B&B Habitat

Die Unterkunft ist besonders und mit viele Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es fühlt sich an, als wäre man bei Freunden zu Gast. Die beiden Gastgeber sind herzlich und haben uns hilfreiche Empfehlungen gegeben. Das Frühstück ist ein Traum. Frederike gibt sich so viel Mühe und bereitet ein wirklich tolles Frühstück zu… unbedingt inkl. Frühstück buchen. Die Unterkunft hat eine super Lage, nach 30-40 Minuten erreicht man Amsterdam mit dem Zug, der Bahnhof ist ca 1 KM von der Unterkunft entfernt. Nach Harlem fährt man ca 20 minuten, es ist auch sehr sehenswert.

Das WC befindet sich außerhalb des Zimmers auf dem Gang. Stört nicht weiter, sollte man nur wissen.

Frederiek is such a nice host. She cares about her guests well being and was open for a chat. The interior is really beautiful and with a great eye for detail. Everything is provided for. The location is great. It's a bit of a walk away from the train station. There are shops and varied places to eat close by.

De hosts waren erg warm en hebben er alles aan gedaan om ons verblijf zo fijn mogelijk te maken.

Overnatningen ligger 5 km fra en dejlig strand og 30 min i tog fra Amsterdam. Dejlige værelser og atmosfære. Og ikke mindst værterne som gjorde opholdet personligt ved bl.a. at servere dejlig morgenmad med en god snak om dagen og mulige oplevelser. Kan klart anbefale stedet.

Die Toilette war außerhalb des Zimmern.

Het ontbijt was heerlijk en de tips voor de bazaar hebben we erg gewaardeerd. Overigens de Kinetix was een prima bezigheid voor mijn zoon zeker als het regent. Je komt in verschillende kamers waar de vloer en/muur bestaan uit licht-blokken die je moet ontwijken of juist op moet drukken. De laserkamer was favoriet ;-)

Nog duidelijker aangeven waar je mag parkeren.

The boutique B&B is decorated and furnished with a lot of love. It's really cozy. The owners are incredibly nice people. There is free parking and the location is quite nice. It's quiet but central enough.

Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short. The bed was so uncomfortable that we didn't sleep for two nights. The shutters also didn't really make the room dark enough for us. The good news is that we told the owners and they agreed to do something about it. A small thing but I couldn't tell from the placement is that the toilet is in the hallway and shared with another room.

We had a wonderful stay at B&B Habitat. The accommodation is located in a beautiful residential area, within easy walking distance of the centre of Beverwijk and the train station. The room was spacious and clean and decorated with great attention to detail. I would especially like to emphasize the hospitality of Frederiek and Reginald, who welcomed us so warmly. They gave us tips for excursions, restaurants, etc., and were always concerned about our well-being. We would love to come back 😀

Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und geben tolle Tipps. Die Atmosphäre im Haus ist gepflegt und herzlich. Die Einrichtung ist hochwertig und der Innenhof mit dem Wasserfall geben eine ruhige Stimmung ab. Das Frühstück in der Küche der Gastgeber ist exzellent und bietet eine besonders schöne Atmosphäre. Das B&B Habitat liegt in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet, ist aber trotzdem zentral. Es gibt kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor der Haustür und man kann in 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß den Bahnhof erreichen.

Das Haus ist etwas hellhörig und dass die Toiletten direkt nebenan auf dem Flur sind, stört nicht wirklich.

Wunderschön eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich gleich wie zu Hause. Die Gastgeberin ist super freundlich. Gute Lage. In ein paar Minuten erreicht man einen Supermarkt. Es gibt einen Parkplatz und einen Abstellraum für das Fahrrad.

We stayed at B&B Habitat during our trip to the Netherlands and were absolutely delighted. The place is beautifully designed, cozy, and tastefully decorated, creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts, Frederiek and Reginald, greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel truly cared for from the very beginning. Our little son also felt right at home! Although we traveled across almost the entire country over two weeks, we never found another place that could even come close to comparing with Habitat. It truly stood out as a highlight of our journey, and we wholeheartedly recommend it.

Es war ein Aufenthalt, der uns inspiriert und uns unvergessliche Erinnerungen geschenkt hat. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

The breakfast was a wonderful collection of the best items in the Netherlands. It included local cheese, meats and eggs, Poffertjes (Dutch Mini Pancakes), fruit, and fresh bread. The room was spacious with a shower, coffee/tea station, and television. B&B Habitat's owners were very accommodating and recommended local eateries and sites. These were spot on and did not disappoint. This establishment is highly recommended for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Not apply - Everything was great.

While this is our first B&B and we do not have a lot of room for comparison what I would say is that it truly lived to the hype of having a home-like experience. With a rather eclectic decor it might not be for everyone but it has a very unique and zen atmosphere. The location is great, just minutes to downtown, very quite and peaceful neighbourhood, has private parking beside the building which is a bonus considering the fully booked street spots. What stands out was the owner who showed great hospitality. We were about to try to breakfast but could not get to it due to time constraints but from what we saw it was exceptional.

It is an oversight on our end that while it was mentioned with room with a private bathroom that it would not include a private toilet. The toilet is shared with another room and while this is not really an issue for someone looking for ultimate privacy this might be an issue. No outlets to plug anything in, the only ones were hidden under the bed which was a bit of an ordeal to get devices juiced up.

Everything was excellent. Comfy bed and wonderful breakfast. Great hospitality from Frederiek & Reginald. Highly recommended.

There was nothing to not like.

A beautiful room, nice and quiet. Location is very good, it’s walking distance from the train station and from a bus stop to go to the beach. There are also many restaurants close by. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Microwave and refrigerator are a big plus.

Personally I would have preferred a toilet in the room.

The hotel is actually a huge house, where the owner lives; downstairs are rooms and upstairs it is the owners' flat. The house has its own style - it is a beautiful piece of art! Among others Fornasetti can be found. The owner is very hostable, you will feel like you truly entered a Dutch home.

The house has a bit of a funky smell. It is close to Amsterdam only with a car.

The communication before arriving was excellent. After a warm welcome we discovered our room furnished in a special and original design. The bathroom was excellent and the fact that the toilet is outside of the room was for us not a problem at all. The highlights of the accomodation: Kindness of Frederiek, cosy room, free parking place, calm area, good tips and an excellent breakfast to have a good start in the day. So we did really appreciate our stay and will come back for a longer period cause there is a lot to discover in the area: Haarlem, Alkmaar, Zandijk,…) . The location is perfect between the main city, Amsterdam and the beach, if you have a car. The bedding is great. The bedroom and bathroom items offer to guests are really good idea!

I felt extremely welcome and comfortable staying here. I had a delay with the trains coming from Denmark, and it was a relief that the owner, Frederiek, communicated well and responded in a timely manner to my messages. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and was also given advice for places to go and what to see during my stay. The room was very clean and I had my own private toilet right outside the room.

The private toilet was right outside of my room, which I did not mind unless it was at night since the front door was also right outside my room and made of glass. Felt a little uncomfortable going out at night in my sleeping attire since there was no curtain/blinds on the door.

My friend and I received a warm welcome from the owners, who were very kind and friendly. The room and bathroom were clean and with everything we needed. The neighborhood is quiet and close to the station. Also a special mention goes to the breakfast, with really high quality products. We recommend it to everyone!

Very cosy place, good location in about 10 minutes walk to the train station. Frederiek was so kind and nice host. It was pleasure to meet her. The breakfast was tasty and she even gave us a ride.

It was a great pleasure to be there, truly. I found this place so good and heavy of great ideas (-: Very comfy bed. Nice and clean bathroom. Water boiler and coffee express were in the room - plenty of choice for tea too. The breakfast was insanely great - Frederieke made it herself and really liked it! The place is close to train station, cinema, plenty of good restaurants and shops.

This is such a unique place, such style and warmth.

We would have preferred the WC to be in en-suite, but it all worked perfectly well.

Really unique building - an old laboratory- beautifully converted into a home. The couple who run it are really friendly, welcoming and super interesting. We had lots of opportunities to chat to them over their very generous breakfasts. Our bed was extremely comfortable. They had plenty of bikes to rent and it was just a short ride to the beach and a truly great beach bar/restaurant.

The breakfast was very healthy and I liked it a lot. The hostess took a lot of trouble in making sure that we had a comfortable stay. Every request was addressed and resolved without delay. Beautiful house and wonderful hostess.

Reminds me of Maslow's theory on hierarchy of needs. There is no end to what a human being wants to make him/her happy. True happiness comes from enjoying what is available to you. I have no complaints.

The recommendations for where to go and eat were great, and it was a wonderful stay! If I ever find myself in the Netherlands again, I would 100% stay here!

Cosy room and fantastic breakfast experience: in addition to the delicious food, it was an excellent opportunity to share some time with the wonderful host, very attentive and helpful. The private parking was also appreciated. The shared toilet was not a problem at all: perfectly clean and only shared with another room, it was like sharing the toilet at home.

The default breakfast time is 9am, which may be a bit too late for some guests. Fortunately, the host agreed to let us have breakfast a bit earlier. Eating your own food at the B&B (e.g. for diner) is possible but could be more confortable: a shared little fridge and microwave are available at the entrance hall, but there is no shared dining room (the breakfast table is in the host's private area). A little portable table is available on demand.

Location was perfect and very central. Frederiek is a super host, made contact with me very early and explained directions, where to park and was waiting to show me a round when I arrived. Facilities are fabulous, even if the separate toilet was initially strange. Breakfast was fabulous and It was lovely sharing the kitchen bar with other guests
