There was no breakfast but we knew that before we went. It was a lovely place to stay on a winters night as there was a compliant wood burner which kept us cosy, there was plenty of dry wood available, but only one match which created a bit of an challenge the next night, but we improvised. The bed was to die for, linen lovely and spotlessly clean, pillows were dreamtime soft, the shower was fine, couldn't find a plug for the hand basin though which made shaving a bit of a trick, but when you are on holiday who cares. The instructions to access the place were extremely good, we didn't meet either Emma or Walter, but I spoke with Walter and he is the sort of guy you take an instant liking to. He was very helpful. The bathroom, kitchen, bed and fridge were all spotlessly clean.
There is a feeling of age in the chalet, could be time for a refurb, the windows were in need of a clean as were the ceilings.

Good location to travel from.
Didn’t appreciate that we would be sharing the building with a family. Make sure you book the stand alone Chalet if you’re a couple.
Location is perfect. A well equipped kitchen to cook a Christmas dinner. It is nice it just feels neglected lately. I would revisit but I’d hopefully like to book Suite C as it looks a lot more private. The gardens are lovely and so are the ornaments.
Jacuzzi hadn’t been cleaned as there was dirt and sand resting in the bottom. My partner took a nap in a downstairs single bed and she got bitten by bed bugs. Upstairs bed was fine. We stayed in Suite B, the neighbours in suite A were incredibly noisy from 6am to 11pm everyday they stayed there. I recommend trying to book suite C as it’s on its own.
Location, views and property is amazing
Single serve packets of coffee, creamer etc were not fresh. Bin was full and smelly, just next to the property and one bed had broken plank of the base. Chlorine levels of spa were not regulated.
The space inside. The view. The facilities provided.
Didn’t like the pillows - too deep and firm. It would have been helpful to have had the fridge switched on before arrival.
Catered for the numbers, beautiful views, lovely and private. Comfy beds too.
Overall property was amazing, clean, gorgeous and views were amazing! Bbq was also such a highlight
The bed was quite uncomfortable
Amazing attention to detail for a specail retreat. Enjoyed the fire, views, quiet and spa. Nice to have an electric lazyboy and smart tv. Cooking facilities are good. Bathrrom os lovely. Blinds could be improved, getting a little tired but servicable enough. A fabulous relaxing stay, i have recommeded to friends, and I'm keen to return myself!

Clean facilities, beautiful location. Lovely day. Good TV watched movies with my Mum she hadn't seen
The Only thing was the king single in chalet C. Mum said it was a hard mattress and difficult to climb up to. She's in her 80s.she didn't sleep at all the first night. I shared the king bed with me. Plenty of room.
The peace and quiet and the spa pool

Amazing location, nice clean property ..had everything we needed.
downstairs guests have to walk upstairs (waking me up) to visit the bathroom at night
Was amazing peaceful little wee place totally enjoyed it
The bed so uncomfortable
Our visit coincided with a patch of extremely variable weather, which suits me just fine! I love weather! I could see the weather arriving, leaving and all stages in between! :-) I actually booked the accommodation to allow my son and I to weather the expected storm prior to going camping at Kapowairua. We went on a tiki tour on one day, heading east to Taupo Bay, Matauri Bay, etc and looped around back through Whangaroa - all very enjoyable. Another day, I watched the weather, focusing on St Paul's Rock and timing our approach to perfection, drove to, climbed, descended and returned from during a beautifully clear (locally) period. I must add, the accommodation, facilities, etc, were absolutely fine. I apologise to the owners/service management, as campers, we are not very demanding and I am not super judgemental. All I can say is that nothing bad happened. :-) That's a good thing, right?! :-)
My wife and I decided to stay at the Coastal Chalets because of its remoteness and proximity to the far north. We found the place beautifully maintained, with a lot of privacy, quiet and beautiful scenery. We were in Suite C. It was spacious with a luxurious shower, full kitchen, bbq, spa pool and other amenities. We found it was a perfect spot for a romantic get-away. They're also a stone's throw to some truly excellent Indian food ("Spice Grill" in nearby Kaeo). Great place for dinner if you don't feel like cooking. We also found the manager was very responsive to the couple of questions we had. Highly recommended!
Comfortable with the spa pool as a nice bonus
No dish washer
The location is amazing. Quiet and peaceful surrounds, close to great beaches and walks to explore. Suite A was perfect for our group of 8. We loved the large deck and spa. Would happily stay again.
No complaints!
The room facilities were fantastic and the host were very hospitable
Everything was amazing
Loved the spa and country outlook
The beds the facilities and the location
When we were leaving my hubby dropped his phone in the couch. We didn't know how to fold.the bed back in
Loved the modern awesome bubbled spa pool..made the whole stay worthwhile especially in the stormy weather.the bed was super comfy..the chalet was very homely yet a bit luxurious at the same time.Very private.. loved our stay..very relaxing.
The spa pool was amazing but the very strict instructions about cleanliness made me a bit paranoid about the quality of the water after each use.. especially when the bubbles seemed to create a bit of froth that left a slight residue.. which was definitely not us the guests.
