Kronglete innsjekk om du har æ ø å i navnet ditt. Dette burde fikses. Bestilte tremannssrom for å få to senger (ikke alle det passer å dele dobbeltseng med) men ekstrasengen var låst. Ellers et flott hotell, med fint fellesområdet og nye fine rom.

From the posting it is not immediately clear the hotel does not have any service on site, or that it is nested within a shopping center with an entry difficult to access. Having those facts in the posting is an important deciding factor for travelers. More detailed feedback: no bathroom fan/air circulation, a cupboard is installed at head-heigh in a very dangerous and inconvenient location.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights and it served our needs very well. The check in was chaotic - being told to expect an sms with room details etc only to receive the sms 36 hours later !!! - but once in everything was fine. If the check in does not work well - and others checking in also had problems - for goodness sake have someone to hand easily.

Frich’s was clean, quiet, and much nicer than expected given that it is unstaffed. Highly recommend!

It is the same building as a shopping mall.

Nice euro standard. Modern. Clean. Nice shared lounge area where you can bring your food and prep the breakfast. (There are 3 grocery stores 1-3 min walk)…Ah! Our room was on the river side- nice view!!! And peaceful overall. Safe parking.

Eten doe je in de buurt. Er is enkel koffie. Voor een echt ontbijt moet je elders naartoe. De kamer en bedden waren comfortabel.

Helt greit rom, mye støy fra veien utenfor. Ingen kaffe på rommet, selv om det var lovet i velkomstskrivet.

The hotel rooms are not large but are very clean modern and convenient. Plenty of common area space with ample seating, there is a large conference room. Plenty of parking and Tesla EV recharging stations. Grocery Store at the ground floor has hot and frozen food options. Cafe is on the second floor. OnSite Coffee machine makes very strong coffee.

Sometimes requests were taken care of quickly but other times fell on deaf ears, without any type of response. Conveniently located next to shopping mall with grocery stores.

The hotel was self-service for everything, check-in and out. If you need anything like extra bedding, general questions etc you don’t have anyone to ask to. In the ad it said it had air conditioner but this was absolutely not true, not even in the común area, it was suffocating and extremely hot, we couldn’t sleep, also the double bed was very soft and uncomfortable. Never staying there again.

Hotellet ligger i ett köpcentrum med en stor parkeringsplats utanför så inte så mysigt, å andra sidan är utsikten mot fjällen magnifik så det väger upp. Rummet var bra, rent och stort badrum, men man hör bilarna utanför eftersom man måste öppna fönstret då det var jättevarmt.

Må ha mer info om innsjekking. Må opplyse hva du skal gjøre med kortet. Legge det inn mot skjermen eller legge det ned på displayet og vent en stund. Flere veteraner som hadde slitt med det samme. Når vi fikk gjort dette riktig, var alt veldig greit😊

The check in process was tedious, the machine did not work. After trying almost an hour I tried calling hotels.com which did not recognized the itenary number. So I was stuck with not being able to talk to an operator or person. Anyhow, alnost after 2 hours we Finally received help and got the rooms. The rooms very very nice with a good view. However, try ti stay away from rooms 1, 2 and3 as illmanned people tend to gather there laste at night and early in the morning, disturbing your sleep and stay. The staff was very very nice and helpful, when available.

The apartment was on the fourth floor with no lift. Difficult to manage with luggage and physical limitations.

Quite far from railroad station and buses. Directions to check in are confusing. No soap/shampoo in bathroom.

This hotel was quite an experience as checking in and out is done in a terminal. No person in sight. The hotel is on a third floor, part of a nice shopping mall.

Die Unterkunft wurde 10 Monate im voraus gebucht und es waren kaum Gäste da. Trotzdem erhielten wir ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Parkplatz und die Hauptstraße, anstatt auf die wunderschöne Aussicht des Gebirges

Good hotel in a good spot to go to Trollstigen! Nice, clean, centrally located. Check in/out could be smoother like scanning a QR code instead of having to look up booking references. You have to type in all booking references if you book more than one room using the same name.

It’s a unstaffed hotel but very clean and comfortable. Checkin was very easy

It was easy to find and had free parking. The rooms were very up to date, but small (as everywhere in Norway). The checkin was confusing because I was supposed to get a sms with the door code, but it never arrived. I got lucky because someone who worked there happened to come out of the door and gave me the code.

Vi hadde mye bra vær og utrolige tur over Romsdalseggen. Transporten dit virket enkelt og trygg .

Var litt skesptisk til å sjekke inn uten noen annsatte tilstede, men det gikk kjempefin og raskt. Ingen problemer i det hele tatt. Fine rom og oppholdrommet var pent og rent. Kunne kanskje vært fint med noen bord og stoler så man kunne sitte å spise fokosten ved et bord, Ikke bare en en bar.

Greit nok for overnatting,men helt selvbetjent.Ikke mulighet for frokost og ikke kjøleskap på rommet eller vannkoker .Kun en stol i tillegg til senga.

Totalt sett veldig bra, men vi ble litt overrasket over at det var selvbetjent innsjekking (noe som var helt greit, men overraskende), ingen rengjøring mens vi var der (det gikk fint, men trodde at bl.a. søppel ble tømt og brukte håndklær ble skiftet ut), og ingen frokost. Alt dette burde det vært opplyst tydelig om!!

Nice stay in this hotel. It is very basic, but common areas are cozy and coffee is free with self serve. Place has no breakfast, so ESSO gas station is the best option for this. Price was high compared to other places we visited in Norway, maybe because Åndalsnes might having a low hotel room capability? Nice view to the mountains from our room 😃

Det felles oppholdsrom var svært bra. Problemet var den utfordrende kaffemaskin. Jeg var ikke alene om å streve med den. Da er det et problem at det ikke er personale på stedet. Ellers bra.

This hotel has no staff so you need to check yourself in. There was no breakfast, but there was a grocery store next door for supplies.

The unmanned check in worked seamlessly. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the coffee machine in the common area was not working and there are no facilities in the rooms themselves. I’d recommend though based on the value. The views from the room were also great!

We stayed one night and it was good, clean and nearby to shopping.

Es läuft alles kontaktlos, aber auch reibungslos. Check-in und out per Automat klappt perfekt. Hotel scheint neu zu sein, denn die Zimmer waren tadellos. Liegt direkt an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße, aber dennoch nachts ruhig. Gut isoliert. Liegt in einem Einkaufszentrum außerhalb des Zentrums. Supermarkt bis ca. 7 bis 22 Uhr geöffnet. Frühstück entweder in einem Café im Einkaufscenter (ab 10) oder in Åndalsnes. Im Hotel gibt es Kaffee oder Tee inklusive. Stadtmitte Åndalsnes ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg.

Easy arrival and practical stay.

Konseptet selvbetjent hotell fungerer ikke. Vanskelig å finne, vanskelig innsjekking, ikke nrk på tv, ingen nødvendige tilleggsputer på rommet, kaffemaskin på fellesrom fungerte ikke/i ustand, ingen frokost på noen kafe eller annet i nærheten. Pris bare marginalt lavere enn tilsvarende hotell med resepsjon og frokostsal. Anbefales ikke!

Without a person present we had a very frustrating experience. We wanted to drop our luggage before check in so we could do other activities and there was no space for that. I also could not check in because the machine did not work. It was really a terrible experience. If you need any help there is no one to help or get another towel or pillow. I will never use a hotel like this again.

Overraskende enkelt og grei innsjekk. Rommet var greit og. Tilpasset handikapp.

Fantastic property and completely self-serviced. Good for shorter stays. Beautiful view of the river outside from the window. 10 min walk to town center and attractions. No food or dining options but the Esso fuel station near by serves waffles, baked items and nice varieties of coffee for breakfast.

Heilt greitt hotel, men den elektroniske innsjekkinga var ikkje heilt oppegåande. Måtte ha telefonstøtte frå hovudkontoret. Ingen på plassen til å gje brukarstøtte

Terrible check-in experience. I didn’t receive an SMS to my international number with pin to open the main door. It took about an hour to receive that information from the property by email after numerous calls to Expedia support, Expedia did a great job and even found for me an alternative hotel because the agent was unable to reach out to the property manager while was calling to all available numbers and sending the emails. The contact number that I found close to the self-check-in screen was switched off. The brand new room was perfectly clean and comfortable for a one night stay. The property is located next to the gas station and it’s about 15-20 min from the train station. The hotel was pretty expensive and it wasn’t worth it considering the location and lake of customer support onsite or at least a help line available after 8pm.

It should be priced like a hostel. Instead for one night we paid $ 270.00. The “hotel” is situated on the third floor of a sad shopping mall outside town next to a large gas station and an RV and bus storage. Too far from the train station to walk. Our room was small and lacked most of the basic amenities one expects from a hotel. No desk, no luggage rack, no kettle no coffee machine. It is advertised with AC, but there are no controls in the rooms. Fortunately we could open a window, but then we heard engines revving up all night. The TV does not have apps or Chrome-cast and the only channels are in Norwegian. In a new brand new place? No way to make coffee or tea. The coffee machine is in the common room, and we were supposed to find pods for it in the room but there were none. For coffee one must go to the gas station next door. What else would one expect? A decent shower and a good bed. Well, the shower drain was not working properly so to avoid a flood we had to shower with a trickle, and the bed was the cheapest and most uncomfortable we ever experienced in a Scandinavian country. So soft that it was hard to turn. The place is not staffed at all and so there is no security. At night I went into the common room looking for at least a kettle, and found a guy sitting there that gave me a weird vibe. I went back in the morning and he was still there asleep on the sofa. If you want to pay to sleep with the homeless this is the place for you.

Great room but company needs to redo the un-staffed checkin process. Once you check in at a a screen on site, there’s no way to recheck for your room number or get them to resend the door code if you didn’t receive it. No phone number is provided, just a small print email address on a nearby mailbox.

Rummet ok. Men sängarna är bedrövliga, madrasserna i våningssängen är förtvina så sängen är mycket hår att sova på. Dubbelsängen är istället för mjuk, man sjunker ner och ligger i en grop. Det positiva var att badrummet var fräscht samt att det fanns ett långt geggigt skohorn i metall på rummet.

Fint hotell med gode madrasser. Vi savnet bare varmt frukost.

Hotel Geist is completely new, very modern and comfortable. Views are amazing. Though the hotel does not have a reception, we met an owner and he helped us explaining how it all works. All rooms are opened with the code, rather than a key, hence check in advance that you received instructions from the hotel (!). The owner was very nice and friendly to find our reservation and show us the room and the code from the doors. He also holds a restaurant below with nice food and fantastic views. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Schönes neues Hotel. Frühstück war ok. Personal freundlich. Check in etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Rommet var bra, sengen var veldig bra og rommet var veldig rent. Det eneste som var kjedelig at det var vanskelig å få tak i noen der vedrørende spørsmål. Skulle også vært oppmerka parkering for hotellet. Men alt i alt var oppholdet på hotel geist bra!

Stod inte att det inte fanns någon reception, och bilderna visade inte att det låg i en galleria. De lever nog mycket på att det är nytt. Rummen låg i total oordning, så innan vi förstod att titta på en kartöversikt. Kändes konstigt haha. En butik hade sitt lager precis utanför vår dörr, alltså i hotellkorridoren, så där stod de o höll på helt plötsligt. Sköna sängar, okej storlek på rummet. Men vår ena mörkläggningsgardin hade gått sönder så där var ingen, då skulle man ner i restaurangen som låg i gallerian o säga till, typ, för hitta inga kontaktuppgifter, men hon var inte alls serviceminded så hon verkade inte alls ta det till sig. Restaurangen som "tillhörde" låg som sagt i gallerian, 75% av rätterna var slut. Drickan var totalt utrensad typ. Men maten vi fick var ändå okej. Frukosten ena dagen var bra, det fanns det man ville ha, med lite valmöjligheter. Andra dagen var kocken ensam, haha det var ett skämt. Knappt 1/3 fanns med jämfört med dagen innan.. Inga tallrikar, först trodde vi inte ens det var någon frukost. Var man i rummet var det ju bra, och dög att bo på för att sova. Helt klart. Men personligen vill jag har det betydligt mer personligt och bättre service för 1500kr per natt.

Rommet var ok, men litt lite som et 4 manns rom. Det bør opplyses om at restauranten stenger kl 21:00 og at det ikke er andre spisemuligheter i gangavstand. Hyggelig sms både før og etter at vi ankom der vi ble opplyst om at vi bare kunne henvende oss i restauranten dersom vi hadde spørsmål eller trengte hjelp. Vi forsøkte, men restauranten var stengt. Ikke veldig servicevennlig.

AC would improve the comfort. A better way for used cups at coffee machine (I took a used cup and noticed after drinking). Wonderful nature with clear springs baths as well as salty Atlantic swims.

Grei plass, grei pris, litt upersonlig, men helt ok

Hvis du finner deg i at du bor på et kjøpesenter og at alt går via nettet (har ikke sett en eneste ansatt, det mest anonyme jeg opplevd hittil) , tja da er dette ganske komfortabel. Hvis du da foretrekke å kommunisere med en robot istedenfor med et menneske.

Vi bestilte en natts opphold for å gå Romsdalseggen, men var så fornøyd at vi valgte å bli en ekstra natt. Veldige fine rom, gode senger, upåklagelig renhold, i tillegg til hyggelig og serviceinnstilt personal. Beliggenhet ved utløpet til elven Rauma gir god atmosfære og vi likte også frokosten godt. Enkel og delikat, med nydelig ferskt brød.Restauranten Soltinn serverte også god mat resten av dagen. Flott konsept med tilsendt adgangskode som gjør innsjekk og utsjekk unødvendig. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!
