Reviewed Sep 15, 2026The hotel was perfect for what we needed whilst on our motorcycle tour , parking was opposite hotel which is based in a very quiet peaceful area , hotel room was clean and pleasant plenty of room with a great view from window , beds were extremley comfortable perfect for relaxing after a full day riding the passes around switzerland , shared bathroom down the hallway , wasnt a problem for us , when we were looking for a hotel quite alot seem to be like that in the area , staff were amazing and very helpful , evening food was delicious and washed down lovely with a few beers ,
To improve the hotel for us and possibly others is if there was a kettle in the room , that would make it perfect , nothing better than a brew before bed lol . breakfast choice was small and basic

Pokój bardzo mały. Dostaliśmy pokój z przeszklonymi drzwiami. Za każdym razem, kiedy ktoś przechodził korytarzem w pokoju robiło się jasno. W nocy to przeszkadza.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Wir waren als Motorrad-Gruppe aus Österreich mit 6 Motorrädern auf einer Alpentour durch die Schweiz, Frankreich und Italien. Haben an diesen 10 Tagen immer woanders übernachtet. Sind wegen einem Unfall auf der Strecke verspätet angekommen, haben die Unterkunft per Telefon verständigt das wir erst spät ankommen werden. Das Hotel ist ein Holzbau wie es sie in der Schweiz des öfteren gibt, Doppelzimmer mit Stockdusche und Stock-WC. Das wustten wir schon vorher, für uns kein Problem. Personal war sehr freundlich, das Frühstück war auch sehr gut und so konnten wir gestärkt die nächst Etappe angehen.
wir hatten eigentlich nichts auszusetzen, nur die Türen und Dielen haben geknarrt, wenn man nachts auf die Toilette musste, eben so wie es früher war.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Das Hotel lag für uns sehr gut. Die Betten waren bequem und pünktlich um 22.00 wurde es in dem im Haus befindlichen Restaurant ruhig. Das Frühstück war gut und die Wirtin sehr nett.
Leider gab es nur ein Gemeinschaftsbad und damit war der Übernachtungspreis im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften in denen wir auf unserer Wanderung übernachtet haben etwas teuer.

TV steht da, aber hat keine Steckdose??? 1. Abend Restaurant geschlossene Gesellschaft, Hochzeit von mir aus. Kein Schlaf möglich, vor 1.30 Uhr, da sich direkt unter dem Zimmer die Küche befindet, wacht man nachts schweißgebadet auf. Fenster lassen sich nicht ankippen, sind uralt. 2. Abend Auftritt der Motorradfahrer, Party im Flur, danke das in meiner Zimmertür eine Glasscheibe war und ich live dabei sein konnte. Der Run auf die Gemeinschaftstoilette starte um 5.30Uhr, ab da kein Schlaf mehr möglich!

El baño era compartido, dato que no sabíamos al realizar la reserva, a pesar de ello, estaban muy limpios.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Very close to the station, lovely friendly staff, clean amenities We didn't stay for breakfast, but we have received a packed one which was delicious. Bathroom was nice and clean. Toilets separate for men and women.
Hotel is on the main road, that motorbikes like to use all day and night so very noisy at night if windows are opened. Close to the church and bells wake you up every hour if windows opened during the summer. Creaking floorboards and doors.

Super petit déjeuner plutôt complet, avec des confitures du coin ! Le restaurant le soir était copieux, nous avons excellemment bien mangé. Les toilettes et salle de bain commune étaient propres et conformes à ce qui y était décrit
Étant donné qu’il s’agit d’un vieux bâtiment, il faisait vite chaud, ce qui nous a amené à dormir avec la fenêtre ouverte, mais le son des voitures passant sur la route principale y faisait défaut. Rien de grave, nous avons pu quand même bien nous reposer. Ajouter un ventilateur dans les chambres sera peut-être nécessaire (voire obligatoire) avec le réchauffement climatique qui pointe de plus en plus le bout de son net

A parte il bagno e doccia in comune che era indicato, nelle camere non c'era aria condizionata. Inoltre le mosche, eravamo invasi da esse, soprattutto nella sala ristorante. Siamo nel 2026 ci sono i mezzi per non trovarseli in casa.

Había pocas opciones veganas para desayunar y parte del personal no hablaba inglés. No había refrigeración en las habitaciones, aunque no pasamos calor al abrir las ventanas se escuchaba el ruido de la carretera.

Room could have done with a good clean.. Towels and bed sheets smelt like diesel... Tv didn't work.. No bottle of water in room. Breakfast 2 out of 10.. No toaster, ham & cheese all curled up and dry. Flies everywhere.. You had to cook your own eggs if you wanted them. No effort from the owner went into the Breakfast at all. Worst continental breakfast I've ever seen.

Es una casa antigua, se oye todo de las habitaciones contiguas, la puerta de la habitación no cierra bien, huele a madera vieja, le hace falta una buena remodelación. Es una habitación cara para lo que ofrece. Las habitaciones están en un primer paso y todo son escaleras.

Für 6 Zimmer eine Etagedusche und 2 Toiletten ist echt zu wenig. Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig und alles sehr alt in den 80 iger oder 90 iger Jahre stehengeblieben.

Dit Alpinahotel is in een traditioneel gebouwd chalet. Er was een gedeelde badkamer, maar dat kan ook niet anders in dit soort gebouwen. Heeft wel charme eigenlijk. BACK TO BASIC!

Reviewed May 24, 2026Staff is friendly. Price was okay. Great if you like to stay in a small village.Near to some beautiful attractions like Alpbachschlucht Gorge. Many waterfalls in Meiringen area. River flowing through village. Nice views of Snow mountains. (Also You get a transport pass for near by area when you are staying in the area in switzerland)
-Location is remote. No trains from meiringen or interlaken at late night since its a small village. You have to wait for night bus if you styed late at night in the city. This is not a problem of Hotel. Just a location thing. -Wooden floors are bit noisy.This is common anyway in Europe unless its a new building . Also When next door guest is trying to open the door you feel like someone is trying to open yours.

We knew we didn’t have an en suite so just ensure you’re aware when booking.
