L'emplacement était super, un peu à l'écart du centre (mais à 5 min à pied quand même !) dans un quartier calme. La vue était très agréable surtout le soir au coucher du soleil. Le lit était très confortable !

Nous aurions aimé avoir des plaques de cuisson pour cuisiner mais ce n'est pas du tout indispensable.

Prachtige locatie net buiten hartje centrum Haarlem. Netjes, schoon en uitstekend verzorgd door de eigenaar!

Ruim appartement, rustig gelegen en op 4 min lopen van het centrum.

Het was nog best warm, ondanks 22 graden buiten. Denk dat het bij hoge temperaturen té warm kan worden daar het appartement een bovenwoning is.

It was a nice apartment in a great location. Haarlem was a very beautiful city with good access to the coast and also Amsterdam. We had a great time!

Sander is a great host! He is superb at communication and makes every effort to help with transport, places to go etc. It was lovely to be greeted by Sander rather than a key in a lock box! The property is located ten minutes walk from the centre of Haarlem and five minutes from bus stops, it is a great location! Plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and some super independent shops. Bakeries are open early and have an excellent selection of baked goods. We would highly recommend ‘ Toast ‘ for breakfast as the menu is extensive and interesting. The restaurant ‘ Gandhi ‘ is also very good. There is twenty four hour parking nearby which is very clean, well lit, and toilets. It is a safe and secure place. This is paid parking but well worth it as it is easier than trying to find a street parking. Yes, the stairs to the apartment are quite narrow and steep, but an overnight bag, small case or medium rucksack make life easy and the climb is well worth it!The apartment is very light and airy with a lovely green view. The neighbourhood is friendly, very quiet and safe. There is a lovely big bathroom with a super shower, plenty of lovely towels and a bath. The bed is very comfortable. The apartment is very well decorated.

Not a complaint but more kitchen equipment would help so you are able to use the stove top and the combination microwave, pans, casserole dish and some sharper knives eg: bread knife, vegetable knife etc. A check is necessary to see that previous guests have washed up properly.

Eine schön eingerichtete Wohnung in guter zentraler Lage mit einem tollen Badezimmer. Wir haben hier eine gute Zeit verbracht. In der Küche gibt es eine. Kühlschrank, eine Spüle und eine Mikrowelle. Nur eine Kochstelle ist nicht vorhanden Die schmale Treppe war für uns kein Problem. Der Vermieter hat uns sehr nett empfangen und war sehr freundlich. Wir können uns gut vorstellen, nochmal hier zu wohnen.

Wir hatten eine sehr stürmische Nacht, in der es auf dem Dach sehr laut geklappert hat. Das war im Schlafzimmer durch den Kaminzug extrem zu hören. In der zweiten Nacht war aber nichts mehr zu hören, da der Wind sich gelegt hat. Kostenlose sind etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, was aber dadurch machbar ist, dass man vor dem Haus ein- und ausladen kann.

Spacious accommodation a stones throw from the centre. Lovely quiet location. Some nice touches such as coffee machine, selection of teas etc Bed was comfy and Bath/shower both great.

As many have said very narrow stairs. Not for people with mobility issues, lots of luggage or small children. Would prefer a slightly more comfortable sofa in living area. While very close to centre it was a 25 min walk from train station, not an issue had we known so that’s our bad for not checking!

Eine wirklich schöne Wohnung nur wenige Minuten vom Zentrum. Wie konnten prima alles zu Fuß erreichen. Eine kostenpflichtige Tiefgarage gab's einige Gehminuten entfernt, so dass das parken auch kein Problem war, nachdem wir eingecheckt hatten. Ein Supermarkt ist auch ganz in der Nähe. Es war alles sehr sauber, gepflegt und schön eingerichtet. Wir haben uns wirklich wohl gefühlt. Im Vorfeld und während des Aufenthalts war die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber wirklich toll. Wir bekamen bereits vorab viele Informationen - so hervorragend bin ich noch nie irgendwo vorher informiert worden. Auch auf Fragen gab es sofort eine Antwort. Wenn wir wieder nach Haarlem, werden wir gerne wieder zu Gast sein.

Nicht gefallen wäre übertrieben. Aber an die steilen Stiegen musste ich mich etwas gewöhnen.

Wonderful apartment in the beautiful city of Haarlem. Our host was friendly and helpful, and always available when we needed him. The beds were great and the apartment spacious enough for our family of four to feel very comfortable.

Prima B&B voor een weekend Haarlem. Locatie op een paar minuten lopen van de stad. Alles aanwezig. Leuke host die je goede informatie geeft.

Er hangt een rookgeur op de gang en je moet 2 trappen op.

Prima apartementje, schoon met een zeer ruime badkamer en heel fijne douche. Heel rustig gelegen, 4 minuten lopen van het centrum.

Het bed was iets te zacht.

Mooi, schoon en ruim appartement. Je wandelt zo het centrum in, terwijl de wijk heel rustig is. Mooie badkamer met een groot bad en goede douche. Contant met de eigenaar was goed en reageerde snel!

Opmerkelijk dat een bed and breakfast geen breakfast serveert / geen kookfaciliteit

O apartamento é amplo, silencioso e muito bem equipado, com várias comodidades que tornam a experiência ainda melhor. Limpeza impecável, cama confortável e banheiro espaçoso com ótimo chuveiro e banheira. A localização é encantadora, em uma rua charmosa e tranquila. Adoramos e com certeza voltaríamos!

Schöne und helle Wohnung. Top Lage um Harleem und die Umgebung zu erkunden. Sehr sympathischer und hilfsbereiter Vermieter.

Entgegen der Beschreibung der Wohnung ist kein kostenloser Parkplatz vorhanden, sondern es gibt eine Möglichkeit, das Fahrzeug in etwa 700 Meter Entfernung kostenlos zu parken. Die Küche benötigt eine Grundreinigung.

De host is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Rustige omgeving. Fijn bed. Schoon genoeg.

Parking on the street in front was almost impossible. There was a great underground parking 10 min walk away.

La posizione è ottima per un soggiorno tranquillo nella città di Haarlem. Anche Amsterdam è abbastanza facilmente raggiungibile con un autobus che ferma vicinissimo e con un tragitto di 30 minuti circa.

L'alloggio ha, come è tradizione nelle case storiche nei Paesi Bassi, alcune rampe di scale abbastanza ripide per raggiungere il piano.

Lovely host and great communication, well thought through and everything needed for a short stay, coffee machine was good and small kitchenette. Haarlem is lovely and an escape from the crazy Amsterdam

Great location and very comfy. The property owner/manager was very cordial and clear in the communications, and helpful with the support.

This is a nice modern apartment located in a area with no much traffic, yet conveniently close to restaurants and just a 15-minute walk to the train station. The larger room features a bunk bed, the bedroom is small, but has a comfortable bed. The bathroom is really nice as well. The owner is very friendly, making communication a breeze. It’s a traditional skinny house, so be prepared to navigate two sets of narrow stairs.

It’s not related to the apartment, more to the area: the seagulls were so loud that they woke me up the first morning.

The place is truly wonderful and a joy to stay in. Everything is in working order and the space was extremely clean. I also love the location as it was just a 10 minute walk from the busy downtown area, but in a quieter residential area. Lastly, the host (Sander) was responsive and provided recommendations on how we could enjoy the area more fully. I highly recommend this place for your next visit to Haarlem. Plus, it's just a 15 minute train ride to Amsterdam.

The accommodation was very well situated with easy access to the town of Haarlem and all other facilities. It was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The host was very friendly, easy to contact and provided useful information. He even helped us to get our suitcases up and down the steep stairs on arrival and departure

Not an issue as the host helped us, but be aware that, as mentioned by others, the stairs were very steep.

The apartment is on the 2nd floor. It had everything you could think of and the owner was also friendly and helpful. The location is also unbeatable. Totally recommended!

Beautiful little apartment in a quiet and pretty area of Haarlem. Easy stroll into the centre of this beautiful little city. We also walked to the station and got the fast train into Amsterdam- really easy and much nicer than staying there! Spotlessly clean and great facilities- the bathroom is fantastic with a huge bath and really good shower. Lovely sunset view over the rooftops. Great and thoughtful communications with the host, who gave great tips for parking and local restaurants. We only stayed 2 nights but would have liked to be here longer to cycle to the beaches and explore more of Haarlem. Perfect for our family of 4- we were comfortable and happy and appreciated all the thought that has gone into making this a great place to stay. Thanks for having us!

Nothing to report! Traditional steep stairs were expected and not a problem. Warm in the apartment but can open all windows for a lovely through breeze and fans provided.

Everything was amazing! Nice rooms and kitchen, big bathroom. Good beds. Very quiet neighbourhood. Good location, not far from city centre and train station.

Parking outside but we knew we had to park a few roads away before we booked. Only a short walk and there is a bike you can use. This really is a minor point and does not detract from this great accommodation.

A beautiful, upstairs apartment, with all amenities, situated in a lovely residential area, just round the corner and over the bridge into the town of Haarlem. If I had to suggest one thing it would be to put the name plate above the doorbell as there is 2 number 8s. Other than that would 100% recommend Sanders apartment when considering a trip to Amsterdam.

Loved the space. Nicely appointed, and our host, Sander was quite gracious and was there to greet us. The shower was fantastic.

The Rose was in a great location, within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to be. The property itself was lovely - we liked the simple but chic style. The kitchen had everything we needed and the shower and bath were amazing. A very comfortable bed. It was very quiet - no street or neighbour noise.

I know many reviewers have mentioned the steepness and narrowness of the stairs. We agree with the description but didn’t find this a problem. It’s very typical of Dutch buildings I believe. We have nothing negative to say about the property - we loved it.

The location was really good. Fantastic bath just what we needed after cycling and camping. Everything we needed to cook and the washer and dryer were a big bonus.

The key to the door was tricky a neighbour unlocked the door. Those coffee machines are amazing if you know how to use them. For those that don't it would be nice to be left instructions.

Unfortunately the hobs had been removed, was notified beforehand but made cooking a bit hard but we got by. Also the stairs up are a bit of a killer especially with luggage but once you make it, it is worth it

Very hot upstairs, although there are vans in the rooms. Travelling with kids, be aware windows are low.

The unit was well appointed and comfortable. Having laundry machines available was a bonus. Great location. The host was responsive and provides a collapsable bicycle if u park far away (10 min walk only).

Location, location, location! This place was so conveniently located and very peaceful. You can walk to all the highlights and the central station is less than a mile away.

The stairway was narrow and steep but that is just part of the unique characteristics of the apartment.

Very comfortable. Had everything we could have needed. Great location for us. Owner provided a folding bike for getting to the parking lot with our car—although we walked as it was decently close. Loved that there were washcloths! Nobody in Europe has those. :)

The stairs were very narrow and steep—wouldn’t be user-friendly for everyone. Walls and sofa could be cleaned a bit. Lots of scuff marks everywhere—sofa upholstery a bit dingy but maybe it’s just faded/discolored from sunlight. We had to dust the bedroom when we arrived and clean some previous person’s food crumbs off the couch. Not big deals, but I’m a clean freak.
