMen awesome! Front desk Superb! Always feel welcome every time we stay Spotless, so clean! Urban Farmer right there for supper! Spa right there for a little relaxation Baseball a mere few blocks! Everything you need within walking distance Security right there! All is well at the OXFORD INN! Enjoy the experience!~
There is no better location! I found out last minute I would be making the trip solo. The staff at The Oxford made my stay a pleasure, especially the guys at the front door, who set me off in the mornings with a smile and tips for travel. I loved the continental breakfast and coffee. The rooms are small, no view, but classic, clean, and comfortable. The bathrobe is to die for - I want one! The massage at their spa was super convenient after a day of hauling luggage. I don't want to stay anywhere else!
This was our first trip to Denver. The Oxford treatment was first class. Stewart Patton was on top of giving us excellent directions and information about where we were going. We will be back! Lots more to see in the Denver area.
The Oxford is one of my most favorite hotels ever! Everything is perfect from the staff, the rooms, the restaurant, the lounge, and all the different perks. I 100% recommend staying here, you won’t regret it!
The Oxford Hotel was great. Location to the train station and entertainment area was perfect. Room was clean and well stocked with anything I needed. All updated. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Wished I could stay longer.
Hotel is wonderful, located right downtown. We traveled for a concert. Hotel is in walking distance of both Coors Field and Empower Field. Tons of places to eat and shop right out your front door. Hotel staff is awesome, the hotel is old school elegant. Would deff stay here again.
Blasting music from an event inside the hotel. It is currently 9 PM. Our floor is literally vibrating from the music. We have requested a room change and were told this is not possible. We have been informed the music will go till 11 PM tonight. This was not something scheduled when we obtain our room. We will never stay here again. Be aware it could be a nightmare for you as well.
Old, very nice. Great location to catch a train.
I love how old fashioned the hotel was and the use of actual keys. Loved the history of the hotel as well
It’s not really so much the property, just the shady characters around the property.
It was a wonderful stay, the employees are all so professional, friendly and engaging. Thy always genuinely care about the guest needs and it is the best place to stay in Denver hands down. I look forward to it every month. Thank you!
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room. Walkable to many of Denver's attractions...or use their car service in the downtown area. We enjoyed our stay.
Exceptional staff, lovely historic property. Unbeatable Station in downtown Denver, right across from Union Station. Walking distance to Coors field.
Walking distance to coors field, a ton of Breweries and resturants and shops as well as Union Station that took us back and forth to the airport. The complimentary car service and bourbon tasting were an unmatched service that really brought the experience us for us. All the staff was so nice and helpful. The place was clean, quiet, and beautiful and had so much history.
There was nothing to not like. Everything was wonderful.
The hotel is located in a wonderful historic building situated in the old centre of down town. The hotel staff there are outstanding. Unfortunately my wife was taken ill while we were there and the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff who helped me get her to the local hospital was exemplary.
Could not have picked a better place to celebrate my wife and I's 10th year anniversary. Great place, great people, great food, great drinks, and a great time. Lived in Colorado most of my life and this was by far the best hotel I have stayed in. 10/10!!!
This hotel is absolutely stunning. The history alone was great to learn about. It is on the pricier side but the location and complimentary services were too amazing and made it all worth it. The staff was the most friendly I think I've ever interacted with in any hotel. They were kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I don't think I'd stay anywhere else when in Denver.
We went to Denver to go to our very first Rockies game and stayed at The Oxford Hotel. We had stayed once before and both times were amazing. We love the comfy beds, they are like sleeping on a cloud. We especially want to recognize Maggie who took care of our every need and went above and beyond with excellent customer service! The bourbon tasting was one of the highlights and Maggie was so knowledgeable about the different selections. If you are visiting Denver, we highly recommend staying at The Oxford Hotel. Hopefully Maggie will be there to guarantee a wonderful stay. Thank you Maggie!
A wonderful ""old-school hotel with delightful staff (especially the concierges); pacious comfy accommodation; a superb lightish comlimentary breakfast and a real wood fire! Centrally located. Excellent value. Very highly recommended. A real gem.
Great location and fun extras including a nightly bourbon tasting and grab & go breakfast in the lobby. The hotel is very charming/historic and is within walkable distance to many popular downtown Denver attractions. Friendly staff and it's a smaller, boutique hotel which makes it easy to stop back by your room if needed during the day.
The most friendly and pleasant, service-oriented staff I've had the chance to enjoy during a hotel stay. And, the hotel was lovely, quiet, and interesting. I would stay here anytime.
What a spectacular hotel...super comfy rooms, very well appointed, great light. Very friendly staff from the moment you arrive until checking out. Love the overall vibe of the hotel, an understated elegance that is warm and inviting. Cannot wait to go back!
If you love a boutique hotel with a vibe of a bygone era inclusive of a knowledgeable dorman, real keys, and speakeasy - this is your spot! Loved everything about it. Definitely deserves a repeat visit
Great hospitality. Cool, comfy vibe. Nice room. Love the lobby fireplace and morning lox!
Central downtown Denver within walking distance to 100’s of cafes and restaurants. 10 min walk to Coors stadium Close to aquarium and zoo Pet friendly
No free parking No airport shuttle but the train station is a 1 minute walk away that runs straight to airport
Me and wife visited Denver for our anniversary. The hotel was beautiful. Service was unbelievable. Couldn’t recommend it more.
If you are looking for a great place to stay in the heart of Denver, definitely consider The Oxford Hotel. Close to Coors Field for a ball game, the zoo, the aquarium, and many other great places to see and do. You are surrounded by hundreds of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. All open late too for night life people. Hotel is beautiful and concierge is so helpful with directions, rides within a km. Union station can take you straight to & from airport for $10. We will stay here again for sure. Very affordable too.
Perfect location for rail travlers. If you're looking for exceptional accommodations in Denver during x-country travel, this is the spot. You might find a cheaper hotel further out, however, when add the cost of Ubering to a cheaper hotel and back to Union Station, it's no bargin. The Oxford is and will be my go to spot in Denver.
The cutest historic hotel! The staff were beyond attentive and engaging! They also had a free bourbon tasting which was incredible. They do it daily with a rotation! Worth checking out
The ambiance and knowledge we were staying in he oldest hotel in Denver was so cool. The staff from the Doormen to the front desk and room attendants were at the ready to help, answer questions and give suggestions for places to go. This spot in LoDo is the perfect jumping off point for all things downtown Denver has to offer. The breakfast and Bourbon tasting were truly icing on the cake!

What a perfect central jumping off spot for our trip to Denver! Walking distance to all of the stadiums, the Arts District, Civic Center and all things LoDo! The room was clean and lovely. The shower had great water pressure too. Breakfast and the Bourbon tasting were truly icing on the cake. The entire staff was willing to take time to answer questions about the history of the hotel as well as gave suggestions for amazing food and play options close by.
I recently stayed at The Oxford Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The front desk staff were consistently friendly and responsive, and they truly went the extra mile. One evening when I returned to the hotel, it was unusually cold. I sat down in the lobby to warm up, and the front desk attendant noticed and offered to check whether they could light a fire—even though fires are typically only made on weekends. He received approval and soon had a beautiful fire going. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the lobby feel especially welcoming. I had read some reviews mentioning concerns about breakfast, but I found it perfectly adequate—especially considering the hotel doesn’t have a full kitchen. There were fresh hard-boiled eggs, crispy bagels with lox, fresh fruit, yogurt, assorted danishes, and coffee. While the coffee was on the weaker side, there is a coffee shop right next door, which makes it easy to grab a stronger cup if that’s your preference. The room itself was beautiful and surprisingly spacious for an older hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was gorgeous. Another highlight was having access to a full gym, which was a real treat and something I greatly appreciated during my stay. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again. The combination of warm service, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful touches made this a memorable visit.
Great location, great style. Friendly staff, continental breakfast was good stuff (not the usual bread and breading). This was repeat visit and Oxford continues to deliver over the decades we/I have been visiting. Thx
This hotel is beautiful and the service is outstanding! This was our first stay at the Oxford and it will not be our last. The hotel itself and the rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. The Cruise Room and Urban Farmer restaurant are fantastic venues - especially the wonderfully creative cocktails. Bailey at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. His hospitality, professionalism, and small gestures of personalization for our stay really made us feel special and taken care of. His kindness made our stay!
I randomly chose this hotel for a work trip and it was an amazing choice! It’s so cute and the staff is incredibly nice. Bailey at front desk was super helpful, energetic, and just a fun chat :) the location is also so good, lots of nearby spots to check out.
Location was great as it is near the train station. AC was poor and did not work one of our nights. We were hot at night. And, they seem to turn the thermostat to 72 at midnight. No one serviced our room. Don't waste your time with the European breakfast. Stale pastries. Coffee is so light that it is more like water than coffee.
It’s was beautiful and everyone was so friendly
My room. My view was a brick wall
Really enjoyed our stay at The Oxford Hotel. The attention to detail was noticeable and very much appreciated. Every staff member we encountered was helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind. The property itself is charming, vintage, and beautiful — it feels like stepping back in time in the best way. I especially loved that they still use real keys for the rooms, which added to the historic feel. My only small complaint would be that the sheets were a bit crunchy and not the most comfortable for me, but that’s obviously a personal preference. Overall, we loved it and will definitely stay there again.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at The Oxford Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the team was exceptional, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are beautiful, impeccably clean, and incredibly spacious, striking the perfect balance between comfort and classic style. One of our favorite touches was the complimentary European breakfast. It is outstanding and a great way to start the day. Do not miss bourbon hour, which adds a unique and memorable element to the experience. If you are there on a Tuesday, be sure to stop by the lobby. Amando offers complimentary shoe shines, which is such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. The location in LoDo is ideal, just a short walk from the train station and surrounded by everything downtown has to offer. Simply put, I will not stay anywhere else when I am in downtown Denver.
I like the design and aesthetic of the hotel. The staff was absolutely amazing.

Not much , not the cheapest but excellent
Beautiful old hotel. Great location! Room as great.
Pillows were all too big. Nothing smaller.
This was my first day at the Oxford Hotel, but won’t be my last. I was very impressed with the service at the hotel, from the doorman to the front desk clerks to the housekeepers. The hotel itself was lovely and reflects the long history the hotel has been in existence. The historic details have been well preserved.
