The over priced of all the things. Room, meals. The TV is restricted, and you can not to watch your device on the room tv. The cable channels system failed.

The hotel is excellent and it exceeded our expectations. The facilities and service was excellent too.

Todo me gustó. Es un lugar con instalaciones increíbles y con un diseño único para disfrutar en familia.

es algo que no se puede cambiar y es que hay que moverse en carro porque todo es lejos. No dejaron a mi hioja patinar al lado de las canchas de tenis y no encontramos un lugar para patinar.

La ubicación, las instalaciones y el personal son perfectos para disfrutar de Avándaro y Valle de Bravo sin preocupaciones. Incluso, si quieres quedarte en el hotel, también tiene todo para disfrutar de un buen descanso y la comida es deliciosa a toda hora.

Soy cliente del Hotel desde hace muchos años, es muy confortable y bonitas Instalaciones.

Lo que no me gustó es que tuve que abandonar las Instalaciones del Hotel un día antes por un imprevisto familiar, se accidentó un nieto y quedó sin disfrutar una noche, la cuál se llamó a Servicio al cliente del Hotel y se pidió que se dejara abierta esa noche para otra oportunidad de viaje o el reembolso en último de los casos. También se llamó a Booking el intermediario para la reservación. Quedaron de enviarme la respuesta por correo electrónico a dirgrupo@gruper.com.mx que hasta el día de hoy no he recibido. Yo creo que ante estas situaciones el Hotel debería de responder con cualquiera de las 2 opciones y como muestra de atención y servicio al cliente.

Es un hotel muy lindo, buen restaurante, las habitaciones son lindas.

Nos asignaron una habitación con estacionamiento no techado y estaba lloviendo a cántaros e íbamos con un niño pequeño, aunque pedimos alguna alternativa fueron super cortantes en que estaban al 100% de ocupación y no podían hacer nada, lo mas triste es que si hubo un estacionamiento vacío justo al lado de nuestra habitación todo el tiempo. Adicionalmente la chimenea no funcionó en nuestra habitación.

Me gustó que hayan remodelado el hotel, la comida es buena, las habitaciones de buen tamaño, bonita vista, ubicación. El servicio del bar podría ser más rápido. Las instalaciones están muy bonitas. Si lo recomiendo

La habitación todo bien menos la TV y la chimenea. El control de la TV no funcionaba muy bien, y la chimenea recién la última noche que estuve pudo funcionar bien, ya que alguien de mantención la arregló. Esto pasó en las dos habitaciones que teníamos del hotel.

El desayuno pésimo. Pedimos huevos con jamón y sacaron los huevos de las bandejas que tienen para el desayuno buffet. No puede ser que pida huevos y no los hagan en el momento. Eso fue la primera mañana que estuvimos ahí, las dos siguientes tuvimos que salir al desayuno fuera del hotel, donde sí encontramos un mejor servicio y comida bastante más rica.

Marcamos a recepción dos veces para pedir que nos dieran el kit de mascotas y la botella de bienvenida y nunca no la dieron. Muy mal servicio. El frigobar y los snacks que supuestamente te dejan en la habitación con costo adicional estaba vacío y al final nos enteramos que debían estar llenos.

Muy bonito hotel buen servicio pero pésimo el checkout me querían cobrar la renta de la habitación que ya estaba preparada con expedía más otros cargos que no reconocía. En total me estaba cobrando más de $ 10,000 sin justificar y quedó casi 1 hora aclarándolo

Muy lindo lugar, los cuartos están limpios. Aunque tuvimos un poco de calor porque no hay AC y se sentía mucha humedad. Pero en general tuvimos buena experiencia. El staff muy amable siempre. El servicio del restaurante un poco lento.

I had a surprisingly excellent stay at Avándaro Hotel. The service was warm, empathetic, and truly stood out—especially in how thoughtfully they accommodated a guest with special needs. The food was fresh and delicious, with two on-site restaurants and a charming coffee shop that serves the most sought-after yogurt ice cream. The amenities were spotless, and the pool was kept at the perfect temperature. Our suite was clean and comfortable, offering a relaxing stay—though there is room for improvement in the shower area. I didn’t received the VIP treat Special mention to the reception team and the staff handling transportation, who were especially kind and helpful. The hotel is also well-located, allowing for an enjoyable and safe 25-minute walk into town. I would definitely return.

Very pretty setting with quaint small rooms. Good food in the restaurant. Good view of the volcano Nevado de Toluca on clear days. Gorgeous tennis and pickle ball courts. This property is very close to the lake but it is not visible from the hotel (that we could tell). Very quiet neighborhood; peaceful location.

Communication could have been better. After checking out we realized a pair of AirPods had been left in the room. We received no response after contacting them. Losing a pair of AirPods is definitely not a huge deal but some response indicating they would be on the lookout for them would have been nice.

They don't seem to be aware of the VIP access/amenities or upgrade -- that is not good

The property just feels like home. Easy to get around, you have everything there, the food is great, and the views are to die for!

I felt like I was being played every moment of the stay. First, they gave us a worse room than what I had paid for. I had to get on the phone and list out all of the features of the room that I had booked to get them to move us - our original room did exist, they just thought they could get us to stay in a cheaper room. Second, I got a massage for 30 minutes. It lasted 20 minutes and I was charged for 30. Third, prior to my arrival I got several emails asking me to prepay the room even though booking.com guaranteed a refundable stay with payment only several days before arrival. The emails were threatening - telling us we had to pay or face cancellation. Good thing I never actioned them. And last, the service and food was terrible. Breakfast was $35 usd a person for a very mediocre buffet. Our room was very far from reception and we could never get a ride to the lobby. At check out, we called several times for help with our luggage and no one ever came and had to do it ourselves.

The staff were amazing and very helpful.

We booked a golf course view room and got a totally different dull one with no views at all.

This is our second time staying at this property for a family vacation. I have young children, and the facilities, like the pool, are excellent for them. The food is good, offering plenty of comfort food options. During our last visit, I was unsatisfied with the service and gave them a 3-star rating on a different platform. I believe they have improved since then, but their level of service still does not match the prices they charge. I hope they enhance their service further. Nevertheless, it's still an excellent option for people visiting the area.

Acaba de ser remodelado; en cuanto a decoración quedó mucho mejor; respecto a servicio y limpieza también está medio adecuado, pero a la comida le falta mucho.

En un principio, nos decepcionó ver que nos daban una habitación que no correspondía al precio que habíamos pagado, pero se aclaró y contamos con una cortesía para uso en el futuro. Agradecemos mucho la amable atención, y volveremos con gusto.

Las instalaciones son maravillosas: espacios abiertos muy bien diseñados, piscina, canchas de tenis y pádel, pero el servicio es terrible. Hay mucho personal pero sin la capacitación o supervisión adecuada, dando información incorrecta o simplemente no atendiendo las necesidades. Ni una sola vez vi a un gerente de servicio al cliente hacerse visible. Desafortunadamente, experimenté lo mismo la última vez que visitamos.

Only thing to be improved is the heat in the rooms.

We spent two hours waiting for the staff to show up to turn on the gas chimney (the instructions by the chimney were to call for them to do it). After five phone calls to the reception a staff member showed up at 2 am!

No amenities, I did not bring thinking that for this price at least a shower cap… no Kleenex no soap no toothbrush, no paste nothing!

Loved everything about this hotel! Everything has been updated since the last time we were here. The bedroom was spacious and clean, very comfortable for our family of 4. The kids were really happy they had an awesome play area. The amenities were great, the pool is heated so even if its cold you can use it. The restaurant is really good, had an amazing breakfast buffet! There was a spa, but unfortunately didn’t get to go, hopefully next time for sure!!!

Property was beautiful but it was unclear what was accessible to the guests vs. owners. For example, the golf course seemed to be member only and other areas of the property were also limited to only members. Also, there was no air conditioning or fans and the rooms, while they had great views, get a lot of sun which warmed the rooms.
