Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Perfect location for a concert in the Stadsschouwburg just round the corner though slightly less convenient for the old town and train station (both a 15 minute walk). Very friendly reception, breakfast and cleaning staff. Good environmental efforts - the best thing is the constant refill of glass water bottles in reception, much appreciated.
We had a terrible first night's sleep, plagued by biting mosquitos in the room. When we spoke to the (very nice) receptionist in the morning she said they were aware of the issue but the management had decided against anti-mosquito devices in the rooms or other solutions to the problem! We had to spend 10 euros on a plug-in device in order to sleep better on the second night. I'm finding it very hard to understand this attitude from a 4* hotel.
