The staff made me and my family feel very uncomfortable. We felt like we were being discriminated against. Telling my family we had to be inside our room at a certain time. The food was not well cooked, alcohol and non alcohol drinks were super watered down. THE BEACH WATER WAS DISGUSTING! The beach was actually closed, the water was literally brown. They did not disclose that there was no beach, that’s a main part for my vacation. The resort is surrounded by swamp waters and there’s raccoons everywhere. Someone even said they seen a gator on the sand. The cab drivers and staff were literally extorting us over charging for everything.

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dreams Natura — August 14–20, 2026
We recently stayed at Dreams Natura from August 14–20 with Impression Black status. This was our second stay, after visiting in December, and overall we had another fun trip with our guests.
Fernando and Fernando (butlers) were terrific and really made us feel well taken care of. Javier was also amazing—he kept our drinks filled and provided great service throughout our stay. At the Preferred Pool, Roger took great care of us and got us set up daily, and Nancy was a wonderful server as well.
The kids had a great time on the water slides and lazy river, and we enjoyed participating in activities like Zumba and beach volleyball. The food was overall good, and there was a nice variety of options throughout the resort.
Since this was our second stay, we did notice some differences from our December visit. One of the things we especially liked last time was that the Preferred Pool was adults-only, but children are now allowed, so the atmosphere was different. We also didn’t receive an upgrade this trip.
As Impression Black members, our only additional perks were a complimentary 25-minute chair massage and one complimentary cabana which we took advantage of.
We also noticed that the fan in our room was quite noisy, which was frustrating.
We brought my best friend, her husband, and two of their children with us this time, so it was a much more family-oriented trip. One evening we weren’t allowed into the arcade, which was strange and disappointing, especially since we had the kids with us.
We also did a photoshoot during our stay. Unfortunately, we weren’t particularly happy with our photographer, so that experience could have been better.
That said, we still had a fun family vacation and were well taken care of overall. The staff members who provided service to us really stood out and made a positive difference in our stay.
Overall, we enjoyed our time at Dreams Natura and had a great family trip. We would consider returning again.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026We recently booked a 7-day family vacation at Dreams Natura Resort & Spa, taking up 4 rooms for a group of 11 people, including young kids. When we originally booked, the resort maintained a 4.7-star rating on Google Maps, but dropped to 4.0 by the time we traveled. Midway through our stay, WestJet Vacations emailed us notifying us they officially downgraded the hotel rating from 5 stars to 4.5 stars. After staying here, even 4 stars feels far too generous. Staff displayed complete indifference, and operations felt disorganized.
THE PREFERRED CLUB UPGRADE: A WASTE OF MONEY
We paid extra to upgrade our whole party to Preferred Club, but it was a total money trap. The only actual perk was the indoor lounge with AC. The exclusive Preferred Club pool was constantly crammed, lacked atmosphere, and was functionally identical to the standard pool next door, except it did not even have a real swim-up bar (they just rolled out a small bar cart).
THE CONS AND FRUSTRATIONS:
- Smelly Sargassum on Beach: Heavy sargassum seaweed buildup created a foul smell across the shore. Grounds crews cleaned daily, but the odor and water made the beach completely unusable.
- Dreadful Food and App Nightmares: Food across the resort was shockingly bad. Honestly, the food at the Cancun Airport lounge on our way home tasted much better. Buffet selection and quantities were very limited for a hotel this size. Dinner reservations are restricted to the buggy Hyatt app for Preferred Club members only. Concierge refused to help and told us to figure it out ourselves. We only got reservations because one person in our party is a Hyatt Globalist whose butler booked our week.
- Severe Housekeeping Failures: For 4 out of 7 days, our rooms were completely skipped by housekeeping without DND signs out. We complained twice at the front desk and got it cleaned once. Requesting service another day at 4:30 PM was flat-out denied because housekeeping stops working at 5:00 PM.
- Apathetic Kids Club: Explorers Club staff felt inexperienced. Teachers did not ask if our 3-year-old wanted their hat/sunglasses for the beach, despite us handing those exact items to them.
- High-Pressure Sales: To claim $200 coupons, a rep spent 15 mins presenting from a Spanish booklet before finding English in the back, then pushed a timeshare presentation.
- Cramped Layout: Pools feel repetitive, chair game starts at dawn, no free sunscreen, and CoCo Cafe only had 3 ice cream and 3 popsicle flavors.
THE PROS:
- Beautiful Property: Rooms and grounds are modern and great for family photos.
- Unique Activities: Lazy river, water slides, and kids waterpark were fun. Roller glider was awesome, though scale enforces a 75kg (165lbs) limit vs 80kg advertised. Climbing wall has a 150lbs limit.
- Entertainment: Shows were great, but held in the hot Arts Garden due to corporate conferences. Inconsistent popcorn and no drinks served. Included 25-min massage was mixed. Breakfast smoothie station was a highlight.
VERDICT:
Nice rooms and slides cannot make up for terrible food, absent housekeeping, aggressive sales, and indifferent staff. Will not recommend.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Not only did I have an amazing trip but I got married Saturday and everything was perfect!!
We had around 60 people total & everyone had a blast! The poor bar was our favorite spot to spend the day (shout out bartender Nester!!!) food was great!! We enjoyed the restaurants and of course the 24 hour coco cafe was my FAV!
Also so fun being able to order room service.
The slides and lazy river were also a hit!! Definitely wish they had more tubes but able to make the best of it and you can still go in lazy river without one. The zip-line too was a big hit!!
The beach isn’t swimmable but with so much fun happening at the resort you don’t even notice you can’t go in the water. They work extremely hard to clean it up, out there everyday & by the weekend it looked so much better from when we first arrived!
Shout out to our wedding coordinator Grace!!
She was amazing! So sweet and amazing to work with! She truly made this entire experience from the planning to the setting up amazing! Our wedding was beautiful and everything we wanted! It ran so smooth and we truly couldn’t have asked for anything better. All our guests had a blast & the staff working that night were 10/10 hard working and friendly.
Our photographer Francesco was awesome!! Sooo excited to see the photos but he was so easy to work with 📸
Also huge shout out to the MC @mems_tapia for being awesome & the DJ @djtt_official for bringing allll the fun vibes to the dance floor!!
The spa (massage & hydrotherapy) were amazing!! The perfect relaxation day after the wedding - definitely worth doing it!!

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Our family of 5 (boys ages 6-15) spent 4 nights at Dreams Natura in two preferred club swim out suites. The staff at this resort is amazing. The entertainment staff get kids involved in various sports throughout the day. The pool team at the preferred club pool were fantastic, Roger saved me my favorite bed each day, Nancy made sure we always had drinks. The water slides and lazy river were a hit with the kids, this is why we selected this resort. The game room is really the teen lounge and is only open for other kids for two one-hour blocks throughout the day and we were usually busy with beach soccer or at dinner so could only go once, it was extremely crowded and couldn't play any of the games. This is a smaller resort which I liked, I felt comfortable letting the kids walk around by themselves.
The food is terrible, the tacos at the breakfast buffet and the Italian restaurant were the only things we enjoyed. The grille by the lazy river is fine for lunch but gets repetitive. They do have sushi at the swim up bar for lunch but it is limited with 3 roll choices per day, I liked this to break up the burgers/quesadillas at the grill. We knew the beach was not swimmable but did not anticipate just how much seaweed was there. No fault of the staff, but the view and smell are really bad. One of our rooms was ocean front and it was hard to sit out there with coffee listening to the waves due to the smell.
Overall I would give the resort a 8/10 because the staff is just that good. But I don't think I would return, we had a good time and the activities were a hit with the kids but the food is tough to overcome. This resort is geared towards families with kids, there are not a lot of adult activities throughout the day, which wasn't a problem for us but people should be aware it's not a get drunk party resort. A week would be too long but 4 days was perfect, enough to do to not be bored but chill enough to relax before school starts.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Our family is just finishing up our stay at Dreams Natura. Overall, we had a really great time and would recommend it, though there are a few important things future guests should know.
The Rooms & Amenities - The room was amazing and had everything we needed. We were worried the kids' sleeping area would lack privacy, but massive sliding doors cut off the noise perfectly. Both areas have their own AC. My wife loved the bathroom and also hairdryer—it has tons of power! The blackout curtains work well too. Just note there are no tea-making facilities (only coffee). You can change the TV settings to English for the kids. We did get woken up around 6:30 AM by native grackle birds and the tractors starting their daily beach cleanup.
Pools, Beach, & Grounds - The resort is perfect for families; the pools, slides, and arcade rooms are excellent. However, the pool water was incredibly warm and didn't offer much refreshment.
We had the preferred package gave access to a better pool and waiters. The main pool bar was generally understaffed and slow. Tipping does help.
The weather was unbelievably hot, even for the off-season. The pool towels are awful—very rough like sandpaper. Pro tip: bring your softer bathroom towels down to the pool instead!
The beach sand is beautiful, but the seaweed (sargassum) was a battle, which was sad to see. You won't want to go in the sea while it's heavy. The staff tries hard to clear it, but on bad days, it piles up into massive mounds and has a noticeable smell during cleanup. You do get used to it after a while and i wouldnt say it’s a put off, just know it’s there.
Food & Drinks - The staff throughout the resort are brilliant, especially if you tip them well - we were told a dollar an order. The drinks are high quality, but make sure to specify your liquor brand or they might use lower-grade options. The food is generally good, though the selection doesn't change much. The steakhouse was definitely our favorite! Warning: most restaurants do not have great AC, so dress light (shorts are all I needed).
If you love chocolate and desserts, you will be disappointed as they were pretty bland.
We were also shocked by the amount of single-use plastic bottles thrown out; the hotel really needs to switch to refillable bottles or something more eco friendly.
Excursions- We did a quad bike tour to the cenotes with Edventures and had one completely to ourselves—highly recommend! Skip the lagoon as it was way too busy. If you do the whale shark excursion, pick a calm weather day because the boats are tiny. And you may need anti sickness pills as its an hour away - we were put off by this and the fact you only get 3 x 5 mins in the water with them plus you need to be a good swimmer if you need to get out of their way.
Verdict- Would we recommend it? Yes. The issues we faced were mostly minor niggles that didn't spoil our trip. However, due to the extreme heat and the seaweed situation, we would probably choose a different country next time.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026I visited this resort with my husband and 2 children, who are 3 and 7 years old. The hotel itself is beautiful, the amenities are fantastic, and the entertainment was great. Even the food quality was good.
The only negative thing I can say, and it's a big negative, was that their handling of food allergies was absolutely horrendous, and nothing shy of negligent.
My son is allergic to milk and eggs. We spent the previous week at another Dreams Resort, and they were fantastic with his allergies. Throughout the week, there was not a single mistake made. At this resort, he was repeatedly served food he was allergic to, and denied foods that were safe for him. On the 5th day of our stay, I spoke to with the head of food and beverages, alberto, and told him I was afraid because staff was repeatedly making mistakes and serving him allergenic food. Alberto told me that he was going to ensure staff was aware of his allergies and they'd do better. That night, I asked for a manager at dinner to take our order. The manager refused to come. The waiter said he'd take the order instead. I ordered my son steak and vegetables, because that.should be easy to make allergy safe. I didn't realize that the chef put mashed potatoes under the vegetables. My son ate half the plate of steak before I realized. I asked again for the manager because it was critical that I know if the potatoes were made with milk, immediately. The manager again sent the waiter. The waiter told me there was milk in the potatoes. At this point, I said, "I need the manager, and I may need medical service immediately." The manager came and denied there was milk in the potatoes, yet refused to give us back the plate because she knew there was milk in the potatoes. At this time, I started to see my son display signs of a reaction. The night manager, Reyes came to the table. He was the only person who seemed to grasp the severity of the issue. Reyes alerted the staff the following morning to the issues. I was assured by many people, including the director and executive chef, that the allergies would be handled correctly going forward.
At lunch time that day, I asked for plain pasta with tomato sauce for my son. A manager at world Cafe told me that he couldn't have the pasta, because it contained egg. I asked him to double check the ingredient. He came back and said he double checked, it contained egg. I asked him to bring me out the package he claimed to have just double checked. There was NO EGG in it! He lied about checking the ingredients.
That night, Reyes and Fernando ensured we had a beautiful dinner, and everything was safe for my son. I am genuinely appreciative of that. But, food allergies need to be handled seriously at all meals, and from check in on. Ensuring one safe meal just isn't enough.
The next day, I found out that several foods I thought would be safe for my son but was denied all week long, were safe. Thus included sorbet, hash browns and marshmallows.
That night, we went for our final dinner. We went to Himitsu for teppenyaki. It was our second time going that week. The first time, the chef was excellent. He made my sons food first, and safely. We thought we'd have the same experience. This chef was made aware of my sons allergies, and asked that they cook the food in the back. That was fine. I was appaled that part way through the show, the chef picked up.an egg yolk and pretended to throw it at my son. Then, he threw a fake plastic egg at the woman sitting next to him. My son didn't know it was fake though. He cowered behind me, and fhe chef then went to throw it at him.
I was LIVID. How dare someone repeatedly taunt a child with a food allergy!?! Maybe, had he not feared for his life, it would have been a funny joke, but to him, it was terrifying. He ended up not eating that night because he was so upset.
I've reached out to the resort over this matter and hoped to reach a resolution before posting this review. Instead, I was assured that they take food allergies very seriously, and that from the moment the staff was made aware of his allergies, they worked hard to accommodate him. They were made aware before check in, at check in, and at ech meal after. They were made aware the morning before my son was exposed to his allergens again. I advocated for my son in every way possible, and still, there were issues.
So, if you have food allergies, please know, this is not the resort for you. Their safety protocols are nonexistent. There's no consistency. The staff is sorely lacking in training. I hope these things change, because the next family may not be so lucky.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Beautiful family friendly resort! I stayed here for two weeks with a friend and loved every moment.
Waking up in the morning and heading to Cocoa café for a cold brew coffee and then to the buffet for a freshly made to order omelet was the best way to start the day. Then, we would typically sit out at the beach chairs and enjoy the ocean breeze.
At noon we did aqua aerobics and at 4pm we did aqua Zumba both at the infinity pool. Fun for all ages. The entertainment team was top notch! Kevin brought the party and magic, Tania brought her Beautiful and kind smile, Miguel brought his fun and bubbly personality, Didier brought the energy. DJ Ivan and Luis kept the speakers running and the music fun. Managers Angel and Rebecca were so welcoming, you felt right at home!
The shows at night were the best I've seen at any resort I've been to, very impressive.
The food was good. My favorite restaurant were the hibachi and Asian which were located in the same restaurant (Himistu), so make sure you try both of them! Mr. Jorge was a fantastic server, he remembered our drinks after the first visit and made sure the bring more before you even asked. Portofino was a cute Italian restaurant, Alfredo was a welcoming and funny server, ask for him if you can! Bordeaux had great food, I recommend the French onion soup and short rib. El Patio, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
The rooms were very nice! Irma kept my room nice and clean and was so helpful. I just had a junior suite but it had more than enough space and amenities for me.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Family friendly with lots of activities. All inclusive costs are always expensive. Preferred Club All Inclusive costs are even more expensive and not worth the money in my personal opinion. We didnt want to risk being separated so we paid $2500 for the upgrade to preferred club to have connected rooms. We didn't receive $2500 in benefits but we did have our rooms connected.
The resort was great for family’s with kids. So many activities for the kids each day. The food is not good and tasteless. Even the specialty restaurants taste like cafeteria food. There were a couple good meal options. There are areas of the hotel that def look dated. The couch in our room smelled awful. The spa was pretty good and had a cool feel. The entertainment was better than expected. The beach is unusable. Overall it was a solid 3.5-4 star hotel.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026The availability of the restaurants is very bad; reservations are needed before 4 p.m., and only two slots are open per hour.
If you can't get a reservation, they send you to the buffet, which definitely needs a lot of variety and quality. I stayed 7 nights, and on 3 of them, I could book in à la carte restaurants. The service needs a lot of attention; it's noticeable that they need more staff to be able to serve the guests.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026We took our family of 17, four families ranging from age 69 to 3, for a vacation after a stressful number of years dealing with family health issues caring for 95 year old parents. The staff of Dreams was kind and welcoming at every offering. The food was fantastic! The buffet at World Cafe provided something for even our pickiest eaters. The adults agreed that the Oceana was their favorite meal, while the kiddos enjoyed ice cream and smoothies at Coco's Cafe. The variety of the pools provided a perfect match for the different age group interests, while their proximity layout allowed parents to observe the different groups from one central base. The Barefoot Grill was frequently utilized by all for food and drinks. The staff even served our 6 year old's, which made them feel very important. The rooms were so clean, and the tile floors, with the bathrooms just inside the entry door, allowed for a quick rinse-off of the young ones before they could contaminate the beds. The noise level in the hallways was acceptable. Our kids were possibly the loudest as they called to each other between rooms. There were lots of families. Our kids quickly found others their age that joined them in the lazy river and water slide. We loved the live music that happened almost every day.
Oh, and the spa! The highlight for our 18 year old granddaughter. She orchestrated a 'spa day' for all of the women. Definitely her highlight of the trip.
This was a good value for our large family. Everyone found something that captured their interest. We will definitely consider a return trip.

if you are a UVC member you can experience the hydrotherapy for 56 USD for 50 minutes it was well worth it and the was amazing. The waterpark, lazy river was really fun as well as the rock climbing. Reviewed Jun 20, 2026Overall, I would give this resort 3 to 3.5 stars. Those who work there are extremely friendly and make the resort enjoyable. I felt as though the resort was in okay shape but there was a lot of construction. As a consumer, I was unaware of this and around 4pm at the pool the jack hammering in the central location make it unpleasant.
The food was average with some bright spot, one being the Hibachi restaurant. The staff and chef were engaging and thoughtful.
Unfortunately, the seaweed made it impossible to swim in the ocean and the smell was nauseating. I walked down a few times, but couldn't do it and had to leave.
My kids had a great time, but were disappointed that they couldn't get on the zip line due to weight restrictions. I have 4 healthy kids aged 9-14 and none of them were of the proper weight to ride somehow.
The worst part of the trip was the sales team. Hard sales, say no to one and another pops up with another deal. After 2:45 minutes and me trying to leave for 45 minutes at that point, I finally got my point across. Just as an fyi, if you don't get them to signoff on you being there, you may lose a benefit and have to pay more.
With all of that said, my family and I did have a nice time together with the amenities and found ways to make the days exiting and the nights memorable.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The room was not cleaned properly daily, and it felt damp and humid the entire time we stayed there. The lack of cleanliness and poor room conditions made our stay very uncomfortable.
The worst part was discovering what appears to have been a bed bug problem. During our stay, my one-year-old developed numerous bites all over their body. After returning home, we had the bites evaluated by a doctor, who confirmed they were consistent with bed bug bites.
As a parent, it was heartbreaking to see my child covered in bites, uncomfortable, and constantly itching after what was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation. A hotel should provide a clean, safe environment for its guests, especially families with young children, and this hotel failed to meet even basic expectations.
This experience completely ruined our vacation. I strongly urge management to thoroughly inspect and address the cleanliness and pest issues so that other families do not have to go through the same ordeal. We will not be returning.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026Roger is the best! He made sure we were taken care of daily at the Preferred Pool. Our room (Preferred Club King Ocean View) was very spacious and comfortable. Very clean room and bathroom. Amenities - steamer, safe, shampoo, body wash and lotion. We also had a large couch sitting area in our room, unobstructed ocean view on balcony with a jacuzzi tub! Housekeeping did an excellent job when they came, floors always mopped and everything picked up (toddler). Beach was white fine sand but June is hot so sargassum naturally was to be expected. Staff did exceptional job with tractor and rakes to keep it as neat and clean as possible. While the beach water was still yucky from the incoming algae, it was still lovely beach air and blue water to look at further out. Missed swimming in the ocean directly but this is the time of year we picked to come, knowing the risk, we wanted whale shark season also. They did fireworks one night, lots of lobby music and karoake at night. Dining was obviously very kiddo friendly, nothing super fancy as the resort is catering towards families with kids. Zipline and water slides were fun. Toddler loves the lazy river. The ceviche at the preferred lunch Blue Water Grill was great. El Pario ceviche and barbacoa was also delicious. Definitely plan ahead when you arrive for your dinner reservations for days upcoming. Take plenty of sunscreen with you. Mangroves nearby are natural occurring and needed for preservation of Mexico’s beauty, yes there can be small crocodiles but if they are spotted, there are always lifeguards on watch to alert you. They do not allow ocean swimming after sunset for this reason. Everyone was so so nice. Kalena and concierge staff was lovely also. Would return but likely in the late fall or very early spring to enjoy the beach more.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2026The Kids Club was a highlight for our family—our children genuinely enjoyed the activities, and the staff were outstanding. The club provided a safe, engaging environment where both kids made new friends and looked forward to attending each day.
Unfortunately, our overall experience was impacted by several issues with the accommodations and service. Our air conditioning was not functioning, and we were initially moved to a room without elevator access that faced bushes, despite booking a partial ocean view. As UVC members, we did not receive our promised upgrade, even though the resort was not fully occupied. Only after expressing our concerns were we offered a room with a full ocean view.
The resort app was sometimes useful for requesting services, but it was often confusing and responses were delayed. We also encountered maintenance problems, including broken drawers, doors, and toilets. Drink quality varied significantly depending on the bar and bartender, affecting both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Additionally, we were not contacted by a UVC representative until our third day, and when we were, the interaction focused on another sales pitch rather than resolving our concerns. Overall, while the Kids Club exceeded expectations, the inconsistent service and room quality detracted from our stay.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026The entire experience was very nice. I typically prefer all adults but was forced to deviate on this trip. I was pleasantly surprised and would absolutely recommend this property for weddings and family friendly stays.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel's front-of-house staff has little regard for guest experience. At check-in, rather than walking us through the paperwork, the front desk attendant berated us simply for taking the time to read what we were being asked to sign.
We ended up leaving for a different hotel given the warning signs but had to return for a wedding celebration we were attending. Getting onto the property was a hassle and unfortunately, the hotel seemed to have wanted to punish us for choosing not to deal with their poor service. Everyone at the front of house seemed to have been briefed that we left from the bellmen to the front desk. Instead of inquiring about why we did not want to stay on their property, staff repeatedly demanded payment without offering any explanation of what the charges were for or why they were being applied. The entire interaction felt less like hospitality and more like an attempt to extract money from guests who didn't know better.
I have stayed at many resorts and have never encountered this complete lack of manners and poor service from a front-of-house team. The communication is dismissive, the attitude is unwelcoming, and the lack of transparency around billing is deeply concerning. For a property at this price point, there are far better options in the area that will treat you like a valued guest rather than a transaction. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Reviewed May 31, 2026We went for an anniversary trip. We really enjoyed our stay here. The restaurants were amazing both with food and wait staff. The ocean was closed due to current and seaweed, but that's out of their control. The beach itself was clean and amazing to enjoy. We did suffer through the vacation club pitch, but got a full body message out of it and enjoyed a couple other spa treatments while in the spa. Glad we upgraded our room to preferred as we enjoyed the perks that had to offer.

Reviewed May 25, 2026Overall a great family friendly resort. Our kids (7 and 5) had plenty to do from the lazy river to the water slides as well as loved swimming in our private swim up and the preferred club pools. The kids club was a great option with organized activities that the boys participated in one afternoon so we could enjoy a trip to the spa for their hydrotherapy circuit. The spa is so beautiful and unique and loved the cold/hot therapy water circuit that we were able o do as a couple. Dining options were good and we always found something we enjoyed on the menu. The drinks were well made and fairly consistent from one bar to the next. Our swim up room was very nice and the butler service was very helpful lining up dinners, spa services and transportation!
The beach wasn't the best and had a lot of seaweed so we only walked down to the beach once. Good thing the pools were nice and not crowded so still had plenty of sun and swimming time!

Reviewed May 25, 2026I had researched this property on Trip Advisor prior to this trip. We traveled for the wedding or our nephew. I must admit I would not have chosen a 'family friendly' all inclusive resort on my own, but I am sure glad we went! I had some pre-conceived ideas about All Inclusive resorts that proved to be totally wrong. There were quite a few negative reviews, but I did not experience any of the issues noted, such as issues getting a chair by the pool, uncomfortable pillows, and unresponsive staff. In fact, I wondered whether some of the reviewers had stayed at the same resort. I would add that I think the time of year you travel makes a difference. We prefer to travel non-peak, non spring break, non school vacation times. Some of your experience is within your control. Yes, there was a wedding every night we were there, but they were not as intrusive as some reviewers mentioned.
As many reviews here had noted, the service and staff were unparalleled in their excellence and attention to detail. From the moment you arrive you feel pampered and special. Some staff that stood out where Alexzander, Antonio and Ximena at the Blue Water Grill, Pablo and Roger at VIP Services, and Raphael at the Spa.
While there were plenty of kids present, most were very well behaved, and their parents seemed to be in control.
I will add that the insider tip to upgrade to the preferred club was well worth it. We had a lovely room, and access to the club lounge and the ala carte breakfast, which we enjoyed. We mostly ate at the ala carte restaurants and cafes and found the food to be of high quality and high standards, and the service excellent, and the portion sizes just right. Yes, as it was low season, not every restaurant was open every night, but with some planning you can sample them all. We also sampled the World Cafe buffet, and found that to be nice with many varied food choices.
We will definitely be vacations at this and other Dreams Resorts again. It was a wonderful, stress and worry free vacation.

Reviewed May 23, 2026My wife and I married at Dreams Natura in mid-May. Our coordinator, Grace, and her team were incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was perfect. She walked us through everything, was communicative, and took care of every little detail. Our rehearsal dinner was an international buffet which was delicious. It was initially scheduled for the beach but we asked to move inside due to how hot it was and Grace accommodated us with no problem. We had a welcome party on the beach the night before our ceremony. It included bar service, a fire pit, marshmallows and some tents. We opted to handle the playlist ourselves and I just connected Spotify which worked great. Grace was there to ensure a great time and even included a welcome sign and shoe rack which we weren’t expecting. She also provided a table for us to place welcome bags. The ceremony took place on the Bluewater rooftop and everything went off without a hitch. We held the service at 6:15ish which meant everyone was in the shade (60 guests). The decor was amazing. The photographer we selected, Ivan, was on top of everything. Photos were completed promptly so my bride and I could enjoy cocktail hour with our guests. Our cocktail hour was held at the fish pond with hors d'oeuvres, bar service and a Mexican trio. The trio added fun entertainment for all. Our reception was in the deck and they moved the decor from the rooftop down. Grace convinced us to opt for the fairy lights and LED dance floor which was 100% the right decision. We didn’t add any additional entertainment to the reception but Aldo (MC) and DJ Willy kept the energy high and had a great playlist (we didn’t provide any playlist, it was all them). The surf and turf dinner was delicious and got great reviews from our guests. Belisario and the rest of the wait staff were on point. They always ensured we had drinks in hand and plenty of water too! Since they were all with us from rehearsal to reception, they learned some of our drink orders. Our after party was held in the spa cave and was the highlight of the night. We had a DJ and late night tacos. Although it was a little hot and humid in the cave, our guests were having too much fun to really care. My wife and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect weekend for our wedding thanks to the Dreams Natura team. Please ask for Grace and you’ll have the same incredible experience we did. We can’t wait to go back!

Reviewed May 21, 2026We are experienced all-inclusive travelers — married at an El Dorado property, with multiple trips to Riviera Maya over the years — so we have a solid benchmark for what a well-run resort looks and feels like. We arrived at Dreams Natura as a family of four with toddler twins, booked into Preferred Club, genuinely excited for this trip. We left four days early. Here is our honest account of why.
---
**What Works**
The water park and lazy river are a genuine highlight and well maintained. The resort itself is visually attractive on the paper. A handful of food options across the property were edible but not enjoyable.
---
**Families With Young Children — Read This First**
If you are traveling with children under 3, be aware that the kids club does not accept them. That in itself is fair and disclosed. What is not disclosed clearly enough is that there are no family activities!! Aside from the tours which are before 9:40am for kids club and for teens club with arcades between 1:00-2:00pm — prime nap time for toddlers — and again at 6:00-7:00pm, which conflicts directly with dinner service. In practice this means there are virtually no organized family activities accessible to parents with children under 3. For a resort that markets itself as family friendly, this is a significant gap.
---
**Preferred Club — Not Worth the Premium**
We booked Preferred Club expecting a meaningfully elevated experience. What we received was largely the same product as the standard offering with minor cosmetic differences. The a la carte breakfast and lunch options under Preferred Club were poor quality — on par with or below the main buffet. The Preferred Club lounge stocked premium spirits but had almost no mixers beyond the most basic options. The minibar in the room was stocked with a cheap 200 ml bottle of vodka and little else. The pillow menu advertised was not available. Liquid hand soap had been replaced with a bar of soap. For the premium paid, the gap between expectation and reality was stark.
---
**Food Quality**
Across the property, food quality was consistently below what we would expect from even a 4 stars. Most options rated around a 3-4 out of 10. There were occasional exceptions that reached a 6-7 but a single dish. Fresh juices were not available — what was offered tasted like flavored sugar water. Coffee was poor quality with no cream available, only milk. Service at the buffet was minimal — plates were rarely cleared and coffee was not refilled.
---
**Noise**
Our original room faced the lobby area (room #2711) and the noise from events and music was significant well into the night — past 11:00pm on multiple occasions. We requested and received a room change, which helped somewhat, but we were informed that noise from weddings and receptions from the beach is present throughout most of the property. The only option presented to escape it was a Presidential Suite upgrade at approximately $2,000 USD additional — which we were also told still faces areas where weddings and receptions are held.
---
**Bedding and Maintenance**
The mattress in our room was visibly worn — with deep indentations on both sides and what felt like exposed springs. We raised this concern twice over two nights. The issue was not resolved. Replacement pillows were brought but were identical in firmness to the originals. For a Preferred Club room at this price point this is simply not acceptable.
---
**Service**
Service throughout the property was unfortunately the most consistent disappointment. Staff were not unfriendly, but attentiveness was poor across multiple venues and interactions. This felt less like individual staff failing and more like a systemic culture issue at the property level. A cup left at 5pm on a lounge chair by the beach was there at 11 am the next day; plates with food not cleared out long enough that a bunch of birds are congregating around it to the point that my kids were afraid of them.
Additionally, the water pressure outside of the room like in public bathrooms is super low if the tops are even working. We're honestly unsure how people wash their hands because we were regularly left with soapy hands without the ability to properly rinse them off. Not to mention that my 2.5 fully potty trained year-old were terrified of public bathrooms because it made a very loud noise when it automatically flushed. So we had to run to our suite every time my kids wanted to pee, because they were just refuse to pee in the public bathrooms.
---
**Final Thought**
Dreams Natura is not a bad resort — it is a mediocre one charging premium prices. The gap between what is marketed and what is delivered is wide enough that we made the decision to check out early and relocate. ( For the first time ever, and with a very hefty fee for transportation and obvious booking of the other resort) . We have traveled to many all-inclusives and understand that no resort is perfect. What we experienced here was not a matter of high expectations — it was a matter of basic standards not being met consistently. We hope the management team takes guest feedback seriously and invests in the areas outlined above. The bones of a good resort are here. The execution needs significant work.
We have come to a conclusion that the only people there are the ones incentivized by Hyatt reward points or membership loyalty status, which seems to create a wrong incentive structure as regardless of the facilities people remain locked in.

Reviewed May 15, 2026Went for a week as part of a destination wedding package for a cousin along with a dozen family members.
Biggest Pro is the staff - bartenders, servers, groundscrew, enertainment team - every person has a positive attitude and a smile on their face all hours of the day. Incredibly friendly and happy to practice Spanish with any non-spanish speaking guest.
Food was as expected for an all-inclusive, very middle of the road. Breakfast buffet was convenient and vast; get reservations at Bordeaux - it's the best restaurant on site. One day we booked a fishing expedition and brought our catch back to the head chef at Oceana who then cooked it up in a variety of ways for us for that night's dinner - very delicious!
Cons - so many. As mentioned, this was for a family wedding so not my choice of resort. They didn't keep up with cleaning our room and as a result we got bedbugs in our bed and big red bites all up and down our legs and arms. The fire alarm went off several times day & night while we were there (no fire of course). Any bathroom outside your hotel room was bound to be broken or partially functional on any given day. The water attractions were cool but one of the slides was roped off and no attempt at a fix was made for any of the 8 days we were there.
Biggest con - it is cost-prohibitive to leave campus. Dreams does NOT allow any taxi or Uber to come pick up guests for any excursion; you HAVE to book rides out of Dreams through Dreams themselves. We wanted to go into town to shop & eat local and they charged us $120 US for our party of 6 people. For comparison, we took an Uber back to Dreams for $13 US. That's a one hundred dollar difference! Additionally, Dreams is surrounded by alligator-infested wetlands and a single three-mile road from the main highway, so there's no easy way to leave campus on foot, either.
Dreams is what you would expect for an all-inclusive. I would recommend either Moon Palace or finding a room up in the Hotel Zone.

Reviewed May 13, 2026My family and I have been vacationing at Dreams and a Secrets resorts for years, we truly love the quality and luxury of each stay. This time around our stay was unusually disappointing to say the least. A 700 person convention was being hosted during our stay, something I wouldn’t be upset about if I as staying at a Hilton or a Marriott because it’s expected. We chose Dreams because it’s supposed to be more on the luxury side of resorts. It was a complete nightmare, sections of the resort were closed off on the daily to all guests and were shooed off because of this convention. The evening show which is regularly hosted in a large auditorium was crammed in the lobby every night because the convention booked the auditorium and the buffets were a complete jungle. People literally shoving over food was the point of no return. We spoke to our UVC representative and he mentioned Dreams Natura is the only one that hosts conventions and they typically host larger conventions, he said this 700 person convention was one of the smaller ones. We ended up paying $800 more for a “Preferred” upgrade so we could be more comfortable in more exclusive areas only to find out a ton of the convention guests algo got the same perk taking away that exclusivity. The “Preferred” section was crowded too. I would not recommend this Dreams as it is already a small property and add on a business style conversation to that just makes for an awful experience. If you are looking for a Dreams in Cancun I recommend Dreams Playa Mujeres, that property is two times bigger and the experience is amazing. We’ve visited that property twice and regret not going a third. That dreams is top tier luxury for your family. Please avoid this property at all costs. The worst.

My balcony was near the waterpark and when it was open I could hear the children enjoying themselves, but when I closed my balcony doors I could hear nothing! I never heard any other rooms above or below me except for maybe a couple times which is expected, so I feel like the noise was kept down very nicely in these rooms. The pools were always clean, restaurants were easy to get into, and I love the small additional touches and amenities in the room!

Reviewed May 11, 2026Incredible resort for families of all ages. Just returned from a week long stay with a 10 person family and here is our honest review.
Pros:
Location is prime. Aside from the fact that we ran into a slight delay of our arrival due to traffic from a collision.. the resort is 20 mins from cancun airport and a short distance from the highway.
The food and drink is great. There are several options at all hours of the day. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of options and the Bluewater grille has a great plate of Steak and Eggs. The French “Bordeaux” was our personal favorite. Very upscale feel and nicely plated food. Braised Beef Short Rib fell off the bone and the Duck Confit was second to none, shoutout to our great waiter Roger. Our family loved the Italian “Portofino”, the Chicken Parmesan was very flavorful. Oceana had great seafood and The Teppanyaki as per usual is a great option. (Save time and don't do the El Patio, it’s just okay). The beach bar has a great sushi bar you have to try as well. Several drink options, but our family found the swim up bar made the best drinks.
Pools: Awesome. Always clean and several options. Lagoon pool for kids was perfect depth and the infinity pool had a great view of the ocean. The lazy river was a hit for our family as we have young kids who loved the buckets of water falling on you periodically.
Beach: only downfall… the water is not exactly clean, as moderate amounts of seaweed… but the staff do a phenomenal job keeping the sand spotless.
Rooms. Very nice, comfortable beds and great room service. We had celebrated an anniversary and staff had arranged for a wine bottle service.
Service: On point. Our poolside waiter Omar was very prompt with all of our requests, and brought great energy for our group.
Addressing common concerns..It is a very nice looking resort that draws attention for weddings. The noise can pickup towards the end of the night, but not horribly. All dependent on your building. We found ours (3000 building) perfect. Lastly… we did not see any crocodiles but we did see 3 guards monitoring the mangroves and water for everyone’s safety.
Overall… We would return. The resort has a very upscale feel for being a “kids resort” and the staff do a great job.

Needless to say I would never go back there again.
Would not recommend for families looking for luxury experience. Not a lot of activities for kids, entertainment options were too late, no chairs open after 8am in preferred club section of beach, staff did not make an effort to meet specific requests, etc.

Reviewed Jan 1, 2026It was our second time at this resort and now I know why we went back! We do not usually go to resorts twice unless it’s marvelous and Dreams Natura was! What made it as magical as it was were the people. From the moment we arrived, we checked in with Roberto. He did everything possible to make sure we had a wonderful check in and anniversary trip. I asked him to check many things and he took the initiative to do what he needed to make sure we had were happy. Moving on for concierge — Fernanda and Julio were so amazing. I had to store mother’s milk and they ensured it was safe! On the preferred lounge we encountered Leonardo who went through high waters to get what our daughter wanted instead of saying: I’m sorry we don’t have that. At the blue grill we found another here gem: the hostess Ximena. It was our last day and we didn’t have much time. Our waiter was very busy and she stepped in and got everything we needed so the kids could get breakfast before we left. Last but not least— Rebeca - at the kids club is so professional and caring. If you venture to the spa then ask for Crystal which will help you regenerate your mind, body, and soul. She was the best massage therapist I have had in a long time. Reviewed Dec 31, 2025Fun Christmas getaway with family and friends! Dreams Natura has a small footprint with well-kept grounds and excellent pools. This resort has a number of activities that are great for kids and adults. My kids enjoyed the lazy river, big slides, rock climbing wall, roll glider, multiple pools and beach area. The adults in our group loved the swim-up bar! We also had fun in the sushi making class and margarita making class. The spa was ok. Not the best massage I've ever had. Golf is an additional charge off-site, but my husband and son enjoyed playing at El Tinto. Overall this was a fun family getaway.

Reviewed Dec 29, 2025This is a very family oriented resort - young family specific. The pool area isn’t huge- it’s narrow. Swim up bar is not connected to the main pool which is a pain. Playing ball toss in the pool is bound to splash or hit someone so do with caution.
Smaller resort which is nice for convenience. “Teen club” is more for kids. This is not a “teen” friendly resort - very tailored to smaller kids.
Daily entertainment is lacklustre. LOTS of Zumba…. Little else.
Rooms are nice and big- lots of space to move around - we even got a roll away bed so each kid had their own place to sleep with standard room. Resort is clean and nice. No issues there.
Beach is crap - avoid this resort if that is what you are into. They have crocodile warning signs and the beach itself is small and not appealing with lots of seaweed and a tractor that goes back and forth all day.
Nightly vibe is decent- there are different options which is nice so you aren’t stuck watching a show if you don’t want to. Lobby music was great overall- loud if you plan on going to bed early though as it echos through the resort until 11.
Italian restaurant is the best one- don’t waste your time at the Asian one - it’s literally gross as is the Mexican one (yes they messed up Mexican food).
Buffet is big, lots of options, overall good just gets tiring after so many days. Bars are good across the resort, they know how to make a drink!
Service doesn’t come with a smile unless you tip EVERY time you get something which is annoying especially by the pool or beach.the beach/pool bar people will just ignore you altogether for the most part. Sales people are petty - all or nothing. Avoid the 2 hour sales pitch and just pay the extra money otherwise it’s just cut eye and cold shoulder the rest of your trips not worth saving $250 unless you are cool with that stuff. (They say 90 mins but close to 3 hours for us).
Lazy river and slides are all shaded- so on non sunny or hot days it’s a little chilly. It’s also VERY windy here so the hot hot heat isn’t really there. Was a red flag the whole time we were there meaning no water activities = boring! No one swam much either - most people stayed in the pool as the seaweed was extreme.
Would I go back? Probably not. Was it terrible? Hardly. Just not for us personally.

Reviewed Dec 28, 2025The room was perfectly fine. I like hard beds so no issue there. However, the bathroom doors for the toilet and shower kept sliding open. There was also damage to the door that exposed a hole in the glass with sharp edges...not ideal for children.
The food was terrible. Cold food in the overcrowded buffet was the feature of our stay. Undercooked meat without the usual pairing options e.g. Beef and potatoes? Difficult to get a second drink from the staff due to how busy it was. The overall quality was poor. The restaurants were actually worse than the buffet. Terrible menus with limited choice and the food quality was poor. I left feeling terrible with indigestion and acid reflux...I can only think this was due to the terrible quality food I had been eating.
It was impossible to get a sun lounger around the pool. Other guest were resevingthem from 7am despite signs and tickets on every lounger. The policy was not enforced by the staff and we had to sit on the floor whilst the kids played in the pool.
There is a prefered member pool and we booked to be in the Prefered category. It stated that Prefered was was for couples and children but the Prefered Pool didn't allow kids. Made no sense. There was also an adults only sun terrace which was actually some loungers on a flat roof. I never saw it used and the place was packed. The Rendezvous Bar in the lobby (strange in itself) was a wind tunnel for the constant onshore wind. Nowhere near enough space for guests and not set out correctly for the shows that are conducted there.
The kids club was ok but they lost our 4 year old son's clothes on the first day and didn't supervise him enough to facilitate him getting changed in and out of his swimming clothes to take part in all the activities. You are given a buzzer by the club which is constantly going off requiring you to go back to the club to see what the issue is. This does not happen at Club Med!

Reviewed Dec 28, 2025This hotel markets itself as a five-star resort, but the reality is closer to an overcrowded, poorly managed three-star at best. It was not worth the money and we will never return.
The room itself was acceptable on the surface, though even that fell apart on closer inspection. The bathroom doors for both the toilet and shower constantly slid open, offering zero privacy. Worse still, there was visible damage to the door with a hole in the glass and sharp exposed edges — completely unacceptable and frankly dangerous, especially in a family room with children.
The food, however, was the real disaster. The buffet was overcrowded, chaotic, and consistently served cold, low-quality food. Meat was undercooked, basic pairings were missing, and getting a second drink was almost impossible due to overwhelmed staff. The à la carte restaurants were somehow even worse than the buffet, with laughably limited menus and food that was poor in both quality and execution. By the end of the stay, I was suffering from indigestion and acid reflux — something I can only attribute to days of eating this awful food.
The pool situation was a complete farce. It was impossible to get a sun lounger, despite clear signage stating reserving loungers was not allowed. Guests ignored the rules from as early as 7am and staff did absolutely nothing to enforce their own policy. As a result, we were left sitting on the floor while our children used the pool. Completely unacceptable for a hotel charging premium prices.
The so-called “Preferred” category was another example of misleading marketing. We booked Preferred based on the description stating it was suitable for couples and children, yet the Preferred pool did not allow kids at all. This made absolutely no sense. The adults-only sun terrace was little more than a few loungers dumped on a flat roof — unused, uninspiring, and clearly an afterthought.
The layout of the resort was equally baffling. The Rendezvous Bar being placed in the lobby was strange enough, but it was essentially a wind tunnel, constantly battered by onshore winds. There was nowhere near enough seating for the number of guests, and it was poorly configured for the shows held there. The entire place felt cramped, badly planned, and overwhelmed.
The kids club was passable at best, but even there standards slipped. On the first day, they managed to lose our four-year-old son’s clothes. Supervision was lacking, and staff did not adequately help him change in and out of swimming gear so he could participate fully in activities. Parents are given a buzzer that constantly goes off, forcing repeated trips back to the club — something that simply does not happen at better-run resorts like Club Med.
Overall, this hotel is grossly overpriced, badly managed, and nowhere near five-star quality. Poor food, poor organisation, misleading descriptions, and zero enforcement of basic rules ruined what should have been a relaxing family holiday. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
