Excellent
best staff
i have like everything
Great stay, played cricket had a lot fun and the place is clean and the staff makes you feel like family
The location was good and they also provide assistance for paragliding
The people were too noisy even after midnight that we couldn't sleep
The people and the vibe, also the staff really helpful, really cool🙌
Nothing, it’s great
We booked Hosteller Bir expecting a reliable backpacker-style stay, but the experience didn’t match the brand or price. Basic services weren’t maintained , the geyser wasn’t working, cleanliness standards felt low, and the food was underwhelming. The common area is the only redeeming part: spacious, nicely done, and the New Year party was fun. Overall, if you only care about social spaces it might work, but for comfort and service there are better options in Bir.
Okay! Not a sponsored review but something very heartfelt. BIr hosteller is not just a stay , its a hub of memories. The area where you sit and end up meeting people who just say a "hi" to you out of nowhere is something full of warmth. They have very chill vibe and everything is very near to it You ask for a cab , you ask for a ride in activa , you have to paraglide or you want to just walk up to a siddu eatery ! You are just there The common area became our cozy corner instead of the room where we spent most of the time WFH ( staycation ) Strong wifi Cleanliness on point Good food P.S the painting attached in my review is drawn by me.. ehhe so if you end up visiting the place .. locate it
I didn't like that I had to leave the place
The rooms were near and clean. The location was just 100-150m from the bus stop. Good location
The location was decent, although a little far from the paragliding landing site and with no views. My roommates were lovely but ultimately didn't like the hostel either...
Ok, the list is long! * Booking process - because this is a commercial hostel chain you cannot contact the hostel directly. The central hostel comms system is clearly not fit for purpose as I tried to follow correct channels and got nowhere. This was a problem for me because my foreign bank cards would not work on their payment system and I had no way to advise them of the problem. * Noise - this is the noisiest hostel I have EVER stayed at. They have a notice on the wall for quiet after 10 pm but this was not enforced. I complained after the first night and the manager apologised but the same issue occurred the next night. For clarity, this is a party hostel (loud music, loud talking and shouting, guitar playing and singing until well after midnight). If you want decent sleep, stay elsewhere. * Female Security - not great. The female dorm is 2 beds and a door locked via sliding bolts from inside or padlock from outside. Unless you are 2 friends exiting and entering always together this clearly does not work. I had to go to bed with the door unlocked the first night because my roommate was out. * Staff - the manager was polite and helpful but the others generally useless. The reception opened late both days I stayed there. I had also been told they would call for laundry pick up for me but when I brought my laundry as instructed I was told this was not a service. Beyond frustrating when you are backpacking and moving often. * Quality of room - pretty poor. Scuffed paintwork, stained sheets, uncomfortable mattress.
Amazing
Common area could have more activities
Clean rooms, helpful staff, and there was live music in the evenings
Beautiful property with amazing hospitality
Location and centricity of the property, to the landing site in Bir. Everything was at a walkable distance from the property.
The washrooms could have been a bit more cleaner, and placement of the fittings in the bathroom could have been better. For ex - Even after having a separate/different space in the bathroom for shower/bath, the shower and the taps were closer to the pot and that too in front of the gate of the attached bathroom in the room. If it were placed correctly (Left to Right: Shower/Bath Area --> Wash Basin --> Pot Area), would logically make more space and comfortable
Location
Bedsheet were not clean , washroom was not clean
Had a really fun few days at the hostel. There were music nights and bonfires. The staff was very friendly and the rooms quite clean.
Quite close to the main market, very clean, helpful staff and surrounded by a tea garden. Will definitely recommend
The ambience and environment was too good.Loved it
Little cleanliness to be done in future.
The property is right near the bus stop. It has an open area where you can sit and chill The staff was brilliant and the food was good too
Na
Clean, Hip and fun hostel located perfectly close to the market. Comfortable beds and friendly staff. Food was pretty good as well.
The staff was not too cooperative.
Hosteler Staff suggesting and promoting the wrong bike scooty vendors Name "Gabro Bike rent" who are doing scam activities with travellers. If you are going in bir hosteler then don't use "Gabro bike rent" which was suggested by Hosteler Bir. Already complained to hosteler Staff but no action still promoting fake bike vendors. ❗Beware Travellers
The vibe of the hostel is amazing every evening and with the weather of Bir it truly feels magical
Nothing
Perfect spot for solo travellers
Economically priced. Comfy beds. Well maintained. Volunteer Zaid was very helpful in planning a good itinerary. Could cover almost all the places in 3 days.
staff is very helpful and cooperative
we need big game zone
Great place, great food, great staff, I played cricket with them as well, Zaid was the coordinator there who was quite helpful. All in all I would recommend this place over any hostel in bir and I have been bir 5-6 times.
Friendly staff
Their check in time and coming to clean the room at odd hours
I had an unforgettable experience at this hostel! The location is ideal, just a short walk from the local market, making it super convenient for all your essentials. The food was delicious, with the English breakfast and Indian thali being absolute must-tries, and the service was excellent. The staff, particularly Abhi and Lucky, were incredibly helpful and hilarious, making my stay even more enjoyable with their friendly company. Manager Rajeev was calm, professional, and softly spoken—a true gem who also gave great recommendations for places to visit nearby. The hostel has an adorable dog named Lily, who’s mastered every trick to score a snack—she’s definitely a highlight! They organize thrilling activities like paragliding and local tours, plus they assist with scooty rentals if you want to explore on your own. Just across the hostel, there’s a handy essentials store, and right above it, a snooker junction with a scenic mountain view, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. I also met wonderful people during my stay, making this the best hostel experience I’ve had, with a perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!
Nothing
Staying at The Hosteller Bir felt like finding a home away from home. The staff, especially Rajeev and Jassi, were incredibly welcoming and made sure all my needs were met. They are the heart and soul of this place, always ready with a smile and eager to help with recommendations or any assistance required. The hostel itself is very spacious, with plenty of open areas where guests can relax, socialize, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bir. The rooms are good – clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything necessary for a pleasant stay. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!!
If you want good breakfast got to 366. This place had breakfast but for us was to late as we need to start flying at 8:30am. So go to 366 they are open at 7am.
Almost everyday was noise outside, people were playing loud music till late night. So this is not the place to stay if you need quiet and relax place. You can find more quiet pace elsewhere.

It’s really economical
Far from the centre
everything
Very clean and comfortable stay. The property's on a tea estate and super close to the market. The staff's very helpful. They got me a good deal for paragliding, too.
No complaints per se. It's a great property with good accessibility.
The staff is really good and helpful
Sitting area could be thought to be rearranged in a more intimate way !
