Great location, spacious room, fabulous breakfast, friendly staff
Charge for parking, left the car on a local street for free, fully safe. Tea/coffee facility in the room would improve.
De resto o valor do almoço buffet e do jantar , pareceram me adequados
Swimming pools
Staff not very friendly
The snack bar had good food
You can't get your own drinks for dinner in the buffet restaurant so had to wait to be served. This took a while.when it was busy
A comida.
Localização do hotel

We travelled to Vila Galé Nautico as a family of 3, x2 adults and x1 child (aged 12) on an AI basis. I was slightly apprehensive before travelling as there were limited tripadvisor reviews and this was a new property to Jet2 for the 2026 season. However I needn't have worried at all. This hotel and holiday were fantastic! We paid for a private transfer which took us 50 minutes instead of the advertised 2 hours on the coach with Jet2, well worth it we thought. We had booked the cheapest type of room (a twin) and yes it was small, however it was modern and very clean. There was ample storage space (including a free safe) and plug sockets for all 3 of us. The slight downside was our daughter was given a VERY small single child campbed. She is quite tall for her age so it was a squeeze but she managed. We had emailed prior to our visit to ask for a lower room in a quiet location, exactly what we got, so thank you to the hotel for that. The bathroom contained a large shower that was always hot and pretty decent in power too. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels as often as we needed. We also had a free minibar that was restocked every day with fresh water (and lemon ice tea which went down well with our 12 year old). As people that don't spend much time in the room we felt it was fine for us and wouldn't feel the need to upgrade to a bigger room. The bar, snack bar and restaurants here were just superb! After the first day we didn't eat in the restaurant again at lunch, the snack bar had such a good menu and the food was made fresh to order (you get given a buzzer to take away with you until your food is ready so you can carry on enjoying your holiday without having to stand and wait). The restaurant have 4 theme nights throughout the week (Portuguese, Mexican, Brazilian and Seafood) you also have the option of the Italian al a carte (1 visit for every 7 night stay) We opted to eat out on seafood night (see my other review of Shahi Darbar Indian restaurant) as I have a fish allergy, however we could've eaten in the bar using the snack bar day menu if we'd have wanted to. The food quality was always of a high standard. I would say there isn't a huge choice at night but there was always the staples (soups, breads, salads, a fab cheeseboard table etc) you honestly couldn't go hungry or struggle here at all. One small negative for us was the plate sizes at breakfast-they only provide side plates. If you fancy making up a full English or are getting freshly made eggs benedict from the cooking station, your food will be across two plates. It's a shame they couldn't have dinner plates out at breakfast too. The restaurant had plenty of help yourself food stations but also some freshly made stations too-pastas and meat/fish usually. Yes you needed to wait a few minutes but it was never long at all. We have to give a shout out to João from the Italian. We ate here twice throughout our stay and both times he was the most polite, courteous and friendly waiter. Also the food in here was unbelievably good. Such high quality. Drinks wise, well again, just superb! Freshly made cocktails, 'full fat' beer (as my hubby called it) really nice red wine, sangrias, cocktails, cold coffees (with coffee machines that stayed on all day and night-we know lots of hotels turn these off after breakfast) fizzy pop, fruit juices, bottles of water etc. The snack bar also offered magnums, cornettos, calippos, carte d'or ice cream, haribo push up ice creams all on the AI. So much choice. The pool area was very clean and relaxing. No sunbed wars here at all-get up, enjoy a relaxing breakfast, head down to the pool anytime up to 10.30ish and you could easily get sunbeds and a parasol. Even if you need to be near the kid's pool or at the front to keep an eye on your kids there was always plenty of beds to be had. Free pool towels from reception and change them as often as needed. This is the first hotel we've been to where there wasn't a lifeguard on duty (we're ok with that though as our 12 year old is a competent swimmer) and all types of inflatables were allowed in the pool. Staff were out constantly cleaning both pools and the surrounding areas. In fact staff were out n about all day cleaning, mopping etc. Here I feel I should give a mention to ALL staff: everyone we met was so friendly and polite. Diogo (and another lady who I am sorry but I didn't catch her name) were very professional on a day when I took poorly in the snack bar, both making sure I was ok and getting me back to my hubby. Thank you. Alf, Jackson, Tomas, all the evening bar staff, everyone on reception. You are all such lovely people, we loved the day you all came round the pool to dance during aqua dance, we've never known that in a hotel before, it was great! The entertainment is what you expect on holiday-you will join in with what you enjoy and the rest won't be your cup of tea. We mainly joined in with a few of the games during the day but didn't really pay it much attention on an evening. We often chose to walk along the promenade or have quiet drinks in the bar area. However the entertainment team were a friendly bunch and always stopped to have a chat with you. The grounds contained a large trampoline, a play park, kids club, table tennis, pool table (in the bar) and a wee games room, as well as a large library room and an open indoor pool (unusual in the summer). Plenty for our 12 year old to be occupied daily. It isn't a large hotel but big enough so that our 12 year old could be off herself with her new friends and we knew she couldn't be too far. We honestly didn't have big expectations for this hotel, however it far exceeded them in every way! I feel we have stumbled across a bit of a gem with this place. We holiday 2/3 times a year and we like to visit different places. We have only ever returned to 1 hotel previously. Vila Galé Nautico is most definitely a place we would like to return to next year. We have already recommended it to friends and family too (one of our friends has already booked for September). Thank you to everyone at Vila Galé for such an amazing holiday, we will see you again!

Everything was superb
It was all great
I stayed here for a week with my two children, all inclusive. Having read other reviews I was a bit worried about what the food would be like, but it was excellent! Meals in the restaurant were buffet-style and there was a huge amount of choice, with several things per meal being cooked to order. This meant that you may have to wait 5 mins for your turn, but the quality was exceptional. When an item on the buffet ran out it was soon replaced and most food was piping hot. As all inclusive guests staying for a week or more, our package included one evening meal in the A La Carte Italian restaurant, which was even better! The drinks package included a range cocktails and mocktails as well as all the usual drinks. All staff were cheerful and helpful, and the place was spotless. I’d go back in a shot if I had the chance!
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were all very pleasant, friendly, and always happy to help, which made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel bar served much better food than the main restaurant, and we found ourselves preferring to eat there. The location is also excellent—it’s only around a 5-minute walk to the beach, making it very convenient. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again
You know when you go to those Hotels and there's a management team always swanning around, micromanaging everything and disrupting the flow of the staff in their white shirt/blouse like the Hotel is their own personal vanity project ? Well this IS NOT that Hotel which reflects well on the management and even better on the staff who work hard , do a good job and are always complete professionals. Food is good , but I fear dyed in the wool Brits may struggle with some options , chicken hearts on a cocktail stick stands out for me. However even though I did not appreciate all the options for meals I could not knock their presentation and the cleanliness of the dining room , plus the pasta bar whereby they cook pasta for you with a variety of sauces always picked up the slack of the sea food dishes. PAY ATTENTION as this is simply not mentioned in the reviews or the website or indeed at check in: There is also a fantastic Al La Carte Italian option which if staying for 7 nights you get a free meal in and that was fantastic. The snack bar , I found was the best place to get dinner with a menu varied enough to have a different option each day for a week , I got to say on occasions the quality of the fries reached a whole new level of great. Drinks and cocktails where fantastic and freshly made ( allow 3-4 mins for a mohjito to be prepared),.However be warned the Lager Sagre tasted like Super Bock but was about the same alcoholic strength as Stella so have 1 or 2 pints less than normal , unless you drink Stella. You get access to 'proper' Ice cream on the all inclusive such as Calippos , Magnums and Cornettos , which is nice because I have been to plenty of 4 star all inclusive hotels that are full of kids crying cos they cant have that stuff! The entertainment team worked their socks off and you could really see the difference when they had their day off on Sunday and the evening turned into the Lord Of The Flies with feral 'unentertained' children making their parents do some parenting. Housekeeping visited everyday and the free minibar was topped up with anything you may have drunk , also if you are going to the very close and beautiful beach ( go at low tide and turn right) you will get a 2 liter bottle of water if you ask. Also if you have an early departure they will provide a 'packed lunch'. Got to say I would certainly return to this hotel and was impressed as I expected so much less.

Location, food, everything clean
Nothing to point out

Hotel it self and rooms are clean and nice atmosphere in the hotel pool area is great the only let down is the evening food the breakfast is lovely if u like omelettes and pancakes, the pool bar snack bar is nice but it’s the exact same every day no changes you order off a menu and wait for your buzzer but it’s the same stuff daily no changes, the evening food I did not like there’s a little small 3 dishes area for kids with fish and chicken nuggets I was not a fan at all I ended up eating out the steaks are horrible and dry and wasn’t much I liked and I ain’t a fussy eater I just didn’t like there’s evening meal times at all
Desde o check-in ao check-out tudo 5 estrelas 💫. funcionários muito cordiais e atenciosos 😍
Nada a acrescentar
A localização boa o hotel bom
Adorei a minha estadia!
Do atendimento e serviço dd bar e restaurante
Pyszne jedzenie.
Great location. Close to a lovely beach..Lovely room. Staff nice. Good buffet breakfast. It is obvious that this place is great for families and has a very active children's and entertainment programme.
We had the half board option. However it was not made clear to us what restaurant was included. I wouldnt have gone for it if I knew it was just the buffet. No clear information when booking. For a 4 star I would have expected tea and coffee making facilities included. I had to ask for a kettle - which initially they told me one was not available - but later did get one for me. Coffee machine you had to pay an additional fee for. No clear instructions on checking in although staff very nice! We had to ask for basic information. We only stayed 2 nights. If I was staying longer I would want more storage so as to unpack. If you dont go for the all inclusive package the buffet lunch can be expensive and no prices are displayed.

We spent 11 nights at the hotel . Staff all very friendly . Breakfast had freshly cooked whole you wait omelettes and eggs . Lunch in restaurant very good . You can cool down have a nice glass of wine . Dinner in evening was always good but we loved the nights when meats were down on BBQ. The star in the hotel is the waiter Tomas . He is friendly , efficient and his energy is incredible . He wants guests to have a good time and does everything to help . He was off on our last night and we had hoped to thank him but we return in August and look forward to seeing Tomas
Do buffet, da organização e da limpeza principalmente
No quesito atendimento é nota 11.
The staff were all so helpful and hard working. Hotel was spotless and communal areas always being cleaned. Pool was well maintained. Breakfast buffet was perfect. Great location.
A few sun beds could do with being replaced due to sagging.
Tudo otimo
This was a last minute booking for us as Jet2 informed us of issues at the hotel we’d originally booked in Menorca so this seemed like a safe bet. Based on reviews, location and our specific ‘wants’ for our main holiday. On arrival at Vila Galè Nautico, we were met with a very helpful receptionist who explained the checking in process and meal times etc very thoroughly. The reception area was clean and quiet and she informed us that the hotel was only at 50% capacity which was a bonus. Our room on the 4th floor was clean, spacious and had a view over the pool and to the sea right above the restaurant area. Staff at meal times are very friendly and get drinks to you straight away but that’s where the goodness of meal times stop. The buffet is SO small( same every day), and anything fresh is cooked whilst you wait, the queue for it doesn’t allow you access to the Bain Marie’s that has the’ luke warm’ food in them. Burger night (Mondays) is just one long queue as nothing is cooked in advance (any night) so you can be waiting for over 10-15 minutes if the food cooked is snapped up by those taking a couple of burgers/hot dogs at a time, they have the smallest hot plate I’ve seen in a hotel! The wait times drastically increased when what appeared to be a coach load of teenagers and their teachers arrived on day 3 and took the place over. Queues were terrible and seating was sparse. The food is bland, tasteless and very limited. I’d go as far as saying the food was 2* whilst the hotel overall is a 3* maximum! If you like rice or potatoes that’s pretty much all you’ll get. There is a pool side snack bar which serves sandwiches, burgers, fries, salads and drinks from 10:30 which in our opinion is a much better option than queuing for the buffet in the main restaurant. Down to personal preference I guess?! There’s a strict no reserving of sun beds which is good so even at 10am you’ll get a bed by the pool. So no worries there. Entertainment is pretty dire in the evenings and even ‘themed nights’ are fairly mediocre. The walls between the rooms are so thin you can literally hear everything from rooms either side and above you and some parents think it’s ok to allow their children to run down the corridors screaming at 7am! Definitely not what you want if you’ve come away for a relaxing break (as we did). Location wise the hotel is across the road from the beach and a short walk to local shops and restaurants but again, they’re all pretty similar. The area is being heavily developed at the moment so watch out for the dumper trucks and lorry’s driving up the Main Street. Walk as far as the fortress in the village where it’s a little more picturesque, it’ll take you about 20/25 minutes. The hotel is situated on the edge of the town with large residential blocks which are off the Main Street along the front. You can use your Uber app over here but be prepared to wait for a taxi unless you pay for an XL. We got a taxi into Albufeira old town which cost around £14 for 9 miles which was reasonable. The old town itself is vibrant, full of bars, shops, stag and hen parties. We didn’t stay too late as we had a feeling there was potential for some rowdiness. Back to the hotel, if you want 4* decor, 4* food, 4* service DO NOT COME HERE! It’s 3* AT A PUSH. Won’t be returning.
Amazing location, building has so much character, clean and beautifully maintained inside and out. Parking was easy to find and very reasonably priced. The staff are so friendly and really go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The in room breakfast is also a great touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone wanted to visit Rome.
There is nothing we didn’t like. The rooms are small given its central location but they have done a wonderful job of adding storage solutions and hooks to still keep everything organized.
Very pleasant! Love the buffet breakfast. I wish I had more time to stay at the hotel

This is a very nice hotel and well located for the beach or other amenities. The rooms are large and clean with fresh towels in the bathroom whenever you need them. What lets this hotel down is the food in the main restaurant, especially the lunchtime buffet. The food was very limited and portions were small. One day the offering was hot dogs which you could get anytime at the pool bar. Breakfasts were the same every day and the evenings were also very much the same. The food at the pool bar during the day was good and offered fresh cooked burgers or filled baguettes. This was our second time at this hotel but we will not be going back.
This was my second stay at Vila Galé Náutico, we stayed here last August as a family of 4 and returned early June just myself and my 10 year old for a short break. The location of the hotel is great - just 40 minutes from Faro airport with the beach and a variety of restaurants just a few minutes walk away. We also found a quieter beach just 10 minutes walk up the road. There's also a Lidl within walking distance. ZooMarine is well worth a day trip (or 2!) and is only a short Uber ride away. The hotel is clean, modern and felt very safe. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Last year we did have an issue with ants in our room (don't leave food out!) but the hotel sorted this for us. This year the room was spotless. Last year we had a double family room with large terrace overlooking the pool, this year we had a twin room at the front of the hotel with a balcony which was overlooking a car park but did also have a sea view. The pool side rooms are very noisy in the evening as they are also over the restaurant and evening entertainment, but this always finished by 11pm. The room at the front of the hotel was much quieter with minimal road noise. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable with a mini fridge, safe, hairdryer etc. The outdoor pool is good - a little cold at first but not freezing, and even in August when the hotel was very busy it didn't feel overcrowded. It could do with a bit more of a clean around the waterline, especially around the steps but on the whole it feels well looked after. In August it was difficult to get loungers if you weren't down by mid-morning but in June there were loads available at all times of the day. We used the indoor pool last year but this year they were enforcing swimming hats so we gave it a miss. Last year we were All Inclusive and we found that the evening food wasn't the best. There was a variety of options, and the themed nights mixed it up, but it wasn't amazing. Our kids also found it difficult to find options they liked so we didn't feel like we quite got value for money there. The pool/snack bar however does great food during the day and the breakfast has a lot of different choices available. The Italian restaurant on site is also very good (ate there both times). This year we decided to skip the all inclusive so we got to see what the individual prices are like. At the snack bar a hot dog, or toastie with fries costs €6.50, and a burger with fries costs €12.50. Cocktails were €6.50 too. We avoided using the mini bar in the room as the prices were very high (but is included in the all inclusive). The Italian restaurant was about €40 for the 2 of us. Other nights we went out for food. Overall we thought it was a great hotel and would definitely stay again, although we would avoid the summer holidays as we liked it a bit quieter.
Tudo bem limpo e organizado, ótimos funcionários, piscinas excelentes e café da manhã nota 10

We love the Vila Gale Nautico in Armacao de Pera and have just returned from our second visit. The hotel is perfectly situated for the beach and local cafes and shops in a place on the Algarve that is quieter than some of its busier neighbours. Rooms are spacious, clean and have everything that you need. We stayed all inclusive and the variety of food and drinks was a real highlight. Freshly prepared salads and and a great variety of fresh fruit, cooking to order of meat and fish at every meal, we were spoilt for choice! But the jewel in the crown is the staff. Led by Bruno, staff were consistently pleasant and helpful. Service with a smile. It made our stay. Keep up the great work! We look forward to returning 😁
One of the most relaxing places i have been /hotel excellent, staff and reception were very helpful on any request, we were AI beers and wines/spirits typical of AI. surrounding areas very picturesk rooms and toilet areas clean and towels changed every day only hiccup food, we ate out after first night, breakfast bacon smokey and streaky not my cup of tea, would return not on AI basis
This hotel is quite basic and not very clean. We had one of the junior suites. We had to change rooms within 24 hours of arriving. The first room was unclean and infested with ants. They were everywhere! The hotel’s entertainment is also outside in the middle part so you can’t escape the noise and it’s very loud. We have a baby who wakes up at 5am so wanted to get to bed at a reasonable time, but the entertainment went on until gone 11pm. They need to find a way t still have entertainment but not to keep everyone awake who doesn’t want to attend!!! Our second room on the other side of the hotel was better but still not great.
Limpeza
An excellent hotel. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and towels etc were changed everyday. The food was good quality and excellent selection, with a theme night everyday. The entertainment staff were fabulous, they included everyone in the activities and were alot of fun.The staff weren't just staff to us,but we made life long friendships.I would be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone!
Room and facilities good
Noisy public areas
This Hotel is in an area with very high rise buildings were Portuguese residents live, while the accommodation is adequate, the Hotel itself is soulless, a small local beer was 4 euro and a small bottle of water cost the same 4 euro, the food is not good, very basic and little choice, we were half-board and had to eat in local restaurants due to hunger, the Staff in general were not efficient and not friendly , everything seemed disorganised and nobody seemed to care, I wouldn't recommend staying here
