Amazing Stay Had a lovely short break away once again at the Majectic Hotel Tramore. Feeling so refreshed and ready to get on with life again. Staff and Management are so attentive and friendly. Can't wait for our next visit. Pat & Marie .... Kilkenny
Thanks so much for lovely relaxing visit, staff lovely and friendly, breakfast was fab, my grandchild loved it and we will definitely be back
Located in the pretty quaint seaside town of Tramore. Definitely one of my favorite hotels in Ireland mainly due to beach frontage. Our stay here was part of a group tour. The hotel fronts a lake/park with swans, ducks, etc., with sweeping view of the sea. Lots of parking. Lovely to walk along the beach or boardwalk; beautiful sunrise/sunsets. There's an Aldi grocery steps away. My room with partial view, was clean and comfortable; although I find it a bit dark (perhaps need more lamps with high wattage bulbs). The half cylindrical shower had trinkling/low water pressure. Dinner was fabulous at their beautiful garden restaurant. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and the menu presented to us had decent selection. Nicely decorated formal table setting & atmosphere makes for a special dining experience. Group breakfast buffet selection was equally outstanding (though lacking fresh fruits). The hotel is well maintained and would make a great venue for weddings and conference. Highly recommend.
I'd like to start out this review by saying I've been visiting tramore for the past 25 years, you could almost say its in my blood as I'm only 27 years old. My family and I stayed in the majestic for the first time since the relief of COVID, I understand it is a family run business because I've had the pleasure of talking to your wonderful manager so I write this to you The hotel is lovely and most of your staff are amazing (I will explain the rest later) the room I got was nothing short of perfect especially as I paid €1000 for the pleasure, but as a professional chef that has been working in 5* hotels for the past 12 years I started seeing big problems My auntie stayed in the hotel 3 weeks before my family and me, they came home boasting about how good the breakfast was, my auntie and me are massive fans of a good omelette and once she gave me the review of how good the breakfast menu was I was extremely disappointed when I came down for my breakfast (remember I paid €1000) only to not receive a menu I then saw a copy of it behind the breakfast check In podium so I lifted a copy, I was questioned by the waitress as to how I got this but once I asked why it's not handed out on arrival to the breakfast room she told me (hands down the most ridiculous answer I've ever heard in 12 years working in kitchens) witch was they don't hand out menus incase the kitchen gets busy ....... SERIOUSLY The bar was the cosy casual place I remember but for a tourist destination it's probably one of the most boring bars I've ever been to. It's the middle of summer!! No live music, no sport on TV we spent most of our time in the victoria around the corner instead. I will also mention that the pints where disgusting we drank mostly bottles for the first night until we where told by staff that the glass washer was broke and that's why the pints where not nice On my last night before leaving we finished in the bar late (when I say late I mean 11pm ) my key didn't work so I returned to the bar to ask the night porter to fix the issue the gentleman in question was of Asian decent (not that has anything to with what I'm about to say) but he then decided to curse and swear about me asking him to do this (again I paid €1000) once he did he then asked me if he gave me €40 could I send him €40 on revlout like I was a bloody online cash transfer I felt so uncomfortable I ran back to my room and locked the door. I am sorry management of the majestic I truly do love your hotel it really does have a special place in my heart but unfortunately this time I don't have much to say, I truly hope you don't take my comments personally I have such a love for tramore and your hotel and I will be back in the future I just hope my review was taken on board Thank you to the amazing staff at the majestic (you know who you are)
We cannot thank Laura enough for making our wedding so special. We had guests over to stay at the hotel leading up to the wedding and then had the reception there and I couldn’t fault them at all. The food at the wedding was exceptional and the amount of compliments we received from guests saying it was the best beef they’ve had. The service was amazing and nothing was a problem or too much for Laura and her team. Thank you so much for making our day so special x
We recently had an event at The Majestic Hotel. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I honestly would. In the build up to the event the help, support and care to detail that was put in was next to none. Any requests I made were always received with an "absolutely no problem, we will make it work" attitude and put me completely at ease. All our guests that were attending and also staying in the hotel were blown away by the staff and how polite and friendly the welcome at front of desk was and every request was met. The food, I don't know where to start. The meal was fantastic and the chef absolutely knocked it out of the park. Weeks later I am still hearing about how great the food was and everyone was well fed. It arrived to the tables hot, fresh and in a timely manor. Waiting staff were also fantastic and helped for any requests I made which is brilliant with small kids. I have to mention Laura. She honestly went above and beyond with every detail on the day. Every time I went back into the bridal suite there was topped up drinks and nibbles. The attention to detail was superb. She helped us plan and execute the perfect day. What I found fantastic was that she was always close by if I needed her for anything and made sure the day ran to schedule. The work, time and effort Laura has put into the hotel is unbelievable and she has truly lifted the standards to next level. The rooms are renovated beautifully and so clean and fresh. Although the view is amazing, i hardly looked out because the room was stunning and had entertainment systems to enjoy in our preparations. Early check in was facilitated for so many guests which is amazing. This can't have been easy and thank you so much to reception and house keeping staff for their hard work to make everyone's days glide easily. Laura and all at the Majestic Hotel, thank you so very much for making my wedding day perfect. I look forward to coming back again. Amy.
We love our stay at Majestic Hotel, is a pretty place with great service.
We had a wedding celebration party here and they were wonderful, food, room and service were excellent. Laura was great with communication throughout and the ease of planning was great. Our guests were very ompressed with the whole event.
Stayed at this hotel for a wedding, being hosted at the hotel. From start to finish I can not fault the service at all. Was excellent throughout. The location is great, with brilliant views of the seafront, and free parking right across the road. The rooms are a little hot due to no air con, but if you request a fan they can be provided, which made quite a lot of difference. The wedding was perfect and everything ran very smoothly.
2 night stay for a family gathering (11 in total) early August 2025. Staff were lovely. Food was absolutely fantastic and we ate in all 3 designated areas: restaurant/bar/breakfast room. The rooms were spacious (balcony/sea view). There was an issue with the water mains in the Waterford area but definitely not the fault of the hotel and they coped admirably in such a dire situation. We had a brilliant time and would definitely return. Thanks for looking after us so well, regards Joan.
We had a family Sunday meal for 10 people a few weeks ago and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was outstanding, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Excellent value for money and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience.
We never stayed at the hotel, but we attended an Italian themed evening ‘That’s Amore’ and was pleasantly surprised by the evening. The choice of Italian inspired buffet style foods were simply divine; from pasta, pizza, salads, lasagne, bolognese, soup, sea food, cannelloni, tiramisu and so much more. Unlimited Aperol Spritz was another great treat and all this for only €50 between 18:00 and 20:30. The staff were absolutely lovely, welcoming and generous with all they served and couldn’t do enough for their guests. They say they are going to be holding more themed evenings like this and we can’t wait to attend them in the future. Thank you to all the staff at The Majestic for a fantastic evening.
Went for drinks..of course they brought the kids drinks and never brought ours, the person who we ordered off literally only brought half our order so we had to go up to the bar and ask where our drinks were, they never forget to charge for them all though when paying.how hard can it be when you order 4 drinks to bring the 4, waitresses very serious looking, nice looking hotel outside but for a four star id expect much better service,
Stayed for one night in July while touring the south east. The Majestic is a lovely hotel with fantastic staff. Real hospitality is hard to train, it comes naturally, and everyone we met from Sam in the bar to the housekeepers were warm friendly and engaging. Special mention to Geraldine at Front Office who created the first impression that set the tone for the duration of our short stay. Thank you
We popped in for a pint, nice bar and cozy surroundings, however at €6.60 a pint of lager it's overpriced. Beautiful views of the sea and a lovely outside seating area, nice welcoming staff too . I would visit again but certainly wouldn't be my first choice due to the price of the beer.
The hotel appeared nice on arrival, Receptionist lovely and the rooms up to date, clean and modern. We stayed 21/05/25. We stayed for dinner in the bar and the portion size of feather blade beef was minute to say the least and presented in a small sized bowl. My friends were still hungry to say the very least after eating. I had ordered Tapas Wings and a Bread and dip option which arrived after everyone else had finished their meal. The hummus and tomato tapenade was completely tasteless. After walking around Tramore we came back to the bar at 10pm in the evening, we listened to the band and proceeded to the bar only to find both barmen had disappeared for over 20 mins. Nobody could serve us a drink!! Breakfast was nice but I was then horrified at the small dirty jam bowls. I found that quite disgusting. The serving spoons in the hot food counter area were just left without anyone cleaning up the mess. Beans and grunge all over the counters and plates. When I leaned over to get food from the silver hot trays, my clothes were almost covered in food stains. There is no attention to detail in this hotel. Management need to clean up their act. Furthermore the entrance to the hotel where there is outdoor seating is full of rubbish on the ground. A heatwave in Ireland and nobody has even thought to put out the seat cushions on the outdoor furniture. If I had brought a foreign person to this hotel, I would be horrified at the slovenliness of the details of this hotel. As an Account Manager who has travelled extensively to international hotels, I am embarrassed to be Irish as the standard is so low. In my opinion, it does not deserve a 4* rating.
Lovely hotel with nice staff.. rooms were spotless and fresh towels both mornings. Hadn't stayed before but would definitely stay again.. breakfast was nice also abd I ate chicken sandwich in bar.. very tasty staff were polite too.. lovely hotel
Fabulous place to stay. Rooms beautiful and comfortable.Great food and great staff. Very relaxing atmosphere. Would certainly visit again. A must visit whenever in Tramore. Short walk to the sea front and other attractions. Will definitely be back.
I visit this hotel often with the hubby and our son and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly, helpful and very accommodating to families (patience with children ☺️). It's always super clean, quiet and comfortable. The food is fab also, whether in the restaurant or the bar the service is always great. Location is perfect, close to amusements and beach and even Bus outside for convenience. That kind if hotel where you feel you can relax and switch off. Can't wait to return this year.
Currently staying here and it's a joke of a hotel. No hot water for a shower in the morning then don't server breakfast til 8am if you want it earlier you can have cornflakes and mucky brown bread. Rooms not refreshed everyday. Dinner menu is just frozen crap put on a plate nothing fresh about it. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless they were super desperate
This was a short notice sto off here the staff were brilliant and very friendly and helpful the hotel room and hotel was comfortable and lovely place the food and bar staff were outstanding to I loved my stay and will be back upon my travels back to irland in the near future thank you to all the staff for making my stay memorable
From the moment I stepped into my room at the Majestic Hotel, I felt wrapped in a kind of quiet magic. I was lucky enough to stay in a room with a balcony, and it was my first time ever having one on a solo trip—such a special touch. I would step outside and be greeted by the most breathtaking view: the North Atlantic Ocean, a serene lake, rolling green hills, and sweet little houses nestled along the slopes, reminding me of something out of Norway. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed it all like a living painting. The room itself was stunning—spacious, elegant, and filled with little comforts. The bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in, like being cocooned in a soft cloud. I spent mornings curled up in the cosy chairs by the window, working, and taking in the view. There was plenty of storage, beautiful decor, and just a sense of calm and refinement that made me feel truly at home. The staff were absolutely lovely—from the kind and attentive receptionists, to the friendly and helpful breakfast and bar teams. The cooked breakfast each morning was delicious, and I loved that it was paired with a beautiful buffet spread. Everyone made me feel so welcome. One of my favourite moments each day was coming back from a walk and sinking into one of the plush lounge chairs in the elegant royal blue lounge with its electric fireplace. They offered infused water (sometimes cucumber, sometimes mint and lemon)—a small but deeply thoughtful detail that made me feel cared for. The location is incredibly convenient—there’s an Aldi within walking distance for easy dinners and healthy snacks, the beach is just a stroll away along the promenade, and there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel for exploring further afield (like the beautiful Doneraile Trail). The coach from Dublin Airport stops directly opposite the hotel when you arrive, and the return stop is just a short walk away. It couldn’t be easier. This hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and deeply relaxing—everything I needed. I left feeling rested, nourished, and full of gratitude. I would absolutely return.
We stayed one night. The hotel was fantastic. The staff where really lovely. My daughter who is 12 and autistic carries a teddy sometimes and there was a woman making nasty comments. The male staff member in the bar was really nice (unfortunately we didn't get his name). He made her feel happy by saying he was very glad that she brought teddy to visit and no teddy should ever be left in the room alone. She was over the moon and relaxed after that. Little things like this mean a lot. That staff member just got it. He didn't say anything to the woman but still managed to make our daughter feel happy. Thank you so much to him. We stayed Saturday the 12/4/25. We will be going back. Thank you majestic.
Had a lovely stay at this lovely hotel this weekend, the staff at the reception desk were absolutely lovely and so helpful as were all the staff in the bar and restaurant and the breakfast staff...the food is 10/10 for dinner and breakfast and the hotel was spotless and perfectly located with lovely sea view rooms... we highly recommend a stay here... we've stayed here 2 or 3 times and will definitely be back.... a perfect example of how hotels should be.... keep up the great work and thanks a million for Grace's little birthday surprise dessert from the staff, it made her day and her stay all the more brilliant for her.
.
Got married here a few weeks ago and although I am local to the area I stayed from the Friday until the Monday. Treated like absolute royalty. Laura was made for the role of wedding coordinator, she made us feel like we were the only couple she was looking after the last year while I know was run off her feet as general manager also. Can't speak highly enough, she was so attentive to every single detail, even on the day making sure everything was perfect. Such a beautiful hotel and the food was next level. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the hotel and the food. We will be sure to have all our future occasions at the Majestic.
This is my second time staying at the Majestic and I couldn’t recommend it enough. The rooms were fabulous with stunning views of the sea. The buffet breakfast had a fantastic selection. The dinner and service were brilliant (would definitely recommend the beef!)
My husband & I and our children had a fabulous time in the Majestic hotel. The service was superb. The General Manager Laura was just fantastic & gave us a wonderful welcome. The breakfast and evening meal was outstanding. We will definitely return.
Stayed here with my family just after Christmas and had a great time. Rooms were lovely, views are amazing and super service throughout our stay. We had breakfast at the buffet and it was delicious. So close to the beach, couldn’t recommend enough!
Stayed in December off 2024 Hotel clean staff was lovely but the bar menu was disappointing some off the dishes on the menu wasn't available not just one day but both days we stayed but we didn't say anything as their was Christmas parties on it was busy but today the 1st off January 2025 we were staying in waterford decided to go too Tramore for the day had a long walk and we decided to go into the Majestic Hotel for some light bits and drinks a lot off tables we full off used plates and cups and glasses even the tables we sat at took 20 minutes for the person to clean the table after been asked. Didn't take our order for about an half hour been there we ordered the pub grub basket after three quarters off a hour waiting we still got no food so we decided to leave just paid for drinks when my husband made a complaint to the manager who took our order he just said did you not get your Food yet !!!staff walking by tables and our table with spray and cloth didn't even bother to wipe our table it was the worst I have seen in a long time if staff doesn't want to be there on new year's day just say it as it spoils it for costumes
From check in to check out the stay was lovely. Very nice staff, small bit of cleaning missed as we found €2 and sweet wrappers under the bed (i dropped an earring). Super comfy bed and grand bathroom. Sea view room was so beautiful in the morning with coffee in the room. Will definitely be returning
Beautiful hotel, spacious room, sea view, delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel very nice spotless staff very nice shower unprodicable
Very friendly hotel staff so nice.
Lovely hotel in the seaside town of Tramore. Beds were comfy and the view amazing. It is on a main road but the double glazed windows block out the noise. Dinner at the hotel was nice and a good selection for breakfast. It was unfortunate that it was raining.
Nicely located and staff very friendly
Beautiful view of the sea and some of the best bar food I’ve ever had.
Our wedding at the Majestic Hotel was truly a dream come true! From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we knew we had made the right choice. The facilities were impeccable, the staff were incredibly accommodating, and the ambiance was simply breathtaking. Laura went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. Her attention to detail and dedication to making our day special were truly exceptional. From the initial planning stages to the day of the wedding, she was always there to answer our questions and provide guidance. The reception and dining was nothing short of spectacular. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the fish and chips, seabass and the service was impeccable. The music kept everyone on their feet and dancing the night away. The garden area was a picturesque setting for our wedding photos, with stunning views of the beach and sea. The Majestic Hotel has everything you need to make your wedding day unforgettable. The beautiful dining area, the spacious dance floor, and the stunning surroundings all contribute to a truly magical experience. We cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone planning their special day. It is a truly majestic venue that will exceed your expectations in every way.
There were lots of plugs! They had the heat come on with a timer and it didn't stay on. Not many channels on tv, breakfast had no fruit or pastries (prunes and grapefruit??). Not very soundproof and desk staff not overly friendly. I did have water views but it was cloudy so I couldn't really enjoy them.
the stay was fantastic as i had to book them from an apartment which was so bad. thank god for the Majestic hotel you are a life saver
Beautiful views!
Overall the room was fine, just small and dated. The bathroom floor was sticky for some unknown reason. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend this to anyone but fine for one night.
Came to the Majestic Hotel to visit my parents that were staying here and I couldn’t recommend it enough. The hotel was clean and the food in the bar was just delicious. My parents were full of praise for Alice at reception who checked them in. The bar was very busy but all of the staff still gave us service with a smile and made sure we were looked after, but I have to give a special mention to Sean who served us our drinks, and to Sophie who was more than accommodating to my daughters strict dietary requirements and really went above and beyond to ensure us it was not a problem, which is very uncommon for us. I don’t usually leave reviews but all of my family agreed that this was best food and some of the friendliest staff we have experienced in a long time, will definitely be bringing my family back again!
Some rooms were redone and looked great. Our room (family room)was not updated and was ok. Staff at check in was very nice and friendly. Check out was easy but they seem like they didn't want to be bothered. The place is showing it's age, a bit of a time warp to the late 90s, lobby furniture was well worn but comfortable.
Decent hotel with really friendly staff.
Outdoor patio facing waterfront, wonderful breakfast, helpful staff!
It does not have fan or air conditioning. It was hard for me to sleep.
Raquel at the front desk made us feel so welcome and special! It was my mom’s 80th birthday and she surprised her by leaving delicious cake and strawberries and a card in the room! She was lovely! We enjoyed breakfast in the dining room - great pastries! The decor in the lobby and halls was beautiful! We also really enjoyed the flowers outside around the property. Overall, our stay in Tramore was a big highlight of our trip!! Thank you!
Excellent sea view
Limited breakfast options. Only one waiter to 100 people, low value for the price paid,
I loved our family room very good and spacious Breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful beautiful hotel to stay in would recommend to family and friends !!!
Majestic was...very impressive... Location by the Sea and People service gave it - 20 marks out of 10. Top ...personal service in restaurent & reception! Highly recommend - fab decore - Amazing local staff who chat.
We had an amazing few days away at the Majestic Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the welcome and service we received was amazing. The friendliness of the staff was like nothing we have experienced before. Nothing was too much trouble, no matter how busy they were on a very busy St. Patrick’s Weekend. Great choice for buffet breakfast, piping hot food that was regularly topped up, and warm plates. We also ate in the bar, again food was delicious and piping hot. A particular item that we requested in our bedroom in advance in our stay was not overlooked. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated and toiletries were not cheap. Beds were very comfortable and bedroom at a comfortable temperature. A particular word of thanks to Colm, the stunning ‘Majestic St. Patrick’s Day Bride’, the lovely lady with the blonde hair behind the bar, and certainly not least …the lady on cocktail and coffee duty at the bar on St. Patrick’s Day. ( Sorry we did not catch your names). How they managed to keep smiling doing this busy weekend I’ll never know. All the staff were top class. Thank you Majestic Hotel, we’ll be back for sure. Its 5 stars from us *****
Myself and my wife love this hotel, definitely the best in Waterford, nice comfortable bedrooms, lovely sea views, and excellent breakfasts.
I’ve had many previous stays at the Majestic. Sadly, this will be my last. We were advised at check-in that there would be a Christmas party with a live band playing until 1am. Incredibly myself & my young children were given a room on the first floor, proximate to the ballroom. Thus we didn’t get to sleep until the festivities ended. My request to switch to a higher floor was denied. We also thought that the room wasn’t pristine, there were stains on the bed runner and a hairband from a previous guest left under the bed. At 3am the fire alarm sounded; the guy on reception was gruff & unhelpful when we rang. This alarm continued for 10 mins. No apology was offered at checkout, we had to raise the issue. We hadn’t hot water in the morning, reception disputed this rather than investigating. Really indifferent response to our problematic stay. Not the hotel it used to be
Excellent and perfect eco friendly hotel. They reduced the use of plastic in the rooms even the table water they served. Though rooms are small
Overall a very good stay. Great location with nice views, comfortable and clean rooms, friendly staff, very nice breakfast, and on premises bar open late.
My stay at Majestic was really really good. Excellent service, good breakfast and great location.
Surprisingly good, especially considering the reasonable cost. Would happily stay there again.
The room had a smell. Hotel is very old but adequate. Carrying luggage up stairs was not ideal.
Lovely sea view room. Easy checking.
Lovely place very friendly nice location
Just a fine place to stay. Nothing special, but not too bad.
We had a great stay The family room was great with bunk beds in a separate room. Staff were really nice and very helpful
Sadly, we were not so satisfied with the cleanliness of our room so decided to stay somewhere else after being there for 10 minutes. The room amenities and bedding seemed run down and there was a not fresh smell in the hallway and the family room that we had reserved. The location was lovely. We called to talk with a manager and they did not return our calls.
Nice family run hotel. Friendly staff and very convenient to the beach.
Stayed here on our first night in Ireland. Had a great visit. Plenty of parking across the street. Nice hotel, very clean. We stayed in a family room and it was spacious enough with good bathroom facilities. The breakfast at the hotel was very good and the staff was very welcoming. The hotel is right near restaurants and a grocery store. Nice view of the sea when it's clear.
Amazing location, plenty of parking. Beautiful views from room and at breakfast. Huge thankyou to Ann on front desk who went above and beyond to make our busy family trip, a restful holiday
Near the beach
The hotel itself is very nice, very clean and good location to beach and amusement park.
Great hotel with lovely views of the sea. Very happy with our stay and will 100% be coming back!
The rooms were adequate, bed comfortable and we had a great sea view with a balcony. You couldn’t easily sit on the balcony as no chairs were provided and it was very small and overlooked. The restaurant was very pretty with huge windows making it lovely and light. The room entry cards were very annoying as they would stop working everyday even though we made sure to keep them away from our phones. The hotel is very convenient fir walking anywhere in Tramore.
Nice hotel breakfast was lovely lovely view from the room. Not enough staff working in the bar 2 people working waiting ages for food couldn get a second drink no staff members to be seen.
Very good just room was very hot
Very pleasant all round..
We stayed the first weekend in February. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was self service with plenty of hot food. The restaurant was not open for evening dinner, but I think that is just a seasonal thing. Overall a very lovely stay!
excellent location, cosy old hotel.
Had an amazing time jn the Majestic hotel tramore with my family. I love the hotel.. it is abperfect location and very clean and staff were lovely... I really think every room should have an mini fridge especially with families who has small kids for there food etc and to keep there food cold... other than that it was perfect
The hotel is lovely, great location. Was disappointed with menu for eve meal. At breakfast when i went to get a plate 8 of the plates had dried in egg even though they were meant to b clean.
Was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, room and breakfast. If I am in the area again I will return to this hotel.
Didnt have any problem with this hotel, very enjoyable stay.
A comfortable hotel with all the usual room ammenities. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast service friendly and efficient. We were disapointed that the restaurant was not open on either evening of our stay. There was food available in the bar but the offering was uninspiring and on the Monday night two of the dishes were not available. The young man in the bar was clearly under pressure and not coping very well despite only a handful of tables being occupied. I have given the hotel four stars overall despite the experience in the bar.
Met two different receptionists, both experienced ladies with a lack of warmth and poor people skills. Excellent food and service in restaurant. Manager in restaurant at breakfast time exceptional. Shower broken, receptionist stunned that no- one had reported it previously. Lovely hotel with fabulous views.
