Hotel New Otani Makuhari

Great outdoor pool and convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms. Close to great shopping amenities

Excessive costs to use pool facilities for staying guests

colazione ottima

stanza piccola

The room was clean and spacious

The hotel is advertised as kid friendly, the reason for our stay. The kids room was closed and the outdoor pool was adults only (booking.com only mentioned the indoor pool was adults only). The “kids pool” was cold and extremely small and shallow. Also 5000 yen for the pool per adult 3000 for children, the chairs by the pool vary in price 1000-4000 yen. For context, a luxury gym in Tokyo cost 6000 yen a month. This isn’t a cheap hotel, but charges for every little thing like a budget hotel. Won’t be staying again.

Well located near all the shops

Corporate. Old school reception staff. Made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome when I queried that I thought I had paid. Felt pressured to tip bell boy and didn’t really need to be accompanied to my room. Could not use spa. Pool closed early. Spa closed Monday for cleaning.

Breakfast was amazing and the location was excellent. The sea side view was amazing to look at and night and morning 🌄 😍

Needs door signs to tell housekeeping that the room doesn't need it or is occupied

Loved the room!

Wished I could've used an open bath

Location is perfect, particularly with the cold weather. You don’t have to walk far from the station

All the facilities in the hotel you have to pay on top of your rate which makes to stay in the hotel is quite boring. It is very unusual in Japan that you need to pay extra to be able to use the gym etc. Also the breakfast price for the hotel guests are not friendly at all.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is located at a great location for whose who love shopping - very close to an outlet mall on foot and just a few train stations away for a normal shopping mall (you could even reach the mall about 30 mins on foot). On top of that, the Disney Resort is just a few stations away. Also, I recommend the cafe on the of the hotel, where you can enjoy the great ocean view and tasty sweets. Slightly aged but recommend this hotel in the area.

It is a business hotel and great for meetings near Messe

The hotel was in a really beautiful part of Chiba Prefecture, only a 30 minute train journey from Tokyo Station and about an hour from both Shibuya and Ikebukuro. The rooms were small but comfortable, and the staff were some of the kindest I ever met!

It can't be helped that the windows couldn't open, seeing as we were on the 14th floor, but the room got very stuffy with two of us in it.

The friendly staff

The shower

Fantastisch… zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam persoon!!! TOP

Niets

Staff helped with a couple problems very helpful
