Reviewed Sep 15, 2026The staff is kind and helpful. The place feels like you are on a high school trip with your class, both in a good and in a bad way. The location is beautiful.
The WIFI didn't reach the house properly. The shared shower is a weak point, small and you get only 4 minutes for your coin, 1,5 of it is getting the water to warm up. Simple, not too comfortable beds, lack of useful equipment (ex. trash can) in the house.

Vreselijke bedden. Daar moet echt in geïnvesteerd worden. Te primitief voor ons. Alleen koelkast en twee elektrische pitjes om te koken. Centrale keuken, toiletten en douches wel schoon.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Checking fácil. ubicación, excelente a los pies de un lago. Nosotros cogimos una cabaña, la cual estaba equipada con todo lo necesario para hacer vida allí. Disponía de baño privado parking gratuito en la puerta de la cabaña. Cama cómoda.
Todo perfecto, como única pega, no hay protección para la luz en la cabaña, por lo que entra mucha luz desde los primeros rayos de amanecer

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Spacious camping next to the lake. We had a tiny house and was pretty functional, with four single beds. There's a peaceful atmosphere in the camping. There's a playground for the children. The staff is very active for cleaning the commons.
Missing blackout curtains: how is it possible to in a place where the sun is up at 3am?. Pricey

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Perfecte plek voor mooie uitstapjes. Aan mooi meer. Leuke, kleine speelplek voor kinderen. Tijdens ons verblijf waren er meerdere mensen die ook een paar nachten bleven. Dat gaf een gezelligere sfeer dan we op andere campings merkten waarbij iedereen snel weer vertrok. Lekkere douche (wel kort, of kies de douche linksachterin). Er is ook nog een gezamenlijke keuken met oven, als je aan 1 pitje in de hut niet genoeg hebt. Receptie is lang open. Eidfjord zelf is een gemoedelijk dorp (als de zon schijnt en er geen cruiseschip ligt). Tips voor uitjes: wandeling aan de voet van de Voringsfossen-waterval (google: Voringsfossen bottom hike), dus niet de toeristenstop bovenaan. Verder (expert) wandeling bij Kjeasen. Of als je niet van wandelen houdt het uitzicht vanaf Kjeasen op een mooie dag. Andere opties: Noors Natuurcentrum, Fruit&Ciderroute in Ulvik of de Vier Watervallen wandeling bij Husedalen. Uiteraard ook de toeristische autoroute Hardangervidda rijden!
Gezien prijs-kwaliteit viel niks tegen, want t was écht goedkoop. Maar mindere punten: maar 1 pitje om te koken, beperkt servies, muffig matras. Afwasruimte was beperkt. Douchen met muntjes.

There were only four men's toilets so I had to wait for a while. A man was dying his hair by the toilet's lavatory even though there was a notice to use it only for washing the hands.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026El camping está en una zona muy bonita y las cabañas estaban limpias. Los baños muy limpios y en la cocina podías prepararte comida o cena sin problema. Dispone de lavadora y secadora de pago que viene muy bien para ir de ruta.
En la cabaña de al lado viajaban con gatos y no me quedó claro si en todas podía haber mascotas. En otros campings está claramente distinguido si las usan animales o no y para personas alérgicas puede suponer un problema.

You also can enjoy nice walks around the area. the cabins are clean and spatious, have basic equipment, there is also a common kitchen area . Showers warm and clean.

We used the fjord sauna to warm up. The room space was huge, we liked that. The facilities of the camping are practical and clean

As soon as we arrived, we forgot about our fatigue — the campsite is located in a beautiful mountain setting with stunning views all around. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The beds were clean and fresh, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare a hot dinner. The shared shower and toilet facilities were nearby and matched the description provided when booking. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and felt it was an excellent place to spend a night while exploring Norway. We would happily stay here again.

Einige Ausstattungen waren leicht defekt (Lampe über Herd, Mülleimer, Eisfachverschluss im Kühlschrank, ...). Nichts dramatisches.
