Coming from Soho boutiques perfect hotel in Santander this could not have been more different. There was an extremely loud festival outside the door due to go on till 5or 6 the next morning. In reality I was paying €163 to be kept awake all night. The receptionist said I'd been informed of this which I disputed. Her attitude stuck. The room was tiny with 1 socket in the middle of the headboard. The safe didn't work so the receptionist came up to fix it and started to shout at me because I called her a liar about reciveing a message about the noise. She seemed to think 6 in the morning was an acceptable time. Her attitude was very poor. We booked another hotel with booking. Com and the staff were lovely and had a great night's sleep. I want a full refund for this disaster and will happily to the press to highlight how poorly we were treated. The receptionist turned on the water works for my wife while I was out after probably realising you don't yell at customers. I think this is the only bad review I've ever posted

Si la estancia coincide con las fiestas de San Mateo, no se puede dormir en las habitaciones que dan a la plaza. El personal hace lo posible por ayudar, pero el ruido es insufrible. Fuera de esas fechas, la zona es estupenda.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Destacaría la ubicación y el entorno del hotel y lo bonito que es el edificio por fuera. El personal de recepción educado y correcto. Tenía lo esencial para pasar unos días. Bonitas vistas las de la sala junto al ascensor. Lástima que no hayan podido ser las de mi habitación.
En mi opinión y teniendo en cuenta que me tocó una habitación interior creo que ésta no se ajusta al precio pagado. Creo que sería mejor que ofrecieran habitaciones con o sin vistas aunque fuera pagando otro precio. Despues de leer las opiniones y ver las fotos de otros viajeros, no es la misma experiencia las vistas a un patio interior que a la catedral de Oviedo. Esta vez no ha habido suerte. Tampoco me gustaron los pasillos con moqueta ni la salita de uso común que estaba en mi piso.

The decor was a bit worn and tired. There was free parking at the hotel, but no effort was made to point it out or indicate where it was located before we arrived. The hotel entrance is located in a pedestrianised area, but the parking appears to be at the rear, which is not pedestrianised.

Housekeeping starts very early in the morning, with constant hoovering, banging doors, and a lot of noise from the corridors. The walls are extremely thin, so you can hear pretty much everything happening outside your room. If you value your sleep, I would not recommend this hotel. The location is great, but the noise really ruined the stay.

The room was smaller than most, and in general the hotel seemed due for a refresh. Nothing was bad,but neither was anything (other than location) special, yet the cost was quite high. The special rooms (e.g. library) seemed completely overlooked.

El hotel necesita una reforma tanto en las zonas comunes como en las habitaciones, al menos en la que nos tocó a nosotros. Es una pena porque el edificio y la ubicación son estupendos, pero no merece su precio hasta que no lo reformen. Las camas no son nada cómodas y las almohadas son muy finas, al igual que las toallas que te dejan para el baño. Pequeñas, viejas y ligeramente húmedas. En nuestra habitación olía a cañería y la cisterna no funcionaba del todo bien.

This was supposed to be a 3 star hotel but felt tired and should probably be more like a 2 star. In the bedroom, thin towels, the bathroom fan didn't work so got steamed up, the chair seat was dirty, neighbors door banging with guests and cleaners, the bathroom sink didn't drain properly and very very slow wifi in the room. When I questioned the wifi I was told by the receptionist that it was fine downstairs for her so what was the issue!!!

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026This is a hotel which captures the atmosphere of Oviedo, and enhances it. Historical building right near the cathedral, amazing view from the balcony (it would be a total miss to have a room with inner courtyard view), and for solo travellers they actually have single rooms, whith city view, elegant, not cramped, with a large bathroom. Old style elegance and practicality. Very quiet, the noise from market cafés is not an issue at all.
The only inconvenience was the smoke detector intermitent lighting, which can be very annoying when you're trying to sleep.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Hôtel très bien placé directement dans le centre ville piéton. Dépose minute devant l'hôtel facilement accessible. Nous avions une chambre (305) avec vue sur la cathédrale ! Le double vitrage très efficace pour ne pas entendre le bruit du samedi soir de la rue encore après l'hôtel.
Hôtel un peu impersonnel.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Buenísima ubicación en pleno centro. Se agradece mucho el detalle de cortesía de las botellas de agua. Muy tranquilo a pesar de estar en el centro. Tiene un parking público muy cerca donde puedes dejar el coche con un descuento por estar alojado en el hotel.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026What an epic find for my impromptu trip to Asturias. It is an excellent location in the beautiful Old Town and a short walk to well everywhere in the city. My room was perfect for my needs. The bathroom is massive, with a HUGE shower, great power and ease of temperature regulation. I loved that I could adjust the shower height and take off the head which is so handy coz I'm only 5' 4". Located on the top (4th) floor I had a perfect view of the cathedral. As an early riser another plus was a beautiful view of sunrise every morning as it's situated perfectly due East. The noise level from the street below did not bother me, especially considering the weather was hitting mid 30s so the Aircon was on and the window closed. But nice to have the option of turning off the Aircon and opening the window to hear the hum of the city in the early morning also. Speaking of Aircon, the key card doesn't manage the Aircon unit just the lights and sockets, so it was great in the mid 30s summer heat to have that option to leave Aircon running when I was out and about exploring the city. At no time was a further than 10-20 minutes away so I could come back and sit in the coolness of the room to break from the heat. The staff were friendly and I literally only went to the reception area to check in and check out because of the design of the building access to the stairs and lifts were directly at the front door. I'm good with stairs so for the most part used them. The lift very handy when carrying luggage or carting water supplies back to the room. On the forth floor beside my room (401) there was a communal recreation room with games tables (chess boards), a lovely couple of seats at the windows and a room I could sit and eat my takeaway food in peace. There was a bookcase with a 'leave a book, take a book' service. The value for money is excellent, I got a great 'book now, pay later ' price on their website. Coming from Ireland where one night in a city centre boutique hotel might cost the same as I paid for three in Soho. I didn't bother opting for breakfast, as the location gives a wide arrary of options right on the door step. It is for sure a 'base yourself in the city ' type of hotel and has a great energy, it's a historic 17/18th Century building oozing of Old Town feels, the hotel is modern but the history of the building is there too. I have no hesitation recommending Soho Boutique Hotel, everything about it was excellent.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026It’s location in the centre. Simply walk out the door and you are in the pedestrianised area with plenty of ancient architecture, bars, restaurants and shops.
On entry the initial impression is not the best as the carpets look worn and stained. The room itself was perfect.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026Świetna lokalizacja w samym centrum miasta blisko parku i katedry w zabytkwym domu przy tym cisza i spokój. Łatwy dojazd do publicznego parkingu. Bardzo pomocny personel służący radą i pomcą. Zbawienna klimatyzacja w upalne dni. Bardzo czysto i wygodnie. Dobre śnidnie z wyjątkiem jajecznicy.
Niejadlna jajecznica z proszku nie warto próbować.
