The cabin was in a great location on the lake. Peaceful and serene. Whilst the cabin was only small it was well set up with all that was needed. We had a wonderful view of the northern lights which we did not expect late in August.

Surrounded by nature with a peaceful atmosphere. Adventure activities also available on site. The private sauna and spa area was luxurious. Great on site food at the restaurant. Well equipped small kitchen in our cottage that allowed us to cook meals. Very comfortable stay. Staff were helpful, responsive and friendly. Super great value for money!

Great location and staff

This little cabin was awesome. It was stocked up with everything you need, and it was a great base of operations for all the traveling and activities we did around Lapland. Plus, being able to wake up in the middle of the night and just walk outside for 20m to the frozen lake to watch the Aurora was a huge bonus too. Even when I locked us out of the room at 4 am in -26c weather, I called the host and he was there to unlock our door in less than 15 mins... and I know for a fact I woke him up from the deepest possible sleep. Great stuff, hope he forgave me. Make sure to visit "Northern Lights Park" just next door during the day, they have some great activities. We got to meet their reindeer and had a private sauna, jacuzzi and cold plunge session there. Pros: - in-cabin sauna - apartment had a lot of small amenities such as coffee, tea, cooking utensils and consumables (oil, salt, sugar, soy sauce) - probably leftovers from previous tenants but still appreciated - the location was really nice, the frozen lake was amazing - nice view of both Aurora (if lucky) and hazy sunrise - overall cozy vibe - very well isolated and warm despite up to -30c outside - they had a restaurant in the big hotel outside (with takeaway options too) but we didn't end up going

Cons - honestly nothing comes to mind, maybe some things were less than ideal in the moment but overall the experience was so great that the good completely overshadows any possible bad. Maybe a double bed instead of twin would have been nice, and a nicer shower... but hey, it's a small cabin with an even smaller bathroom and they still made space for a sauna in it, so you really can't ask for anything more

I liked the tranquility so much and the staff very helpful! We could see the northern lights from the window and was fantastic! Absolutely lovely ! 100000% recommend !!!

El desayuno estaba incluido y no lo sabíamos, tenía unos gofres para ver tu mismo exquisitos. Los alrededores son preciosos. El interior con mucho detalle y mimo. Hasta tiene un scape room dentro, will vital no pude usar por falta de tiempo.

El único pero es que no pude usar la sauna por la mañana, y llegamos muy tarde en la noche, así que cogí esa habitación por la sauna y no pude usarla.

Het was heerlijk afgelegen en een super mooie locatie. Het huisje wat overigens echt fantastisch met de sauna en het uitzicht.

Die Lage war super, sodass wir Polarlichter über unserem Ferienhaus sehen konnten. Das Personal sehr nett und hat stets weitergeholfen.Die angebotenen Aktivitäten waren Klasse.

Das Bad, ohne separates WC war für 4 Erwachsene etwas zu klein.

De locatie is prachtig, het personeel zeer vriendelijk. De eigenaar Janne heel aardig en neemt de tijd voor een gesprek. Met Janne een sneeuwscooter tour gedaan was heel leuk en uitdagend. We hadden huisje Karpalo, niet super groot maar helemaal prima. Huisje is netjes, schoon en alles is aanwezig. Heerlijk in de sauna gezeten in het huisje, echt perfect. Noorderlicht supergoed te zien vanaf het meer.

⸻ Nossa experiência no hotel foi simplesmente perfeita. Desde o momento da chegada, fomos extremamente bem atendidos — da recepção à equipe da cozinha, todos os funcionários foram muito educados, atenciosos e acolhedores. Sem dúvida, o atendimento foi um dos grandes pontos fortes da nossa estadia. O quarto era super espaçoso, tudo muito limpo e organizado. Apesar de o hotel oferecer apenas camas de solteiro nos quartos (as opções de cama de casal ficam nas cabanas), as camas eram extremamente confortáveis e proporcionaram noites de sono excelentes. A roupa de cama estava impecável, o banheiro muito bom e o chuveiro ótimo — tudo funcionando perfeitamente. As instalações do hotel são muito boas e a localização tornou a experiência ainda mais especial. Foi perfeito para observar as Northern Lights (Aurora Boreal). Há um lago congelado bem próximo onde podíamos ir procurar as luzes, e o melhor: voltar para o hotel para tomar uma bebida quente (disponível a noite toda) e sair novamente para observar o céu. Essa dinâmica deixou tudo ainda mais confortável e mágico. Foi uma experiência incrível, superou nossas expectativas. Amamos e voltaríamos com certeza!

De ruimtes die beschikbaar waren voor de gasten. Lekker relaxen in de lounge banken, spelletjes, koffie en thee. Goede vibe.

Saubere, warme, gepflegte Unterkunft, 40min von Rovaniemi entfernt. Dank des zugefrorenen Sees vorm Haus ist ein Blick auf die Nordlichter bei klarem Himmel nur 3min entfernt. An 4 von 5 Nächten konnten wir sie beobachten. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Speisesaal ist gleichzeitig das gemeinsame Wohnzimmer der Gäste, ausgestattet mit Fernsehern, Spielen und gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten. Frühstück (inbegriffen) und Abendessen (nicht inbegriffen) waren sehr gut. Die Suppen ausgezeichnet. Geboten wird im Haus und in der näheren Umgebung viel, von Schneemobilfahrten über Schneeschuhwandern bis hin zu Huskytouren. Warm, sauber, heimelig. Mehr als empfehlenswert.

We had an amazing stay at Palojärven Lomakeskus. The cottage was cozy, comfortable, and perfect for a couple. The highlight was definitely the private sauna inside the cabin, such a special experience after a cold day out. The staff also came over to show how to work the sauna at a short notice! The cabin also had a fully functioning kitchen with all the appliances we needed, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home. And the best part: because it’s far from the city lights of Rovaniemi, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from our stay. Truly unforgettable. Highly recommend!

First of all, this is a family-owned and run business. The hosts are very nice and friendly, which made us feel welcome and comfortable. We arrived late, around 11PM and the host left the keys out for us, but in the end waited for us. We stayed in a room in the main house - btw the main house has a big lobby where you have different activities you can do here - puzzles, a VR set etc. The room was clean and warm. The hot water runs non-stop, so if you are out late, no worries. Breakfast is good and fresh. You can see the aurora very well from here; you have the frozen lake with a lot of open space. I saw a comment mentioning the high price of the sauna service - I tried it and trust me it was over expectations. You have a hot tube outside the house, a path to the frozen lake for a dip and in the house you have a living room with snacks, water, towels, bathrobes, shoes etc, then you have a space in which you can have a shower and then you have the sauna room. The hosts also organise snowmobile trips/tours. Didn't have time to go on one, but it's good to know. All in all, we have only good things to say and are thinking when to go back again:).

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Room 5 was magical, just a few steps from the frozen lake, which created an enchanting atmosphere. The accommodation was very well equipped, with a stunning view. Everything was perfectly prepared: the sauna, the kitchen, the heating… all very cozy and comfortable. A truly amazing experience, we loved every moment!

One of the best stays in our all Europe tour. Perfect homeowners, great activities. Must try snowboard. Also we had an amazing aurora view from this facility. Extremely recommended if you got a car.

Helt fantastisk og unikt sted at bo. Ekstremt søde værter, der gør alt i sin magt for at gøre sit ophold helt perfekt, alt kan lade sig gøre. Vi boede i den mest fantastiske hytte, vi har nydt vores ophold mere end ord kan beskrive. Det er 2. gang vi er her og vi kommer helt sikkert igen. Virkelig lækre måltider også.

Unvergesslicher Aufenthalt in einer wunderschönen Landschaft. Das Team ist sehr hilfsbereit und es gibt einige Aktivitäten direkt auf dem Gelände. Unser Highlight war Snowmobile fahren! Die Natur ist atemberaubend und ruhig. Wir hatten sogar Glück und konnten die Polarlichter anschauen, während wir auf dem gefrorenen See standen.

De omgeving is prachtig en de eigenaren zijn enorm vriendelijk en gastvrij. Daarnaast hebben ze goede opties voor het avondeten en een lekker ontbijt met lactosevrije opties. Wij vonden de sfeer erg aangenaam, een soort huiselijke sfeer waardoor je je snel thuisvoelt. Ook hebben we sneeuwschoenen bij hen gehuurd en gaf de eigenaar ons een mooie route in de omgeving mee. Wij hebben genoten, enorm bedankt!

On a eu les toilettes bouchées on a eu aller dehors pour aller aux toilettes (ils proposaient l’accueil mais en pleine nuit c’est compliqué). Le Mr qui est venu faire les réparations étaient super sympa.

Tout était parfait C'était agréable de pouvoir avoir une navette sur place Le petit déjeuner était très bon et copieux Les hôtes sont adorables et de bons conseils Le cadre est superbe pour des raquettes et apprécier le calme et la Laponie. Les chambres sont très bien avec belle vue sur la forêt Le restaurant le soir a une carte simple , très bonne et fait maison. Le salon est cosy pour chiller après une bonne rando. On a adoré. On a hâte de revenir.

We come with 2 kids of 8 and 5 years old. Everything was perfect. Thank you very much to the staff and the owner they were exceptional: very kind, friendly, welcoming, and always available. The cabins we stayed in were excellent — new, clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The place is extremely quiet, safe and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and enjoying Finland. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. We would highly recommend this place and will definitely come again.

Schöne neue eingerichtete Tinyhäuser mit Sauna und netten Gastgebern. Die Lage war für uns perfekt, denn wir wollten gern etwas fern ab von Rovaniemi sein. Mit dem Auto kann man die Stadt in ca.40 Minuten erreichen. Auf dem Weg in die Stadt liegen einige kleine Märkte, aber ein Auto ist fast unverzichtbar.

Rezeption selten besetzt, es gab wenig Informationen zu den Aktivitäten oder wann das Restaurant geöffnet ist. Für uns war das nicht entscheidend, da wir wussten, was wir erleben wollen.

La porta esterna e la serratura erano un po' fastidiose da chiudere bene con facilità. Forse la temperatura estrema invernale non è stata d'aiuto.

De locatie van chalet ´Karpalo'´ aan het meer was top. De chalet is heel gezellig en comfortabel ingericht voor 2 personen. De bedden liggen lekker. De keuken is goed uitgerust met een kookplaat, magnetron, oven en ijskast. In de badkamer is er een sauna.

De badkamer was vrij basic maar prima te doen.

Lovely place and very beautiful

We really enjoyed this place! Beautiful surroundings, cozy cabins, and most importantly incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Food and cleaning are your own responsibility. Getting to the city is possible (one way €80). Perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. Definitely recommended!

The airconditioning makes a lot of noise

Everything about this was sensational Love the fact you had to travel to get there, away from all the hustle and bustle Staff were accommodating when it was busy. And communicated well. It was like staying with friends or family Even more of a bonus, for those of us who don't eat meat - there are options .........wow!! The view of the (frozen) lake and starlit sky was breathtaking Sauna in the room was perfect Twin beds worked very well too

The fact we didn't stay longer

周りは自然に囲まれ、湖まですぐに行くことができます。 オーロラ鑑賞やスノーモービルは素敵な景色と共に楽しむことができます。 スタッフがどなたも優しく、英語が苦手な私たちでも、いつも手助けしてくれました。

ロヴァニエミ市街地から車で40分ほどかかるため、レンタカーや平日の市営バスがないと市街地まで出るのに手段が少なくなります。 ただ、送り迎えの送迎もとても親切で、直前での場所変更やお迎えの際にスーパーを指定したら、時間よりも前に到着し、名前を掲げてスーパーのレジの近くで待っていてくれたことが本当に助かりました。

The location was good for Northern lights. The staff was really helpful and friendly.

There was ice in the parking lot and it was difficult to get around. You can hear everything. And in the room there was a very powerful smell of food . It's ok for one or two nights.

Posizione incredibile per vedere l aurora boreale! Sarebbe stato un posto top se non fosse per il cantiere rumoroso.

Pulizia pessima, la cucina era sporca (forno, stracci, spugne già usati con residui di cibo…) e il bagno era pieno di muffa, soprattutto la tenda della doccia e puzzava. Eravamo proprio da parte a un cantiere che lavorava fino a tardi e le luci davano fastidio per vedere l aurora boreale, abbiamo dovuto spostarci sul lago. Impossibile contattare la struttura.
