Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Overall a very nice visit and the resort has great atmosphere, beautiful quiet beaches, casual but elegant dining, all with an outstanding staff.
Food was off the charts. Grounds were amazing. Very quiet and secluded. Off the beaten path not much else around. Will definitely go back. Housekeeping needs a little work.
We had another wonderful stay and can't wait to come back. The property is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and the service is consistently outstanding. The beach staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and the restaurant team was always friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. If you're looking for a beautiful beachfront escape with exceptional service, I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!
The Cove was amazing. We went at the end of June and the beginning of July. The weather was fabulous. It rained one day for 30 minutes and then was hot. The staff was so nice and the resort was gorgeous. We had the best time; we had no issues with crowds. We snorkeled right out front and seen lots of turtles and cool looking fish. The resort was safe. I will be back.
Yikes! I hate to even give anything a bad review when this cost us so much and the views were beautiful, but at this price point, I want to help other people who are looking to book a great place! We came to The Cove for our honeymoon. The views are fabulous, staff was very kind, and the rooms were nice and cool, this place has genuine beauty and real potential. Captains Chad and First Mate Oral prove that exceptional hospitality is possible here. It felt that staff training needs to be improved and that there is lack of funding to make this place a real luxury retreat. Until the basics are consistent, it's hard to recommend at this price for a once-in-a-lifetime trip. The staff seemed genuinely confused and so did most of the guests. I heard many guests ask how the breakfast worked, where the happy hour bar was, how to get their umbrellas up, and we had to ask so many times for towels (there were none more times than not) and had to get out of the pool and go inside the restaurant wet in our bathingsuit (which felt awkward) everytime we needed a drink. while the staff were all very friendly and nice - this place is not worth the price at all. I hate so say this, but I regret going here! we are usually such Relaix & Chateux stans, and i literally chose this resort based on that and it was just not it.
Amazing experience. The grounds were beautiful, staff very professional and courteous. We are already planning a time to return.
First time staying at this resort. The grounds are immaculate and perfectly manicured. Truly breathtaking and spared no expense. The beach front villas were a standout, new, clean, and with all the amenities we needed. We loved being able to sit on the deck at night and walk strait to the beach. The food was good. Lunch was definitely the standout and they were previewing a new menu when we arrived which was phenomenal, I wish they served this the entire time. Dinner was average if I am being honest. The sushi was good as was the dinner menu but I just wasn’t wowed by it. The two beaches were the highlight and there were a lot of activities to choose from. The waters were calm most of our trip and we got to see sea turtles. The main pool was nice but it was somewhat windy (less than 20 mph) when we arrived and my wife got yelled at for trying to open the umbrellas. We could not be in the sun for long so this made the pool unusable for us. This was also interesting as the deck was covered in heavy duty Tuuci umbrellas and should have been able to hold up in a light breeze. The service was really good, especially the hostess and restaurant severs. The beach service was hit or miss. If there had been more folks serving the beaches, I would have probably spent at least another $1000 on drinks. The security here is also top notch and the gate is monitored 24x7. Upon checkout management did go the extra mile to ensure we had a good experience. Overall highly recommend and will definitely be back. The best hotel I have stayed at in The Bahamas.
We celebrated our anniversary there, and it was truly unforgettable. We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place for such a special occasion. The hotel is absolutely stunning, it almost looks too beautiful to be real. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, and the sushi was outstanding; we loved it so much that we enjoyed it every evening. The view from our bedroom was breathtaking and felt almost unreal. Everything was so peaceful and beautiful that it felt like heaven on earth. We can’t wait to return.
The Cove is am amazing place for a quiet vacation with top tier views, beach, pool and amenities. If you are looking for a quiet escape with a great restaurant, this is the place for you. The staff are great and the grounds are amazing. We will return.
It was a very memorable experience. The place is so peaceful and relaxing. Perfect to just unwind, disconnect, and do nothing. There’s only one restaurant on site and it is very expensive so be prepared for that or explore restaurants outside the property. Although it’s not an adults only resort, it certainly felt like it. I will be returning.
This place is beyond beautiful! 2 cays that make it great for just floating g around. The people that work here are nice, but it seems everyone is lost. Theres lots of people working all the time, but little communication between them so no one really knows what’s going on. Every single in room dining was missing something. Whether it be the sugar for the coffee or the butter for your toast or just getting a glass of ice water with the order. Food was good just not a lot of selection if your staying here for more than 3 days. Also be ready to get your own towels and water at the beach because 8 out of 10 times there’s 2-4 employees just sitting in the beach hut instead of attending. They were all nice though. Seems like they need better training and better management all around the hotel. For the price you pay for the rooms I did think the employees would be more attentive and paying attention more to detail. Also rooms are nice. Villa style units, issues are doors don’t lock on balcony doors, front door handle wouldn’t close correctly, water started coming out milky from the sink and wall unit ac turns off by itself in middle of night. I’ll probably come back but only for the beaches.
What an incredible resort. The website does not do it justice. From the immaculate grounds, to the incredible staff who couldn't do enough for us. The food was fantastic. One of the best places to relax.
My wife and I managed to get a 4 night escape to this amazing property. Upon entering, the views were amazing. The grounds were immaculate, not a thing out of place. The staff have all been incredibly friendly and helpful, and all the food and drink options were outstanding. I would highly recommend to a couple wanting a getaway with lazy days and nights.
We experienced several issues during our stay that I would like to share. First, the airport pickup that had been arranged in advance was missed, which created an unnecessary inconvenience upon arrival. Additionally, we had booked an oceanfront room but were instead given a beachfront room. When we presented our confirmation, we were informed that nothing could be done. After a long wait, we chose not to pursue the matter further and accepted the room, but this was disappointing. Given the location of the property, where there are no nearby alternatives within walking distance for breakfast, and considering the already high room rates, it would be reasonable for breakfast to be included. We also experienced challenges with the dining environment. Due to the strong smell from the grill, we were unable to dine outdoors and had to sit indoors at all times. In addition, during breakfast and lunch hours, the use of bleach while cleaning the bar area negatively affected the dining atmosphere. This was particularly difficult for a member of our group who had recently undergone chemotherapy and is highly sensitive to strong smells. Finally, while some of the staff were pleasant, we noticed that the same team members were working across the restaurant, pool, and dinner service throughout the day. At times, this seemed to result in fatigue, and unfortunately, a few interactions came across as less welcoming than expected. That said, the location is excellent, the property itself is beautiful, and Turtle Point is a great experience. The sea is also wonderful for snorkeling, which we truly enjoyed.
If you look for that place where Aristotle was looking for Alexander the Great..you found it. So much space for your mind to decide what’s happiness on earth.
Top notch resort. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Right on the beach. Wonderful marine life. Very comfortable rooms.
The Cove was absolutely unreal. It’s hard to believe that the pictures don’t do it justice. This was our first time in the Bahamas and fell in love with Eleuthera. The staff was exceptional and so friendly, they truly went above and beyond. The property is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and I can’t wait to come back. We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday and it will always be one to remember. Demetrius, Chad, Oral, and Big O were our absolute favorites and really made the trip. The sunset cruise is definitely a must. If you’re looking to just relax and be on island time, this is the place for you.
The Cove is simply outstanding. Excellent service and amenities. This was our third trip and it gets better with each visit. Cannot wait to return again.
The Cove Eleuthera is a beautiful , peaceful property and the beaches are lovely with crystal clear water . We enjoyed using the kayaks and snorkeling around the beaches . Where our experience fell short was with the service at the Cove . Most of the employees were friendly , but seemed to lack training and professionalism. The service on the beach was for the most part non existent . We had to move the heavy lounge chairs ourselves , put up the umbrellas and go looking for someone to replenish our waters / ice or order drinks . Most of the time when at the pool , we had to go inside the restaurant to find someone to order food or beverages . We were also disappointed in the restaurant . The food was just okay , and very expensive . An appetizer of fried calamari was $28 but only had about 8 pieces . At dinner every night they were out of several items which is okay however the servers should tell You that up front . We ordered "French toast " at breakfast which was basically two slices of banana bread toasted ,without anything else on the plate , and we had to ask for syrup . We thought that they could do a lot more with the restaurant that would just make it a nicer experience . One being more windows all around so that you can take advantage of the beautiful view . It was very dark inside , and didn't fit the beachy aesthetic. It may have been the time of year , but we could not eat outside at all as the flies were literally swarming . Perhaps with some fly traps or repellent candles this type of situation could be rectified . Most people enjoy eating outside when on a beach vacation. We stayed in a two bedroom oceanview suite . One of the ceiling fans wasn't working and we asked them to fix it twice . It remained inoperable for our 6 day stay . Housekeeping left towels in our daughter's bathroom that actually were ripped . One of the days , they forgot to leave the complimentary bottles of waters for us in the suite and we had to ask several times for them to bring some . When staying at a Relais and Chateaux the expectation is that the experience should be close to perfect , and unfortunately it wasn't .
Truly a five-star, yet relaxed experience. The resort has incredibly nice facilities, beautiful gardens and great restaurants. It’s simple and elegant and wonderfully relaxing. Plus, with Tradewinds Air and Tropical Ocean its very easy and inexpensive to get to Eleuthera. Immigration and customers are easy, and since you leave out of a private FOB, security is a breeze. The room are very nice, especially the beachfront rooms, linens are very good, beds are top rate, comfortable. Though the resort was fully booked, it never felt busy, there were always fabulous places to relax by the pool or the beach or on a wonderful deck out on the point. This is a great resort, truly a hidden gem.
awesome place, the only thing is the issue with the restaurant menu that is very limited and too expensive for what it has to offer.
My wife and I just returned from an incredible stay at The Cove, Eleuthera, and we are already planning a longer return trip for next year. While the property is stunning, it is the world-class staff that truly sets this resort apart. The service culture here is built on "finding a yes." We saw this in action from day one: Dining: During our first dinner, we were hesitant about a specific sauce for a fish dish. Instead of just describing it, our waiter went to the kitchen and brought out a sample for us to try first. This kind of proactive hospitality is rare. Exploring: The next morning, we mentioned wanting to check out some nearby beaches. Rather than just giving us a map, a staff member grabbed his own car, personally drove us there, and even came back to pick us up later! The Grounds & Vibe From the moment you arrive, you notice the meticulous attention to detail. The grounds are beautifully maintained; the lush, tropical landscaping is perfectly manicured and frames the pathways leading to two private white-sand beaches. It feels less like a hotel and more like a secluded private sanctuary. If you are looking for a high-end Bahamian getaway where you are treated like a VIP guest in someone’s home, The Cove is it. Pro Tip: Do not miss the Grouper Sandwich at lunch—it is absolutely bomb!
Gorgeous resort! You will not be disappointed in the views from the property. Rooms all have such a great view and very well maintained
Excellent Bahamian resort. Food was great. Felt very private, safe, and secure. Beautiful grounds and property. Staff and service were both outstanding. Pricey with all the fees and charges, as well as the food prices, but we had a great trip and I'm glad we chose to stay here.
A beautiful resort on this magnificent island. The resort, the rooms, the beach - it's all perfect. The rooms are very spacious, a lot of storage space, huge bathrooms, very comfortable beds, extremely silent AC! The pool area is great too, with a nice view over the two private beaches. very comfortable sun chairs. The restaurant is also well designed, with aquatic nice bar area. The outdoor bar with sundowner view is not to miss, when open. The staff is all over very friendly and helpful. Supervising could me much better, so the details would make the difference to the better. Chef tries hard but unfortunately only average outcome
We had the best visit to The Cove Eleuthera, and would go back in a heartbeat. 3 nights was simply not enough! We flew in from Nassau, and were greeted at the airport by “O”, who is a true local and knows everyone we passed on the road! He shared fun facts about the island and his experiences there, and we could have talked with him for hours! After just 15 minutes, we arrived at The Cove and were greeted with a welcome drink (very good), and our baggage was taken for us on a golf cart. Reception and check in were so easy, and our room was ready early (1pm)! We went straight into the sea after unpacking, and were in awe of the tranquility of the two beaches that seemed to be for our exclusive use. Happy Hour started off right at 5, and Shaquille our bartender was the BEST! (One of us drinks alcohol and the other does not, and he was very creative in making things for both of us). During our stay, we spent time snorkeling, watching the turtles, enjoying the ocean and the water ring floats they put out for guests, and of course resting alongside the pool. We did the sushi class with Joel, who was fabulous and very encouraging, and even tried the local rum tasting with Shaquille. I had a rejuvenating massage with Nan, and I think her hands might be magic! Everything about our stay was delightful, and we ate all meals in the Freedom restaurant, as we ended up not leaving the property during our stay. The only note I have is that the service in the restaurant was pretty slow, so make sure you leave plenty of time/are on island time and *not* in a rush. Every person we interacted with was kind, pleasant, and willing to chat/share their stories with us. We will 100% have to come back!
Nice location on the island, food is decent albeit expensive for what it is. The wine is ridiculously priced, for example one glass of oyster bay is nearly 30 USD (by the time you’ve added tax etc)… that would buy nearly 3 bottles at home, suppose that’s island import life. Peaceful & well kept grounds.
My wife and I have been to many high-end resorts in the Caribbean, including, Boase (Curacao), Parrot Cay (Turks & Caicos), Jade Mountain (St. Lucia), Turtle Inn (Belize) and Belmond Cap Jaluca (Dominican Republic). Our stay at The Cove was the very best. Best because of the combination of exceptional rooms, glorious grounds and scenery, beautiful beach and clear blue ocean, marvelous atmosphere, fine food, and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere was one of elegance, and quiet. The room and terrace on the beach, the outstanding soft sand beaches, the fine lounges on the beaches, the care and attention of the staff on the beaches and the excellent availability of food and drink on the beaches, were compelling. Even a coconut with straw was offered for free. The staff everywhere, from Concierge to domestics and beach attendants, were exceptional, all extremely friendly and willing to assist. The dining was excellent in all respects, the food was incredible, with unusually large portions, sometimes too much for us. And, the fitness center was inimitable for a resort, spotless with both state-of-the-art machines and dumbells, and fresh fruit, protein snacks and water, with a beautiful view of flora everywhere. Our stay could not have been better.
Great resort, beaches and service. Worth the very high price for those who can afford it. Atmosphere and environment were great!
The Cove is a great place to go relax and feel like you are the only one at the resort. The staff is very special and the location and the rooms are beautiful. The restaurant food is great, sushi was exceptional. We had the best time and would definitely return.
Awesome location, awesome resort, beautiful surroundings, and beautiful, welcoming people. I love the Caribbean, and this visit to the quieter side of the Bahamas didn't disappoint. So glad we chose Eleuthera.
Gorgeous site with beautiful beaches; lush, meticulously maintained landscaping and grounds; sophisticated and comfortable accommodations; and warm, friendly hospitality.
My husband and I enjoyed our experience at The Cove overall. The grounds were beautiful and rooms were very spacious and comfortable, with amazing views. The amenities were also great throughout the resort! We provided the resort feedback on a few negatives like the check-in process being a bit disjointed as well as our negative experience with the picnic (wouldn’t recommend that), but otherwise we had a nice time. Given the cost of the entire experience and some of the hiccups we encountered, we will probably look elsewhere in the future since we’d expect near perfection for this price.
We absolutely love The Cove and just returned for our 6th stay — it’s always a pleasure to come back. It’s wonderful to see how the property continues to evolve and improve since Sally and Nick took over, while still preserving its special soul. Breathtaking views - if you are dining, if you are at the gym, if you grab a drink at the Point Bar, if you are at the pool or at any of their beaches. The food is consistently very good — simple choices, but always fresh, well-prepared, and truly tasty. Our ocean-view bungalow is simply priceless. Waking up to the incredible view of the Caribbean waters in the morning never gets old. The room was comfortable, clean, and perfectly maintained. The staff is friendly, polite, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking to truly switch off, slow down, and enjoy a quiet, magical place. We can’t wait to return again.
We stayed at the Cove last week for three nights and cannot recommend it highly enough. A beautiful location, complemented with excellent facilities and rooms, run by a wonderful and attentive team. We had a beach-facing room, with the front deck just a 20-foot hop over the manicured lawn to the beach. Lots of space on both beaches, even with a plenty of sunbeds available. Watching the turtles from the bench on the outcrop between the beaches was a highlight every morning. Food all great, as expected, and library (which we used) and gym facilities (didn't use but saw plenty of others doing so) available at all hours. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a well-appointed bathroom complete with two indoor showers, a bath, and an outdoor shower. Nikki on front desk and G on transport were fantastic, helping with our questions and needs on our first visit to the Bahamas, and the rest of the team always ready to help with a smile. We hope we can make it back to North Eleuthera someday!
The hotel is truly beautiful and very relaxing — it feels like being on a deserted island. The peaceful and exclusive atmosphere makes the stay extremely enjoyable. The rooms are gorgeous, spotless, and very well maintained, and the location overall is a dreamlike paradise in the Bahamas. Unfortunately, the service is not up to the standard of the resort. At the restaurant, the staff often seems to struggle with English: you order one thing and receive something else. Service is extremely slow, especially at breakfast, where we waited up to 40 minutes. We even had to ask multiple times for napkins while we were already eating. Food prices are extremely high: it is almost impossible to spend less than $160 for two poke bowls and just one glass of wine. That said, the food quality is good, especially the sushi. Overall, the hotel is stunning and relaxing, with beautiful rooms and a breathtaking location — an exclusive paradise in the Bahamas. Unfortunately, the service, particularly in the restaurant, does not match the level expected from a resort of this caliber
We went to the Cove’s restaurant for lunch and it was a terrible experience. The service was so slow and the food mediocre. We had to ask for napkins. The waitress left us for long periods of time without checking in. Our plates were not cleared. And to top it all they did not return our credit card. We had to wait over half an hour for them to locate it. Don’t go for a meal!
The resort looks serene. We did not stay on site, but rather reserved dinner for my daughters birthday. In short, as exclusive as this place is $1200 for a Buffett with food so tasteless and without creativity is obscene. I understand that food resource is scarce on the island but for the price I felt scammed. I am well traveled, have owned a restaurant and enjoy cooking. I am fine to pay top dollar for finely prepared food. It would have tasted better with ketchup. We were not the only ones who did not finish food due to lack of flavor or pizzazz. Wonderful staff. I enjoyed my Pink Sands margarita. For the money had I enjoyed my meal I would not be writing this.
Good with lots of healthy options
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Honeymoon Ever – Thanks to The Cove Team My wife and I spent our honeymoon at The Cove in Eleuthera, and it was absolutely perfect. The views and beaches are stunning, but it’s the staff who truly make this place unforgettable. Tory, TJ, Marlon, Sheeka, Alisha, Cream, Kendal, Lavelle, and so many others made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. We loved the art class with Lauren, snorkeling with Captain Spicy T and Deckhand Chad, paddle boarding around the cove, napping on the floating hammocks, and the Halloween event at the bar overlooking the sunset. The food—especially dinner and sushi—was incredible. The Cove is beautiful, but the kind and genuine people are what make it magical. They made our honeymoon an experience we’ll never forget.
Paradise! Quiet, romantic, secluded! Double coves and beaches w practically no one on them. Perfect snorkeling. Delicious food. Beautiful and recently remodeled rooms. Large & luxiurious room. Lovely team, Staff & mgmt bit still working out service links after remodel. If this sounds good book right away. If you want to party this is not the place for you….
We had a very good stay overall. The location was beautiful, the property itself was lovely, and all of the workers we interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Everything seemed clean and well kept for the most part. Unfortunately, we did have one issue that left us disappointed. On the last night of our stay, we noticed a dead cockroach in our room (photo attached). We let an employee know, but no one ever came to take care of it. We mentioned it again at checkout the next morning and received an apology. After returning home, we reached out to management about the situation. It has now been a month, and instead of addressing our concern, our emails just keep getting forwarded to different people without resolution. No partial refund or meaningful response has been offered. It’s unfortunate because we really enjoyed the property and the staff during our stay, but the lack of follow-up from management after the fact has left a sour impression.
The Cove feels like your own tropical island. Very quiet and the food at the restaurant was fresh and delicious. If you’re looking to get away and truly relax in the peaceful Caribbean, The Cove is your place!
We just returned very rested and recharged from the most magical family trip to The Cove at Eleuthera in the Bahamas. It honestly felt like we had landed on another planet - called Paradise - one where time slows down, no one’s in a rush, and everything is insanely beautiful. The resort was so peaceful, so private, and so naturally stunning. The turquoise water, the white sand, the swaying palms, the sunsets, the private swimming coves, the snorkeling, the ocean hammocks, the live music, the infinity pool... it didn’t even feel real. Like living inside a dream you don’t want to wake up from! The food was incredible (we’re still talking about the sushi and island cocktails), but what really made it special was the amazing team—so warm, kind, and thoughtful. You could feel the heart in everything they did. They knew all of our names and we knew all of their names, and it was only a 4 night stay. My daughter even said it was the best vacation we’ve ever taken—and that’s saying a lot. We’ve been to Hawaii, Mexico, South America, Europe, and beyond, but there was just something about The Cove that felt sacred. Like we were exactly where we were meant to be. Already missing it...
Just returned from an unforgettable stay at The Cove Eleuthera what an absolute gem. This is the kind of place you escape to when you need to truly unwind. Picture-perfect turquoise water just steps from your room, calm and quiet surroundings, and some of the most welcoming staff I’ve ever encountered. Every meal was a highlight fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Whether lounging by the beach, enjoying a cocktail at sunset, or simply soaking in the serene vibe, The Cove delivers a perfect balance of relaxation and understated luxury. Can’t wait to return.
The Cove - Eleuthera is a one in a million resort! This Relax & Chateua five star resort is even better than we imagined! The accommodations were immaculate, well-designed and super cozy. We loved our unit with it's private deck and banquette....right on the beach! Services at this resort is second to none we have ever experienced in the Caribbean. Extremely warm, friendly and professional. Excellent food. Superior exercise classes (incl) each am...yoga or Pilates. The grounds are sumptuous, stunning and vistas for your eyes to behold. As bougie as the resort is physically, the staff are top-shelf and treated us like family. Super caring and wanting to ensure that your vacation was fulfilling and relaxing. We kayaked every day and snorkeled right off of the beach. We never waited long for food or any beverage request (how about the best pina colada ever served right to your deck or spot on the beach with fresh coconut and a dark rum floater)? We left the Cove feeling re relaxed, rejuvenated and extremely well-cared for! P.S. the Cove brought us into town a couple of nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with the locals who clearly appreciate tourism and get hospitality....especially Eleuthera Vibes! Also don't miss Sunday afternoon at the town dock for some amazing Conch salad and cold beer/yummy cocktails!
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at The Cove. Beautiful place and well maintained. Resort staff were always friendly, attentive and accommodating. Food and service at meals - outstanding!! I would highly recommend The Cove to anyone.
Very calm and relaxing. Beach access is amazing. Marine life is incredible. Food options are limited, but good. Rooms are very nice and very comfortable. Staff is very helpful and very friendly. I wish I could just move in there permanently. It is a little pricey, but it is top notch, and the Bahamas is pricey.
The cove is a remote luxury resort with beautiful views and first-class amenities. The staff was all remarkably friendly and helpful and the service was top notch. The cabins were very nice with amazing ocean views and well cooled. I would recommend a Sunday afternoon trip to Dave's Conch shack as well. No need for any excursions, you can enjoy your time at the resort.
It was a LOVELY stay. Kind and welcoming staff. The food could be better, but not much else is missing. Service on the beach is needed, as I couldn't really order food and drinks. I would also recommend more grooming of the beach so the sharp rocks are not present.
A stunning resort with gracious hosts, delicious food, and an experience that was both relaxing and fulfilling. The beauty of balance was everywhere. The landscape was serene, the sound of the gentle rhythm of the waves was mesmerizing. Sea turtles swam freely in the bay, adding a sense of wonder to each day. Every detail felt intentional, offering a quiet kind of luxury that lingers long after you leave.
I would give this place 6 Stars if there was another one to give. I am well traveled, and this was the most exclusive/unique experiences that I have come across when staying at a Resort. There's plenty to do, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is excellent, and not overpriced when compared to other resorts. The views are incredible and the layout is what makes this place so unique. Will be back soon!
Staff was absolutely amazing! The resort was pretty empty so we got to enjoy it all to ourselves. The food was also fantastic coming from a fellow foodie. The only thing I would suggest is to possibly have an ATM available on site since some of the ATMs in the island are either far away or do not work properly.
Its the perfect spot to just relax. The staff was on point
Location
Service and quality of food on the restaurant
We had a wonderful experience staying at The Cove. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The services—whether at the bar, on the beach, or at the Freedom Restaurant & Sushi Bar—were outstanding. We especially enjoyed the local excursions and dining at nearby restaurants recommended by the staff. While the airport terminal could use some improvement, overall, we're very glad we made the trip. It was the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy some quiet time.
Relaxing and beautiful beach
Amazing stay - Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
The Cove is like staying in paradise. We loved the one bedroom villa we stayed in with a beach view. Our friends stayed next door which was very convenient. We could sit in bed or on the deck and see the Caribbean. Loved every minute! Nick was the best!
The most beautiful, peaceful week in beautiful Eluthera ! Gorgeous property and a perfect place to escape for some solitude!
Beautiful, picturesque location and plenty of food options to choose from
The perfect place to relax and unwind. Property is beautiful and the staff is amazing and friendly. It is somewhat secluded so it may not be for everyone and definitely not a place to 'party".
I was surprised by my husband with this wonderful get away for a milestone birthday!! Everything at The Cove was above and beyond! The staff is amazing, warm, friendly and helpful. We had the best time ever in this paradise!!! We will be back!
I never wanted to leave! The entire property was outstanding but we were really blown away by all of the staff. Donald our driver was so welcoming and provided a lot of local details and recommendations. Tina our server was the absolute sweetest and took amazing care of us. Shungrea, Cannon and Tori were the best. We honestly felt like family and will definitely be back.
A top notch get away in the Bahamas. The Cove is beautifully tucked away and lushly landscaped. The staff is outstanding and anxious to make your stay memorable. The food is delicious and really fresh and we hardly left the resort. This where you want to go to truly unwind. You will be pampered and leave feeling so refreshed and renewed. We highly recommend The Cove.
Summary: Just go. It's so peaceful and beautiful. Book the excursions. Order Chef Cora's torched lobster roll. Go to happy hour. Everyone is so incredibly nice. More info: We arrived at N Eleuthera airport, walked 20 steps, and our driver was right there ready for us. 30 minutes later I was eating a fried fish sandwich on brioche under an umbrella, and falling asleep on a chaise for the most peaceful nap listening to the calm waves lap onto the shore. Food: The seafood and sushi are so fresh. I can't speak for much else because I ate that the whole time. Pina coladas with shaved coconut and rum floater on top! I didn't even know I liked pina coladas. We ate Chef Cora's signature torched lobster rolls every day. The best rolls we've ever had! Take her sushi class! Excursion: We explored the island with MJ, who clearly has such a love for the land, the animals, and the environment. It was the most special day! Rooms: Beautiful. Clean. Luxurious. Better than any Four Seasons I've ever seen. The People: The staff at the Cove were friendly and helpful from start to finish. The management, the beach staff, servers, bartenders, boutique saleswoman, housekeeping... if you need it they will help make it happen!
My husband and I just returned from our stay at The Cove. Relaxing would be an understatement. This location and facility is just wonderful. Two private beaches with crystal clear water, an infinity edge saltwater pool, very friendly staff -- all highlights of our trip. The island itself is very underdeveloped for the most part. The Cove is an oasis like no other. We were told it was 70% occupied, but we felt like we were one of the only people there. I would give it 5 stars, but there were a few things that I felt like could be improved upon: -No mini fridge in the room--could have really used this. -They asked us twice if we were celebrating anything, so we mentioned our anniversary. But there was zero acknowledgement of that. I would have appreciated a complimentary glass of champagne or dessert. Why ask if you won't do anything? -They need better service at the beach. Three men sat in the activities hut all day long. Asked me if I needed water once that morning, then never checked on me again. I literally saw them sitting on their phones and chatting all day while I had to get up and ask each time I needed something. -The food was good, but not great. Outrageously expensive drinks. (My husband mentioned to a local resident that we were staying at The Cove and he replied "Oh, the really expensive place with the mediocre food and expensive drinks?" kinda...) Be aware there is major construction happening on the bluff adjacent to the property. It was loud. I know they cannot help that, but it appeared to be in the very first stages, so it may be going on for quite awhile. Just disturbed the quiet is all.
We just got back from 12 idyllic days at The Cove in Eleuthera. From the moment we arrived, the beauty of the resort’s grounds were serene and captivating. Lush, tropical landscaping, two private cove beaches, made it feel like we were in a private oasis that was breathtaking and calming, making it the perfect place to unwind. We stayed in one of the ocean front rooms which I highly recommend. Our large, beautifully designed room was spacious and featured a private deck just steps from the beach. Waking up to the beautiful view of the water and being able to walk directly onto the beach with beach chairs and bottled water waiting for us was delightful. The expansive bathroom is well designed and spa-like. The outdoor shower attached to the bathroom was an added treat. We loved the outdoor amenities offered by the Cove. We paddle boarded daily in the crystal clear turquoise blue water exploring the beautiful coves and admiring the soulful sea turtles who live on the tip of the peninsula between the two cove beaches. The clear bottom kayaks offered us a view of the beautiful sea life all around. The resort provided daily guided snorkels, so we could see the beautiful sea turtles and underwater creatures up close. We walked the resort's beautiful and well designed nature trail and learned about the plants of the island. A conch salad demonstration was offered during our stay where we learned and sampled the Bahamian cuisine. It was fantastic! The Cove offers daily restorative yoga classes, which was a wonderful way to start the day. Daily happy hour is not to be missed, held at the outdoor bar with live music and the sunsetting behind you, providing the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. We also enjoyed our cocktails and watching the sunset from the spectacular lookout at the tip of the property between the two coves. A bench sits at the tip of the lookout providing us with a private front row seat to the setting sun, magical. We ate on property almost every day. The food was delicious and creative, including fresh sushi that is both beautiful and flavorful. For us what really set The Cove apart is their staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure we had a truly memorable stay. The staff are incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely care about making our experience perfect. Their attention to detail and personal touch made the Cove an unforgettable destination which we plan to return to again.
We got back 2 days ago. Spent 8 nights. The location: -30 min south of ELH; -good for accessing Harbor Island, Spanish Wells. -Southern tip of island is about 2.5 hours. -On the west side of the island and behind some low hills- so wind at the Cove will be calmer for any wind out of the NE to SE. The Beach: -Two coves (North and South) split by a peninsula (which contains the main pool), -Rough sand with chunks of coral at both beach locations --The beach sand is just OK. The sand at the Cove is not even in same ballpark as Pink Sands Beach, French Leave Beach, etc. -A line of moss covered black limestone/coral is just inside the low tide water line that forces you to enter the deeper ocean water at certain locations -Chairs and beach umbrellas are numerous at the North and South coves, they were never more than 1/5 occupied The Pool -Unheated- this should be heated for this level/cost of resort -Saltwater -Chairs and umbrellas are numerous, they were never more than 1/10 occupied The Room -Oceanfront king (#17). Excellent room layout, ceiling fan, and A/C- and loved the front deck for lounging, loved the outdoor shower, the indoor shower was very large with shower heads at opposite ends, two sinks, and a separate deep soaking tub. The bathroom is a 10/10. -Bedding (pillow, duvet, sheet) quality was worse than the Westin Hotel on our trip down. I think the Westin has quality bedding. The Cove wasn't on the Westin's level. -Room water: the tap water is unpalatable (we were never told to NOT drink it out of safety concerns)- it tastes very sulfury. Free of charge glass water bottles are supplied. -In the bar/coffee area, there was a non working ice maker. The Grounds -Very nice quality daytime and nighttime appearance, on par with 5 star hotels in which we've stayed. The Staff -All very outwardly happy and always greeted us with a smile Non Beach/Pool Service -Welcome and Check-in process: Parking for rental car is super close, Shorter check-in than most, very nice staff. Bellman took our bags in a golf cart from our rental car to the room. -Room cleaning and Turn down service: Daily room cleaning was prompt and unobtrusive (we never ran into them). Turn down service was a little early (around 6pm) (I assume they anticipate you're out for the evening). Quality of cleaning was very good, however, replacement of drinking water bottles was not consistent. -Massage: We had excellent quality couple's massages twice (both my wife and I have had massages at multiple world spas, including 4Seasons, etc). There is no spa per se, just a room next to the Hospitality Room (next to the "front desk") in which the spa services are provided. Scheduling for our massages was "next day"- seems they were free with at least 36 hrs notice. Beach Service -Hugely lacking with respect to chair service -We spent at least 14 hours (over 6 separate times) at the beach chairs- we were given drinking water once and never solicited for bar drinks or food orders -Beach chair towel and personal towel are provided on the chair, but no one sets up your chair for your Beach Service: Activity desk (present on the south cove only) -Super easy to check out any water-related item you want [snorkel gear, floaty chairs, SUPs, one or two-person kayaks (the yellow 2-person ones have a clear bottom which I thought would be super cheesy but turned out to be super cool), etc.] -There are some big floating disks with a mesh bottom, anchored to sea floor, that are fun. -Then there's the "personal island"...which has two hammocks and is anchored about 50 yards off the beach-- umm, yeah, no thanks---$150/hour with 2 hour minimum- it's just not that special. -The guys working that desk were super helpful getting you on the water; however these are also the same guys responsible for getting water/etc. to the beach chairs; they were never busy enough with their activity desk to not serve the beach chairs. Pool Service -Very lacking -We spent at least 6 hours (over 4 times) at the pool are we given drinking water twice and twice solicited for drink or food orders -The other time we spent poolside, we were completely ignored by the staff -Beach chair towel and personal towel are provided on the chair, but no one sets up your chair for your Food -Overall: expensive, but you can expect this on Eleuthera, in general, and certainly at a place like the Cove -Remember 18% gratuity is included on every meal (and is added for the below estimates) -Expect to pay, for one person, for one plate, without alcoholic drinks: --Breakfast: $25-30 --Lunch: $30-40 --Dinner: $40-70 -Food quality: Mediocre. Again, both my wife and I consider ourselves reasonable, not overly critical, food evaluators. The sushi was not great both in imagination, fish quality and roll quality, I had a tuna poke bowl with fish that was not fresh (overly fishy, couldn't finish the bowl). The dinner entrees, in general, lacked spice and seasoning- the curried snapper was sadly bland...things along that general theme applied to the other entrees-- just disappointing overall. I would say we ate dinner there more than we wanted to, simply because there aren't many regional dinner options despite having a rental car. --A taxi ride to Daddy Joe's (5 min card ride) was $20 each way --Unca Gene's (Gregory Town) was the best dinner we had while on the island.
Beautiful location, with excellent and well kept facilities, beautiful villas, friendly and caring staff, creative and outstanding dining… all around, this place was amazing.
Can’t think of any real criticism, here.
This is a sophisticated but low-key resort on a remote island. There are two beautiful beaches and the common areas are scrupulously maintained and include a gorgeous infinity pool, a library, a fitness center, and yoga studio. The food was excellent and offers a sushi menu as well as standard fare. The staff is gracious, polite and accommodating. We had an ocean front room with an enormous deck just a few feet from the beach. It was outfitted with a long built-in bench and a dining area. The room was enormous and included three showers- one was even outside. Furnishings were in excellent condition and made for extremely comfortable quarters. The property oversight falls to a delightful couple that keep a close eye on their guests to help ensure everyone has a memorable trip.
The place is beautiful. The staff are excellent and knowledgeable. Donald is THE MAN. Awesome lad. It would be five stars, but there was one incident that the staff know about from my post-stay survey that brought it down. After this incident, it’s honestly lucky to get 3 stars. A real shame, considering everything else about the stay!
Will come back
Amazing property and amazing staff
Amazing
100% Caribbean Gem. You really feel the caribbean ambient , SUPER friendly staff and also 2 amazing beaches. And at least 20 more heavenly beaches. Go to Twin Cove Beach ( just an hour driving South)
The staff was beyond amazing. They anticipated needs I didn't even think of and made sure everything was beyond expectations. They took the time to get to know us and planned experiences that suited us. Every staff member knew our names and always stopped to say hello and check on us.
Not one thing. Wish I could have stayed longer
Beautiful property, quiet, great staff. able to stay high on the beach.
Gorgeous, amazing place!!!
This place is magical. There is no other place to describe it. If you are looking for a small and quite luxury hotel in absolute paradise, this is your place 🏖 The place was at 50% capacity and you felt like you had the whole place to yourself. The location, views, service, rooms, food is outstanding!! I would give it 20 stars if I could. Keep in mind that it is a small hotel, so you won't have tons of stuff to do. The place is more suitable for couples wanting to relax. But you can reserve activities around the island and I suggest you do. DO NOT MISS A BOAT TOUR to swim with sea turtles, stingrays and pigs. Top 3 hotels I have ever stayed at.
I highly recommend the Cove
Hotel facilities are exceptional. the beach area is gorgeous with the greenest water ever. water sports were great (SUP, kayak). the room we had (facing the sea) was spectacular. best of all: the people of Bahamas running the whole place. EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you Nicole for the birthday serenade. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Genuine people. The restaurant was great. The infinite pool next to it after a dip on the beach was a refreshing welcome. The side of the beach we stayed at was quiet with all couples. We loved it. The grass throughout the beach area and pool was fine, like golf course. So you can walk barefoot everywhere comfortably.
The Cove is the best! Everyone is friendly and the Place is so relaxing. Has fun activities to do or just lay by beach and pool. Food is excellent as well as the service. Highly recommend
We loved the sushi chef and the food and beverage staff. They were absolutely amazing. Trying to convince my boyfriend to go back already! :)
The property is beautiful with two different beaches to choose from. The staff was incredibly friendly. Truly the nicest people. They were very accommodating as well, helping us to book a boat trip.
Service was extremely inconsistent. Coffee is free if you ask for it at the bar, but if you're sitting at a table 2 feet away it costs money. Sometimes we were given fresh towels in the room, sometimes we weren't. We never received robes in the room, even though our neighbors in the same type of room did. These inconsistencies left us scratching our heads more than anything, but when you pay as much as you do to stay here, you'd think things would be a little more buttoned up.
Everything was beyond amazing from the check in with Melinda to the incredible staff at The Cove. I couldn't have had a more fantastic time there! The Cove will always be my first choice!
this place it is a paradise ,we really enjoyed in there ,definitely will go back again to stay longer.
food
The Cove is a perfect couples get away, it was our 35th anniversary. It is quiet and private. No crowds. The water in the 2 coves is beautiful; kayak, stand up paddle board, or snorkel to your hearts delight. Or just lay on the beach all day. Sunsets are awesome. The resort offers plenty to do from island tours, to boat tours, spa, etc.
great rooms. beautiful sea
loud music at pool the food was atrocious. not fresh.
The Cove provided us with a 5 Star experience! Staff , food and location are all top notch.
This was the most beautiful secluded resort I have ever visited. I loved every single aspect. The food at the Freedom restaurant was absolutely phenomenal. If you are looking for a private restful get away, this is for you!
Absolutely beautiful location. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Food was excellent although a bit pricey.
The Cove is more beautiful in person than photos! The Master Cove Suite was big & dreamy with a direct view of the beach. Service was top-notch and the food was excellent. We never left the property!! Cannot wait to return!
Perfect stay
Beautiful hotel! Really serene, quiet location and top notch service. Can't recommend it highly enough. My only complaint (which some people might prefer) is the very soft mattresses. Other than that, 5 stars
A memorable experience. The Cove Eleuthera is one of the most relaxing and unique hotels I've stayed in!
I'm not too sure there was anything different about this property compared to others. The one nice thing was that it wasn't full or busy at any point. Lack of consistently drove me nuts. House keeping cleaned something's one day but not the other day. We were vacationing with a group and sometimes they would have things in their room that others didn't receive. Dinner staff and food was different from night to night so things were always made differently or set up different. If you ordered the same thing on two different nights, you never knew what you were getting.
