Holiday Inn Express & Suites - North Battleford by IHG

While some may enjoy a king size bed, the height of them is problematic for an elderly traveler or someone with mobility issues. I asked if there were double or queen beds on arrival but they said all of their beds were king size.

The bed was really cozy, soap good quality in the shower and for handwashing, good quality toilet paper and facial tissue, room was fairly clean the bed being the most important (bathroom was spotless) and the breakfast was about as good as hotel breakfast gets with buffet style, cheese omelets, sausage,.potato, coffee, fruit, yogurt, muffins, milk, juice and make your own pancakes etc.

The fixtures, wall hangings and walls were dingy which takes away from the overall cleanliness of the room. The sound from the other rooms and hallways is not great. The hallway was in dire need of vacuuming. I couldn't find the front desk staff at checkout.

Good amenities, clean and accessible. Might be the most comfy hotel bed ever.

The price of this property for the value is incredibly high. I had to pay $689 for 2 nights. I can rent a room at the Trump towers for a month for the same price. Your fee is robbery. Even though the manger decreased 1 night it is still robbery. Your chain shouldn’t be charging more than$150/ night. Not $350. What a complete ripoff by your chain. While I did book by a 3rd party, because the front desk when I called said they were full so i went online and found a room. Astronomical pricing. You should be ashamed of how you rip people off and furthermore I don’t understand what my membership number actually gets me other than high prices. I wont be staying in any of your chain hotels soon. Shameless

Breakfast was good. It would be nice to have more gluten free options. I have Celiac disease so I was limited to fruit and yogurt.

I reserved and paid for my booking right away , I selected a room with bathtub ( we have used the same room before ) , it was showing available here on booking so I chose it . It was our wedding day , after ceremony we went to spend the night together and our reservation was room with bath tub and I added a comment for special instructions too that we just got married , so if they could please keep that in mind . The room was important at that point , but instead we got on first floor , with shower, no bath . We showed the receptionist our booking where it was showing what room we selected and she said “ sorry it is unavailable “ , I paid almost $250 and that room absolutely did not match $250 I’m sorry. I would do things differently if I ran a business or was receptionist. We been quests to this location and hotel but unfortunately we might choose different location from now on.

Had to change room in middle of the night because smoke detecter battery was dead and detecter was beeping. The hotel processed a $100.00 dollar damage deposit to my credit card and did’nt let me know!! Very disapointing!!!!

At check in we got charged an additional fee even though we had paid in full at booking.com. The hotel told us it was city tax? That should have been disclosed and collected when we paid in full through booking.com. The hotel should have waived this fee.

This property engages in false advertising. They promote free cribs and being a family friendly hotel. Upon arrival they said they did supply any cribs to anyone. Then blamed booking for having it on the website. The manager wouldn’t speak to us. I will never go back here again.

I was extremely upset with my stay here at this property. I have never in my life been treated so poorly. The staff showed such EXTREME DISREGARD for me as a guest. I had meetings all day and arrived at about 10PM. When I arrived, one of the clerks was on the phone. The other one was standing behind. I waited 10 mins, standing at the desk before anyone acknowledged me or even looked at me. Finally the lady that was not on the phone, called me over to her computer, took my ID, then looked at me and said can you just wait over there for 4-5 mins., we just have to straighten something out with booking.com. She motioned to the waiting area/lobby, so I went and stood by a table, where I ate my pizza. The one lady left for the night, while the other stayed on the phone. There was another couple waiting when I arrived, after about 45 mins they got up and left the hotel - they were tired of waiting. They made me wait 2 hours (10PM - 12AM) to check into my room. She made me call booking.com to try and straighten out a discrepancy, she went back and forth between me and her computer. I sat in the kitchen area waiting. She called me over to the desk, and instead of paying the booking.com price for my room I had to pay more because she had to cancel the booking.com reservation and rebook me. I ended up paying more money for my room, when they finally checked me in it was 12AM and my room was only about 20 steps away from where I sat for 2 hours. Apparently it was a mix up over $9 (a city tax) with booking.com. This was absolutely unacceptable. In the morning the hotel was very noisy. I couldn’t sleep in because of the noise and sounds of showers and toilets flushing. I mentioned my experience to the new staff member in the morning when I checked out. All she said was “it wasn’t your fault and it wasn’t our fault, it was the fault of booking.com.” This was the most ridiculous and inconvenient experience I have ever had in my life!

Staff were okay, not really personable. Great food options and loved that they had an evening meal for those of us there to work. Nothing other than a charge to have a pet, there were no pet friendly touches.

Would definitely stay here again! Clean hotel, good hot breakfast, quick and easy check in/out. Never got a chance to use the pool but it looked great! Parking lot is also brightly lit all night long making us feel quite safe during our late night arrival!

Hotel staff told me I would not be getting my deposit back over dirty towels. There was absolutely nothing broken in the room and we gathered our garbage as well. When I checked in and out I was not greeted after they realized I had a small tiny dog. Will not return, ridiculous.

Night time in the area the hotel was uncomfortable. I walked in the parking lot rather than go off the property as there were several individuals seemingly loitering around the area.

Review is mixed. The good: The beds are very comfortable. Everything else was mediocre. Check in was fine. We booked a suite. I'm not sure why it's considered a suite. The room was slightly larger than a standard room and had a couch but no chair for the desk. The hotel website said the room slept 5. The couch was not a pull out. That wasn't clear on the website. I couldn't get the booking to work on the hotel website so booked through expedia. The hotel staff then said it was expedia's website that was wrong and the room only slept 4. We showed them their hotel webisite and that they said the room slept 5 and then they made excuses about how other families make it work. We did make it work. Fortunately, we had just finished a week of camping and were on a driving day home. So we had a sleeping bag for the teen to use. Breakfast staff were excellent at refilling the breakfast area and keeping it clean but the breakfast was just standard hot breakfast. My kids found the pancakes were slightly under cooked. Pool area is OK. Many tiles missing from the hot tubs wall. Hot tub water level was below the skimmer when not being used, which was kind of gross. The scum line also could use a good scrub. Waterslide was tiny but OK. My kid cut his foot really badly on it though so we only got to use the pool for about 15 minutes. Overall, next time we are in the area, we will try another location. My family of 5 doesn't fit nicely in their rooms.

The rooms were decent. The window at the and of the hallway beside my room was broken. There was a broken window in the pool area. The pool had a giant black ring around it. Someone scratched a date into the filth with there thumbnail. The date was over 3 months ago. If it was like that 3 months ago how long has it been since that pool was cleaned?

I knew something was off when I checked in. I didn’t sign or see any documentation when I checked in. So I took pictures and videos of the room 200+ a night I might add for a terrible room only to be charged an extra 200 on check out for ring “too dirty” when upon check in I signed ZERO documentation. I knew something was off! Trust your guy!

Room was clean and showed signs of careful upkeep. Breakfast included and offered many self serve choices.
