Happy I chose here. Great option. Beautiful nearby beaches and cafe. Friendly staff. Super helpful. Breakfast was great. Will most definitely recommend.
They did not have food or drinks available around the hotel at all times and you needed to reserve seating for dinner. They don’t let you sit with your friends if you don’t reserve with them. Limited options for food and multiple spaces in the resort that were not accessible or open.
No brach, but good place to stay
The staff was friendly. The place was dirty
Lovely property that retains a historic flavor yet modernized with beach access and sea views. Pools were closed for cleaning quite often.
Nice and peaceful atmosphere. Just wished there weren't so many stairs to navigate.
Tasty food, great staff, clean rooms
The staff
Good service, comfortable beds
The people
cold showers, low water pressure! Made a complaint staff got very irate, picked up a wet floor sign attempting to swing it at me! Other staff had to stop her m! She then threatened to kill me while calling me curse words! would never stay here again
The property was very beautiful. The staff was very personable and helpful. Room service was not available. The room was serviced too late in the afternoon.
The place has live band during dinner time, front dest and maintenance are ok staff. There was no water for almost all day, no contingency plan. Some servers don’t even smile.
what I like about my stay at Savannah Beach Club Hotel was the friendly atmosphere and hospitality - everyone made us feel welcome. Unfortunately the seaweed that washed up on the beach made it difficult to enjoy that area of beach front; we were still able to spend time lounging on the beach.
Nice sandy beach with lots of sun loungers but limited shade. Sea to rough for bathing but hotels offers free shuttle to another beach for all inclusive guests. The hotel itself is well designed and roomy but needs refurbishment. Some staff were OK but found some surly and a couple downright rude. Basically its a 3* All Inclusive that caters for mass tourism. Luckily we were only there for 2 nights on a B&B basis. Every guest (AI as well) who wants a small bottle of water in their room is charged a ridiculous amount. Luckily we were only there for 2 nights on a B&B basis - breakfast just about acceptable.
The staff was kind and helpful. The property is in a great location. However, it is older and that shows with the condition of many of the external areas and rooms. The food was also just ok. Getting the breakfast buffet then venturing off property for your own lunch and dinner would probably be better than buying the all inclusive. However, the drinks were great and that was also included. Every staff member encountered was very kind.
Property was not bad. Staff was friendly. Property was clean
This property is all about the location: beach front, various pool settings, and outdoor dining. The rooms are only satisfactory: no face clothes, only one type of "soap" for everything meaning no shampoo, cream rinse, body wash, hand soap. Toilets barely flush and rooms have minimal "old" furniture. Staff friendliness is a hit and miss scenario. Location has numerous stairs and levels to tackle - no elevator.
Staff was unfriendly. One staff at the desk. Took 45 minutes to check in. Asked to check in 15 min early and they said no. Big lineup to check in at 3. Shampoo only in the shower. Food was 5/10. Disappointing stay. We won’t be back.
Excellent
We had a great stay, the hotel is kind of detached from other properties so it feels very peaceful while being a walking distance away from the boardwalk with restaurants bars live music and main beach with surf jet ski rentals etc
Very good location! Relaxing, clean rooms with lots of room. Pools and beach very nice. Good for a relaxing on the beach in the hotel site. Not far from Carlisle beach but surrounding area a little run down
Service at beach bar was terrible. There are some problems with 1” worms in our room. The main restaurant served excellent food and the service there was superb. The service personnel are super nice and very helpful and the physical ambience is very attractive.
I stayed here before. We had a rain storm this time around. All good!
Really good location for visiting the south coast. Also convenient for trips to Bridgetown and the east and west coast.
Cute, very clean hotel on the beach with friendly staff. It is just a shirt taxi ride to the cruise port. We are glad we stayed here!
Not suitable for people with disabilities Very confusing restaurant arrangements £44 for buffet …poor. ?expensive
Clean hotel, with friendly attentive staff. Great breakfast. Good location with bus stops nearby. Walking distance to George Washington House and Lanterns Mall for dining options. Convenient to travel to St Lawrence Gap and the airport.
Lovely ocean views and beach
Beautiful and well equipped place, with direct access to the beach .
Overall good experience.
Nothing like what is seen in the pictures, the beach also isnt bathable. The pools dirty, toilet wasnt working properly
Wonderful staff and very clean inside the room. Outside areas needs up keeping.
The only issue that I encountered was the leaking iron that I left a note in my room to housekeeping that was not address. That was my only issue.
.
Good hotel, kids club was excellent The walkout to the pool from 2nd floor was fantastic.
Property not clean as expected, room don’t clean when you go out and come back no towels , always getting lock out the room key issues . Beach was dirty no beach umbrella like the other resort them like Accra beach and Bouginvilla resort . Few staff very nice but place need to be clean up nicely to keep its name . Rooms are decent especially there bed very comfy going back there is a no no .
The staff here was very friendly and accessible.
Ac not working. Called maintenance who never showed up. Changed one room. Other room had same issue
The staff were amazing and helpful, friendly and kind. However, there were very limited food options. We had opted for Breakfast only. The buffet - if you arrived by 9.45 am (closing being 10), there would be hardly anything left. Even the omelette station would not have cheese etc! The beach bar did not serve any snacks, so if lying on beach or swimming, you had no choice. Lunch was buffet in one restaurant (they have several but were never open). We were happy to pay / bring business but just wanted may be sandwiches or some food we could order. Room service was exactly the same. The only food available was what was on buffet!! A beautiful property, under utilised or may be just for all inclusive.
Let’s just say I did not imagine taking a shower out of a bucket of water. They claimed to have loss water but the hilton (which is beside) did not. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!I did not get a partial refund
Staff was pleasant
We visited recently for my Aunt’s 80th birthday 25 people on 4/16/24. For the price i was totally disappointed, I have been visiting Barbados for over 35 yrs and never had a bad experience until now. I first was put in a standard room when I paid for a suite and an old filthy one with stains on the rug and bed. I had to wait until 6pm while my family enjoyed the beach missing the entire sun in the fun. Finally got to my room and the mattress had holes, towels stained daily, toilet filthy around the bottom, worn out toilet seat in the half bath, make shift repairs painted over holes! I was there 4 days and the same stains never cleaned. I spoke to the manager whom I showed all pictures and still waiting on a call from the GM. All I received was a smile and a sorry when they should have offered me compensation because truly this is the only way corrections are made with profit loss. The property on the outside beautiful will smell so clean in the lobby but the rooms need work and housekeeping needs serious training!!!! Lots of stairs, stairs and stairs not recommended for elderly or people with knee or back issues. I would not recommend this location if you want cleanliness especially for the price.
I enjoyed myself, the only thing was they need to have more options for people that are vegan, and who dont eat pork other than that im going there again in August.
The property was very clean but the alcohol hurt my stomach both times I had it. Dining was limited and for late night arrivals there’s not even a vending machine open past 8pm. Staff advised to not walk the streets at night so you might go to bed hungry. The beds only have a single sheet on them no comforters. Good water pressure though unlike Accra.
The Savannah Beach Resort exceeded all expectations with its exceptional service. From the warm welcome at check-in with Theresa setting the bar to the highest standard, and the personalized attention throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure every need was met promptly and with a smile Their dedication to customer satisfaction truly made our experience extraordinary. We can’t wait to return and indulge in their unparalleled hospitality once again. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway filled with attentive care and genuine warmth.
I had not eaten all day and the restaurant was fully booked. They said I would have to wait for everyone to be served before I could order to go and then told me the only thing I wanted ( cheese plate) was not available. The buffet the next day was unappealing and expensive so I didn’t eat there.
My experience at the Savanna Hotel in Barbados was mixed. The rooms, especially the showers, were disappointing, resembling outdated conditions with rusted fixtures and cracked tiles. While the AC in one room worked, the other required five days for maintenance since my check-in on the 24th. Service varied among staff, with some being helpful and friendly, but others in need of an attitude readjustment. The all-inclusive food service lacked diversity, primarily centered around pork, and there was minimal consideration for dietary needs. The daily menu remained unchanged. As an early riser, I faced challenges with the lack of coffee, water, and beverages before 7:30 am or even later. Accessing coffee required climbing five flights of stairs, and it wasn’t promptly available. Surprisingly, the hotel lacked room service, a departure from my experiences in other Caribbean hotels. On a safety note, the floors were excessively slippery; my son, recovering from a football injury, slipped and fell with no assistance available. Overall, while the Savanna Hotel has no merits, improvements are needed in various aspects to enhance guest experience and safety. In our rooms there were sights of cockroaches the place was very unsanitary.
Excellent beach front and pool. Nice property. There were surprise expenses that somewhat tarnished an otherwise excellent stay.
It was convenient for us cause most of the time was a 10minute drive, transportation is expensive and there is a lot of hidden fees
This is a beautiful hotel. It's a little on the pricey side. It comes with a mini refrigerator and a kettle only. The room is average. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had dinner at Rachel's but it wasn't to my likeness.
All inclusive hotel. But there food walking distance from the hotel. There’s cheap transportation that stops by.
Management needs to pay closer attention to detail when scheduling dinner reservations, property could be cleaner and in need of an upgrade. Reception team could be more accomodating. On the positive side, breakfast was excellent.
Good location, 30 mins to Airport, 15 mins to port, good restaurants near by “ Buzo” & “ Nari “ good beach and pool. Gabriel and Richard were great providing us with great service. Good value spot to book for your Barbados holiday
The room was right on the street and very noisy. Asked to switch rooms and was advised there would be a significant extra charge. There was virtually no hot water the entire stay, and there were no hand towels or face cloths. Asked the housekeeper directly about this and she managed to give us a bunch of extra coffee stir sticks! Not sure how that helps, especially since there was only coffee supplies for two cups. Talking to hotel staff at the desk was like talking to the wall.
The hotel grounds were very clean, and it was in a good area. The guests were very quiet, and it was an enjoyable experience. The pool and the private beach were also great.
No micro wave in the room and wash cloth not available. Meals very pricey and the price kept changing on the meals. Grounds very well maintained. Christmas decorations were beautiful and the New Year’s party was awesome. Picnic with the staff was great
It was a short but enjoyable stat
We went to the beachfront restaurant for food. It was quite late and the kitchen was closing but they kindly kept us a plate of curry each. Then they charged us $100 Canadian for 2 tiny plates of food. Turns out that was the price of the lunch buffet for 2. Except there was no buffet. It was closed. This was never explained to us. We complained and they then agreed to charge us $50 Canadian for 2 small plates of food. each plate cost maybe 2 bucks to produce. I’m happy to pay fair value for somebody’s hard work and talent but I’m so sick of being fleeced by bald faced swindlers.
Good value for our 1 night stay before boarding our cruise
First of all one of the front desk girl I think her name is shunika I feel she vex that we were there she have a very bad attitude, and over all the room is not up to standard in regards of facilities. It was a very disappointing experience staying there
Convenient to everything. Beautiful area, friendly staff.
Pretty much what we expected.
.
It rains mostly every day and the property gets real slippery and sloppy.
Enjoyed my stay and would recommend the all inclusive package to anyone . Stress free process. The staff was amazing and ensured that I was happy with the services provided. Security also went above and beyond from beginning to end. I didn’t want to leave. Also got an experience of a lifetime seeing sea turtles hatch on the resort property.
Nice property. We had an older room right by the road (which was quite noisy) but the room and bathroom were both decent sizes. We upgraded to a room overlooking the pool which was just as nice. Loved the covered patio/veranda. Not much offered in and around the hotel which we think was due to low season and low guest count. There was entertainment a couple of nights but everything done early. We didn't have a food plan and ate at local establishments which was great as everything was within walking distance. Unfortunately the beach was filled with seaweed every day and so unusable. All the staff were friendly and accommodating which definitely helped.
This is a very picturesque property where relaxing is made easy. The seating areas outside the rooms are spacious and peaceful. Staff always said hello when passing by. Very friendly environment.
Very cozy, clean and nice location. The only thing I would recommend is to have extra staff upon registration, front desk area. Only one person to assist several customers upon check in on a very busy time of the day. Not good experience for customers who have a long tiring flights....
The hotel itself was old fashioned but great. The building is 200 years old and it kept that vintage look with modern conveniences. One thing I did not like was that there was no hot water.
The staff was great and helpful, my room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately my room was so noisy that it sounded like trucks were being rerouted through my room- I barely got any sleep. No hair dryer despite being advertised as being avialable in the room.
I made many complaints about internet and i had to eventually buy a mobile data plan. If you don't require internet you will be fine.
Room was very far from beach and the tile around the pool is so slippery...works at the front desk acted like everything was a problem.
The room was gloomy and disappointing made me depressed, when explored ither areas of the hotel it was beautiful...beach bar and staff lovely and friendly. Rachels restuarant really disappointed us in that we wanted burgers through room service and they had to take order i am still waiting on the supervisor to call me to confirm order
Always enjoy staying here. This time I was NOT in the plantation rooms so it was a lot quieter and the rooms are very lovely. Staff is helpful and quite friendly. Property is conveniently located and has adequate restaurants and all that you need. Would stay again and again
Pros: Convenient location, lots of food places near by Friendly staff Nice pools Located right on the beach Cons: Internet was horrible and never really worked - this was a big deal for me.
Property was close to Garrison for walking and on the main bus route. It is walking distance from the Hilton and EU Delegation, where I had meetings. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a complimentary fruit plate and sandwiches upon arrival
Proximity to Bridgetown and ease of using a local bus versus a taxi
Customer service is excellent. Food is awesome. The room was very comfortable. The surroundings were kept immaculate.
There was nothing that really was out of the ordinary.
I love the property for it location close to city and beach area
The length of time it took to be seated for meals, the plastic dinnerware and the service should be improved. Tables should be properly laid before the guests are seated and not have things still coming while at d table
Great location, excellent staff and breakfast was good
Fantastic ambience with excellent food. Rooms clean, well decorated and spacious. Rooms however were not provided with toiletries eg no shampoo or conditioner.
Amazing and friendly staff. Food was great at all 3 Restaurants.
Location and it was value for money the price was reasonable the food was good and you had easy access to the town
Staff at the property are all professional, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast included is great value for money. Loved my plantation room although it is noisy since is on the street. Overall it was a great stay
The Savannah Beach Hotel was probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. From the rude staff to the uncleanliness of the entire hotel. I paid extra for the all inclusive package and it was a big waste of money. The drinks barely contained alcohol and the waiters would go out of their way to ignore your request. The pools were disgusting and looked like they had never been cleaned. Our hotel room was also disgusting. I wore shoes in the shower and had to buy my own soap and shampoo. The hotel charges you if you want clean towels so thankfully I brought my own which I just reused. When we checked in, the room across from mine had left a plate of food out by the door -and it stayed there until I checked out 5 days later. Although the room was bad the worst part of the whole trip was the service and the food. The food was inedible and always looked old and disgusting. In the mornings I would watch the air conditioner drip water on the cheese and fruit and one morning the scrambled eggs were legit green. The buffets were bad but anything that required a waiter was even worse. I would order a soda and then 10 minutes later they would come back and ask me what I had ordered. I would be done the meal by the time I even got water. Every morning I would have to chase down someone for coffee and every time I asked any questions the waiters would roll their eyes. I honestly felt uncomfortable my entire stay and was sad I had paid more for the all inclusive package.
Very friendly staff............,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I liked the way the security guard interacted with the guest. Their presence and interaction gave a high sense of security.
The property was very Quiet and very relaxing. Great for quiet get a way
A wonderful stay. Bring earplugs as most of the rooms face the pool. You know, children and water. At night the crickets are extremely noisy. Like a rusty swing set going back and forth from sun down to sun up. You think I'm kidding? just wait. Staff was great. Food was delicious. Enjoyed Chop Sticks and Drifters. Walking distance to Carlisle bay. Renting a car is a must to really see the island.
Friendliness and the willingness of the staff to assist. Excellent breakfast with a wide range of choices from Rachels. Excellent afternoon tea and dinner from Drifters. Life entertainment at Drifters was very good.
The staff was very friendly and helpful....took time to explain, assist me with all of my questions and inquiries. Im forever thankful.
The property was well kept. Beautiful, quaint ambiance and pleasing to the eye. Would definitely stay there again.
Although confusing at first, the layout was unique. The pool configuration is quite charming.
Everything was great for my 14 hrs stay😁
Excellent property , great staff friendly and cooperative. Clearing of beach rocks in water would make for a better swimming experience.
The center pool was a nice touch but both pools were a bit cold. It has nice seaside view if you want to swim I would recommend walking down a bit. Staff was courteous and friendly. The property needs a bit of an update but was still nice.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach access is great. There is a beach with baby powder like soft sand which is a walking distance. (Right in front of Hilton Hotel.) Great for boogie boarding and playing in the water. The street access is easy and there are $1 BDS taxis that runs north and south.
