There was an awful foul smell in the room and the floor really showed signs of water damage. A big window was open when we arrived to try and reduce the smell obviously. We ended up staying elsewhere because of the smell. Tried to get a room on an upper more floor but only a room without a bathroom was available.

Toiseen kerrokseen kuljettava portaikko haisi sietämättömän pahalta — lisäksi portaat olivat koiralle vaikeakulkuiset. Ovikoodisysteemi ei toiminut. Tuplavuoteen sijaan sängyissä kuluneet, notkolla olevat patjat.

We have stayed in room 20 for 2 nights and I shared the following feedback with the hotel. - Wi-Fi connects in the room but there is no internet so it was easier to switch back to my 4G, the hotel advertises Wi-Fi but it does not work properly - on the first night I could not get the TV to work and mentioned it to the girls in the restaurant- I did not expect them to sort it out as they were working in the restaurant, however they could have said they would tell reception in the morning but oh no they told me to phone myself between 10-4 to report it. - I did phone and report it and the lady said maintenance would sort it out. When we got back at 5pm it still did not work so I mentioned it to the girls in the restaurant and basically they told me it did work so it must be me! However, they did say they would help me work it when they were not busy. Later I went back to my room and Zach arrived to look at the TV - after going through things he agreed it did not work! So having been made to feel like an idiot, I was correct all the time. By the way Zach was very professional and helpful (as was the waitress in the restaurant with long dark hair) - perhaps some of the rest of the team could benefit from some extra training. - we requested to book in the restaurant via booking.com but it appeared when we arrived the staff did not know of the booking so we made sure we booked for the second night. When we arrived down for dinner we had been given table 13 with a view of bins etc. the restaurant was not that busy and we did move but why would the team place a reserved table for a guest of the hotel on table 13, it was quite insulting. - however, the worst bit was last night when it was very warm (the room is very hot and has no fan etc.) but because of the bar and outside guests it was impossible to sleep.

Stanza con letto molto alto e non molto comodo, bagno enorme con lavabo fuori dimensione e adatto solo come lavamani per roulotte data la dimensione, prodotti bagno ridotti solo a lavamani e bagnoschiuma

Røyklukt i puben mens vi spiste. Pizzaen var ikke noe særlig god, og vi måtte bestille ei stor. De sa de hadde ikke tallerkener, så vi kunne ikke bestille hver sin . Vi måtte ta halvt om halvt, og betale for dyreste av de to. Ingen kom og spurte om det smakte, de bak disken satt og prata med gjester hele tiden vi var der. Et tips: i frokostdisken lå mange gafler i lag, til bruk på påleggene. Ikke lurt mtp allergier feks egg/fisk. Bør være egne gafler på hvert fat.

Reviewed Apr 28, 2026We had a fantastic stay here, but the absolute highlight was the service provided by Zachary. He truly went above and beyond to make our trip easier. Despite not being a local himself, he was incredibly helpful with planning our routes out of Båtsfjord and even went out of his way to introduce me to some of the locals. On top of the great advice, he physically helped us with our luggage, carrying our cases up and down the stairs without hesitation. It is rare to find someone so genuinely helpful and proactive. Zachary made our visit feel personal and seamless—he is a huge asset to this hotel!

Frühstück hat eine sehr große Auswahl, zu unserer Zeit waren allerdings fast keine anderen Touristen im Hotel, sodass uns die Auswahl etwas komisch vorkommt. Entweder muss sehr viel weggeworfen werden oder das Buffet ist nicht so frisch.

Reviewed Sep 28, 2025To be honest, beds were super poor. They keep terrible noise while you turn in the bed. Mattress was very, very soft. These beds were not at all from this century. And, unfortunately smell in toilet was very bad indeed. Maybe the drains had dried up and this caused smell. But. Restaurant was superb nice, food was good and service even better than excellent.

The sheets were scratchy. I think either they weren’t rinsed enough or they need to be replaced. But it’s such a tiny thing and this is such a great place.

Ei ehkä yleisten kriteerien mukaan viiden tähden hotelli, mutta omat odotukset täyttyi 110% ja siltä osin siis ehdottomasti ansainnut viisi tähteä. Tullaan toistekin!
