Great location and attentive hosts . Beautiful Sri Lankan breakfasts. 2 min walk to the fort ramparts and there is a small supermarket across the road.

Had to pay cash because there was no provision to pay by card.

I loved the amenities and the view of the ocean. It was adjacent the ramparts of the old Dutch fort. Easy walking distance to shops and tourist attractions. Lovely owners who run and live in the hotel.

The owners were amazing hosts. They ensure that the guest's experience is best. The. location was excellent within the fort and close to the beach. Convenience store just a walk away. Everything was clean in the property.

Beautiful building and room. Very comfortable and the hosts were lovely and very accommodating.

Very good breakfast. This is a good small hotel, though possibly not quite as plush as the photos! Hugely grateful to Hussain in reception for help with an small but urgent computer problem. The hotel is right next to the historic port fortification walls, and there is a supermarket a few metres up the street. The owners are lovely people.

De eigenaar en eigenaresse zijn erg gastvrij en behulpzaam. De locatie van het hotel is ook super, wij hadden uitzicht op zee vanuit een leuk en gezellig balkon. Ook zijn alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand te bereiken. De kamers zijn schoon, en erg gezellig.

Location in Galle fort very close to the ramparts. Funny decoration. Great breakfast. Friendly family business.

A lot of stairs and no lift. the stairs to the second floor rooms are actually really steep bordering on dangerous. The room doors are difficult to close. We had to request towels for the bathroom, there were none.

Galleの旧市街、海も街並みも見所の真ん中で、選んでよかったです。部屋はレトロだと思えば楽しめました。建具の鍵など使い慣れるのに時間がかかります。 水圧もよく熱いお湯が出ました。

初めに担当してくれた女性のスタッフは疲れてついたばかりなのに、次の日の車の手配はしたかとか食事の時間はとか、焦らせたうえに、お支払いのお釣りは持ってこないので、後でかと思うと帰ってしまい次の日もこなかった。チップだと思えばいいのだが、、、だとしたら納得しないチップでした。 その他のスタッフは皆さんとてもよかったです。

We had a great stay at Dutch Wall in Galle Fort. The location is excellent, right inside the fort and within easy walking distance of the ramparts, restaurants, cafés, and all the main sights. The property has a lot of character and fits perfectly with the historic atmosphere of Galle Fort. Our room was clean and comfortable, and it was a nice place to relax after spending time exploring the area. Being able to step outside and wander through the streets of the fort, especially in the early morning and evening when things are quieter, was one of the highlights of staying here. Breakfast each morning was excellent. The table was filled with fresh fruit including papaya, watermelon and pineapple, along with fresh juice, coffee, toast and fried eggs. We were also served hoppers with a potato curry and a lentil curry, both of which were delicious and the potato curry in particular had a really nice spicy kick to it. The hosts were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and were happy to offer advice about places to visit and things to do around Galle. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Dutch Wall to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay inside Galle Fort.

Très belle résidence et accueil fort sympathique et agréable par les hôtes. Agréable chambre avec terrasse et vue partielle mer. Bon petit déjeuner préparé par nos hôtes. Le jour du départ, ils l'ont également préparé pour nous à 6h du matin.

チェックインした時にタオルがなく対応してもらったが、その後ベットメイキングができていないことを知った。すぐに対応を依頼したかったがチェックインの対応をしてくれたスタッフも不在(帰宅した様子)でレセプションエリアの照明も落としていたために我慢した。汚れたマットで使用済みと思われるシーツで一夜を過ごした。

This place is as good as what I thought. Our room have a lovely window to see the beach. Espically when is weather is good though. Beautiful view. Also room is very cozy. A/C and fan works well. Breakfast is Ok then.

So quirky. Fab room, very clean, all great. Such lovely people, run by Fazal, great breakfast and so helpful, especially Hassan who sorted cabs for us to beach and the airport.

Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Er trug uns sie Koffer hoch und wieder herunter. Sie machte uns Sandwiches zum mitnehmen, weil wir so früh abreisen mussten, und half uns, zur frühen Stunde zwei Tuktuks für den Weg zum Bahnhof zu bekommen.

Wir haben bei der Abreise vergessen, Trinkgeld zu geben.

This was a very quaint hotel of 4-5 rooms in the old Dutch part of town, very close to the lighthouse. It had some very quirky features. The owners were very helpful and kind. It was near restaurants and souvenir shops. Aircon was needed as it was very hot and steamy, and it worked well. Breakfast was a mix of Sri Lankan curries, fruits, eggs, bread.

All the rooms were upstairs and of course, no lift. Also no tv, nor kettle etc. .

Clean and comfortable room and full of character. Very central to the town for sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious and never ending!

Tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice.

Beautiful room and very comfortable bed with a wonderful view from the balcony. Very good breakfast too. The location is fantastic.The staff were extremely helpful with everything. Hassan communicates in perfect English and was very supportive in helping us to manage our predicament with the closure of the air space.

We had a fantastic stay at Dutch Wall Fort in Galle. The location is excellent, right in the heart of everything, making it easy to explore the area. The room was very comfortable, breakfast was generous and delicious, and the hosts were absolutely lovely and welcoming throughout our stay. Thank you for having us - we would happily stay again!

The family who manages is lovely, they were very helpful with arranging my transfers and served a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast taking care of having a lactose free yogurt for me :)

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Gastgeber waren ausgesprochen nett und hilfsbereit. Die Location ist top, mitten im Zentrum gelegen. Ein echtes Highlight war das leckere und abwechslungsreiche Frühstück.

Unbeatable location right on the seafront in Fort Galle. Very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The staircase up to the room is quite steep. Assistance was provided for bags so not a problem at all but worth bearing in mind. The early check in time is also a massive plus. Lovely breakfast provided as well. Highly recommend!

Our room had limited Wifi but at reception it was great.

The location is amazing and the hotel is just like stepping back in time with this huge four poster bed that comes with a wooden box you can use as a step to clamber into bed if you area short legged creature like I am. Galle forte is a beautiful old city and I’m so glad we spent our three nights here. Our hosts were awesome too. Nazaha(sorry about spelling ) was my little sister and was sooo helpful. I had gotten a lehenga earlier in the trip and the tailor did a really poor,job to the point Nazaha laughed when I tried it on and showed her. So we went to this awesome sari and lehenga shop where i seriously bought so many items that her husband actually went out to find me a second bag to carry them all! Then she took me to her tailor who is this awesome young fashion student. She took all my measurements and then I told her to make and do whatever she liked with all the saris I bought. And BOY did she deliver! So if you want a good day and great deal,shopping get my lil sister to show you where to go and take you to her tailor. I can’t post all the photos here, but I plan to send to both women and hopefully the young fashion student student will be the go to for all the women visiting Galle who want not just saris but all sorts of gorgeous one of a kind outfits made from them. Also some only got finished after we left and Uncle (who teased me about being to old and unfit for the second story room, haha - funny fella!) drove 40 minutes away to our new accommodation to personally deliver them! What a gent! Also their nephew works there too. Just an FYI for all the single ladies hahah Oh also for,the men, check out the cricket stadium. It’s probably the MOST beautiful stadium in the world and we got to enjoy two days of cricket. Ok I,lie, I spent at least half of the second day shopping but my Aussie husband was living his best life! So yeah, great staff, great hotel, great location, huge breakfast. You will be happy you stayed there for sure!

There was nothing not to like. It was like meeting the family you didn’t know you had!

A beautiful and traditional hotel set in a 300-year-old building, full of charm and character. The location was fantastic, right at the front near Galle Lighthouse and the old fort wall, making it perfect for exploring the fort and surrounding area. It’s family-run, which gave it such a welcoming and personal feel, and we really appreciated the traditional style and atmosphere that made the stay so special.

Eines der schönsten Hotels unserer Rundreise. Zimmer absolut sauber, neue Klimaanlage, wir hatten aber auch das Deluxe Zi mit kleinem Balkon und Blick aufs Meer. Absolut idyllisches altes Haus, im Bad sogar Hygieneartikel zur Verfügung. Bequeme Betten als Himmelbett😄 Super freundliche Gastgeber und Frühstück sehr lecker.

La struttura é molto buia, e per niente accogliente. Mentre facevamo colazione c'era il rumore assordante del motore che tiene pulita l'acqua dell'acquario. Sconsiglio davvero questo posto, non vale il prezzo che si paga. La stanza é molto piccola e buia.

Ottima posizione, vicino al faro. Bellissima vista mare dal terrazzino privato. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Colazione molto buona!

Fantástica la ubicación en el centro de galle fortificado. Restaurantes y tiendas todo alrededor. Te reciben siempre con una bebida de bienvenida. La habitación tenía una ventana secreta con unas vistas increíbles

A mí hijo le acribillaron bichos en la cama, debía haber una araña o algo. Sacudir bien y de resto todo genial

Cuando salimos a cenar, dejamos el AC encendido. Al volver, nos informaron de que la luz se había disparado, aunque curiosamente a los 2 minutos regresó. En la habitación, hacía muchísimo calor, nos costó bastante tiempo conseguir aclimatación.

Convenient location in the Fort of Galle.The room was big and clean, air conditioning helps to avoid mosquitoes. Good breakfast with fresh fruits and juice, typical sri lankan dishes, eggs and toast. Recommended for a stay with local people (very friendly owners)

Lovely little old building in an amazing location in the old fort right next to the lighthouse. The owners were very accommodating of my incredibly late (2:30am) check in. Room was nice and quiet and the included breakfast was plentiful and tasty mix of western and Sri Lankan food.

Very helpful hosts. I recommend the place for 2-3 days stay in Galle.

Bathroom was a little smelly and rooms are a bit noisy/you can hear other rooms.

Very convenient location, could easily walk to everything in the fort. The hotel was appealing and very well maintained for an older historical building. Good quality furniture and everything was clean. Great service, very friendly and helpful. Air conditioner worked well. Breakfast was generous and they were willing to offer extra items or anything you might request.

Located inside the fort city of Galle, this antique Dutch-style villa is owned by a family—with warm hospitality from reception till see-off. Hot water, Wi-Fi, and free breakfast were added advantages. It is easy to access from Church Street. It is closest to the Lighthouse, and all the other attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious. We had a wonderful time talking with the family. I will recommend this accommodation.

Located in the heart of the old city, it is near to everything. You can enjoy tranquil nights. The antique decor gave us a retro vibe. Fazal and Hussein were the most gracious of hosts.

The room was dark with 3 bulb lights.

It was an old property by looks but inside it was well furnished and clean . Bathroom rooms were clean . The AC was not sufficient for the room we stayed , but there were 2 fans to compensate.

No lift. There was help from the property side to carry baggages. So not a big problem. No windows.
