Excellent location near to the station and the Place Comedie. Beautiful 19th century hotel sympathetically restored and updated for the 21st century.

It was a beautiful hotel, with a great breakfast and definitely the best hotel shower we’ve ever had! The staff were lovely and spoke good English but allowed me to practise my French on them! It was only a very short walk from Place Comedie and the excellent trams.

Getting to it by car was a bit difficult. We had to phone the hotel every time we reached a semi-pedestrianised road, to ask reception to lower a bollard - this was slightly stressful.

Lovely hotel in a very good situation for travelling. Peaceful for sleeping. Also very clean and the room was an excellent size too. Nice pool too.

This is a lovely hotel! We were only there for a night but it was the favorite hotel of our trip. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from both the main train station and the main square (Place de la Comédie). The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel had a very classy and beautiful decor. Highly recommended!

Our room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was nicely arranged and varied in a beautiful room. Staff were nice and accommodating. Helpful with recommending a wash and fold nearby for our 3 week foreign trip. Beds and individual sleep units a real plus. Location was central. Train station and all the transport is amazing and nearby.

The only slight downside was not being allowed to eat our breakfast inside (in the dining room) when it was colder outside, because we’d chosen the express rather than full buffet breakfast.

Nice lobby. Clean room. Pool was small but nice at the end of day. Breakfast was plentiful if uninspired. Some of the staff were nice.

You need to advocate for help with bags , even though there are steps up to the lobby from the street. Neighborhood wasn’t great- not unsafe but not pretty. The front desk staff was pretty mixed. One guy explained that I didn’t get the bed configuration that I was supposed to have because I used booking.com. Pretty short with me when I pointed out I had paid for a different room and did not help. You need to get a pool towel from the front desk and when you enter the pool area you walk through a huge puddle to “clean “ your feet (?!) which was a huge slipping hazard. There weren’t enough chairs in the pool so there was some competition for chairs. But the pool setting itself was nice enough (urban pool, not huge). Breakfast was simple but the room is nice.

We were travelling by car and the pedestrian zone had recently been extended to include the Hotel. We weren’t aware of this and it took us over an hour and a half to arrive at the hotel.

La position de l’hôtel tout près du centre-ville, pas besoin de prendre la voiture De l’extérieur, l’hôtel semble simple mais à l’intérieur, la restructuration a été admirablement faite, en conjuguant l’ancien au moderne. On a pris une chambre superior, elle était grande, confortable et bien aménagée. Le seul point faible est le lit… avec un matelas trop dur pour moi…

In the rooms, the hotel provides paper cups for coffee rather than porcelain. I’m not sure if it’s easier for the cleaning staff or for attempt in saving water.

Have real plants in the lobby. I can’t see why you would have artificial plants even if they are nice, expensive ones. Sounds like a little thing but was a bit disappointing bearing in mind the quality of everything else. Also, real glasses and cups in the rooms not disposable. I feel like considering the age of the hotel and how lovely the lobby looked, the room itself could’ve had a bit more character.

Staff friendly, great pool, nice outside area in the heart of old town, internal art deco lovely areas internally.

L'accueil le jour de l'arrivée : on ne nous a rien expliqué (le fonctionnement de la piscine,ou se situe le centre de bien-être, le Wi-Fi....).et les questions que nous avons posées a la receptioniste semblait l'embêter. Le ménage dans la chambre n'est pas fait tous les jours : c'est pas digne d'un hôtel 4 étoiles

The lobby was welcoming and comfortable, the staff were generally pleasant, and the location was convenient enough. In many respects, the hotel is ok.

Good location and decent facilities cannot compensate for the fact that the rooms have virtually no sound insulation. I lost hours of sleep on both nights because of noise from the neighboring room, and management showed no interest in resolving the issue beyond a casual apology. One of the worst hotel stays I have had, and I will not be coming back.

Great to have a pool at the hotel. Air con was amazing to come back to considering how hot it was. Hotel bartender in particular was very friendly.

Not a lot of seating at the pool, lots of people reserving seats who weren't at the pool.

La climatisation et le fait qu’il y aie une piscine, ainsi que l’option (petit) hammam et salle de sport au cinquième ainsi que la localisation sont parfaites. Les produits rituals sont un ajout certain, ainsi que les cafés dans les chambres.

Certains standards ne correspondaient pas à un 4 étoiles: personnel à l’arrivée qui ne précise pas d’emblée qu’il y a la salle de sport au 5 eme mais que la climatisation n’est pas réparée; que les chambres soient oubliées d’être nettoyées alors qu il s’agissait d’un séjour de plusieurs jours et que nous devions redemander à plusieurs reprises que cela soit fait (pas de mention label green), ce qui a été pénible; petit-déjeuner peu fourni une heure avant la fin, ce qui oblige les clients à venir plus tôt; pas toutes les sortes de lait végétal à disposition; piscine petite qui est rapidement bondée; personnel ne mettant pas à disposition dans l’immédiat les linges de piscine aux client.es; pas d’explication à l’arrivée sur le lieu du déjeuner, la piscine, le fonctionnement du bar mais juste le prélèvement bancaire et la distribution de la carte avec un mot sur l’ascenseur; que l’hôtel ne précise pas qu’il y a un prélèvement de caution de 20.- par nuit à l’arrivée (certes remboursée ensuite). Par contre, personnel très serviable et davantage professionnel dans la salle à manger, même si une personne pour gérer tous les clients est insuffisant.

Basen, śniadania oraz poziom obsługi.

Drzwi do toalety się nie domykały, na ścianie były czyjeś czarne długie włosy. Zostałem skasowany za użycie pastylki kawy w pokoju 1,5€! Do tego nadal czekam na zwrot części depozytu. Śniadania bardzo dobre, obsługa miła. Ale nie polecam.

Qu’il nous soit demandé 100 € supplémentaires au prix prévu pour anticiper sur d’éventuelles consommations ou prestations supplémentaires. La propreté de la salle de bain n’était pas à la hauteur de la prestation avec des détourages de carrelages non faits. Le carrelage était encrassé et des cheveux étaient présents à différents endroits.

The hotel doesnt look much from the outside but once inside the reception and communal areas have a classic/elegant style. It has a much grander feel inside. The outside courtyard area is great for drinks and food. The pool was small but did the job. The bar was elegant and the staff there very friendly. We booked 2 interconnecting rooms that worked well for our family. We had problems with our room key but they fixed it quickly. Rooms are spacious, clean with good wardrobe space. The location is very close to all the main sites, bars and restaurants. Perfect for exploring the city on foot.

We booked a parking space but the Waze app (recommended by the hotel) took us down a street we couldnt fit the car through (not a massive car) and we couldnt find another way to the hotel. After some time being sent in circles by the app we gave up and called the hotel and they recommended the next closest car park in Place de La Comedie. Found this no problem. Parked here for the same price as the hotel and was just a short walk from the hotel.

Las instalaciones son muy cómodas, bonitas y limpias. La ambientación del hotel en general es muy agradable y la habitación muy grande. El desayuno muy rico.

La piscina, es muy pequeña para el tamaño del hotel. La ubicación. Es verdad que está muy céntrico, pero la calle es un desastre, olor a orin, indigentes, suciedad… nada recomendable para un paseo por la noche. Y el acceso con el coche, pusimos el gps y con nuestro coche, que es de un tamaño mediano grande, era imposible pasar por ciertas calles tan estrechas. También hay varias barreras por las que no puedes pasar, el hotel debería avisar de esto previamente.

I expected more from the room, a bit more luxury. It was basically just a bed and that is all the room you had. After a long day of work and walking through the city, I wanted to relax a bit and watch TV. TV is older and couldn't cast from phone and almost only has French channels... This could be improved. The airco also automatically activated every hour, also during the night. Tried everything to make it stop but it didn't.

My partner and I recently stayed for four nights at the Oceania Le Métropole Hotel in Montpellier and could not have asked for a better location. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the city centre, making it the perfect base for exploring everything Montpellier has to offer. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean throughout our stay. We were also pleasantly surprised to find beach towels provided, which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was excellent, offering a full continental selection with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes and preferences. There was something for everyone, and it set us up perfectly.. The hotel's facilities were superb, including a lovely swimming pool, Jacuzzi and plenty of outdoor seating areas where guests could relax and unwind. There is also a bar on-site and gym, which unfortunately we did not have time to visit. What truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service from the reception team. The staff were professional, attentive, and always willing to help. Nothing was too much trouble, whether it was arranging a taxi or allowing us to remain in our room a little longer after check-out, which was greatly appreciated. The only point visitors should be aware of is that a local tourist tax is payable for each night of your stay. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Oceania Le Métropole to anyone visiting Montpellier. We would happily stay here again on a future visit.

It's a great spot, close to the heart of Montpellier and a short walk from the St. Roch train station. The hotel is clean, modern, and welcoming. The staff speak very good English. My family loves having the pool available on hot days and warm Montpellier nights. The hotel breakfast is very good, something for everyone. We've stayed here twice and would keep coming back

Great location, close to the train station and centre. Friendly staff. The room was spacious with good air conditioning. We had dinner in the restaurant on one night and it was excellent and very good value.

The only thing that was a little unusual was the frosted glass partition in the shower area, which didn't allow for a lot of privacy. It wasn't a problem for us as a couple but it might be an issue for friends travelling together.

Lovely hotel in a great location for exploring the city. We travelled into the centre via tram which was easy to find/use and ran on a very regular basis, a good way of getting around. We didn't have breakfast or dinner in the hotel (only because we wanted to find a particular bar and there were so many options close by) but the facilities looked lovely and public seating areas were very comfortable.

The fact that the hotel had an outside garden and pool area was a definite plus for a city centre location. Our only slightly negative comment would be about the pool however which definitely needed a deep clean, it was satisfactory but the water was slightly cloudy and the top layers of tiles needed a good scrub.

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Man ist in 10 Minuten bei der Oper und bei der Altstadt. Das Frühstück ist zwar nicht üppig, aber absolut okay.

Das Hotel ist auch mit 3 Navigationsgeräten nur sehr schwer zu finden. Trotzdem das Hotel uns Informationen betr. des gemieteten Garagenplatzes geschickt hat, fanden wir diesen nicht. Überall hat es Einbahnstrassen, Roller, welche die Weiterfahrt verhindern, Tramgeleise, Velowege, Baustellen usw. Wir haben das Auto dann in ein öffentliches Parking gestellt und sind mit den Koffern zu Fuss zum Hotel gelangt. Das Abendessen haben wir im garten eingenommen. Es hatte kaum Menschen dort. Und direkt neben unserem Tisch hatte es ein Ameisennest. Auch viele Fliegen schwirrten herum. Also, drinnen bleiben, auch wenn es warm ist. Die Zimmer sind nicht sehr gross. Kleider haben kaum Platz.

Oh my goodness, RECONSTITUTED (Powder) scrambled eggs at breakfast!! Terrible! Give us the real stuff please! the bacon was soggy and unappealing also.

Estaba super bien ubicado, al lado de la estación de tren. El hotel es precioso, todo está limpio y el desayuno buenísimo. La cama muy cómoda. El personal muy agradable y atento.

Si tuviera que poner un pero, es el jaleo que había en el patio porque se juntaron un grupo de 20 ingleses, que molestaban y gritaban.

Breakfast could be improved with vegan options (this wouldn't have taken much extra thought/ effort). Would prefer a kettle rather than the Nespresso machine that always seems to waste the Pods. Proper cups too rather than paper ones.

Location was terrific, staff gave a really warm welcome on arrival with lots of local tips. The lobby, garden and pool are really cute. Montpellier is a beautiful city and unexpected gem!

I was staying in a room with a friend and the shower room wall is frosted glass facing out to the bedroom. Lacked a bit of privacy but not an issue for us - just to consider for others.

We stayed here 8 years ago, and not much has changed, though the rooms have been refreshed. Our room was clean, though rather small. Worst featyre was the absence of chairs! 2 round stools were provided, though there was really nowhere to sit on them. Airconditioning good. Breakfast was OK, but it would have been nice if there had been more variety. Bar service was poor: often the bafrman had other duties and was absent, this resulted in long waits. Overall, pleasant enough.

The hotel is a lovely, with a slightly genteel but absolutely not snobbish feel. It feels a bit like stepping back in time but everything is well maintained and very pleasant. There is a nice little bar in the lobby, and a quiet pool, beside a nice walled garden for a drink or lunch. The pool is a little overlooked by neighbouring residential buildings and their residents’ balconies, but that doesn’t interfere with the enjoyment. The pool was the perfect temperature - cool enough to get relief on a baking hot day but not so cold you takes ages to slide in. I would definitely go again!

It would have been nice to be allowed to bring a drink (in non breakable containers) to the pool, but that is quibbling.

Bathroom toiletry items could have been better. There was only a combo shower gel /shampoo in the shower, which was harsh on my hair and no conditioner and I had to find a pharmacy to purchase my own. These things are very inexpensive and I really appreciate them as would most women staying in a hotel of this quality.

Room large. Beds comfortable. Shower good-but care with slippery! Small safe in room. Plenty of storage. Bar well-stocked. Breakfast okay, but could have done with wider choice of fresh fruit. Pool and garden used by us. Location ideal for the town the trams and the rail station. Free bottle of water provided daily, but sadly, no fridge to cool them.
