Staff were professional and very polite
Beer prices a little expensive
Clean, good food, nice staffs
Beautiful hotel with a nice mix of old and new buildings, set in lovely countryside.
Service with a smile 😃
Everything!
Clean
Big comfortable bed and room had lovely big windows
Room was nice, spa facilities were basic but nice. Just awful times to work around with kids.
Food wasn’t very good, over priced and not very eatable! Breakfast was cold. Evening meals were even worse. Everything we ordered during our stay sometime was wrong.
Dinner was amazing Clean Nice garden
This hotel is not a 4 star hotel- felt like a house converted into a hotel, ceiling was screeching as people above us were moving, you could hear everything- people coughing or flushing their toilet! Rooms were pretty basic , definitely not worth the £250 a night ! We were asked to say exactly what time we would be having breakfast because of the capacity of the restaurant!
the stay
booking.com messed up we paid to include breakfast but that had not been communicated to the hotel we had to pay an additional 60GBP BOOKING.COM NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE
The food was very good, both breakfast and evening meal..
The service of food was a little slow (evening meal) and a mislaid order of dessert didn't help..
Spa and room were nice and breakfast
Nothing was all good
It wasn’t easy as my partner is disabled which required me to select his breakfast and to get his drinks as we have a dog we ate in The Oak Lounge. Unfortunately as we had wanted a complete rest for me and peace and quiet it wasn’t helpful to be seated by a large family with young children despite asking for a table in a quiet area
Please see above. Also having a dog and only being allowed to use the main entrance which was a considerable walk from 109 when she needed to go out didn’t enhance our stay. Also we arrived at 1.45 on Sunday to find the only food available was the full Sunday Roast - we compromised with cheeseboard and a dessert we’d book for dinner which wasn’t very good and only Luke warm. There was only one member of staff in the Oak and he was doing a Stirling job trying to serve everyone- I didn’t think it fair to cause him any additional work.
Booking was smooth and easy. Staff were helpful throughout. Facilities spa and gym were good.
Breakfast finished alittle early 8-10am Shower in the room was kept getting blocked. Hallway /room could do with being updated to go with the rest of the building.
Breakfast, pleasant staff.
Rooms a bit dated, need freshened up, ,no proper bedside pedestal, just half moon shaped small shelf , bathroom , no storage for toilet bags , no were to put anything, bit over priced for what your getting, Had better.
Everything the staff was amazing and so welcoming x
Nothing
Plenty of choice. Great location and countryside views. Friendly staff. Good service
Nothing, a good weekend away
I am really happy with the service and facilities but I made the booking through booking.com and they says the property gives the invoice and they refuse says I need to ask to booking.com . It’s not really nice as a customer as they agreed before stays provide it on checkout and which doesn’t happen
Location
The noise pollution from the party that lasted all night and ruined our stay
Booking.com
Should have more halal food options And some extra stuff for kids
Great location. Beautiful hotel surrounded by countryside but close to amenities. Large secure car park. Lovely gardens and patio areas with plenty of tables and chairs. Excellent restaurant, food was delicious. Comfy stylish bar with good selection of beers and wines. Quiet, clean and nicely decorated large bedroom. Good complimentary products. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The website photos don't do the hotel justice.
The staff were super friendly, they were incredibly helpful with reccomendations of things to do in the local area and were polite and professional at all times. The location is fantastic and bar the works going on and a bit of noise it was very restful and picturesque. The spa is wonderful as well and during quiet times was a pleasure to be in. The food at the resteraunt was fantastic and we really enjoyed our meals. Breakfast when we went early was simple but exatly what was needed.
Our only critique was that after a lot of people had been in the spa the chlorine levels got a bit much. Early on in the day it was wonderful, very warm due to the window being broken and unable to open but didnt sting or hurt any chests. After lunchtime and in the evening, after more people had been in, unfortunately we found that being in there for more than a minute stang our eyes and hurt our chests, and as the window was unable to open to alleviate the chlorine in the air we couldnt stay in the hot tub/pool area. If the window was able to open to make the spa area more tolerable this would have been 10/10 review
Beds very comfortable Staff very accommodating Location & garden beautiful
Unfortunately there was no bacon beans eggs or bread ready at 9.15 am we had to tell waitresses and had to wait for 15 minutes for hot counter to be replenished
Plenty of parking. Clean spacious room. The food was definitely the highlight for me! I had the seabass and I’ve never tasted anything as good before! Staff in the restaurant were brilliant.
Despite being nominated for Wales Spa of the Year, I didn't think it was anything exceptional. There are other spas in Wales that I feel are definitely more deserving. The bed was too soft for my liking. Additionally, the gentleman on the reception desk didn't give the friendliest welcome; he sped through the information, and when I asked him to clarify a point, he suddenly raised his voice.
Good location made it easy to visit plenty of places via express way. Hotel rooms comfortable but the rest of the hotel looks a little tired. Staff lovely though nothing to much trouble. Very pleasant stay.
Hotel is good but the signing, off the roundabout could be made clearer more prominent. Easy to miss it.
Very clean and well maintained inside. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful.
Could do with more signs to rooms, outside of the building needs a little updating. Air conditioning?
Lovely staff, great hotel. Impressive bar and restaurant area. Use of indoor spa was an excellent bonus. Probably the nicest hotel spa we have experienced. Would definitely recommend and love to stay again.
For a 4 star hotel we would have expected more top up of teas, coffees and toiletries. We would also have expected 3 glasses and 3 mugs as there were 3 guests.
Location and ambience
A wedding party was there on 1st night and when we got up the following morning the outside had not been brushed or cleaned - cigarette ends etc. on the floors and beer bottle toos on tables.
The hotel went above and beyond to make sure me and my family were well looked after at all times
-
The hotel grounds were lovely, and the hotel was excellent. Friendly helpful staff. The food was exceptional.. The spa was also excellent, and the treatment we had was amazing. Our room was very clean and comfortable with everything you need.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Location
spa - poor as once five children in swimming pool, no room for anyone else room service - QR did not work and they were going to charge me £10 to take the food up around 10 steps to my room room - pillows exceptionally uncomfortable and inappropriate duvet for weather
Nice peaceful location. Really nice spa. Excellent meal in the restaurant, and great breakfast. No problem getting a table at breakfast, even though the hotel was apparently nearly full.
I really like a room with a bath rather than a shower. It would be helpful if this could be specified in the room descriptions so I can choose a room which has a bath.
Great pool and facilities
Nothing much. Breakfast could have more items.
Rustig gelegen
Veel te duur voor wat het was Douch is onderaan beschimmeld Nachtlampen naast het bed werken niet

The location of the hotel. 0
The dining menu in the evening is fairly basic, not enough choice. The beer and alcohol is over priced.
Nice size rooms, location was very nice and peaceful
The bar & restaurant were really nice
Overall the hotel was very impressive, lovely décor and beautiful big rooms. The spa was excellent, I used the pool, sauna and steam room. I also used the gym which was decent too. Big changing rooms as well, which were immaculate. Our room was spacious and a good price for what you got. However the walls are a little thin because we could really hear our neighbours. The majority of the food was excellent, especially the Sunday Roast which was superb. However our deserts on the Sat evening were tasteless and bland and both over priced for such a small amount of food One thing that let the hotel down was the staff. The lady on reception looked miserable and never smiled at us once. The girl on the Monday morning for breakfast was the same, grumpy and not friendly, like she hated being there. And the manager was a bit off with us when we complained about one of the deserts, he was a little rude and not sympathetic at all. Despite the staff, the experience was still very good, and I would definitely consider returning in the future. Hopefully some happier staff working next time haha!
As mentioned above, a few issues with staff and deserts that let the restaurant down Otherwise no complaints
Beautiful place miserable woman in reception
Rude receptionist
Excellent pool and spa facilities
NA
Great location, I was driving North and it is just off the A55 so perfect for the journey. Still very quiet location. Excellent facilities and the food in the brasserie was superb.
The only minor issue was that because of the position of my room, it was a bit noisy with people passing by the door. Although I think this was exaggerated on the night I stayed because a lot of the other rooms were taken by a wedding party who were coming and going from each others’ rooms. It wasn’t a big deal.
Really lovely room and very clean.
Sometimes we had to wait for Bar Staff to arrive at the bar.
Spa and food
Evening meal in Brasserie was good. Garden was peaceful and well maintained
Reception was often unattended,?as was the bar. Furniture in bedroom shabby. Signage on approach road to hotel wasn’t visible until you passed it!
It’s amazing spa is so nice
Breakfast so nice
Beautiful setting
Bathroom smells damp(room217)
great location for visiting North Wales sights, Spa was not over crowded was able to relax after a day out
Room didn't have enough plugs sockets at the dressing table had to up plug telephone for wife to use hair dryer and Hair straighter Tea, Coffee and kettle in wardrobe had to use plug other side of the room Breakfast time ran out of sausages had to wait for new batch, beans were cold
Enjoyed are stay food and staff where brilliant but would be better if there was a little more to do on the site we only stayed one night and found we got a little board whilst there
Not enough to do whilst there
Location and room spacious
Nothing
The setting is beautiful. The restaurant was very good
The room smelled damp when arrived, and the smell came from the bathroom. It looked lovely and has been renovated beautifully but smelled horrible. I was in Room 217.
Always very nice to stay , clean , staff very helpful & welcoming
Convenient to client
A bit dated Very small room for price
Restaraunt amazing food
Good location for us, very comfortable. Staff on the whole were excellent. They were stretched at times, but that is a management issue.
My grandson stayed a few nights sharing a room and bed with his mother. Not happy to pay the extra £20 a night as there was literally no extra cost to the hotel.
Absolutely everything Perfect location Great size room Fantastic food Relaxing pool and spa Lovely staff
Couldn’t find fault
Very helpful staff. Beautiful spa with exceptional facilities. Beautiful setting. Great restaurant and very good staff.
The sauna was a bit too hot!!
1. Poor initial service at dinner Fri night...group were just left unattended for circa 15 minutes, not even drink orders taken....staff had to be chased.......also when main meal came, 8 meals arrived, then about 5 minute wait for the 9th person's meal.... 2. Fri night - thai green curry was tasteless .....all other dishes issued to group of about 9 went down well 3. swipe card problem at 1am Sun morning (did not work....heard other guests had similar problems with their swipe cards)...had to wake up night porter 4. being woken by guest shouting outside at 3am to be 'let in'....
The views where incredible, lots of outdoor space, spa facilities where very clean and accommodating. All the hotel was clean all through. Car park was free which is a rarity.
Breakfast room was far too hot. No windows or doors open and the sun was shining outside. Had to wait a while for fresh sausage and bacon to be cooked but the sausage were worth the wait. Cheese board could have been slightly bigger.
Staff attentive and efficient. Decent breakfast
Bit overpriced for standard double room
Clean and comfortable beds. A nice quiet and clean room and en suite. Pleasant and helpful staff. A very nice hotel.
Hard to get taxis from the hotel. So pre book before you go if needed.
The setting is beautiful. Lots of lovely staff. The room was quite large and the bed was huge and very comfy. We stayed in a junior suite and it had all the extras you would need. Bathroom quite large with shower and separate bath. Breakfast was delicious. The bar was chilled and bar staff friendly. Our dog was welcomed too.
Breakfast isn't all buffet. The cooked breakfast is made to order from a set menu. Some places need a little attention to detail in terms of decorating, tiles in bathroom and edging of paintwork.
The Hotel was superb My family and me had a great time. The food was great. Only i feel they should increase the time slots for family swimming. Not a complaint just a suggestion.
N.a.
Beautiful garden, brilliant spa, lovely restaurant and drinks. Comfy bed and very clean. Staff all friendly and good at what they do.
Nothing
The Jacuzzi was the most massive I've ever encountered in 30-odd years of countless hotel stays. Temperature and water were good. Pool excellent. Sauna and steam room best I've ever visited. Parking was easy and spacious. Staff were polite and helpful. The rooms were well presented. There were modern sockets with USB charging ports. 5G signal was very good in this area (around 80Mbps download speed), so I did not need to use Hotel Wi-fi.
Several lockers in the changing room were out of commission or would not close properly. I checked about 10 of them. It took 15 minutes to find one that worked. This has nothing to do with the manual entry of the code. It was about the latch not engaging the groove in which it is meant to slide into. This is not a sudden problem on the day because so many were not working. Do not rely on guest feedback to monitor this. The lockers should be audited every 2 weeks or so. The rain shower in the room did not work. But another shower head did on the same fitting.
All superb 👍🙂
The staff were great and the location is perfect for me.
Everything fine
Expensive for what was on offer. If you are doing more Healthy options please include More fruit and Breakfast creams
Lack of staff in the bar area. Had to wait almost 30 mins before we could Get a drink or something to Eat
The food was amazing
In the middle of no where
menu in the night not great
Room was lovely and clean .
I was really disappointed with the communication. Before booking, I called to ask about food options and even followed up with a message where I mentioned it again. I was only told about the evening restaurant, and at no point was I informed that light bites or afternoon tea were available during the day. Because of this, we didn’t go straight to the hotel and instead wasted time going into the centre to find something to eat. It was extremely frustrating to then discover at check-in that daytime food was actually available. We could have spent that extra time enjoying the hotel and its surroundings. The spa area was also a let down. It clearly needed better attention, as there were used towels, glasses, and empty cups left lying around. Overall, this really impacted our experience.
Location. Access to North Wales coast. Welcoming front desk staff. Accomodating, informative and friendly. Good check in/out times
Front of house staff member at breakfast. Not friendly at all Visitors continuingly having to request hot food items. Dirty used dishes left on table both between courses and when visitors left dining area.
Staff was super friendly, well presented and professional. They couldn't do enough for us. Room was a great size, cleaned daily with fresh towels and warm. We had 2 dogs with us and they settled well. The spa use was complimentary we didn't pay extra and the spa was brilliant. Clean and had brilliant facilities for the price you pay to stay. The gym equipment needs upgrading particularly the treadmills but fine otherwise. Hotel was really central for everything all the main towns Llandudno etc only 20 mins away
The TV in the room could hav been a bit more modern as in smart TV but it was a minor thing as with the spa we weren't in the room much. The treadmills in the gym need upgrading.
Nice relaxing . Food was excellent
Was very happy with the service
Nothing
Hotel & Grounds initial impression was good
Around 1.5 hours after drinking a pint of draft larger in the hotel, I became severely unwell. I spent the entire night in the bathroom vomiting and suffering with severe diarrhoea, which was an extremely unpleasant experience. My wife attempted to contact the night porter a few times for water and assistance but no one answered the phone, leaving us without any support during the night while I was very ill. In the morning around 7:30am my wife had to search for staff members, their response was dismissive and lacked any concern. She made it clear that whatever I had eaten or drank at the hotel had caused me to be seriously ill throughout the night, yes this did not appear to be taken seriously.
